During that time, there have been children who have walked through my classroom marked with the scars and carrying the baggage of a horrendous home life. Their stories have stayed with me, replaying in my head when I wake up at 3:00 in the morning. I only get to be with them for a small part of their journey, and I often lose touch with them after they move on to middle school. I think of them often and pray that they were able to rise above their circumstances and make their own happily ever after. Perfect for the Part was written with these children in mind. What happens when they grow up? How do they reconcile their past? I needed reassurance of a positive outcome.(less)

Ann Chase I have two projects on the fire right now. I am in the process of doing a final revision on a book I hope to publish in December, Perfect for the Part…moreI have two projects on the fire right now. I am in the process of doing a final revision on a book I hope to publish in December, Perfect for the Part. This is actually the first novel I wrote. With some great feedback from editors, it has gone through several major revisions. I am also in the middle of writing my third novel, The Way to a Man's Heart. It is set in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.(less)
