WOMAN OF GOD, IF YOU FEEL UNLOVED YOU HAVE MUCH TO LEARN!

 

                                                                    
AN UNLOVED WOMAN

“….Under three things the earth quakes, And under four it cannot bear up….under an unloved woman when she gets a husband…” (Proverbs 30:23 NASB).

 There are many interpretations of this scripture, one in which the woman is blamed for BEING unlovable.  “…an odious woman when she is married…” (Proverbs 30:23 KJV). “…a contemptible woman when she is married…” (Proverbs 30:23 NIV). “…a bitter woman who finally gets a husband…” (Proverbs 30:23 NLT).

However, I am taking it from the viewpoint of a married woman who is in a marriage where she is NOT appropriately LOVED according to God’s standards. “.. For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh…” (Genesis 2:24 NASB). “… Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her…” (Ephesians 5:25 NASB). “…So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself…” (Ephesians 5:28 NASB).“…Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself…” (Ephesians 5:33 NASB). “…Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them…” (Colossians 3:19 NASB).

God wants to HEAL his MARRIED daughters. “…an unloved woman when she gets a husband…” (Proverbs 30:23 NASB). “…Isaac … took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and he loved her…” (Genesis 24:67 NASB). “… And Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent, and she became his wife. He loved her deeply…” (Genesis 24:67 NLT).

An unloved woman is that quiet, unassuming victim, who happily meets everybody’s needs, but her OWN. “… She weeps bitterly in the night And her tears are on her cheeks; She has none to comfort her …” (Lamentations 1:2 NASB). “…She has no comforter…” (Lamentations 1:9 NASB). “…Zion stretches out her hands; There is no one to comfort her” (Lamentations 1:17 NASB).

She GIVES until she is bankrupt and then BORROWS for others, but NOT herself. “…The second is like, namely this … love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these…” (Mark 12:28-31 KJV). “…They all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on...” (Luke 21:4 NASB).

The world’s hearts melt at the POVERTY they witness in other countries, but fail to see the POVERTY (poor, deprived of the essential, insufficient of something needed) living in the SAME household: a WIFE “unloved” by her husband. “…Do not be mean-spirited and refuse someone a loan (advantage)... If you refuse to make the loan and the needy person cries out to the Lord, you will be considered guilty of sin.  Give generously to the poor (needy), not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do. There will always be some in the land who are poor (needy). That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor (needy) and with other Israelites (God’s people) in need…” (Deuteronomy 15:9-11 NLT).

There are husbands who no longer show their spouses an ongoing, appropriate, Godly love. “…Let no debtremain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law…” (Romans 13:8 NIV).  “…LOVE one another, even as I have loved you…” (John 13:34-35 KJV).

An unloved woman often feels trapped in a marriage with a man who “DID” not continue to GROW in AGAPE love for her. “…You must grow inthe grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. …” (2 Peter 3:18 NLT).

This book is NOT to blame men, but to HIGHLIGHT all the “UNLOVED” women living and suffering in SILENCE in marriages where they have been abandoned or forgotten by their spouses for DAYS, WEEKS, MONTHS, or maybe even YEARS. “…an unloved woman when she gets a husband…” (Proverbs 30:23 NASB).

The bible says “an unloved woman” causes “…the earth [to…quake], And … it cannot bear up….” (Proverbs 30:23 NASB).

An unloved woman watches while her husband chooses his busy life and many invitations over her. “…You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; …” (1 Peter 3:7 NASB).

She watches him chase after and pour himself into his accomplishments, dreams, addictions, affairs, and adventures while she waits in the wings. “…You husbands …show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered…” (1 Peter 3:7 NASB).

When he is home she watches him sit in front of the television or computer, or go golfing with his friends, or work on some important project while she continues to take care of the household duties, him, and other family concerns.  “…Walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma…” (Ephesians 5:2 NASB).

She takes care of the routine and often monotonous wifely duties, prayerfully tries to do things to please him, and takes care of other family concerns without one single acknowledgement of appreciation from her spouse for days, weeks, months, or years.“…Leah conceived and bore a son and named him Reuben, for she said, “Because the Lord has seen my affliction; surely now my husbandwill love me” (Genesis 29:32 NASB). “…Then she became pregnant a third time and gave birth to another son. He was named Levi, for she said, “Surely this timemy husband will feel affection for me, since I have given him three sons!” (Genesis 29:34 NLT).

When and if she expresses her many emotional concerns, insecurities, feelings of unworthiness, or some other personal struggle, her spouse offers her no affirmation or comfort. She is left alone to get through it by herself. “…You husbands …live with your wives in an understanding way…” (1 Peter 3:7 NASB).

An unloved woman desires and longs for kind, supportive words from her spouse and finds none. “…Far from me is a comforter, One who restores my soul…” (Lamentations 1:16 NASB). “….To the woman He (God) said, "… your desire will be for your husband..." (Genesis 3:16 NASB).

She has often watched him compliment and offer kind, supportive words to everyone else, but her. “… if any does not provide  (emotional support too)for his own, and those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel (unbeliever)…” (1 Timothy 5:8 KJV). 

She has watched him put so many things and people before her she no longer feels she has a place of importance and the word “wife” is just a word without meaning. “…Drink water from your own wellshare your love only with your wife. Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone?” (Proverbs 5:15-16 NLT). “…Let your fountain be blessed,And rejoice in the wife of your youth.  Asa loving hind and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; Be exhilarated always with her love…” (Proverbs 5:18-19 NASB).

An unloved woman often feels replaceable and not like the “good” thing God intended for her to be. She may also feel like an afterthought or a mistress to his other interests. “…He who finds a wife finds a goodthing And obtains favor from the Lord…” (Proverbs 18:22 NLT). “…Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife…” (Proverbs 19:14 NLT). “…She is more precious than rubies…” (Proverbs 31:10 NASB).

An unloved woman has been left alone, especially emotionally -too many days and nights - to fend for herself. She doesn’t feel precious at all. “…Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies…” (Proverbs 31:10 NASB).

An unloved woman has felt the “longing” for her husband and the need for his conversation and care, but too often it has been unavailable or remiss. “…Now my husband will treat me with respect, for I have given him six sons…” (Genesis 30:20 NLT).

An unloved woman is loyal and faithful to the vows she made to both God and her husband. “…You have also heard … ‘You must not break your vows; you must carry out the vows you make to the Lord…” (Matthew 5:33 NLT). “… to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin…” (James 4:17 KJV).

 She is willing to sacrifice her many needs for her unrelenting love and commitment to her husband and to her Lord and Savior. “…A wife must not leave her husband…” (1 Corinthians 7:10 NLT).

Her spouse does not have the same kind of commitment “…But [he or she]… swears to [her]… own hurt and does not change…” (Psalms 15:1-4 NASB). “….So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth” (Malachi 2:15 NLT). “…Let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth…” (Malachi 2:15 NASB).

Because of her love and commitment to both God and her spouse, an unloved woman is taken for granted. “…Live happily with the woman you lovethrough all the  …days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil…” (Ecclesiastes 9:9 NLT).

She is too often neglected. We sit next to her in church every week and don’t recognize her silent struggle or her POVERTY of AGAPE love in her marriage. “…an unloved woman” (Proverbs 30:23 NASB).

The unloved woman is a beautiful, but unkempt, forsaken garden of God’s glory. “…Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest…” (Matthew 11:28 NASB). “I will restore and I will heal thee of the wounds, saith the Lord…” (Jeremiah 30:17 KJV).  

She has often sacrificed herself for her spouse, but he has sacrificed very little or NOTHING for her. “…For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites.” (Romans 16:18 NIV).“… if any does not provide  (emotional support too)for his own… [HE or SHE]…is worse than an infidel (unbeliever)…” (1 Timothy 5:8 KJV). 

This neglect is a form of abuse and is unacceptable to God. “…You cry out, “Why doesn’t the Lord accept my worship?” I’ll tell you why! Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows…” (Malachi 2:14 NLT).“…Love does NO HARM to his neighbor…” (Romans 13:10 NASB). “…Love is patient, love is KINDIt does not dishonor others….” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you…” (John 13:34-35 KJV). “…Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another…” (Romans 13:8 NIV). ).

Being married and being an unloved woman is devastating and painful. It is hard for a woman in these circumstances NOT to focus on a husband’s flaws and distance heart. “…This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me…” (Mark 7:6 KJV).  “for thy heart is not right in the sight of God…” (Acts 8:21 KJV).

Christian women become wives in hope that they will be cherished, respected, honored, and treated according to the biblical standards of relational love. “…They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the Lord…” (Jeremiah 31:32 NASB).“…I will make you my wifeforever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion…” (Hosea 2:19 NASB).

When it doesn’t happen, it is sad for her. An unloved woman feels like her husband has divorced her without actually divorcing her. “…I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife…” (Malachi 2:16 NLT). “…Love does NO HARM to his neighbor…” (Romans 13:10 NASB).

An unloved woman is one who has been emotionally abandoned by her spouse. She is living in marriage in a divorced condition. She is overwhelmed by the cruelty of it all. “…To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “…” (Malachi 2:16 NLT). “….Under three things the earth quakes, And under four it cannot bear up….under an unloved woman when she gets a husband” (Proverbs 30:23 NASB).

SOMEONE WAS "LOOKING" FOR HER...



UNREE DEEMD

  “... Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?” (Job 3:11 KJV).

 “...all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come...” (Job 14:14 KJV).

         UnRee Lynn Deemd stood on the corner with a bucket and cardboard sign begging for food and money. Some people had compassion, some just stared or leered, and some uttered insulting words.

          Some people gave her money and others threw their trash in her bucket. She knew people who begged by choice, but she had no choice at the moment.

