Guest Blog Post: Justine Elyot- Preacher Man
A big thank you to Crymsyn for hosting me today – it's great to be here.
I've always been interested in a man in black. Whether it's a billowing cloak or evening dress, there's something about the man who dresses like a sober shadow, especially if that man is a buttoned-up preacher man.

Here's a little bit more about our Adam:
What exactly it was that drew him out of the vicarage study and into the unseasonably warm April air was never clear to Adam Flint. One minute he was unpacking a crate of theological texts, lining them up in neat subsections along the dark wood shelving. The next, he was sweating and giddy, inhabited by the most powerful urge to get outside and be part of the village springtime."What's this? Some kind of spring fever?" He spoke to himself, a habit he had got into over the years of rehearsing rhetorical questions for his sermons. Nobody else ever gave him properly satisfactory answers besides. "Well, a bit of fresh air, what's the harm?"But if somebody had been there to answer that question, before he grabbed the old-fashioned hat and walking cane he liked to affect, despite his being only thirty one, perhaps he would have stayed indoors. What was the harm? He would know soon enough.Saxonhurst certainly didn't look like the outpost of godlessness he'd been led to expect. The circle of honey coloured cottages nestled around the church had all the correct bucolic fixtures and fittings – flowery trellises up the walls, diamond-paned windows, thatched roofs. He breathed in the aroma of hyacinths, the sweetness steadying him somewhat, bringing him back to his senses. There was nothing odd or sinister about this place. It was simply a village that had fallen prey to the common twenty-first century syndrome of entitled materialism and the consequent atrophy of faith. They were good people who looked after their homes. They were capable of redemption. From the corner of his eye, he caught the twitch of a lace curtain. A black cat ran across his path by the National Trust pub. The strong feeling that he should be walking out towards the arable farms on the northern outskirts of the village overwhelmed him, turning his footsteps away from the recreation ground and the infants' school, along a narrower lane. The cottages soon gave way to acres of polytunnels housing tomato plants and courgettes. On his left loomed the ruins of Palmer's Barn, where local legend had it that a man had killed a girl then hanged himself. He almost fell over the wishing well, hidden by weeds, as his curious eye outlined instead the brutal skeleton of the mythic building. It looked evil and brooding. Perhaps he should perform a consecration there, bring the grace of the redeemer to that burnt out wreck. Or perhaps he should just write to the council and suggest its demolition. What was the good of keeping it there, a reminder of wickedness past? It couldn't be good for village spirits.
Here's the blurb:
On the surface, Saxonhurst is like every other sleepy English village in the Vale of Parham. But what explanations are there for its unfailingly bountiful harvests, its amazingly successful cricket team, its bizarre and bacchanalian May Day rituals?New vicar Adam Flint is bent on finding out why Saxonhurst has the nickname ‘most godless village in England’. With the help and hindrance of village siren Evie and the strange and remote Lady of the Manor, Julia, he uncovers closets full of skeletons. And not just skeletons – flesh and blood bodies rich in temptations as well…Will the secrets of Saxonhurst be Adam’s ruin?

