Excerpt:
"Excuse me." Thepit of her stomach dropped. Her glass barely touched her lips when she heardthe husky voice. Everything in her froze. She turned around slowly to see whowas behind her. Her gazed stared at the black, but well-worn cowboy boots thatsomehow seemed familiar. Dark blue jeans encased muscled calves and thighs. Hispants weren't too tight and just hinted at the curves and bulges theyconcealed. A stretched black shirt hugged a broad chest which only enhanced theflatness of his stomach. Sandy brown hair brushed the top of his shoulders.Full lips that might turn up into a sneer in a heartbeat were smiling at her.Dark blue eyes gazed at her holding more wisdom than they should have. "Can Ihelp you with something?" Hegave her a crooked smile. "I was wondering if you might want to dance." Sheglanced at him and tried not to melt right there on the bar stool. The band wasstarting a slow song. Couples were getting snugly on the floor. A pang oflonging went through her. He seemed handsome enough. He waited patiently. Shesipped her drink one more time and placed it on the bar. "That'd be nice." Heoffered her his hand. She took it. Once she did, a bolt of electricity zappedher and made her stagger. He caught her and held her close. "Are you okay?" She reachedthe top of his chin and tilted her head back so she could gaze into his eyes. For a moment, she thought she saw a tornado reflected in them. Shaking herhead, she dismissed the vision. Get a hold of yourself. "Yeah. Tripped. That's all." He ledher onto the dance floor and rested his palm against the small of her back. Theheat of his hand burned through her thin shirt, but the overwhelming sense thata storm was near made her head spin. Her stomach knotted the way it got beforea boomer rolled in. Her muscles were tense and she didn't know why. There was astatic charge in the air. She rested her hands on his shoulders and moved intime to the music. Over her partner's shoulder, she saw Trina sandwichedbetween the two college boys. Her friend gave her a thumbs up. "What'syour name?" her mystery man asked. His hot breath tickled her ear and made hershiver inside. "Georgiana.Everyone calls me George. You?" "Wyatt." Shenodded and settled against his shoulder inhaling his musky scent. She tried toignore the static charge in the air and relax into the dance. For whateverreason, she was comfortable with him. Not many men made her feel that way. Ifthey did, then the relationship lasted a few months before they left. Hepressed her a little closer against him until her breasts brushed his shirt, but he made no further move. His hand remained on her back and didn't try toslip down and cop a feel. His other hand rested on her hip. She appreciated hewas being a gentleman. Then the song ended. "Can Ibuy you a drink?" he asked. "I'mgood thanks. I had quite day and not sure alcohol needs to be involved in it.What about you?" Hechuckled. "I thought men bought drinks for ladies and not the other wayaround." "Ha.I'm no lady." Wyattlaughed. "You sure look like one to me." His lips were only inches from hers. The pullbetween them was dizzying. She was already tipsy even though she was stone coldsober. Gathering her self-control, she placed a hand on his chest. "Whatwould you do if I wasn't?" Hisgaze darkened. "You really don't want to know. If you're playing around withme, I'll—" Georgefelt him stiffen up. Crap."I'm just kidding. Sorry. I've had a-ahh…wella fucked up day. Thank you for the dance." She began to walk away, but hecaught her arm and spun her back around. "Iknow you were. I was just joshing. I'm sorry you had such a crazy day. Weshould compare stories. Maybe you can come back to my place and tell me allabout it." Sheraised her eyebrows. "You're awfully full of yourself, aren't you? Do youhonestly believe I'll go home with you just after one dance and the offer ofbuying me a drink?" Wyattcaptured her lips in a kiss that caught her off guard. She stiffened beforeresponding. The moment his lips touched hers, she heard thunder rattleeverything around her. Static electricity exploded through her. Her headreeled. Before the storm around her could ease, he pulled away. She stoodthere, lips pursed, frozen, taking a moment before she realized it was over. Whenshe opened her eyes, he gave her his smug smile. "Wow.I'll take that as a yes." Hestepped closer and reached behind her settling his hand on her waist, but hisfingers pressed against the mounds of her derriere. "Only if you really wantto. I can sense you do. What we have between us is stimulating. A little tumblein the hay won't hurt either one of us." Shebit her lip. He's so fucking fine. I can't say yes. I normally don't dostuff like this, but like he said, one night wouldn't hurt. I don't think he'san axe murder and I really need to get today out of my mind. "Do you alwaysuse such cheesy lines?" "Onlyon the beautiful ones."