          This is where UnRee’s life had bought her to and the only thing that kept her going was that someone told her “...the only person who could ever love you is Jesus...”

She had asked: “...Where is this Jesus?...”

          The lady said: “...He’s around here somewhere...”

          Unree asked, “...Is he looking for me?...”

          “...Probably....” The lady walked away. She was 15 when she’d heard about Jesus and now she was 27 years old; living on the street.

          The only reason she’d hadn’t killed herself was because she wanted to meet this Jesus. UnRee had been on the edge of suicide multiple times and she’d hated herself her whole life.

          Love was an illusion, but yet, deep inside, she wanted to experience the feeling of being loved. She’d lost hope over and over, but she’d hear the woman’s voice saying, “...Probably...” Jesus was probably looking for her and she wanted to be here waiting when he came for her.

          UnRee’s mother NEVER loved her. In fact, she hated her. UnRee remembered accidently dropping a bowl of cereal on the floor. Her mother beat her with an electric cord and locked her in the downstairs closet all night.

Somewhere along the way she began to see all mothers as BAD, especially hers. UnRee was depressed most of the time, she was self-loathing, and she did drugs, when she could afford them, to “feel” something.

          Her mother made her believe something was wrong with her and the way life had treated UnRee, maybe her mother was right.

          UnRee felt she was faulty from birth and her mother consistently said, “...I didn’t ask for you to come into my life. You are a BIG mistake...”

          In spite of all the negative treatment from her mother and others in her life, UnRee still sought after the illusive love from a man named Jesus.

          Was she really crazy? For 27 years UnRee had been rejected, constantly reminded she was a mistake, was told she was hated, and a disappointing failure of a human being.

          This is where she had ended up, on the street with a bucket and a cardboard sign, trying to survive. Survive for what? More of the same treatment?

UnRee hated her mother in return for what she’d done to her and continues to do. Her own mother was one of the people who drove by and threw trash in her bucket.

UnRee got pregnant at 13 and left her child on someone’s doorstep. The little boy was probably 14 years old now. She never looked back.

She was a broken person. She couldn’t care for him and she knew she couldn’t love him either. When she got pregnant her mother kicked her out and told her to never come back. She’d shouted, “...you are the child of a pedophile and so is that bastard in your belly. Now get out!...”

APOSTASY cause DEPARTURE FROM GOD

DIVORCE

THROUGH APOSTASY .

 “…You have fallen away from God’s GRACE…” (Galatians 5:4 NLT). “... IN LATTER TIMES “SOME” SHALL [CHOOSE OR DECIDE TO] ...DEPART FROM the [CHRISTIAN] ... FAITH !!!!...” (1 Timothy 4:1-3 KJV). “...Take heed, BRETHREN, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God...” (Hebrews 3:12 KJV). “...If ye continue in the faith ... and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel ...” (Colossians 1:22-23 KJV).

         When a divorce happens it means a marriage has been terminated. It also means the legal duties and responsibilities of each spouse have been canceled and the vows, under the rule of law, are no longer binding.

In order to obtain a divorce, the married couple, must go through a legal process, according to their state or country, which will require the involvement of a court to decide on issues such as distribution of properties, child support, alimony, sharing of debt, and the splitting of material possessions.

The reason for divorce, varies, but could entail anything from incompatibility to infidelity. In the instant of divorce either both parties want the divorce, or one party wants the divorce and the other concedes to the other parties wishes.

The bottom line is that a DIVORCE is the dissolution of a marriage and it requires a LEGAL PROCESS to END it.

When APOSTASY happens it means the covenant relationship with God has been terminated. “... You “WERE” SEALED ...WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE.…” (Ephesians 1 NLT).

THE WORD SAYS: “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God. …” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT). God says, “…I change NOT” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).

“…MY WORD … that goeth forth out of my mouth: it SHALL NOT return unto me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I please, and it SHALL PROSPER in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God. …” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

God says, I “…am WATCHING over my word to PERFORM it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB). Therefore, “... the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,....” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB).

BECAUSE OF WHAT THE WORD SAYS: “... the word of God ...piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,....” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB).“…you have been cut offfrom Christ! …” (Galatians 5:4 NLT).

It also means the spiritual duties and responsibilities of the redeemed man or female had toward God, the Holy Spirit, have been rejected and the beliefs (vows), based upon his holy law, have also been forsaken and abandoned. “… [YOU]… FORGOT all about ME,” says the Lord…” (Hosea 2:13 NLT). “…They ABANDONED the Lordthey turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT). “...people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching....” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT).“...They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear...” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT). “...They will reject the truth and chase after myths...” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT).

“...some will turn away from the true faith;...” (Hebrews 4:1-2 NLT).

“...they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons...” (Hebrews 4:1-2 NLT).

“...These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead...” (Hebrews 4:1-2 NLT).

 “…We will continue to live as WE WANT TO, stubbornly following our own evil desires…” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).

 “…My people would not listen to me. They KEPT DOING WHATEVER THEY WANTED, following the stubborn desires of their [OWN] evil hearts” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

In order to achieve APOSTASY, the redeemed man or woman, goes through a spiritual process of renouncing and disassociating him or herself from God, the Holy Spirt. “... a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths...” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT).

“...Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead...” (Hebrews 4:1-2 NLT).

...the people replied, “…We will continue to live as WE WANT TO, stubbornly following our own evil desires…” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).

 “…my people would not listen to me. They KEPT DOING WHATEVER THEY WANTED, following the stubborn desires of their [OWN] evil hearts” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

The redeemed man or woman has willfully CHOSEN to fall away from the covenant relationship with God and return to a life without HIM. “...For if, after they (those who were in a covenant relationship with God) have escaped ... they (those  who were in a covenant relationship with God) are AGAIN entangled in them (their former sinful lifestyles practices) ... it would be better for them (those who were in a covenant relationship with God) not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from (by choice) the holy commandment ... It has happened to them (those who were in a covenant relationship with God) according to the true proverb, “A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire...” (2 Peter 2:20-23 NASB).  “... EVERYONE (NO EXCEPTIONS) who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness ... the one who practicessin is of the devil ... No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of GOD...” (1 John 3:7-10 NASB).

“…what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ (the Word of TRUTH) with Belial (the DEVIL or Father of LIES)? Or what part hath he that believeth (depends upon God) with an infidel (one who doesn’t depend upon God)?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV).

 “…My people would not listen to me. They KEPT DOING WHATEVER THEY WANTED, following the stubborn desires of their [OWN] evil hearts” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

 “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God. …” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT). “......piercing ... asunder ...soul and spirit,....” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB).“…you have been cut offfrom Christ! …” (Galatians 5:4 NLT).

They have also CHOSEN to abandon previously held beliefs (vows) and have decided to defy or rebel against the practice of those same beliefs.“...dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God...” (Hebrews 3:12-13 NLT).

“...God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it...” (Hebrews 4:1 NLT).

The reason for APOSTASY, varies, but could entail anything from a desire to continue to practice a sinful lifestyle to spiritual infidelity. “... They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear...” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT). “...They will reject the truth and chase after myths...” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT). “…For years on end my people have FORGOTten ME” (Jeremiah 2:32 NLT).  “…They ABANDONED the Lord to serve Baal (other objects of faith)…”(Judges 2:13 NLT). “…Ever since I brought them from Egypt they have continually ABANDONED ME and followed other gods (other objects of faith)…” (1 Samuel 8:8 NLT). “…For my people have ABANDONED ME and offered sacrifices to pagan gods (other objects of faith)…” (2 Kings 22:17 NLT).

In the instant of spiritual APOSTASY against God, the Holy Spirit, only one party wants to forsake or abandon the covenant relationship. God, the Holy Spirit concedes to the other party’s willful CHOICE. "… I hate divorce (APOSTASY)," says the LORD, the God of Israel..." (Malachi 2:16 NASB). “…[Yet]...GOD GAVE THEM OVER to a reprobate mind to do those things which are convenient...being filled with all unrighteousness...” (Romans 1:28 KJV). “…, …We will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires…” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT). “… my people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned away and ABANDONED me….” (JEREMIAH 5:23 NLT). “…They kept doing whatever they wanted” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

The redeemed man and woman can willfully CHOOSE to depart from God, the Holy Spirit, but God, the Holy Spirit, doesn’t depart from them. : “…I am with you always, to the very end…"(Matthew 28:20 NIV). God will “…Never leave nor forsake you…” (Hebrews 13:5 KJV).  “…Behold, I am with … [you] and will keep … [you] whithersoever [you]… goest…I will not leave [you] ..." (Genesis 28:15 ASV).

However, God, the Holy Spirit, concedes, to your CHOICE to leave or depart from HIM. “...The Lord said, My [Holy]...Spirit shall not always strive with man…” (Genesis 6:3 KJV). “…They DID NOT like to retain God in their knowledge (MINDS), GOD GAVE THEM OVER to a reprobate mind (wicked, unrepentant mind)” (Romans 1:28 KJV). “...God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them...” (Romans 1:24 NASB). “...God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper...” (Romans 1:28 NASB). “....I gave them over to worthless decrees and regulations that would not lead to life...” (Ezekiel 20:25 NLT).“...It has happened to them according to the true proverb, A dog returns to its own vomit,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire...” (2 Peter 2:20-23 NASB).

“… I will remove thy candlestick out of his place…” (Revelation 2:5 KJV).“… the dividing asunderof soul and spirit…” (Hebrews 4:12 KJV).“…you have been cut off from Christ! …” (Galatians 5:4 NLT).“…You have fallen away from God’s GRACE…” (Galatians 5:4 NLT).