Quick Look into Seduction: Devil's Tavern
Hi All,
Seduction: Devil's Tavern 4 will be out on Sept. 5th with Purple Sword Publications. I wanted to share a quick glimpse between the pages.
Enjoy.
Blurb:
Valerie dreams of a man who ties her up and pleasures her all night long. When she wakes, his soft caresses follow her. All she wants is to sink back into her dreams and become his slave.
Her sister, Niki conjures an evil djinn into their world. James and Valerie must stop the genie before it brings others of its kind into their world.
When her dream master offers a solution to defeat the djinn, Valerie is hard pressed not to take his proposition. If she does, will she be releasing the lesser of two evils?
Excerpt:
The scent of cloves and oranges wafted through the room. She turned her face to the perfume and inhaled deeply. The spicy aroma signaled that he wasn’t far behind. Her anticipation level rose. A soft sigh escaped her lips. The warmth of the room put her in a languid state. The velvet of the comforter beneath her caressed her skin. I know he’s coming soon. Is it so horrible to want him to be here sooner? I crave him every second of the day. The bouquet of the citrus and earth drew closer. The increase in the fragrance made her wet. Her heart picked up a few beats. She drew in a breath, savoring the scent. A cold blast of air slid over her body. Her skin prickled from the introduction of his presence in the room. The ache of her expectation wound along her nerves, and it took all she had not to strain against her fetters and mar her skin. He liked her to be perfect every time he came to see her. Bare and naked. Silent and compliant, waiting for him. Always waiting for him. It was always about pleasing him. That was what she had been told since the beginning. That was what she had agreed to. All for him. All because he made her feel like no one had before.“Hello, lovely one,” he said, purring against her ear.His hot breath blasted against her neck. A coil of yearning unfurled inside of her. This was what she craved. Her time with him was precious. They had so little of it together. Everything he did only brought her more pleasure. His fingertips trailed over her belly, making her squirm. The tips of his sharp nails pressed into her skin ever so slightly, alerting her to the pain they could cause if he chose. Tonight she hoped he would be gentle. Sometimes he made her scream until her throat was raw from the orgasms he brought her. Other times he would be cruel, winding her tighter and tighter, leading her to the precipice of ecstasy and then leaving her wanting. She hated it when he was cruel, but knew there were times she just had to be punished.Valerie knew better than to respond to his haunting voice. The last time she did, he had hit her ass with a studded paddle until she cried for mercy. For a moment, the skin of her buttocks burned from the sensory memory of the paddle. The joy of disciplining her was what had made the experience worth it. The pain faded away from her thoughts when he slid his finger over the satin blindfold that obstructed her view of him. The desire to see him gripped her soul. She’d never been permitted to glimpse his face. It was only his touch, smell, and taste that she was allowed. They had agreed, when he started coming to her, that he would be the one to set the rules. He governed her world while they were together. She had consented to all of his requests and never thought twice about it. When they were together, she became his. The only problem was that she never knew when their rendezvous would be.The bed depressed from his added weight. His body heat warmed her naked flesh. The pad of his thumb glided over her bottom lip. Everything in her ached to suck it into her mouth and taste him, but she remained motionless.“You remembered. Good girl. Maybe this time I won’t have to beat you.”

So, this woman applied pen to paper and jotted her dreams down. They flowed from her pen and across the paper. She wrote for her own amusement. Then, this woman’s husband had an idea. “Why not try to get these published?” he asked. The woman scoffed at this idea and refused to believe in her talent. Then, one day, something happened to change her life. She began to believe. A publisher wanted to publish her story and Gemma K. Murray was born.
Gemma’s first book is an urban fantasy/paranormal romance titled Keeper of the Golden Dragon’s Heart.
The Upper Peninsula of Michigan seems like it is another country. The rawness and beauty of the land draws people from every walk of life. What most people don't realize is there is a little town nestled on the banks of Lake Superior that an entire group of supernatural beings call home. Shifters of every shape and size live there. They raise their families there. Tourists come from near and far to visit the quaint town of Cedar River, Michigan. The tourists never realize they are walking among some of the most unusual beings on earth. Bowie Golden is a dragon shifter who is in charge of Cedar River's safety. Until now, the biggest threat to anyone's safety was Anastasia Plum, a witch/puma-shifter. She has been the town hellraiser since she was a teenager. Now someone has discovered the secret the residents of Cedar River keep for one another. These radicals are determined to eradicate the entire town. It's up to Bowie to keep them all safe.
Ana has always idolized Bowie. She may have stirred up trouble from time to time, but Bowie or one of his brothers would always get her out of the trouble she was in. One day, it happened. The unthinkable, the unimaginable occurred. Anastasia Plum fell for the "golden" boy. What an unlikely duo- the sheriff and the hellraiser!
Just as these two discover their passion for one another, a group of people is determined to keep them apart. It's up to Ana to prove that she is the only Keeper of the Golden Dragon's Heart. You can read the excerpt for Keeper of the Golden Dragon’s Heart on Gemma’s website.