Excerpt:
"How is your dinner?" "It'sreally good," she said.
"Anna isthe best chef in town. We're lucky to have her. But not as lucky as I am to besitting here with you. The universe has been good to me on this night."
"Youreally go with the flow of things?"
"Best tomaster your emotions than let them get the better of you. I learned that aftermy run-in with Tyler. He was the reason why Ronan stepped in and did what hedid. We've been friends for many years, and he's always been there for me. WhenI proposed he open the bar, he grumbled about it until I told him it was a goodidea to help him interact with people. It's not good for him to stay up on themountain all the time. So I became the manager. After a few incidents of himlosing his temper with some of the patrons, I suggested he try something towrangle his anger."
"Hencethe fishing."
Henrylaughed. "Yeah. He bitches and moans that he hates it, but I know he secretlyenjoys it. If he didn't, he would've stopped a long time ago. It has helped himtame his inner beast."
"Good toknow. How about we finish dinner and think about dessert?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, really." She ran her finger along his arm. At her touch, she felt his musclesquiver.
"Soundsgood to me. I have some chocolate back at my place."
"I lovechocolate. I especially enjoy licking it off my fingers. Maybe other placestoo."
"You keeptalking that way, and we won't need to go back to my place. I'll pull you intothe men's bathroom and fuck you right there."
Cassidydropped her shoe and then ran her foot along his inner thigh until her toe hitthe erection that strained against his pants. He jumped when she touched him."I have to veto the bathroom. I'm more of a bed kinda girl."
Hegripped the edge of the table. His knuckles were white from clutching it sohard. "God, you make me so hot."
"I'llmake you even hotter later. Want to get the check?"
Henrynodded. He signaled the waitress when she walked by. Cassidy took anothercouple of bites of her chicken. Henry paid the check, and then they got up toleave. He slid his hand around her waist and settled it on the top of her ass.Cassidy jerked from the sudden contact.
"Is thisokay?"
"Yeah."
The coolspring air ran a chill through her when they walked outside. He walked her tothe car and stood her against the passenger-side door. His body heat kept herwarm. Henry pressed his lips to hers. She pushed herself against him, feelinghis taut body. I can see myself with him. Oh yeah. He'll be greatwith his clothes off. Tonight is going to be good. She giggled. He thrusthis tongue into her mouth and Frenched her. Cassidy dragged her hands over hisback and clutched his ass. The door handle pushed into her left ass cheek, making her uncomfortable. She broke the kiss and was about to say somethingwhen she heard a growl.
"What thehell?"
Henryturned toward the sound. "Don't move, Cassidy."
Sheglanced over his shoulder and saw a large red wolf glaring at them. Its teethwere bared, and the hair on its back was raised.
Henrystepped toward the wolf. "You know better than to come out in public. Get thehell out of here before anyone sees you."
The wolfsnapped at him and advanced.
"What thefuck are you doing, Henry?" Cassidy asked, not sure she was seeing right thathe was talking to the animal that had stepped into the parking lot.
Hepressed the keys into her hand. "Go around the car slowly and get into thedriver's seat. I'll make sure nothing happens to you."
"What?No. Not without you."
"Don'targue with me on this. It won't hurt me."
Cassidysaw the determined look in his eye and knew he wasn't going to back down. Shestudied the wolf. It held its golden gaze on her. Henry kept himself betweenthe wolf and her while she inched around the car. [A1] When she washalfway around the vehicle, another wolf crept out of the shadows. Henrygrowled at the other wolf and lunged at it. It didn't back off. She fumbledwith the keys to the car, but dropped them to the ground. When she reached downto get them, another growl rumbled in her ear. She looked up slowly. A thirdwolf stared directly at her. She held up her hands.
"Nicewolf. Good boy."
The wolfstepped closer, blocking her path. Henry was still behind her, fending off theother two wolves. She started to rise. The wolf lunged and landed on top of her.The force of the impact knocked her into the pavement. Pain exploded in herhead, and her vision clouded. The weight of the wolf on top of her didn'tvanish. Its rotten breath blasted against her face. Cassidy heard Henry's voiceyelling at her through a tunnel. Before he could get to her, powerful jawsripped into her shoulder and scraped the bone. She cried out in agony. The wolfwas suddenly gone, but her life still flashed before her eyes.
The nextthing she knew, Henry was above her. Ronan had appeared on her other side likemagic. Cassidy tried to focus on what they were saying, but a burning sensationhad started to spread from her shoulder and throughout her body with every beatof her heart. Soon the blaze burned away at her brain, and she knew nothingelse.