The bible presents the scenario, in regard to, human relationships, which says if you are married to someone who is NOT believing STAY committed to them.  However,  “...if the unbelieving one leaves, let him (her) leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace. For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?” (1 Corinthians 7:15-16 NASB).

Similarly, God, the Holy Spirit, concedes to the man or woman’s willful CHOICE to depart from him, yet he REMAINS faithful to his covenant promises to them. “…If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT).

God, the Holy Spirit’s, LOVE also remains UNCONDITIONALLY. “…[Nothing]…will be able to separate us from the love of God,which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”(Romans 8:31-39 NASB).

God, the Holy Spirit, will NEVER let his covenant partner perish or let anyone SNATCH them out of his hands as long as THEY CHOOSE to abide in him. “...I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me...” (John 10:28 NLT).

However, they are to choose to “...Remain in me, and I will remain in you...” (John 15:4). “...Abide in me and I in you...” (John 15:4 KJV). “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV). …If a man (woman) abide NOT in me, ‘he (she) is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned…” (John 15:6 KJV).

God’s FAITHFUL and LOVING role in the covenant relationship with the redeemed man or woman is UNCONDITIONAL, but the redeemed man or woman’s ROLE is “NOT.” “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “...[My Word to you].... is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV). However, “…Choose you (through human will) this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).

Every vow and promise God makes, to the redeemed man or woman, is SOLID. “…MY WORD …that goeth forth out of my mouth: it SHALL NOT return unto me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I please, and it SHALL PROSPER in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). God says, I “…am WATCHING over my word to PERFORM it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB). “He has granted to [his people]… His precious and magnificent promises…” (2 Peter 1:4 NASB). “…As many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yesalsoAmen …” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NASB). “…Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made … failed; all came to pass…” (Joshua 21:45 NASB).

 BUT, because of HUMAN WILL, the redeemed man or woman’s vows and promises to God are NOT SOLID. “... You, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight (THE NEXT VERSE REQUIRES HUMAN WILL OR HUMAN CHOICE) “If” ye (CHOOSE TO) continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister...” (Colossians 1:21-23 KJV). “... Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters (BELIEVERS)...” (Hebrews 3:12 NLT). “...Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, (THE NEXT VERSE REQUIRES HUMAN WILL OR HUMAN CHOICE) if” we (CHOOSE TO) hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end...” (Hebrews 3:12-14 KJV). .“...HE (SHE) THAT “SHALL” ENDURE (THROUGH HUMAN WILL OR HUMAN CHOICE) UNTO THE ENDSHALL BE SAVED...” (Matthew 24:13 KJV).

The bottom line is that  APOSTASY causes the dissolution of the covenant relationship and it requires a man or woman to willfully CHOOSE to FORSAKE or ABANDON the relationship in order to END it.“…If you love me, you will (CHOOSE TO.) keep my commandments…” (John 14:15). However, “…My people would not listen to me. They kept (CHOOSING TO DO) ...whatever they wanted” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). “… The people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to (CHOOSE TO) live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT). “…Thus saith the Lord; ‘Cursed be the MAN (or woman) ... whose HEART (WILLFULLY) departeth from the Lord” (Jeremiah 17:5 KJV) Thus, “…They (MY PEOPLE) broke [THEIR] ... covenant [WITH ME BY CHOICE], though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the Lord…” (Jeremiah 31:32 NASB).

“… to ... those who were once enlightened— AND THEN TURN AWAY…” (Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT). “… repent and DO the first works (CHOOSING to ABIDE with God, the Holy Spirit)…” (Revelation 2:5 KJV).

 “…Choose you (through human will) this daywhom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).

“... REPENT AND RETURN, “SO” that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB). “ ... Return ... to the Lord ... [your] ... God... [AND HE] ... will heal [your] ... apostasy ....” (Hosea 14:1-4 NLT). “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV).

THE SINFUL NATURE IS SOMETHING YOU WERE BORN INTO; THUS, IT IS WHAT YOU ARE!


THE SINFUL NATURE

YOU ARE BORN “INTO” IT!

 “... When Adam sinned (choose to transgress God’s Holy law), sin (the enslaving symptoms of the flesh nature) entered the world. Adam’s sin (transgression) brought [spiritual] ... death (separation from God, the Holy Spirit).... [THOU SHALT SURELY DIE…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV)] ...so [spiritual] ... death (physical existence without God) spread to everyone...” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT).

“….I was born a sinner ….” (Psalms 51:5 NLT).  “...I want to dowhat is right, but I can’t.I want to do what is good, but I don’t. …I [am] …a slave to the sin (nature) (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…For all have sinned (all have the flesh nature)…” (Romans 3:23 KJV). “…all have ... come short of the glory of God (all are born WITHOUT the indwelling Holy Spirit)…” (Romans 3:23 KJV).

         The sin nature was NOT originally created sinful. It was created as a body or flesh, or the human, earthen vessel, or that part of mankind that was made from the dust of the ground.  “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

The body or flesh, human vessel, or that part made from the dust of the ground was originally included in God’s compliment that everything he CREATED was GOOD. “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body),and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

God is GOOD and nothing else is GOOD, but him. In addition, one of the fruit of his Holy Spirit is goodness. “...The lord is GOODthere is none good but one, that is, God...” (Nahum 1:7 & Mark 10:18 KJV). “…there is  none like unto thee” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, GOODness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). "....The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives …” (Galatians 5 NLT).“…Apart from [the Holy Spirit]… [mankind cannot]... do nothing [they cannot be GOOD]…” (John 15:5 NIV).

“...I want to do what is good, but I don’t …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

If anything, upon earth is GOOD, it is because his Holy Spirit is UPON it or a PART of it! “…[god, the holy spirit]... is GOOD…” (Psalm 107:1 KJV). “..The lord... [God] ... is GOOD…” (Nahum 1:7 KJV). “...there is “NONE” good but one, that is, God” (Nahum 1:7 & Mark 10:18 KJV).

God’s GOODNESSis a WITNESS to his DIVINE nature and “NOT” mankind’s nature. “…The invisible [SPIRIT]…from the creation of the world is … [his] eternal power… [and his]....divine nature…[which are]...clearly seen (witnessed), (HOW is his power and nature witnessed?).... being understood (being made aware of or manifested) (HOW are they understood or manifested?)... by the things that are MADE (his created goodnesses) …” (Romans 1:20 KJV).

“...there is “NONE” good but one, that is, God” (Nahum 1:7 & Mark 10:18 KJV). “…Oh how great is thy GOODNESS…” (Psalm 31:19 KJV). “…GOOD and upright is the Lord…”(Psalm 25:8 KJV). “…For thou, Lord, is GOOD…” (Psalm 86:5 KJV). “…[God, the invisible Holy Spirit is]... GOODand doestGOOD…” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). “...there is none good but one, that is, God...” (Nahum 1:7 & Mark 10:18 KJV). “…All he DOES (God, the Holy Spirit DOES) is just and GOOD….” (PSALMS 111:7 NLT).

“…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (this was good), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (this was good); and man became a living soul (this was good)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

“…[God, the invisible Holy Spirit is]... GOOD …” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). “… I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).  “…All he DOES (God, the Holy Spirit DOES) is just and GOOD….” (PSALMS 111:7 NLT).

“…And the LORD God formed (shaped, molded, etc.) man [of] the dust of the ground (this was good)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made (including the BODY or FLESH made from the dust of the ground)……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

However, the BODY or FLESH was created TOGETHER with the SPIRIT and SOUL. The BODY, SPIRIT, and SOUL, together, according to God, was VERY GOOD. “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (this was good), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (this was good); and man became a living soul (this was good)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw everything he had made……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

What made the CREATION of mankind GOOD was because God, the Holy Spirit was a PART of the BODY and SOUL.  “…And the LORD God  ... breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (his Holy Spirit) (this was good)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…The Lord is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).“…Jesus Christ is IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

 “…[God is]... GOOD…” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is ... GOODness…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). "....The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit …” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…Apart from [the Holy Spirit]… [mankind cannot]... do nothing [they cannot be GOOD]…” (John 15:5 NIV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

The flesh nature of mankind was created, initially, GOOD, because of the “breathe of life” or the indwelling Holy Spirit. “… [God, the Holy Spirit is]... GOOD…” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). The “breathe of life” IS SPIRIT. God “IS” SPIRIT. “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). SPIRIT became the mystic and immaterial part of mankind. Mankind was GIVEN a portion of God’s SPIRIT, which made mankind a “LIVINGSOUL. “…And the LORD God  ... breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (this was good); and man became a living soul (this was good)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

 “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… inyou…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).

“…and man became a living soul(this was good)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). Mankind was MOLDED and SHAPED from the dust of the ground and GOD, the HOLY SPIRIT breathed INTO the nostrils of HIS creation, which THEN that creation became a “LIVING SOUL”

“…man became a living soul …”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “LIVING” refers to spiritual LIFE (the breathe of life). “…The Spirit of God ...[DWELT]… in ...[MANKIND]…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).

 “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE” (John 3:6 NLT).  “...The Spirit GIVES life...” (John 6:63 NIV). “...He is ... God (the Holy Spirit IS THE ONE) who made the world and everything in it ...He himself gives life (spiritual life) and breath (existence) to everything...” (Acts 17:24-25 NLT). “...[God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of  it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

SOUL refers to the immaterial part of mankind. When the SPIRIT and SOUL were UNITED mankind became a LIVINGSOUL.  LIVING = God and SOUL = man. “…And the LORD God  ... breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (he breathed into the nostrils of the lifeless body, God made from the dust of the ground); and [THEN]...man (woman) became a living soul (became a SPIRITUAL existence)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

However, the body made from the dust of the ground, APART from the SPIRIT is DEAD and can no longer do GOOD. “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV).“...I want to do what is good, but I don’t …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

Without God, the Holy Spirit, the body no longer houses a LIVING SOUL. WHY? “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE” (John 3:6 NLT).  “...The Spirit GIVES life...” (John 6:63 NIV). “...He is ... God (the Holy Spirit IS THE ONE) who made the world and everything in it ...He himself gives life (spiritual life) and breath (existence) to everything...” (Acts 17:24-25 NLT). “... [God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of  it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

“….Apart from [the Holy Spirit]…[mankind can]..do nothing (they cannot be spiritually united, again, with God, the Holy Spirit or be good)…” (John 15:5 NIV).

