Coming soon, a new prequel novella to The Benevolent Deception

“The rope was tied to the bindings around Simon’s wrists. He resisted, but the earlier electric shocks had weakened him, and the two thugs restraining him had muscles of steel.

Alfaqri singled the dingy. They started the engine and sped off across the ocean.

Simon watched in horror as the rope coiled away, went taunt, and then he was ripped from the deck of the Spinecutter and pulled into the ocean.

He hit the water fast and went under, his hands out in front, his legs dragging behind. He tur...

10 Highly Watchable Book Trailers

We all know about movie trailers, a great marketing tool to convey in a minute or less, the essence of a movie with the hooks to (hopefully) draw audiences to watch the full feature.

After learning in advance that Han Solo died on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and that Kylo Ren was Hans’ son, I worked hard not to discover anything about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story until I saw it. Thankfully I did and it made the film the better for it. The verdict? I really liked it. I’m trying to work out if it is my favourite Star Wars film yet.

[image error]Of all the Star Wars movies, it is the darkest, most adult and the most with a feel of an espionage thriller. Multiple story lines bring severa...