Guest Blogger: Elizabeth Kyne: INSPIRATION FROM LIFE
INSPIRATION FROM LIFEAuthor Elizabeth Kynereveals how she used an irritating hairdresser to inspire her latestnovel
When people ask me a question, I have to replywith an honest answer, I just can't help it. This is usually a good thing, asin: "what have you done with the scissors?"; "I think I left them in thekitchen", which people appreciate, even if I should have really put them backin the drawer in the hallway. There's a problem, however, when it comes to thestandard greeting: "hello, how are you?". For some reason, I feel compelled toanswer this question in an honest manner. Even though I know the questionerisn't actually interested in the slightest, and merely wants to hear the words"I'm fine, how are you?". No, I have to tell them that I'm really frustratedbecause I got stuck in traffic in the rain, then stepped in a puddle when Ifinally got to my destination, soaked my foot right through and have probablyruined the new pair of socks my gran gave me for my birthday.

By this point you're probably wonderingwhat all this has to do with hairdressers and writing novels. Well, I'm gettingto that.
The hairdresser, you see, is the mistressof the "how are you?"s. She's also rather fond of the "where are you going onholiday?"s and the "how are the children?"s too. For someone who's not fine, isn't going on holiday and has no children, this is all a teensy weensy bitannoying.
And it's not just hairdressers. It's nailtechnicians and taxi drivers and opticians and – well, almost anyone in theservice industry who holds you captive for a period of time. Either you playalong with it or you dash out of the hairdressers with only half your hair cutor demand to be let out of the taxi half way through your journey. Neither isparticularly productive.
So, I take you back to the scenario of afew years ago when life wasn't going so well. I go out to have my hair cut ormy nails done to cheer myself up a bit, and what do I get? "How are you?". Itry to dodge the question by being both honest, yet dismissive with a "not sogood, really" in the hope they will leave it at that. But no! They keepreturning with their questions to try to get to the nub of the matter. Followedby the stealth move of asking "what do you do for a living?". Because as soonas you admit you're a writer, they're suddenly interested in you and want to hear all about it. The fact that Idon't really want to tell them is neither here nor there.
Which probably makes me sound like a grumpyold person. Well, back then, I was a bit grumpy because of the aforementioned'life not going so well'. So I started to analyze my response to thisapparently innocent line of questioning and I started to realize that myhonesty was part of the problem. Perhaps I should practice the traditionalresponse of: "I'm fine, how are you?", even though "fine" was a lie. But whyleave it there? Why not litter the whole conversation with little white lies tothrow the hairdresser off the scent? Why not, for example, answer the question:"what do you do for a living?" with "I'm an account"? Let's see the hairdresserget interested in that! (withapologies to all accountants, who I am sure are wonderful people).
I never had the bottle to go through withthis plan, but I did think about it an awful lot. And I wondered what it wouldbe like if I were actually an account and, rather than dissuade the hairdresserfrom asking me questions, I wanted to encourage her to ask me about myinteresting life. So I imagined a rather lonely account who, on a whim, made upstories of her life just to make things a bit interesting. She would, forexample, when asked about her family, decide to say she was married even thoughshe wasn't. And, to sound even more impressive, her husband would be the mostwonderful man in the world who cleans the house, cooks her amazing meals and isfantastic in bed. Thus, the seed of a novel was born. Icalled the woman Rachel and I imagined what would happen if she not only toldthe hairdressers about her fictional husband, but told her friends and her workcolleagues and almost anyone else she could think of. To the point where thestory becomes so real that it turns into the truth and, one day, Rachel returnshome to discover the man she has told everyone about exists and is living inher house. I wrote it up, with the flourish of a couple of sub-plots, and itbecame If Wishes Were Husbands.
You see, as writers, we're in the businessof making stuff up. It's practically the dictionary definition of fiction(except, expressed in more precise and formal language). But it doesn't meanthat real life cannot be our inspiration. Indeed, it is fiction's job to notonly entertain, but to reflect real life to a greater or lesser degree. Bytaking a scenario and dramatizing it, we can examine life in an entertainingway with, perhaps, greater depth than stating the facts would on their own. And, of course, have a bit of fun.