What made the CREATION of mankind “LIVING” and GOOD was because God, the Holy Spiritwas a PART of the BODY and SOUL.  “…And the LORD God  ... breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (his Holy Spirit) (this was good)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “...The Spirit GIVES life...” (John 6:63 NIV).“…[God is]... GOOD …” (Psalm 119:68 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is ... GOODness…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). "....The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit …” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…Apart from [the Holy Spirit]… [mankind cannot]... do nothing [they cannot be SPIRITUALLY ALIVE or GOOD]…” (John 15:5 NIV). “….God saw everything he had made…and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

NOW,“...I want to do what is good, but I don’t …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

WHAT HAPPENED?

God, the Holy Spirit, GAVE mankind (Adam and Eve) one HOLY instruction:  “…of every tree of the garden THOU MAYEST FREELY EAT: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou  SHALT NOT EAT of it; for in THE DAY THAT THOU EATEST thereof THOU SHALT SURELY DIE…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).

BUT“…The woman [became] ... convinced [to eat from the tree, anyway]... She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it...” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).

“….She [CHOSE to take] ... some of the fruit and [eat] ... IT. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and HE ATE IT, too” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).

“….God saw everything he had made……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31 KJV). Adam and Eve destroyed MUCH GOOD. “…God asked the woman, “What have you done?” (Genesis 3:7-13 NLT). “… ONE sinner destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD…” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB). “through one man SIN entered into the world, and DEATH THROUGH SIN, and so death passed to “all” men—“(Romans 5:12 KJV).  NOW “…All have sinned and fallen SHORT of the GLORY of God…” (Romans 3:23).

“….She [CHOSE to take] ... some of the fruit and [eat] ... IT. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and HE ATE IT, too” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).

“…God asked the woman, “What have you done?”(Genesis 3:7-13 NLT).

“.... At that moment their eyes were opened” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).  At that moment, they transgressed the holy law and “…[their] ...INIQUITIESseparated … [them from] ... God (the breath of life, the Holy Spirit, GOODNESS)…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that … [will] ...cut you offfrom God…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

A willful, voluntarily decision to ignore God’s holy instruction cut them OFF from God, the Holy Spirit or SEPARATED them from the breathe of life. “…It’s YOUR SINS that … [will] ...cut you off from God…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

Adam and Eve, who were FREE from sin, at the time, also had human will and decided, on their OWN volition, to ACT against God’s WORD.“… [YOU CHOOSE]... this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).

They freely CHOSE to do the opposite of what God’s Word instructed them to do. Choices have consequences and God fully disclosed to them what those consequences will be if they CHOSE “NOT” to listen to his Word. “... THE DAY THAT THOU EATEST thereof THOU SHALT SURELY DIE…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).

“…[They became] ... DEAD in trespasses and sin” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV). Their souls became dead souls, trapped within the prison of the body, made from the dust of the ground, because God’s Holy Spirit is not present. Sinners are “…DEAD “IN” trespasses and sin (within the sin nature)...” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV).

Dead souls are“…separated from the LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). BECAUSE, “…It is the SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John 6:63 NASB). “...I want to do what is good, but I don’t …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

Remember, “…[The redeemed]... were dead in [their] sins[too] and ... [NOW]…God made [them]... ALIVE with Christ. He forgave [them]… all [their]… sins…” (Colossians 2:13 NIV). God “….made [the redeemed]… ALIVE with Christ when [they]… were DEAD in transgressions…” (Ephesians 2:5 NIV). Like the prodigal son, “… [they were]…. DEAD and [have been made]… ALIVE AGAIN; [the redeemed were]… lost and [have been]… found…” (Luke 15:24 NIV).

SIN, the rejecting of God’s HOLY instructions, separated mankind from God, the Holy Spirit or the breathe of life. “…[Their] ...INIQUITIESseparated … [them from] ... God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).

Three things happened when Adam and Eve ate the apple:  1. “[Their] … iniquities (transgressions) …separated [them]… from God (the breath of LIFE)…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). 2. “…[They became] ... DEAD in trespasses and sin (souls trapped within the sinful nature)” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV). 3. Their Spiritual death was also the removal of the SPIRIT OF GOODNESS, which was produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit and left the SOUL in slavery to body of flesh which became the sinful nature.

How do you KNOW it is the SOUL (your being or existence) that is trapped in slavery to the sinful nature? Because the bible tells us Jesus RESTORES the SOUL. God, through the GIFT of Salvation restores the DEAD soul from the bondage or slavery to SIN, “…He restoreth my SOUL…” (Psalm 23 KJV). “…The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the SOUL…” (Psalm 19 NASB). “IN” Christ your DEAD soul has been restored and made “ALIVE AGAIN.” (Luke 15:24 NIV).

HOW? “…It is the SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John 6:63 NASB). “……God made you ALIVE with Christ. He forgave [you]… all [your]… sins…” (Colossians 2:13 NIV). “…he that is joined unto the Lord (Jesus) is ONE spirit… [with God again]” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…. old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “... and man ...[becomes]... a living soul (AGAIN)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

Spiritually DEAD souls are slaves to the sinful nature. “…The sin of my SOUL…” (Micah 6:7 KJV). “...I want to do what is good, but I don’t …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

The spiritually DEAD soul is heavily affected by carnality. “….When you follow the desires (influences) of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life WILL NOT inherit the Kingdom of God. …” (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT).

Adam and Eve ONCE had a body, Spirit, and soul but the Spirit separated. “….let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV).  “…..God created man in his own image…..male and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “….God formed man of the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (HIS Spirit or spiritual LIFE); and man became a living soul (soul)” (Genesis 2:7 KJV).

“….let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). They were originally created in God’s “image”, which is SPIRIT. “…God is not human (he is not a body, the flesh, or a soul)…” (Numbers 23:19 NIV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Spirit of God dwell in you (and dwelt in Adam and Eve)…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).

From that time, until NOW, everyone, born into the world, is born without the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…All have sinned (all are born with a sin nature only) and fallen short of the glory of God (born without the indwelling holy spirit)…” (Romans 3:23). “….I was born a sinner (I was born without the indwelling holy spirit)….” (Psalms 51:5 NLT).

NOW everyone is born with ONLY a sin nature. Everyone will eventually become a SLAVE to sin, and they cannot, on their own, be restored to WHOLENESS or REUNITED with God, the Holy Spirit, without an act of God’s LOVING GRACE.

The sinful nature ONLY knows how to SIN. Sinful behaviors are the symptoms of “that” nature. “….I was born a sinner ….” (Psalms 51:5 NLT).  “...I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good,but I don’t. …I [am] …a slave to the sin (nature) (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…the wages of sin (the symptoms of that nature, which are transgressions against God’s holy law) is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…For all have sinned (all have this nature)…” (Romans 3:23 KJV). “…all have ... come short of the glory of God (all are born WITHOUT the indwelling Holy Spirit)…” (Romans 3:23 KJV).

The body of flesh was NOT designed or created to OBEY God, therefore, the body of flesh became the sinful nature. The sin nature ONLY has a proclivity to DISOBEY God. “…The sinful nature is always hostile to God . …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “..[The sinful nature]... never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “...those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).

A man or woman, without God, the Holy Spirit, is a dead soul. They have NO true spiritual inclinations. They can have ethical behaviors, trained by the flesh that is hostile to God, but their natural proclivities are to sin and do what they want to do; “NOT” what God wants them to do. “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV). “…The sinful natureis always hostile to God . …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “..[The sinful nature]... never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “….I was born a sinner ….” (Psalms 51:5 NLT).  “...I want to do what is right, but I can’t. Signs, wonders, and miracles are ALL actions of God that REVEAL his character, his presence, and his supernatural power in the natural WORLD. “… Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done …” (Psalms 40:5 KJV). “… he had done so many miracles before them ….” (John 12:37-40 NLT).

Miracles are said to be the signs and wonders. Signs are supposedly a divine intervention by God like when Jesus turned the water to wine or fed the thousands with a few loaves of bread. “…Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him…” (JOHN 2:10-12 KJV).

 “… he hath done marvellous things…(Psalm 98:1 KJV).

Wonders are marvelous works by God, beyond man’s human capabilities like the healing of the man born deaf and Lazarus being raised from the dead. “And HE THAT WAS DEAD CAME FORTH, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go...” (John 11:43-44 KJV). “…Jesus said…I am the resurrection and I am the LIFE…..” (John 11:25 KJV). “…The things which are impossible with men … [are] …POSSIBLE… [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).  

God has NOT changed. He STILL does the SAME signs, wonders, and miracles. “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he [still] doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).  “…I am the Lord, I change NOT” (Malachi 3:6 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

Every sign, wonder, or miracle is done to POINT people to GOD, to showcase his divine authority over ALL of life, to encourage DEPENDENCY upon God, and his HOLY POWER.  “…This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifestedforth his glory; and his disciples believed on him (depended upon him)…” (JOHN 2:10-12 KJV). “…[He is] the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for [him]?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

Signs, wonders, and miracles that are manifested by the God of CREATION are done to encourage, impart, confirm, or strengthen spiritual truths, spiritual understanding, spiritual insight, spiritual dependency upon God, or reveal his HOLY presence or character.“… Jesus answered, and said…This is the work of God: that ye believe [or depend upon] him whom he hath sent (Jesus, his WORD).” (John 6:29 KJV). “…This beginning of miracles did Jesus … and his disciples believed on him…” (JOHN 2:10-12 KJV). “…his disciples [depended upon] him…” (JOHN 2:10-12 KJV).

