Spring is here!
Maple-sugaring, melting snow and muddy roads are hallmarks of early spring on our Vermont hilltop, but flowers aren’t far off. I can’t wait to get back in my garden and visit other gardens. 
Joe hails from middle Tennessee, one of the prettiest places I’ve visited in spring. We’ve taken many lovely walks at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. I have fond memories of meeting writer friends J.T. Ellison and Sherryl Woods there.

Audio lovers, I have great news. “Rock Point” will be in audio on April 19. You can pre-order your copy now. It’s the prequel novella that introduces Irish priest Finian Bracken, a beloved character who appears in every Sharpe and Donovan novel. (He plays a key role in the next story in the series, too. More on that soon.)
I’m delighted that Carol Monda is the narrator. She’s been the voice behind almost all my suspense novels, a remarkably talented artist and a favorite with audio listeners.

A new look for a favorite series
I have wonderful memories of each book in my popular Cold Ridge series (my informal title). Writing, researching everything from U.S. Marshals to hiking in the White Mountains and going on the road, meeting hundreds readers and doing countless media interviews.

The Rapids is out today with a fresh new digital look. I love it. It’s the third book in my bestselling Cold Ridge/US Marshals series but it can be read as a standalone.

Happy 2022!
Just a quick post to wish you a happy new year!
Our 2022 is off to a nice start with family time and now quiet to write and enjoy the Vermont winter. More snow on the way later this week. We get to try out our new snowshoes.
I thought of this new year when I happened on the photo above that we took in Ireland in November, 2019. It reminds me to keep an eye on the beauty that’s right in front of me as well as afar. And it’s just pretty.

Back home in Vermont from Ireland
We’re home after almost a month in Ireland. We’re back to weeds in the gardens, fuzzy stuff in the fridge and gorgeous New England fall weather and foliage. We stacked a cord of wood delivered on Saturday and have a visit in the works with my mother. And I had a great chat with my fabulous agent on Monday.
Hard to believe last week we were hiking the Irish hills!

A gift from Ireland
Hello from Ireland! Joe and I just arrived at a small cottage on the southwest coast, within walking distance of some great restaurants and shops. It’s a great place to write! Of course we’re doing lots of walks and hikes, too.
Yesterday I found a great little gift to add to our giveaway celebrating the tenth anniversary of the launch of my Sharpe and Donovan series.