*****Rachel re-invents herself when she movesback to her home town of Aylesbury; with a new job, a new house and a newhaircut. But people's eyes glaze over when she tells them about her life as aforty-something singleton who works in accounts. So why not spice things up abit? Why not tell her new hairdresser and her new friends about her fantastichusband? Everyone wants to hear about Darren, the man who cooks her amazingmeals, cleans the house and takes her to bed for orgasmic sex three times anight! What a shame he doesn't exist…
…Until she comes home one night and findsDarren sitting in her lounge. And everything she said becomes true: from hissensuous food to his skill in bed. So real, that she believes it.
Not as if living with a perfect is man is…well, perfect…
She can't find anything because every timeshe puts something down, he tidies it away. Then there's the shock of thecredit card bill from buying all that gourmet food. Not to mention the sex!Three times a night is great at first, but sometimes all she wants at the endof the day is a sandwich and some sleep.
Then Rachel decides that Darren has to go -and that's when her troubles really begin.
Elizabeth Kyne takes the absurdities of themodern woman's quest for love and turns them into an enjoyable romp. She findsthe comic in everyday situations, from buying a dress to experimenting withhair dye at home. While, underneath, she comments on the pressure to find theperfect husband and how that quest is doomed for us all.

January Newsletter
Hi Everyone,
I hope that you are all having a great beginning of theyear. Does anyone have any plans? I have nothing major planned except attending FandomFest in Louisville, KY in June & Authors After Dark in NOLA in August. Iam sure these cons will be a ton of fun.
Now the reason for the announcements, well, I figured Ihaven't done an official newsletter in a long time. So my New Year's resolutionis to do a monthly newsletter and roll it into a blog. I'm horrible at keepinga blog. Honestly, I'm not sure how interesting my life is considering I workfrom home all day doing my day job, taking care of my two dogs, and of coursethe husband. And the characters from whatever I'm working on at the moment arealways raging in my head. Then again I could bore you with their conversations. It can be quite funny, at least to me at times.
The plan for the year is to write 12-15 books depending ontheir lengths. My writing goals for the month are normally 40K for a book, or20K for two short length stories. It all depends on what ideas hit me. I hopeto have my horror novel Death's Dance completed. Two more stories in the Hell'sGate series. Maybe another Lupine Gorge novel which the first one is ThreeFur All.
We will see what the New Year brings.
Read below for some sneak peeks for what is to come thisyear.
Hope you all have a great year.

The Dragon &His Houseboy – M/M
Saeran's dreamed aboutretiring from his lifestyle as a male prostitute for a while. But wouldcatering to a dragon shifter be the best thing? Dragons are known to bite nowand again.
Barro is enamored with Saeran and his luscious body. Inviting Saeran back tohis house to be at his beck and call seemed the logical thing to do at thetime. When Saeran accepts, he is overjoyed and can't fight the growingattraction between them.
Saeran becomes more to Barro than the houseboy he originally planned on. Thequestion is, what exactly is Saeran becoming? They open their hearts to oneanother, and all secrets are revealed
Excerpt:
"Thatreally isn't the way to treat a book. They are precious commodities." Saeranpicked up the tome. He walked it over to his benefactor, who had his backturned to him."Whogave you the right to speak to me that way?" he snapped.Saeranlaid the book on the desk and placed his hand on Barro's shoulder. He turnedand growled. The look on his face was that of an animal. His lips were pulledback in a snarl, showing his sharpened teeth. His black pupils were slitted andSaeran could see the small circles of scales along his face. Barro raised hishand ready to strike, but when the recognition of seeing Saeran set in, helowered it."Whatare you doing here? You shouldn't be here right now.""Why?""Becausebeing around me now means I'm either going to shift or I'm going to destroysomething."Hestepped closer and placed a hand on Barro's chest. His skin burned and hisheart beat rapidly against his ribcage. Barro growled but didn't shove himaway. His muscles were tense and he was on the edge of losing control. Saeranpressed his lips to the other man's throat and licked a line up his jaw untilthe stubble scratched his tongue."Don'tdo that.""Makeme stop."Barroclutched his shoulders, but he didn't force him away. Instead, Saeran sucked inhis Adam's apple and felt him relax a little. The dragon's fingers bit into hisshoulders, but he ducked under the shifter's arms and then ran his hands overhis back. Saeran began to massage the tight muscles. A small groan worked fromBarro's mouth."Youshould sit. I can do this better. Trust me."Thedragon shifter sighed and then consented. He sat in a low back chair. Saeranrubbed his neck, feeling the coiled and knotted muscles. He pressed his thumbsalong the ridge of the shoulder blades and worked the skin until he could feelthe muscles loosening underneath his fingers. He pushed and worked them for afew minutes, moving Barro's head to the side so he could get a better angle tomassage the tense areas of the other man."Thatfeels good."Saerandragged his nails down Barro's back and concentrated on other areas where hewas holding tension. The more he touched the other man, the more his cockstiffened at the