Who loves big, sexy, hairy men and aliens? A glimpse into Hairy & Hung.
I wanted to share a little of my latest, unedited, title called Hairy & Hung. The idea started off as a conversation between some friends and then developed from there. I mean who doesn't wonder if Bigfoot is real and what would be do if he came across an alien. Well I decided to try and answer that question. Enjoy the except.
Phillip stopped at the mouth of the cave and glanced behind him, hoping the alien woman could keep up with him. It seemed the steep incline up to the surface was not bothering her. Maybe her six toes give her some kind of super grip on the rocks. The image of her naked body danced through his mind. He shook his head, trying to push it aside. It had been a long time since he had been with a woman. It did not really matter because he had, and would always be faithful to the woman he loved. As Phillip thought about his beloved, he tried to call up her image within his thoughts. All he could see clearly was her wonderful smile and the long, dark hair that hung in a braid down her back. He clenched his fists together and tried to recall her more clearly, but the details of her face had paled. Kaylana had slowly been fading from his memory for years even though he had tried to hold onto her. The love burned in his heart, but it did not account for the loneliness he had suffered all these years. It was nice to have some company in the cave even though she was a woman from another planet. Alika. The name flowed through his head like the river winding under the mountains. It was the only word he had understood from what she had said. The rest of it was nonsense. Her words had sounded more like a babbling brook with a few cricket chirps and bird whistles thrown in for good measure. There had been a grunt once and a while too, but he figured that was her frustration coming through. Even his name she was not able to pronounce so well. It seemed she could not put the sounds together the right way. She had communicated she needed to go back to her ship. Phillip figured she needed something there. Hopefully, there was a gadget there that could aid in their communications because pointing and drawing things on the dirt floor was not the best way to get his point across. Alika met him at the cave entrance and smiled at him. He returned the gesture and knew it was more of a grimace, his lips peeling back from his sharpened teeth. Phillip had frightened many a person with that same look. But they mistook him for some feral animal about to eat them and not for the man under all the hair. His guest said something, but he shook his head and motioned her forward. Phillip took in a whiff of the cool night air. It helped to revive him and keep him focused. He glanced up at the horizon. The stars were in full blaze, beaming their light down to the earth. He wondered if any of them were the one she had fallen from. His visitor rubbed up against his shoulder and tried to move ahead of him, but he gently grabbed her arm. She spun around and said something then pointed down the hill. He nodded and put up his hand hoping she would understand to wait a minute. Phillip touched her chest and then pointed at the sky. Her mouth turned down in a frown causing little lines to be etched into the corners of her mouth and even deeper ones into her forehead. And yet it made her all the more appealing. I have to stop letting my mind wander there. I can’t be with another woman and she will eventually return to her home planet. That is if the authorities don’t get her. I’m not going to let that happen anyway. Their fate would be the same if they were ever caught. Alika stepped away from him and gazed at the sky for a long time. She raised her arm and pointed, following a line of stars and stopped by the Andromeda constellation and gestured she meant beyond that. The sadness in her eyes was apparent. She was a very long way from home. Wetness lined her eyes and twisted Phillip’s heart even more. Sometimes he forgot he was a man underneath all the hair, big feet, and the animal instincts in him took over. Being with her, Phillip remembered he was also a man who had feelings. He swiped his finger over her cheek, bringing the tear with it. Alika stared into his eyes and he was captured by her orange gaze. It seemed like her eyes were on fire. It was a striking feature against her light green skin.Alika pulled away and motioned back toward the hill. He nodded. Moving among the brush and the dense foliage made it easier for him to blend in so that no one would see him. Phillip moved at his normal gate and did not hear her behind him. He reached the bottom of the hill, he glanced back to see if Alika was keeping up with him. Over the years he had perfected nearly gliding over the landscape and barely leaving an imprint of his large feet. They traveled toward the crash site and when they finally got closer he heard the hum of engines and generators. Bright lights lit up the area where the ship had skidded and broken apart. The scent of churned earth and ozone clung to the area, but the aroma of gasoline and sweat overpowered his senses and made his eyes water. This was one reason he hated to get so close to mankind. They took over the environment and did not care about it. They invaded the land and perverted it, eating up the pristine landscapes that provided sanctuary for him and the animals that inhabited the Earth. He growled his dislike of the machinery. The ground rumbled beneath his feet from the heavy equipment being used. Once upon a time, the native peoples had probably seen him exactly the same way that he saw the men who were working on the crash site. She slipped past him, heading off toward the site. Great! He raced after her and ensnared her waist before she slipped into view. A disgruntled cry escaped her lips and she struggled to get out of his grip. Wow, she sure is strong! Phillip wrapped his other hand around her waist and hauled her back into the shadows so they would not be discovered. She beat her fists against his chest and tried to escape his grasp. He hated that he might hurt her, but she had to calm down.“Stop,” he commanded, but it came out as a grunt.

