Harper Lee
Just read that Harper Lee will be releasing a new book! Wow! Interestingly enough, it was written prior to "To Kill A Mockingbird." The new book is actually a sequel to TKAM and continues Scout's story, twenty years later. Apparently, when Lee submitted this book to her editor, the editor was more interested in the flashbacks to Scout's childhood. On her editor's recommendation, Lee wrote TKAM and the rest is history. Can't wait to read this new one.

Beast
Beast, is my second novel. It could probably best be described as an outsider's view of humanity. And that view is not flattering.
It we all stopped and collectively looked at what we do during the course of a normal day, and applied logic to it, I think we'd find we're a strange species, at best.
Beast also deals with what I consider one of the most disturbing aspects of humanity. The way we treat our own children.
It's a dark novel. It's up to the reader to decide what to take away. I've often been surprised by what someone reads into what I've written. Taking away something I hadn't seen before, but also understanding how they might have interpreted it that way.