thought of being next to him. Barro might have been attractedto him for no reason, but Saeran saw the authoritative man who could satisfyhis desires. Then he remembered how the day before this respected man had beendown on his knees giving him a blowjob. True, they had been interrupted, but itstill had felt wonderful. He shivered to think about it and wondered if itwould be a repeat occurrence. He moved down the bottom of his back and began tolift up his shirt when Barro pulled away."No.""Iwasn't thinking about doing anything kinky, just to rub your back. Tell me youdon't enjoy it. Tell me if you want me to stop." Saeran kissed his the columnof his neck and flicked his tongue over Barro's ear. The tang of salt and smokesettled on his tongue. He continued to kiss his throat, enjoying the taste ofhis new employer."Idon't want you to stop, but you should. The servants could walk in at anymoment."Heran his fingers through the other man's hair and titled his head to the side, but kept on kissing him, drawing the flesh between his teeth. He nipped harderuntil Barro shivered underneath his touch. Saeran dragged his hands down theshifter's chest and then over his groin. As he suspected, the other man's dickwas already hard, showing him that the dragon was aroused. His desire wastaking over. He bit Barro's ear and ran his fingers over the man's shaft. Heworked him through the material of the man's pants until Barro gripped hishand, squeezing his wrist, but he didn't stop him."Doyou want more?" he whispered. "Yes." "Tell mewhat you want."
A Cat For All - MFMM
A mysterious man beckonsOrianna to the hotel bar. Ryker confesses he and his two mates, Dallas andPierce, want her to return home with them.
To keep Pierce satisfied, Ryker invites a strange woman into their lives. Hestruggles with Orianna because she's their natural enemy, a vampire. As thebond cements between Orianna and Pierce, he discovers Dallas falling for hertoo.
Orianna is abducted and all three men dash to rescue her from the local prideleader. If they don't get there in time, there will nothing left of their newmate except ashes.
Excerpt: Allthree left the room and then walked down to the first floor where she was.Pierce knocked softly on the door. No one answered. Ryker gritted his teethbecause Orianna didn't answer. He listened and didn't hear anyone stirring onthe other side. He tried again with a little more force. "Doyou think she ditched us?" Pierce asked, trying to hide the disbelief in hisvoice.Rykerleaned closer to the door and inhaled deeply. "No. She's in there. Her scent isfainter, but she hasn't left." He banged on the door again. "Orianna, open thedoor. We're going to check out. Are you coming with us or not?"Stillno movement. Irritation rolled through him. His cat kneaded the inside of hisbrain, telling him it was not happy with the way this morning was turning out.The cat hadn't decided if it wanted Orianna with them or not. Now it wasfrustrated with the turn of events. He figured she would be ready by now. Dallas pushed him out of the way."Let me try, but block the door. You don't want the sun to get on her." He duginto his pants and pulled out a lock pick set. "Where did you get that?" Pierceasked. "Never leave home without it. Youdon't know when you're going to need it. Gotten me out of a few situations."Dallas smiled and then worked on the lock until it opened. Ryker watched withfascination because Dallas always surprised him. There were things about hismate he didn't know. He always kept his past a secret. After a few quick turnsand a sudden click, the door popped open. Dallas pushed the door open. Ryker stood in the doorway. Heimmediately thought of all the vampire movies he saw where a vampire's lair wasdank and smelled like decay. He shook the thought off because he knew it was amusty hotel room. The interior was completely dark. A blanket covered thewindow. The small shaft of sunlight that sliced into the room from the doorlanded on the bed. Orianna lay motionless. Pierce tried to push through to getto her. When Ryker moved, the sun hit her arm. The stench of burnt meat filledthe room. A lick of flame appeared on her skin. She sat up in bed and uttered apiercing scream that deafened him. "Oh, shit!" Pierce rushed in andnearly shoved him to the floor. Orianna had leapt from the bed and was huddledin the darkest corner of the room. Her arms enveloped her face, and she wasshivering."Shutthe door," Pierce shouted, grabbed the sheet from the bed, and wrapped itaround Orianna. Theroom was plunged into darkness. Her hollow gasps filled the room and soundedlike broken bellows. Only three heartbeats sounded in the room. Hers wassilent."Areyou okay?" Pierce asked, stroking her hair."I-Ithink so," she responded. "What are you doing here? I expected you last night, and you didn't show.""Wegot a little distracted," Ryker answered. "We came up here to get you so wecould bring you back to the house, but it appears we have run into acomplication. It slipped my mind."Oriannaglared at him and held up her blackened hand. "You think! The sun isn't just acomplication. It'll deep-fry me into oblivion if I step foot into it. Just goon without me. I'm more trouble than any of you want to deal with. I'll leaveat nightfall and be on my way. You won't have to see me again.""No!"Pierce cried out and pleaded with the two men. "You can't just leave. You haveto come back with us. Ryker, tell her. She's our mate!"Dallascleared his throat and knelt on the floor by them. "No, love. She's your mate. To me, she is nothing morethan a beautiful woman with an intriguing scent." He put a hand on Pierce'sshoulder and squeezed.