Purr- First Look

Blurb:
Just when Margaret thought it was safe to get back into the dating game, she meets Cole. Sexy as hell with a magnetism she can’t fight, Margaret gives in to temptation and spends the night with him. It’s when she wakes up that her whole world is turned upside down.
When Kevin discovers his sister, Gail, has been harmed, he rushes to her aid and finds her friend, Margaret, has also suffered the same fate as his sister. His inner tiger yearns to claim Margaret as his own, but also to defend his sister from the man who marked her for a tiger. Cole is their combined enemy and soon the claws will come out and the fur will fly.
Excerpt:
I glanced down at my open shirt and caught his gaze. A devilish smile slid across my lips as I brought my finger to my mouth, licked it, and trailed it down my chest around my nipple. I brushed the fabric away a little more and watched his face try to stay impassive.“I know you want it,” I whispered. “I can smell your lust.” I crossed the distance between us and began unbuttoning his shirt, pulling it out of his jeans. He stayed stock still, but the bulge in his jeans belied his true feelings. I lifted my nose and ran it along the side of his neck, taking in his scent. It was true; I could smell his lust, and the aroma was intoxicating. My tongue dragged along the same line of his throat, and in a final yank I pulled his shirt the rest of the way out. A rip of fabric accompanied the tug. I looked down and saw a piece of his shirt in my hands. I noticed that my nails were longer and sharper. My hand began to shake as I stared at them. I shouldn’t have been able to tear his shirt with my bare hands. It wasn’t like I was superwoman or anything. Something was wrong with me. How could I smell this guy’s lust? I was not a bitch in heat.I glanced up at him. My body said I wanted him. My pussy was wet, and the need deep inside of me was an ache I had never felt before, like an itch I couldn’t get, and it was getting more uncomfortable the longer I denied it.“Are you going to stop now?” he asked as he grabbed my wrist again and held it lightly, unlike before. Pressing himself against me, he mirrored my action about licking and smelling my neck. I was falling under my body’s desire for this man.“What’s happening to me?” He didn’t bother to answer my question, but unbuttoned my jeans and pushed them to my ankles with one hand and then undid his own. He turned me around roughly and then bent me over the back of his couch. Part of me wanted to purr and have him so deep inside me I wouldn’t know when he would end, but another part was wondering what the fuck was going on with me. Was I high? I didn’t know this guy from Adam. I felt him grip my ass with both hands as he squeezed it. The pain brought me back to myself.“Do you want this?” I heard him ask breathlessly.“What?”“Do you want me? I won’t take you against your will, Margaret.”