False prophets and fakes can do deceiving signs and wonders too, but they won’t FOOL God’s disciples. “… Falsemessiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones…” (Matthew 24:24 NLT).

God’s signs, wonders, and miracles are manifested to make people, on earth, STAND IN AWE of the God of Creation’s and his UNIQUE ability to DO LOVING, supernatural, wondrous WORKS!! “… Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in AWE of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy. Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things…” (Psalms 65:8 NLT). “… Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things…” (Psalms 72:18 NLT).

Signs, wonders, and miracles are NOT limited to how God WORKS providentially to SUSTAIN and HOLD together the natural realm. “…In him ALL THINGS …hold together…” (Colossians 1:7 NIV). “… [God is]…sustaining ALL THINGS… by his powerful word…” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV).

Signs, wonders, and miracles are the UNLIMITED WORKS of God that REVEAL and MANIFEST his presence, his character, his power, his sovereignty, and his purposes from the supernatural realm. “…The things which are impossible with men … [are] …POSSIBLE… [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).  

A TRUE sign, wonder, or miracle is a WORK or ACT of God; “NOT” man. God, the indwelling Holy Spirit, PERFORM signs, wonders, and miracles “IN” and “THROUGH” his people. “…The …HOLY SPIRIT …is the SOURCE of [signs, wonders, and miracles].it is …God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his. The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power (supernatural WORKS and PERFORMANCES) THROUGH each of us … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

. “…That great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work “IN US” what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which worketh IN YOU both to will and to do of hisgood pleasure…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).

 “…I do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT).

“… Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know…” (ACTS 2:22 KJV).

“…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and WITH POWER: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for GOD WAS WITH HIM. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem…” (Acts 10:38-39 KJV).

 “…The Spirit of the Lord [was] upon [him[, because he hath anointed [him] to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent [him] to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (John 4:16-21 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

Signs, wonders, and miracles give credibility and confirmation to God’s WORD (Jesus), God’s presence, God’s character, and supernatural POWER in the lives of God’s chosen people. “…God publicly endorsed Jesus the Nazarene by doing powerful miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know. …” (ACTS 2:22 KJV).

What were some of the signs, wonders, and miraclesin the bible? All of Creation was full of signs, wonders, and miracles (Genesis 1 & 2). The flood was a wonder and the rainbow is an ongoing sign of God’s promise (Genesis 7 & 8). The tower of Babel was where God miraculously confused the languages (Genesis 11). Sodom and Gomorrah was miraculously destroyed by the rain of fire and brimstone from heaven (Genesis 19). Lot’s wife was miraculously turned into a pillar of salt Genesis 19). Sarah and Abraham miraculously conceived Isaac in their old age (Genesis 21).

Moses spoke miraculously to God through a burning bush that was NEVER actually consumed by the fire (Exodus 3). God revealed he was with Aaron when he miraculously changed his rod into a serpent (Exodus 7). God miraculously sent 10 plagues upon Egypt until they let HIS people go (Exodus 7-14). God miraculously parted the Red Sea so HIS people could cross over to the other side, on dry land and to safety (Exodus 14).

After travelling for days God’s people were thirsty and came to a body of water called Marah and found the water to be bitter. They cried out to God and God miraculously turned the water sweet, so they could drink it (Exodus 15).

God’s people also got hungry as they travelled through the wilderness. God miraculously sent them manna from heaven for days and days to provide for their nourishment (Exodus 16).

Balaam was sent to curse God’s people, but his donkey was stopped by angels sent by God. Balaam beat the donkey in order to make him continue the journey, but God miraculously made the donkey speak to Balaam and explain why he couldn’t continue. (Exodus 22).

God gave Joshua instructions on how to win the battle with Jericho. First they had to walk around the city seven times and afterwards the walls would fall down and they would be able to take the whole city. It happened just as God say it would; the walls of Jericho miraculously fell down and they victoriously took the city (Joshua 6).

The Amorites had attacked the Israelite’s allies and God allowed them to avenge them and win the battle by miraculously stopping the SUN from going down for a WHOLE day (Joshua 10).

God also miraculously sent LARGE stones from heaven to help them in the battle (Joshua 10).

God miraculously gave Samson, through the POWER of his Spirit, extraordinary human strength. He slayed a lion with his bare hands and defeated an entire army with the jawbone of an ass. God put the secret of his strength in his LONG hair (Judges 13-16).

A widow woman was low on flour and oil, and was preparing, for her and her son, to die from hunger. But God had mercy on her by miraculously making the flour and oil increase continually and she was able to feed Elijah and her household until the dry season stopped (1 Kings 17:8-16).

At the prayers of Elijah, God miraculously bought a drought upon the land and then at his prayers the rain miraculously returned, even though initially there was NOT a single cloud in the sky (1 Kings 18).

God, miraculously, delivered three Hebrew boys from a fiery furnace without a scorch, burn, or the smell of smoke on any of them (Daniel 3).

God, miraculously, delivered Daniel from the mouths of lions when he was thrown into the den with a whole bunch of them (Daniel 6).

God, miraculously, delivered Jonah from the belly of a whale and returned him safety to land (Jonah 2).

Jesus was miraculously and specially created to be an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the people. He was born of a virgin, and conceived by the Holy Spirit (John 1 & Luke 1).

Jesus miraculously healed blind people, deaf people, a woman with a spirit of infirmity, lepers, and many others (Matthew 9:27-31; John 9:1-7; Mark 7:31-37; Luke 13:11-17, 19:11-19).

Jesus miraculously turned water to wine (John 2:1-11). Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:38-44). Jesus blessed the fishermen with supernatural increase at HIS WORD (John 21:1-14) Jesus fed thousands, twice, with a few loaves of bread and some fish (Matthew 14:32, 15:32 & Mark 6:30, 8:1; Luke 9:10, & John 6:1-14).

Jesus delivered people from demons (Matthew 8:28; Mark 1:23, 5:1; & Luke 4:33, 8:26). Jesus STILLED the storm at his WORD alone (Matthew 8:23 & Mark 4:37, & Luke 8:22). Jesus walked on water (Matthew 14:25; Mark 6:48, & John 6:15).

Jesus ROSE from the dead (John 21:1-14). Jesus was God in human form. “…Though he was God…” (Philippians 2:6-7 NLT). He was“…born as a human being…” (Philippians 2:6-7 NLT).

Thus, when it comes to signs, wonders, and miracles, God’s people PRAY, DEPEND UPON HIM, and EXPECT him to DO special FAVORS in their LIVES and on their behalf. “…Lord … Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be donethrough the name of your holy servant Jesus. After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness…” (Acts 4:28-30 KJV). “…the Fatherthat dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

God’s people DEPEND UPON him to confirm his OWN WORD by DOING the WORK of his promises through signs, wonders, and miracles. “…the Fatherthat dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

 “…The disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs…” (Mark 16:20 KJV). “…The …HOLY SPIRIT …is the SOURCE of [signs, wonders, and miracles]. … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “… Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake…” (John 14:11 KJV). “…The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power (supernatural WORKS and PERFORMANCES) THROUGH each of us … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…The Fatherthat dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

Signs, wonders, and miracles are the responsibility of the HOLY SPIRIT. If you ASK or PRAY to God, and, DEPEND upon him, and EXPECT to do it; WILL HE? “…You can ask for anythingin my name, and I “will” do it...” (John 14:12-14 NLT).

“…You can ask for anythingin my name (jesus, the word of god)...” (John 14:12-14 NLT). “….You may ask for anything you want…” (JOHN 15:7 NASB). “…Ask and it will be given to you…” (Matthew 7:7 NIV). “…everyone who asks receives…” (Matthew 7:8 NIV).

 “…And this is the confidence that we have in him (Jesus), that, if we ask any thing according to his will (his word), he heareth us” (1 John 5:14 KJV). “… [We]Receive from him anything we ask, because we keephis commands (follow his instructions) and do what pleases him…” (1 John 3:22 NIV). “…If we know that he hears uswhatever we askwe know that we have what we asked of him…” (1 John 5:15 NIV).

Therefore,Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “… lean not unto thine own understanding…”(Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…The Father that dwelleth in [you], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT).

 “… [His word] shall not return unto [him]… void, but it shall accomplish that which [God]… please[s], and it shall prosper in the thing whereto [God]… sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). “…I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son…” (John 14:13 NIV).

Signs, wonders, and miracles are a responsibility of the Holy Spirit and “… he DOETH the WORK…” (John 14:10 KJV).

You are encouraged to choose to DEPEND upon the HOLY Spirit to DO the WORK “IN” and “THROUGH” you. . “…it is …God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

The HOLY SPIRIT “removes” obstacles, troubles, problems, issues, and gets rid of them from your life. Don’t doubt, but CHOOSE to depend upon, the HOLY SPIRIT to DO the WORK or signs, wonders, and miracles. "…Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and DOES NOT DOUBT in their heart but believes (depends upon God) that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” (MARKS 11:23 NIV).

WHATEVER you ASK for when you PRAY, believe or DEPEND UPON GOD that you HAVE received them and WHATEVER it is; is YOURS!! "… [DO] NOT DOUBT in [your] heart but [believe and depend upon God) …[and] what [you] say will happen, it will be done for [you].” (MARK 11:23 NIV). “…The Fatherthat dwelleth in [you], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

EXPECT the sign, wonder, or miracle to HAPPEN. God will even help your EXPECTANCY. “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT). “…The WORK of God: [is] that [you] believe on him (depend upon him) whom he hath sent.” (John 6:29 KJV). “…It is God who WORKS IN YOU” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…That great Shepherd of the sheep, EQUIP (empower) you with everything good for doing his will” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…That great Shepherd of the sheep …may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT).