Underworld:Awakening- Love the first three.

There was a knock on the doorechoing through my apartment. My eyes glanced at the DVDplayer and I sighed debating if I wanted to press play or answer the door.Guess which one I chose? Yes, I opened the door and there was Dante in tightblack jeans and a red T-shit. He took my breath away as his dark hair was sweptup in a ponytail and his dark eyes sparkled. He looked up at me and held my gaze and produced a single purple rose.It was the most thoughtful thing. I took it and nicked my thumb so that abubble of blood came up and before I could clean it Dante snatched it up andsucked on it. The look on his face was pure ecstasy. He looked up at me,smiled, and ran his tongue over the flesh and yeah it was weird, but it wasalso the sexiest thing I ever had done to me. Withoutanother word, he pulled me to him and locked me in a deep throat kiss. Finallyhe pulled away leaving me breathless. "Wow. What prompted that?" Hecame in, locked the door behind him, and led me to the couch. His hands slidover my shirt searching for a way to get under it. I nearly fell into hisembrace, but decided that the evil flying monkeys were gnawing at my conscious.Something about this was all wrong. "Dante. This is great and all, but what thehell did you want to tell me. I get the feeling that your mother is not dying. So fess up." Helaughed richly reminded me of dark chocolate rubbing over silk, sweet and soft, but it would still go to my thighs. "You're very perceptive or I'm losing mytouch." "Let'sgo with I'm perceptive. Now what gives? You run off on me, break my heart andthen come crawling back lying about a dying mother. So what's up?" "Okay,so you got me. I lied about my mother, but there's something that I wanted totell you. Show you." Ileaned in close and kissed him lightly and he kissed me harder. I fell over ontohim and ran my tongue across his lips. As I did, I felt something sharp. Ipulled away quickly and came back tasting blood. Dante just looked at me andsmiled seductively. "Thatwas what I wanted to talk to you about. You see. I'm a vampire. I fell for youhard and I wanted to be sure about you. And I think I am." Istared at him and laughter bubbled up. We were certainly not in Kansas anymore. "Soyou're a vampire." Angercrossed Dante's face. "MadisonI'm serious. More than you know. I hoped that it wouldn't come down to this, but—" He pulled back his lips into a snarl and I saw his fangs growing and hestruck, biting into my neck. The pain was so abrupt that it hit me quickly andtook me a moment to react and then the pleasure of his mouth on my neck. Okay, this guy was for real. No normal human being could make teeth grow like thatand then move so quickly. Hmmm..the twister had picked up my house and landedme on top of the wicked witch herself. Finally, I came to my senses and startedbeating him on the chest to get him off of me. Not that I wanted him to stop, but a girl has to talk. Dantemoved back and I saw the smear on his lips and on his teeth as he preened thevestiges with his tongue. "Okay, I believe you. So what? You going to make meinto a vampire or what?" Hejust looked at me as if I had shot him. "You know, Madison. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have comehere. I thought. I don't know what I thought." He looked as if he had come tosome horrid realization. He bleached out like stone and I was a statue that hedidn't see. He moved toward the door and I looked at him puzzled and moved infront of him before he could get to the door. "Whoa, you come over here, tell me you're a vampire, and now you're just leaving. Whatthe hell?" Hesigned and stared me straight in the eyes. "Honestly, you're just not my type." Hepushed me out of the way and in an instant he was gone evaporating into mist. Iwas left open mouthed, gaping at where he had gone. I turned on my heel andwent back to the freezer, still in disbelief. I pulled out my last pint of icecream and took out a spoon. I was more in shock as I opened up the pint andpicked up the phone. But I hung it back up and knew that Chris would neverbelieve me. Damn, it was just my luck. Boyfriendssucked. Literally, it seemed. Iflicked the DVD on and even beforethe Technicolor cornfields came on, I decided to switch out the disc and put ina vampire movie that I had bought on a whim. Yeah, it was definitely time tofind a new movie. No more trips over the rainbow for me. From now on, I was sticking with mygirlfriends.