Excerpt:
Bruno walked, picked her up, and lifted her off the ground spinning her in a circle. She let out a small gleeful noise until he put her down. Serena wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him lightly. He licked her lips. “I think I like your sausage better.” He pressed his lips against hers and slid his fingers over her back feeling every bump in her spine until he came to the round mounds of her ass. She shivered from the sudden contact feeling the bulge of his erection pressing into her stomach. He clutched her ass and then lifted her. The sudden embrace drew a squeal from her lips. She wrapped her legs around his waist to keep from falling. He kissed her harder with a hunger she’d never felt in him before. “What… are… you … doing?” she asked in-between his kisses. Bruno bit her lip lightly. “Taking you into the bedroom to make love to you. Unless you object.” He nuzzled her neck while backing up toward the door. He fumbled for the doorknob. He licked her throat and nipped at her exposed shoulder. Serena threw her head back, enjoying the small bits of pain from his teeth. She yearned for him to mark her completely, but she wasn’t going to push him. The more he kissed her, the more her desire stirred. “No. What about—” He plunged his tongue into her ear and kissed along her jaw line. “Don’t worry about Neb. He’s gone for a while. I think he had an idea we might be engaged.” “Are you sure about that?” Bruno licked the hollow of her throat. He finally got the door open and got them into the room. Serena closed the door behind her with a small nudge from her elbow. Bruno dropped her on the bed. The mattress creaked and the bed groaned from the added weight. Before she could get herself situated, he pulled her shirt from her jeans. She was about to fight him, but decided against it. She wasn’t sure what would happen if she broke the moment. He ran his hands over her breasts cupping them for a moment. At the slight contact, her nipples began to harden. His eyes brightened. She saw the wolf in his nature and loved that he had embraced it. He slid his nails through her bra straps and broke them easily. He threw the remnants of the fabric to the floor. “I hope you’re going to buy me a new one of those. I didn’t bring anymore with me.” He smiled showing her his wicked teeth. “I buy you whatever you want as long as I get to have these.” Serena wiggled on the bed trying to get closer to him. She took his cock and held the firm shaft in her hands. She ran her fingers along the bulging vein. A small howl left his lips.

Ten things not to do when making chocolate penises.
Yesterday I had two awesome authors- Alexandra Christian & Siobhan Kincaide-stop over and assist me in constructing chocolate penises for giveaways at FandomFest this coming weekend. Only for the adults mind you. But while forming these delectable male genitalia, I have learned a few things you should not do and wanted to share.
1. Don't think just because the chocolate penis is hard that it can be substituted for the real thing. (Hey I'm sure people have tried, but ...I wouldn't recommend it.)
2. Don't leave the hot chocolate penises out on the counter or your dog might decide to eat them.
3. Don't forget to add the cream filling before you add the second layer of chocolate or you end up with a gooey mess.
4. When done, don't let any children get a hold of the dicks on a stick because....well that just is so wrong.
5. Don't tell your husband you prefer the chocolate cock over his.
6. When sucking on the male genitalia in public, don't start making pleasure noises unless you truly want people to stare at you and think you are insane. But hey if it knocks yours socks off, go right ahead.
7. Don't give these chocolates to your grandmother for her birthday unless she's cool like that.
8. Don't think you won't get comments on facebook about your activity if you are posting pictures. Because people really have twisted minds.
9. Don't assume just because you like chocolate penises that everyone else does. Because some might want chocolate boobs. I don't have those molds so anyone that is expecting them to go with the dicks you're SOL.
10. Last, but not least, if you don't like what I have to say you are not invited to my house to make chocolate man parts with me.
I hope you enjoyed this little not to do list. Please come again.

Guest Post: Location, Location, Location by KD Grace

I had very powerful and gorgeous geological inspiration for my novel, Body Temperature and Rising. It, along with the whole Lakeland Heatwave Trilogy, is set in the English Lake District. It’s no secret that I’m totally in love with the place. Most of the locations in the trilogy are real places that I’ve walked and explored while there. However those real experiences in the landscape also inspired the ‘Magicscapes’ in the story.
Before I go any further, I’d like to clarify for my American readers just what a fell is, since there seems to be a bit of a language barrier, and some people have thought that the fells are woodlands. A fell is an upland stretch of open countryside, a moor or a barren or stony hill. And the fells in the Lake District are formidable. They include Scafell Pike the highest mountain in England! The word comes from Middle English and Old Norse and means mountain or hill. There! Language barrier crossed!
There are lots of places that inspired BTR I could talk about, all fascinating, all playing roles in the novel, all making my imagination race with ideas for more Lakeland stories. However, since I’m the happy guest on the fabulous Ravynhart site today, I would like to talk about one of the places that inspired some of the creepiest, most sinister, most magical scenes in the book, and even a scene of sex magic al fresco gone wrong. The Place is called Raven Crag. It’s on Thirlmere Reservoir in the Central Fells, not far the town of Keswick.

