30 Day Decluttering Challenge

It’s finally here! Everyday in October (except Halloween, because well, it’s Halloween!) we will be decluttering one different area in our homes. These quick and easy decluttering challenges will take under 15 minutes to complete and by the end of the month, your home will be clutter free and looking fab!

Cluttered to Clean – Craft room declutter and organization ideas on a budget

I am SO excited to share with you this craft room before and after makeover. We decluttered and organized this really messy space on a very small budget of under $100. All of the bins to organize this space were purchased from the dollar store.

Craft Room Makeover Under $100 & FREE PRINTABLES

Last week I was able to spend time with my BFF Jess as we completely decluttered and reorganized her craft room. I gotta say, I had a blast! I’m a total organizing junkie, so it was really fun to be able to tackle a really messy space, and boy, was it messy!

I’m confident that this space is going to now stay organized because of my favourite organizing trick, labels. Labels are truly MAGIC and will help you find your things faster AND ensure that you and your entire family will actually put things away in the right spot when you are done using it. What’s Your Preferred Cleaning Routine?

Let’s talk about house cleaning routines or methods, and which one will work best for you! Tidying your home is NOT the same as cleaning it. Tidying basically consists of picking up after yourself (and sometimes your loved ones if they happen to need some training in this department). You can’t count washing dishes, picking up your dirty clothes or making your bed as “housework”, unfortunately that is just part of “adulting”. “Cleaning the house” consists of those chores that remove the dirt and grime from our homes. Having a cleaning routine checklist can save you so much time and effort when it comes to cleaning your home.

Household cleaning routines are not one size fits all. Just because a cleaning schedule works for one family, doesn’t mean it will work for you. Personally, I have tried ALL four of the following cleaning methods in the past, but my preferred routine is a DAILY SPEED CLEANING method with a daily 15 minute TASK MASTER job in the afternoon.

No matter what routine you decide on (whether it is one of these four or a combination of them all) it’s just important to actually HAVE a routine. Take a look at the following cleaning styles and choose one OR create your own cleaning routine today!