Hope you have enjoyed this. It's a short I'm thinking about expanding. Happy Holidays

Oh Christmas Tree

Blog by Drea Becraft
Tis the season…yep theChristmas season.
I have most of my outsidefamily already bought for but my children only a few things so far. I am so looking forward to seeing all thefaces of my loved ones as they open their gifts.
I am a real fake treelover. I have had a few come and go butmost last at least a few Christmases before they bite the dust. I love the smell of live trees but not thefuss of them when its just as easy to put up a tree and take it down and bedone with it.
Now some homes have the whitetree. While I think they are pretty I amafraid one will never grace my home. Ilike the tradition of the green against the multi colored lights and manyornaments to much to change that.
So what about you what kindof tree is your favorite?

Aimee's life changed onenight, not long ago, when she staked a vampire to save another. Still reelingfrom that life changing night, Aimee decides to go home with Brenda, her bestfriend, for the holidays. She never expected Brenda's brother, who comes offmore like the Grinch then Santa, to have so many saint like qualities. Yearsspent alone, with no family or friends, plays heavy on her mind but Nic couldpossible be the one who changes it all.
has always been a sore spotfor Nicolai. He's the real saint Nic, but society has him all wrong. He's nosaint. In truth, he's a vampire. Over the centuries, Nic has spent the holidaysfighting off the ridicule from his younger brother and giving to those lessfortune, not seeing his own worth. Until one mortal, brought home by his sisterBrenda, changes the holiday and his outlook on life for eternity.
Is it possible that Nic hasfinally found his Mrs. Clause? When worlds meld, can Aimee find the happy everafter she once asked Santa for so many years ago, or is she doomed to spendforever lonely on Christmas?
Excerpt:
With a flick of his hand, thelights next to the bed turned on as did a few lamps across the room. Once myeyes adjusted, I got a better look at the amount of presents. Hundreds, littered the room. The only space not filled was around the bed and a path totwo doors in opposite directions. Red, green, and golds splattered the room ina festive show of color.
"You really are Saint Nic."Astonished I tried desperately to keep my mouth closed.
"Please don't call me that."
"Why not?" Turning away fromthe presents I turned my gaze to Nic's in question.
"Because I'm nowhere near asaint." Brows furrowing Nic stared intently at the computer screen.
"Then how did you get thename?"
"That would be Jaysen's doing. One day, not to long after I started giving the gifts, we got into an argument.I don't remember most of what was said, after all, it was quite a while ago,but I do remember the comment was rather snide. To this day neither of us knowshow it ended up outside our argument, but it still reminds me of that comment.Besides saints are deemed so because of the greatness they do for mankind all Ido is give a few toys to some kids."
Moved by the noticeable hurtin his eyes, a relentless knot twisted in my stomach. Though I still didn'tknow him, the connection between us grew with each passing moment.
Whether it was hormones orthe fact that we were supposed to be mates, I didn't know, but I couldn't standto see him sad.
I scooted out of the bed andmade my way to him, wrapping paper shuffling under my feet. Then, as if it werethe most natural thing to do, I lowered myself into his lap and hugged himclose. "To those kids you are the world."
"That's why I do it everyyear. Though not in the grand scale that everyone thinks. I try to help atleast a few orphanages and hospitals each year."
"See, you are a saint. Everyyear you create the biggest rush of hope and joy to the children across theworld. Though you can't help them all, the small sacrifices you have made overthe centuries have helped to shape our world and helps friends and familieslearn the true meaning of giving. Without you there would be no hope of aperfect Christmas. If that isn't theact of a saint, I don't know what is."
With a grunt in my ear, Nic'sarms tightened around me as he buried his head in the hair between my shoulderblade and ear.
Pulling away slightly, Iraised my hands and held of each side of his head. My fingers ran though thesilken strands of his hair using that leverage I brought his head up until oureyes met. Leaning down I kissed his full lips with a slight brush of mine.