A little way from the top there’s a place where the trees give way to high grass and bog, which rises to a hill with earthworks where there used to be an Iron Age fort, though nothing is left now but the view of the beck running below. The bog, the dark thick forest, the mist that seemed always to be just waiting to descend made the whole walk seem other-worldly and silent. Knowing that I was writing Body Temperature and Rising at the time and that the hero in the novel, Tim Meriwether, also volunteers for Keswick Mountain Rescue, Brian was keen on telling some of the stories of rescues that he’d taken part in on Raven Crag. He pointed out one of the darker, danker parts of the wood where walkers had stumbled onto the body of a man who had disappeared several years before - a possible suicide. The team had been sent in to retrieve the corpse. The thing about Raven Crag is that it doesn’t feel like a crag at all. It’s too claustrophobic, too tight-fitting. It’s an easy ascent, not steep, and there’s no scrambling. However there’s only one way up, unless you’re a climber. At the top of the fell, the trees open up onto a precipitous cliff. Though it’s frequented by rock climbers, it’s also a suicide spot. Voila! I had the perfect location for sinister paranormal activity.

Later, as I researched Raven Crag, one of my best sources of information was Alfred Wainwright’s Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells. The guide to the Central Fells was written in 1958 by the man who knew the fells probably better than anyone else alive. His pictorial guides are not only still the definitive guides to the fells but are also exquisite works of art. Wainwright had this to say about Raven Crag. ‘The silence and gloom of the forest are too oppressive to be enjoyed. In the mist, the final stages of the ascent (no path) are dangerous.’
If Raven Crag creeped out Britain’s best-loved fell walker, then I figured there really was something spooky about the place, and it wasn’t just me.
The moral of the story is location, location, location. The Lake District offered me inspiration for everything from hot scenes of sex al fresco, to cave sex, to abandoned slate mines to creepy magical places for demon encounters, to glorious spring days with hawthorn in bloom and black birds in full song. It was the inspiration of such a rich and varied place that made the Lakeland Heatwave trilogy come alive in my imagination and made the magic seem so believable that I almost expected to read in one of Wainwright’s guide books about a chance encounter on Maiden Moor with a mysterious man in a vintage black suit.
Thanks again for having me on Ravynhart and for reminding me of the places that inspire me.*****American transplant to the Lake District, MARIE WARREN, didn’t know she could unleash demons and enflesh ghosts until a voyeuristic encounter on the fells ends in sex with the charming ghost, ANDERSON, and night visits from a demon. To help her cope with her embarrassing and dangerous new abilities, Anderson brings her to the ELEMENTALS, a coven of witches who practice rare sex magic that temporarily allows needy ghosts access to the pleasures of the flesh.

*****K D Grace was born with a writing obsession. It got worse once she actually learned HOW to write. There's no treatment for it. It's progressive and chronic and quite often interferes with normal, everyday functioning. She might actually be concerned if it wasn't so damned much fun most of the time.
K D's critically acclaimed erotic romance novels, The Initiation of Ms Holly, The Pet Shop and Lakeland Heatwave Book 1: Body Temperature and Rising are published by Xcite Books and are available from all good paperback and eBook retailers.
Her erotica has been published with Xcite Books, Mammoth, Cleis Press, Harper Collins Mischief Books, Black Lace, Erotic Review, Ravenous Romance, Sweetmeats Press and Scarlet Magazine.