DEPEND UPON God to empower your dependency upon him and your expectancy from him THEN you will see signs, wonders, and miracles in your LIFE regularly!! “…It is God who WORKS IN YOU” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

Who will DO the sign, wonder or miracle? God does. “…The Father that dwelleth in [you], HE DOETH the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…The HOLY SPIRIT “DISPLAYS” God’s power (supernatural WORKS or PERFORMANCES) THROUGH each of us … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

Why can you DEPEND UPON God to do the sign, wonder, or miracle? Because God CAN and he say HE WOULD. “…I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son…” (John 14:13 NIV). "… [DO] NOT DOUBT in [your] heart but [believe and depend upon me and) …what [you] say will happen, [and] it will be done for [you].” (MARK 11:23 NIV). “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).

…[God] is able TO DO exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…The things which are impossible with men … [are]… POSSIBLE [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).

Who is like the Living God of Creation? “…… I am God, and there is none like me…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV).  ). “…there is none like unto thee…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV).   

“… I AM WHO I AM’ This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).  “…I am  the Lord, the God of all flesh…” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). "… I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God…" (Revelation 1:8 NASB). “… I, the LORD … the first, and with the last. I am He...'" Why does God do signs, wonders, and miracles for HIS PEOPLE? God LOVES his people. “…the Lord loves His people …” (2 Chronicles 2:11 NASB). “… the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers…” (Deuteronomy 7:8 NASB). “… Blessed be the Lord your God who delighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel; because the Lord loved Israel (his people) forever…” (1 Kings 10:9 NASB). “…the Lord loves His people …” (2 Chronicles 2:11 NASB). “ … your God loved Israel (his people) establishing them forever …”(2 Chronicles 9:8 NASB). In “… His love and in His mercy He redeemed them…” (Isaiah 63:9 NASB). “… I have loved you with an everlasting love…” (Jeremiah 31:3 NASB). “… Even as the Lordloves the sons of Israel (his people)…” (Hosea 3:1 NASB). “ … I led them … with bonds of love, And I became to them as one who lifts the yoke from their jaws; And I bent down andfed them…” (Hosea 11:4 NASB).  “… Indeed, He loves the people…” (Deuteronomy 33:3 NASB).

Who are God’s people? Those who belong to him in Jesus Christ. “… [Everyone] … who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. [They]…are [ALL]… part of the same body, and enjoy the promise of blessings because THEY BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:6 NLT).  “…Those who belong to Christ Jesus …” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…Because YOU BELONG to him...” (Romans 8:1 NLT).(And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belongto him at all.) …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT (BELONG)…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “We are his;we are “HIS” PEOPLE...” (Psalms 100:3 KJV).

 “…You belong to Christ…” (1 Corinthians 3:23 NASB). “…you belong to God, my dear children…” (1 John 4:2-7 NIV).

ONLY God’s people are blessed and privileged to display and experience the true signs, wonders, and miraculous works of God.

 “… How blessed you are [people of God!] Who else is like you, a people saved(through the miraculous redemptive work) by the Lord? He is your protecting shield and your triumphant sword...” (Deuteronomy 33:29 NLT). “… I and the children the Lord has given me serve as signsfrom the Lordof Heaven’s Armies who dwells in his Temple on Mount Zion…” (Isaiah 8:18 NLT). “…The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power (signs, wonders, and miracles) THROUGH each of us … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

God said to Abraham: “…I will BLESS thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a BLESSING: And I will BLESS them that BLESS theein thee shall all families of the earth be BLESSED…(Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

Thus through salvation: “…Christ hath REDEEMED [miraculously saved all families] from the curse of the law (eternal death) …That the “BLESSING of Abraham” might come on [“THEM”]… through Jesus Christ …” (Galatians 3:13-14 KJV).

“…BY GRACE have ye been SAVEDTHROUGH FAITH…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…I will save you that you may BECOME A BLESSING....” (Zechariah 8:13 KJV).

“…you were called so that you may inherit a blessing…” (1 Peter 3:9 NIV).“…you will be a blessing…” (Genesis 12:2 NIV).

“….God has blessed, and I cannot reverse it!” (Numbers 23:20 NLT).  “by the GRACE of God I am what I am” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “by the GRACE of God [you are]…what [you are]” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

“…THY BLESSING is upon THY PEOPLE…” (Psalms 3:8 KJV). “…YOU MAKE [your people] “MOST” BLESSED forever; …” (Psalms 21:6 NASB). “…BLESSINGS are on the head of the righteous (God’s people)…” (Proverbs 10:6 NASB).  “…You surround [them] WITH FAVOR as with a shield…” (Psalms 5:12 NASB).

SALVATION IS a SIGN of A MIRACULOUS BLESSING!!

Signs, wonders, and miracles are ALL blessings and favors God bestows upon his SAVED people. “…Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH blessed us (the SAVED) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

By God’s GRACE you are “A” BLESSING. “by the GRACE of God I am what I am” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).  God DISPLAYS signs, wonders, and miracles “IN” and “THROUGH” his people by the Holy Spirit. “…The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power (signs, wonders, and miracles) THROUGH each of [them] … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “… [God’s people shall] serve as signsfrom the Lord…” (Isaiah 8:18 NLT).  “…A man can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…The LORD SHALL GIVE that which is good…” (Psalms 85:12 KJV). “…Every good GIFT and every perfect GIFT is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17 KJV).  “…What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?...” (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).

“…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT[S]” (2 Corinthians  9:16 KJV). “ …We have this treasure “in” earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV).  “…[People will]… know (witness through signs, wonders, and miracles) that everything [you]… have IS A GIFT “FROM” [God]” (John 17:6-9 NLT).

by the GRACE of God I am what I am” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “by the GRACE of God [you are]…what [you are]” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

For instance, “…God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles…” (Acts 19:11 NLT). “…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and WITH POWER:who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for GOD WAS WITH HIM…” (Acts 10:38-39 KJV).

 “…The Spirit of the Lord [was].. upon [Jesus], because he hath anointed [him]… to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent [him]… to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (John 4:16-21 KJV).

Signs, wonders, and miracles are acts of God that he DISPLAYS “IN” and “THROUGH” his people by the POWER of his indwelling HOLY SPIRIT.

These ACTS of God are displayed as EVIDENCE that God is STILL working and demonstrating signs, wonders, and miracles upon the earth.

The miracle of SALVATION, ALONE, is a sign and is meant to establish Christian faith (dependency upon God). “… Believe me (depend upon me) that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me (depend upon me) for the very works' sake…” (John 14:11 KJV).

God’s people have experienced, throughout biblical history and in the present, that God has POWER over SIN, death, sickness, demons, and ALL the natural world through signs, wonders, and miracles. God has NOT changed. “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “Jesus Christ is the sameyesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

ARE THERE “STILL” SIGNS, WONDERS, AND MIRACLES? YES, GOD HAS GIVEN THOSE WORKS TO HIS PEOPLE. “…I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me (depends upon me) will do the same works I have done, and even greater works (not different, but more global and expansive), because I am going to be with the Father…” (JOHN 14:12 NLT).

IN ORDER TO LIVE A TRANSFORMED LIFE, RENEW YOUR MIND!

 


RENEW YOUR MIND AND LIVE TRANSFORMED

“….Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind….” (Romans 12:2 KJV).

The bible says, “…And BE NOT conformed to this world: BUT BE YEtransformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God…” (Romans 12:2 KJV). Here we can clearly decipher that there is a clear distinction between being conformed and being transformed.

It is pretty obvious that the believer or follower of Christ is not to copy life patterns from the world, but aim, instead, for an higher, transformed lifestyle which is in accordance to the will of God.

To be conformed to the world is to copy life patterns from men and women who do not know Christ or the Living God of creation and are considered heathens from a biblical perspective. “…Thus saith the LORD, Learn NOTthe way of the heathen…” (Jeremiah 10:2 KJV). “…And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you…” (Ezekiel 11:12 KJV). “…I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols…” (Ezekiel 23:30).

The way to avoid copying the patterns of heathen lifestyles is to renew your mind. The mind houses all that’s in the heart, which includes evil thoughts. “For out of the HEART come EVIL THOUGHTS—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander…” (Matthew 15:18-19 NIV). Therefore, the mind, before Christ, is basically an instrument of evil.

The bible says, “…as he [or she] thinketh in his [or her] heart, so is he [or she]…” (PROVERBS 23:7 KJV). What this verse tells you is that thoughts are in the heart thus “…thinketh IN his heart…” We’ve always understood that thoughts are associated with the mind. In addition, the thoughts are IN the heart. “…..out of the HEART come EVIL THOUGHTS—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander…” (Matthew 15:18-19 NIV). The thoughts, from your mind, are IN the heart.

The renewed mind, after salvation in Christ, is to become an instrument of righteousness influenced by the Holy Spirit and thus making you able to make choices based on what the will of God is in order to behave accordingly.

The renewed mind will reveal behavioral actions for the believer that proves God’s will and what God considers a good and acceptable lifestyle. The acceptable lifestyle is the perceptive part of Christianity. It is what makes you a true Witness for Christ like Christ was for God.