You are the best mateanyone could ask for. Speaking whileour mouths were still fused, Nic sipped from my lips slowly.

Barro's hand dipped betweenSaeran's legs and stroked his cock. He bucked forward expecting more of the man'stouch. It only lasted a minute before he cried out when the other man withdrewhis fingers. Sneak Peek: Hell's Gate: Draig-
[image error]
Here is a sneak peek of Hell's Gate: Draig that comes out next Wednesday with Purple Sword Publications. Hope you all enjoy.
Blurb:
Lila has been tending bar for five years at Hell's Gate. Sheis content with her life. However, when Draig walks into the club her world isthrown asunder. There is something about the exotic man that haunts her. Shewatches him night after night tie up women and can't help but feel jealous.Draig tries to ignore her, but he can't get her out of his mind. The only thinghe knows to do is push her away.
Until the one night she finally confronts him and gives him a piece of hermind. Draig tries to keep her out, but he realizes Lila is something special. If he keeps her out, then his one chance of freedom will fly away.
Excerpt:Lila let her eyesrove over Draig's gorgeous body. Black leather pants encased well muscledcalves, strong thighs, and a perfectly shaped butt. A yearning to touch his assburned through her, but she resisted when the pain pounded on her templesagain. Or maybe it was her good sense hammering away to warn her that onenight stands were not a good thing. She'd had enough ofwaking up in someone else's bed only to have them dismiss her in the morning. Besides,it was a bad idea to get involved with any of her coworkers. She had found thatout first hand when she had first worked there, dating a bartender who hadtended bar with her, but he turned out to be an ass. He slept with her thentold the staff what a horrible lay she was. She swore she'd never make thatmistake again. Leah had fired him that next night when his comments reached herears.Draig's back musclesrippled when he stood and dragged a hand across his forehead to wipe the beadsof sweat from his brow. Etched over his spine was a full blown dragon, wingsoutstretched. When he moved it, appeared the wings were flapping. It was inkedin blue and silver hue. The work was so detailed she could make out the minutescales along its feet right before they turned into dangerous claws. Whoeverhad done the skin masterpiece was truly an artist. She wondered where else hemight have some tattoos.Draig turned. Hercheeks burned from being caught staring. She quickly averted her eyes andpressed the cloth to her head. The coldness eased some of the pain. But shefigured she would have one hell of a lump in the morning. Getting whacked onthe head twice in a one night wasn't typical. Lila barely ever dropped a bottleof beer. Tonight two of them had slipped from her grasp. Leah wouldn't dock herfor the inventory, but she wouldn't be happy if she knew."All put up. Isthere anything else you need stocked?" he asked her."No. Thanks forthe help. Just gotta go home." She slid off the stool. Once her feet hitthe floor, she stumbled again. The world spun a little. She put her hands outto catch herself, but instead found herself against his chest. His arms wrappedaround her and clasped her back. Her breasts barely touched his chest. Her headcame just under his chin. She inhaled and smelled his pure masculine scentmixed with a fruity aroma that must have been the soap he used. Lila laid ahand on his flesh to steady herself. Her entire being flushed with heat fromthe close contact. An overwhelming urge to fan herself hit her, but she didn'twant to tear her hand away from his solid form. It seemed she was glued to thisperfect stranger. Whatever magnetism drew her to him it was the strongest shehad ever felt with a man.Draig peered intoher eyes. Flames ignited in his green ones. A gasp formed on her lips, watchinghis eyes glow. Before Lila could utter a sound, he claimed her mouth, his fulllips covered hers. Her head said she should shove him away. They shouldn't bekissing because it would only bring trouble. But before she could grasp ontothat, the world fell away. She was floating and nothing could bring her feet tosolid ground again. Her body temperature spiked. Just the pleasure his lipsbrought to her was unlike anything she had experienced before. He cupped herface lightly, barely even holding her. Lila craved for him do more, to lift heronto the bar, hike her skirt up, and plunge his cock inside of her. The bliss heelicited speared directly between her thighs. She squeezed her legs togetherjust to remind herself that she was still alive and hadn't ascended to heaven. Draigslowly sucked on her bottom lip before releasing it. He then brushed his tongueacross her lips. Lila let out a small moan. He made no move to bring her closer. The heat of his body blasted against her. She drew in a few breaths to anchorherself back in her body. Frozen to her spot, the shock of the kiss hadn't wornoff yet. Lila leaned up on tiptoe to return the kiss with the hunger growinginside of her. Before she could, he pulled away.
