As promised, a DRAFT of the first chapter is posted here. Now, it isn’t always advisable for the writers to share their work so early in the process, but as a self-published author I get to set my own rules a little bit. That being said, it is very early in the process, and the manuscript, including this one chapter, will likely undergo multiple revisions before the final product is ready for the mass market. Just something to keep in mind.

Hi there. I have an outline! I have a title!





My creative muse, whatever it is, has taken me to another world, another planet. It’s a simple planet, primitive. Dawn-of-mankind kind of primitive, and the heroine, Addie, is stuck there. And believe me, it ain’t easy for a modern young woman accustomed to technology and running water to adjust. July is gone, and what have we accomplished this month?





Well, let’s see. Two major accomplishments in the world of Lydia Hope are the publication of Family Affair on July 1st, and this here website on the 31st. So, yay, me.





To be honest, the website gave me as much, if not more, heartburn than producing a full length novel. Writing concisely and to a point is hard!