A heathen lifestyle will always, no matter how big or small, be in opposition to God’s will for your life. "…A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough…" (Galatians 5:9 NIV). A holy lifestyle is all that will be acceptable with God and no other. God does not endorse straddling the fence, where you are part-time heathen and part-time believer. "… You must purge the evil from among you…” (Deuteronomy 21:18-21 NIV). God is ONLY pleased when his people live holy and separate themselves from all forms or appearances of wickedness. “…Abstain from all APPEARANCE OF EVIL…” (1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV).

When the word says be NOT conformed it is not an option. “…Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “…And do not touch what is unclean…” (2 Corinthians 6:13-17 NASB).It literally means NOT to copy, in any form or fashion, the heathen lifestyle.

This includes habits, fashion patterns, behaviors, actions, practices, or speech. Whatever the current, wicked and idolatrous culture and age; do not conform to it. “…ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. …” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV).

God wants his people to be influenced and governed by the biblical lifestyle and pattern their lives after the example of Jesus Christ. Many believers think they are NOT conformed to the heathen lifestyle and are in fact transformed from it, but either consciously or unconsciously they are indulging in many of its patterns and practices. “…thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and …art polluted with their idols…” (Ezekiel 23:30).

 

Most non-believers, especially from the 21stcentury, find so-called followers of Christ to be hypocritical and are turned off from Christianity. Some believers still cherish patterns of thinking and practices from the heathen lifestyle. “….These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me…” (Matthew 15:8 NLT).

Their mind is still devoted to some aspects of the heathen lifestyle and they either secretly or overtly follow carnal pleasures whether than aim at wholly cultivating the biblical lifestyle. “.. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:16-17 NLT). A little sinful thinking is still some sinful thinking and some sinful thinking is too much.

Therefore, the one solution to this problem is to transform the mind by renewing it in order to cultivate a spirit of holiness and holy living in the world. Believers are to influence the heathen lifestyle; not the other way around. “…LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE before men, that they may see your good works…” (Matthew 5:16 KJV), “…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven…” (Matthew 5:16 KJV).

Renewing the mind will result in a change of heart, affections, emotion, lifestyle patterns, and other heathen practices. “…In this world we are like Jesus…” (1 John 4:17 NIV). In reality the believer is a new creation. “…Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

Without renewing the mind the believer would be useless to the Christian lifestyle and would most likely be full of hypocrisy. “….apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness… ” (Matthew 23:27 KJV).

Being full of hypocrisy is the result of a continual conformity to the world and limited to external conduct and habits NOT impacted by transformation that comes ONLY from REnewing the mind. “…thou …art polluted with their idols…” (Ezekiel 23:30).

Whatever your mindset is you are proving to those witnessing your lifestyle who’s WILL you are choosing to follow. Only a wholly devotion to renewing the mind will prove you are God’s disciples. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). 

A divided mind, still embracing the heathen patterns of thinking is, unfortunately, unsuitable for truly demonstrating the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God.“…A double minded man is unstable in all his ways…” (James 1:8 KJV).

The whole mind is renewed for the purpose of doing the will of God and it is the renewed mind that is suitable for truly demonstrating the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God. “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

The renewed mind that is enabled to do the will of God is proved through one’s conduct. The renewed mind that seeks God’s guidance in all matters of life will commit their actions to him. The renewed mind that wants to demonstrate God’s good, perfect, and acceptable will aims to promote God’s honor and glory in the world. "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).

 

The effort that goes into renewing the mind is for the purposes of allowing God to remove the defects and stains of sin from the former heathen lifestyle. “Create in me a clean heart, O God…” (Psalms 51:10 KJV). The heart “…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked…who can know it [except God?]” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV).

This effort is pleasing to God, because it also influences holiness and separation from sin, which ultimately honors and glorifies God in the world. . "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so PROVE to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV). Therefore, “…BE YE transformedby the renewing of your mind, that ye may PROVEwhat is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God…” (Romans 12:2 KJV).

BLESSED BY GOD MEANS I HAVE DIVINE FAVOR EXPRESSED THROUGH THE RICHES OF HIS GLORY (CHRIST WITHIN ME)

                                                             
BLESSED DEFINED

“…I will BLESS thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a BLESSING: And I will BLESS them that BLESS thee, …in thee shall all families of the earth be BLESSED…” (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

GOD BLESSED THEM...” (Genesis 1:28 KJV). “…Then God BLESSED them…” (Genesis 1:28 NLT).Being blessed by God means he intends to abundantly bestow his divine favor and peace - through gifts and care-giving to mankind - in a servant-type presentation, out of his holy, powerful love for them.

God bestowed a blessing on Abraham. “…I willmake of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed… (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

One of the definitions of “Blessing” in Hebrew, according to Strong’s concordance, is berakah which means gifts/favors, peace, prosperity, or to bestow happiness and well-being upon. “…God blessed them…” (Genesis 1:28 KJV).“… I will bless thee…and thou shalt be a blessing… (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

Abraham was both blessed and a blessing.

The idea of berakah seems to imply that because God is the Divine Blessor, a blessing or bestowed happiness is independent of self or circumstances, or what is happening externally. It is a state of INNER contentment, especially for God's redeemed people, regardless of what’s happening around them. “…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want…” Philippians 4:11-12 NIV). “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).

The blessings of God are NEVER solely linked with temporary things or external circumstances. The blessings of God or bestowed, unmerited favor, however, is ALWAYS linked with eternal things or internal attitudes.

“…BLESSED are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. BLESSED are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. BLESSED are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. BLESSED are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. BLESSEDare the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. BLESSED are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. BLESSED are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. BLESSED are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. BLESSED are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake….” (Matthew 5:3-11 KJV).

Another definition of “blessing” is barak which means “to kneel” where one humbly bows and bestows adoration upon God for “who” he is and “what” he has done. “…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessingsin heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

God’s relationship of grace with believers, the believer’s submissive response to that grace “IN” Christ Jesus, and his multiple spiritual gifts are ALL blessings.

There is no GREATER blessing than reconciliation with God and receiving the inheritance of his riches in glory “IN” Christ Jesus.

God blessed Abraham and explains that blessing to believers today. God bestowed a blessing on Abraham. “…I will bless thee …and thou shalt be a blessing… and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed… (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

Then he bestowed the blessing on believers. “…Christ hath REDEEMED us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the “BLESSING of Abraham” might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that WE MIGHT receive the promise (BLESSING) of the Spirit through faith…” (Galatians 3:13-14 KJV).

A God-given blessing is bestowed, abundant, divine “UNMERITED” favor. You didn’t EARN it, you didn’t DESERVE it and you did NOTHING to be WORTHY of it. “…All have sinned and fallen SHORT of the GLORY of God…” (Romans 3:23).

“…There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10 KJV).“…There is not a just man (woman) upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not…” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV). “…the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “[your own] … iniquities (sin) …separated[YOU]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).

As sinners that have “fallen short” we deserve NOTHING from God at all, especially blessings (Romans 3:23). BUT “…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessings [anyway]… in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

“…WE LOVE, because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19 ASV). “…WE GIVE you only what you first gave us! …” (1 Chronicles 29:14 NLT). “…God… who HATH blessed us [first]…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV). “…I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth…” (Psalms 34:1 KJV).

God initiates his divine blessings to mankind. There is no self-centered, self-seeking, or self- gratification to be gained from God’s show of kindness. “…the GOODNESS of Godleadeth thee to repentance?” (Romans 2:4 KJV). God “….is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).

GOD BLESSED THEM...” (Genesis 1:28 KJV). “…Then God BLESSED them…” (Genesis 1:28 NLT).God abundantly bestowed his divine, UNMERITED favor and peace UPON mankind. “…The words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive’” (Acts 20:25 NASB).

A true God-given blessing is ANYTHING, EVERYTHING, and ONLY that which comes down from heaven. “…Every good GIFT and every perfect GIFT is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17 KJV).  “…The LORD SHALL GIVE that which is good…” (Psalms 85:12 KJV). “…A man (woman) can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him (her) from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV).“…What do you have that God hasn’t given you? (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).

“…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH BLESSED us with all spiritual blessingsin heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV). “…ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though HE WAS RICH, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).

Jesus was RICH before he came to earth. He had material wealth in the spiritual REALM. “…In my Father's house are many mansions…” (John 14:2 KJV). The bible describes the materials in which the “new Jerusalem” will be built (Revelation 21:2 KJV). “…the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass…” (Revelation 21:18-22 KJV). “…our Lord Jesus Christ …HE WAS RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).

Yet on earth, “…Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head…” (Luke 9:58 KJV).

He had no place to lay his head on his OWN earth.“…The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein…” (Psalm 24:1 KJV). “…for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof…(Psalm 50:12 KJV). “…Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine” (1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV).

God did NOT send Jesus to merely BLESS people with material blessings. “…God SO LOVED the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).

Material wealth, material possessions, and material abundance can easily become linked to deceit. “…The cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches…” (Mark 4:19 KJV).

Material wealth can deceive you right into pride and cause you to forget God. “…And being satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me…” (Hosea 13:6 NASB).

“…When your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have multiplies, then your heart will become proud and you will forget your God…” (Deuteronomy 8:13-14 NASB).

“…You have acquired riches for yourself And have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.…. You have increased your riches And your heart is lifted up because of your riches…” (Ezekiel 28:4-5 NASB).

Because material wealth can be deceitful and come between a person’s relationship with God, some people don’t desire it. “…Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me. Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.…” (Proverbs 30:8-9 KJV).

At Jesus’ return many will have much material wealth, but little or NO spiritual wealth. “…I know thy works, and tribulation, and POVERTY, (but thou art RICH)…” (Revelation 2:9 KJV). “…Because thou sayest, I AM RICH, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and KNOWEST NOT that thou art wretched, and miserable, and POOR, and blind, and naked…” (Revelation 3:17 KJV).