Death’s Dance:
I threw down the pillow and climbed the stairs. “Look, whoever you are throwing my stuff around isn’t going to get me to pay attention to you.” When I peered into the office, I didn’t sense or see anyone. In fact everything was in its rightful place. My tarot cards were neatly stacked on the table. The crystals along the windowsill were still there. The bookshelves I had my books on and other things were still filled with dust. My laptop was still closed. But I noticed that my desk top was on and I had shut it off before I had gone to bed the night before. The screen blinked on when I stepped into the room. The monitor began to cloud over like my screensaver was made of fog. The way the mirror had misted over earlier. Another bolt of fear went through me. I breathed out and noticed my breath came out in a cloud of vapor. I ran my fingers over my arms from the small bumps that were raised along my skin. Something was definitely with me now. The sun was shining brightly on me and yet I couldn’t feel its warmth. All I could feel was the plummeting temperate. Something was trying to get my attention and whether it was the being from my dreams or the same one that had visited me in the mirror or the same one that was haunting Jackson it wasn’t going to leave me alone until I acknowledged it. “W-what do you want?” I hated to hear the fear in my voice, but I had never come across this kind of entity before. I had my share of darker ones and even a demon here and there. Those encounters had shaken me. The temperature in the room dropped steadily. The windows began to frost over. It seemed the sun light had dimmed and wasn’t ever getting through. “Look, if you’re trying to scare me or make me run away then I’m not going to. If you’re the same entity that’s been in my dreams and was in my mirror this morning, then I demand that you tell me what you want. If not, get the hell out of my house and leave me alone.” The rolling fog on the monitor stopped and the screen lightened enough so I could see words forming on them as if someone had breathed on the monitor and was writing with their finger. I waited to hear the squeaking of skin on glass from the writing, but there was only silence in the room. It took a moment, but the letters formed into words. Death. “Are you death?” There was a pause. The atmosphere weighed down in the room. Watcher. “Okay. You’re a watcher. Do you watch me in my dreams? Is that you?” Yes. “Were you in my mirror this morning?” No. A shiver ran down my back. It could be lying to me. Whatever this entity was. It could be tricking me. Not all ghosts told the truth and I wasn’t about to put my trust in something that was coming through to me over my computer screen. Then again, I wasn’t going to open myself to it and see if it came through and wanted to use me as a channel either. "So what kind if a watcher are you?" I had one people saying they had phantoms they noticed were hanging around, I had spoken to one woman who had called me concerned about the entity that she had noticed hanging around. But when I had gone to her house and asked the phantasm what it wanted, it said that it was just watching out for her. It observed her and didn't get involved with anything. Was this the same kind of being who was watching me? The fog cleared even more, but still I could see the figure whose writing on the other side of the computer screen. It seemed that there was a pause. The temperature in the room was a little lighter. Maybe he wasn't going to answer my question. "Why are you in my dreams?" Protect. Guardian. A strong compulsion to go over to the computer gripped me. The intrigue of what was being there and what did the entity mean that it was my guardian. How was it protecting me? What did it really want with me? There had to be an answer for that. I reached out tentatively and touched the computer screen. It was cold underneath my fingers, but when I pulled away from it, my fingers didn't stick to the screen. They weren’t being held there by some unseen force, but when I was I felt the pressure of a finger pressing on the screen and this time heard the distinct screech of a finger wiping over the screen. My heart stilled a moment as I put my finger over the words being formed. An electric jolt ran up my arm, but I was still free to pull my hand away. "Why are you protecting me?" I sat down in the desk chair before the computer. It slid a little ways away from the desk. The mist cleared even more on the monitor and in the distance I could see the figure in the dark cloak that I had dreamed about. He was staring at me, but he made no move to come any closer. A small breeze wound though the room and jingling the wind chimes on my bookcase. I had them there because every time I entered and left the room it was said that fairies would be drawn to the sound of the chimes. That and the sound wads pleasing to me. It helped me remember my grandmother because she had loved the tinkling sound so much. I glanced behind me and saw my hematite sphere rock from its base and then fall on the floor, land with a loud thud, and then roll over to my foot. I reached down and picked it up hoping that it wasn't damaged because it had fallen from the second shelf of my bookcase. The sphere was heavy and cool to the touch. There was no blemish to it. My reflection was distorted in its round exterior. "What does this have to do with anything?" See. Protection.