“…Remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that GIVETH thee POWER to GET WEALTH…” (Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV).   “…For it is Godwho works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

“…My God will supply all [your need]… according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB). “what is the riches of the glory…; …CHRIST IN YOU” (Colossians 1:25-28 KJV).

“…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH BLESSED us with all spiritual blessingsin heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV). “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB).

…The Spirit of God dwelleth in you…” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you” (1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). “…the Spirit of God dwell[s]… inyou…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…The [spiritual]…blessing of the LORD, it maketh RICH…” (Proverbs 10:22 KJV). “…who HATH BLESSED us with all spiritual blessings“IN” Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

Being spiritually blessed by God means he has abundantly bestowed his divine favor and peace upon you. Receiving his blessings means YOU accept his gifts/favors, peace, prosperity, and well-being.

A blessing, therefore, is given and received. “…A man can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…His divine power hath GIVEN unto US “ALL” THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV).

 “…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH BLESSED us with all spiritual blessingsin heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

GOD BLESSED THEM...” (Genesis 1:28 KJV). And he has BLESSED YOU!

GOD, OUR  HUSBANDMAN OR CAREGIVER

“... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV).

         The term “husbandman” means a lot of things in both the old and new testaments. We will be looking at husbandman through its definition as farmer, worker of the land, or a producer of crops.

In light of these terms, a husbandman does husbandry or manages the production, development, and fruition of crops.

          Adam was the first to be called this kind of husbandman and was to work the land in the garden of Eden. “...The Lord God took the man (Adam) and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it...” (Genesis 2:15 NIV).

          To work the land meant that one of the duties of Adam was to take care of the crops. Adam was blessed and given special dominion skills, from God, to do this kind of work. “...God blessed them and said to them, “...Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it ...RULE OVER (have dominion over).... Then God said, “I give youevery seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food ...And it was so...” (Genesis 1:28-31 KJV).

          In the 21st century, a husbandman or farmer who takes care of crops prepares the fields for planting seeds and checks to ensure it is the right season to plant.

They make sure the crops are cared for properly, so they keep abreast of weather conditions in case the crops need special care or protection. They check to make sure they are planting in the proper soil. They keep the fields watered, fertilized, purged, free of animals or pests, and free of competing weeds.

They also make sure the crops are harvested at the right time and try to prevent weather or climate from ruining the crop.

The husbandman shoulders the whole responsibility of managing the planting, cultivating, tending, purging, and harvesting of the crops from start to finish.

The husbandman may hire helpers, but he is ultimately responsible for the success of every individual crop. Under, the husbandman’s instructions, the helpers may water the fields, help with planting, fertilizing, cultivating, and/or the harvesting of the crop.

But, the good husbandman will work WITH his helpers to care for his “own” crops. He will work alongside his workers to plant the crops, cultivate them, purge them, and harvest them.

A good husbandman also EXPECTS his crop to produce its FRUIT, especially when the husbandman KNOWS what he has invested within the crop.

Jesus said: “... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV). God is called the husbandman and Jesus calls, himself, the vine.

A vine is a plant with a stem, that requires support, because it climbs or crawls along the ground by tendrils or branches. Vines were popular in historical times, and grape vines were a main source for various products and wines.

The promise land was said to be plenteous with vines and vineyards. “...That place (one of the cities in the promise land) was called the Valley of Eshkol because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut off there. They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran ...[and] ... reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land (grapes from a grapevine).They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit (the grapes from a grapevines)...” (Genesis 1:23-27 KJV).

Vines and vineyards require constant care or the fruit would become corrupted.

The husbandman had to keep the branches protected from certain animals, cultivated the soil, plowed the weeds, cleared debris, and pruned the branches.

In the bible, dead and fruitless branches were cut off, gathered, and burned by the husbandman. “... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV). “…abidein me, and I in you…” (John 15:4 KJV). “…If a man abide NOT in me, ‘he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned…” (John 15:6 KJV). “…The branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. …” (John 15:4-6 NASB).“… I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him,he bears much fruit,…” (John 15:4-6 NASB).“…apart from Me you can do nothing…” (John 15:4-6 NASB).

“... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV). God, the Father and Holy Spirit, is the Holy husbandman who produces spiritual fruit “in” and “through” his people, WHEN they abide in Christ.

“…God ...the … HOLY SPIRIT .. is the SOURCE of ...[spiritual fruit]it is …God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of ...[HIS people]... The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power (to produce spiritual fruit) THROUGH each of us … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…the Father that dwelleth in [YOU] … he doeth the works..[of producing spiritual fruit]…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…” (Galatians 5:22 NLT). A good husbandman ensures the vine and branches are fruitful.

Jesus makes it clear that he is “THE TRUE VINE.” “... I am thetrue vine..” (JOHN 15:1 KJV). Jesus, as the VINE, points to his indwelling presence, his restoral of spiritual life, his indwelling empowerment, and his production of spiritual fruit.

The roots of a grape vine nourishes and sustains its branches so they can grow and develop their fruit.

The indwelling Holy Spirit nourishes the believer and because of their union with God they grow and develop to produce spiritual fruit.

“…The branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. …” (John 15:4-6 NASB). The branches can NOT bear fruit, without abiding in the vine. In fact, if the branches are cut-off from the vine, it dies and can no longer produce fruit.

“… I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit,…” (John 15:4-6 NASB). The believer is totally dependent upon the indwelling Holy Spirit to produce spiritual fruit. “…The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruitin our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…” (Galatians 5:22 NLT).

It is the UNION between the believer and God, the indwelling Holy Spirit, who is also the source, that produces spiritual fruit. “… apart from Me you can do nothing…” (John 15:4-6 NASB). “…The Holy Spirit produces ...[spiritual]... fruit in our lives…” (Galatians 5:22 NLT).

However, it is through, choosing to stay with the connection, that spiritual fruit is produced. “…I am the vine, you are the branches…” (John 15:1-11 NASB). “…abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…” (John 15:4 KJV).

“…I do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV).  “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…He who ABIDES in [the Father] and [he in them,]… bears much fruit ” (John 15:1-11 NASB). "… [The]… Father is glorified (his presence is made known or witnessed) by this, that “YOU” bear much fruit, and so PROVE to be [his]… disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).

“…Ye shall [be known]… by [your]… fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…All men will knowthat you are My disciples, if you have love for one another…" (John 13:35 NASB). “[God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “… he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

No believer can produce spiritual fruit apart from Jesus, the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…If a man abide NOT in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned…” (John 15:6 KJV).

All abiding branches will produce spiritual fruit, which proves their connection to the vine.“…He who ABIDES in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit ” (John 15:1-11 NASB). "…My Father is glorified by this, that “YOU” bear much fruit, and so PROVE to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).

“…Ye shall know [God’s people]… by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…Apart from [the indwelling Holy Spirit,] YOU can do nothing.” (John 15:5 KJV).

…Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit... [and] a good tree CANNOT bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit...” (Matthew 7:16-22 KJV). “...You can identify them… by their … fruit, that is, by the way they … act” (Matthew 7:16 NLT). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control….” (Galatians 5:22-23).

Fruitless believers are NOT connected to the vine (the indwelling Holy Spirit), have chosen NOT to abide in him, and do NOT belong to him.

“…abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, exceptit abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…” (John 15:4 KJV). “…The branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. …” (John 15:4-6 NASB).

 “…those who do nothave the [indwelling Holy]... Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to himat all.….” (Romans 8:8-11 NLT). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). The fruitless branches are purged and removed for the sake of other, fruit producing, branches.

“... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV).

The TRUE VINE, depends upon the heavenly FATHER, the husbandman and the believer depends upon Jesus, the indwelling Spirit for EVERYTHING!  “... In him we live (have spiritual life), and move (produce spiritual fruit), and have our being (have a spiritual identity as a new creation) ...For we are ... his offspring...” (Acts 17:28 KJV).

How does the believer gain restored spiritual life, produce spiritual fruit, and obtain a new spiritual identity? Through reconciliation with God, the husbandman, through Jesus Christ, the true vine.“…[God sent the ] …one … who can [REUNITE] God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus (WHO comes to DWELL WITHIN)…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).“...we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son...” (Romans 5:10 KJV).

“…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…God has given [you] his Spirit as PROOF that [you]… live (are alive) in him and he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT).  “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

“... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV). “… [The husbandman sent the ] …one… who [could REUNITE] God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus (the true vine WHO comes to DWELL WITHIN)…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

Every believer willingly chooses to trust in, depend upon, and cooperate with the indwelling Holy Spirit to empower them to live a holy, righteous, surrendered, and fruitful spiritual life. “... In him (jesus) we live (have spiritual life), and move (produce spiritual fruit), and have our being (have a spiritual identity as a new creation) ...For we are ...his offspring...” (Acts 17:28 KJV).“…Apart from [the indwelling Holy Spirit,] YOU can do nothing.” (John 15:5 KJV).

In the Old Testament husbandmen planted vineyards, were gardeners, vinedresser’s, farmers, raised crops, and worked the land. Therefore, a VINE, needs a husbandman to TAKE CARE of it, to MANAGE it, and to bring it to FRUITION.“... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV).

Jesus is the TRUE VINE that God planted upon the earth. The true VINE trusted God, the husbandman and Holy Spirit to plant him upon the earth, to care for him, to manage his cultivation, and to empower him to bear fruit.

The husbandman planted a SEED in the garden of the earth. “…The Kingdom of Heaven (or the coming of Jesus) is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field (upon the earth)...’” (Matthew 13:24-30 NLT). “… the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds:  ” (Matthew 13: 18-23 NLT). “...The seed is the word of God...” (Luke 8:11 KJV).“… His name (Jesus, the true VINE) is called The Word of God (the SEED)…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).

The seed trusted its CARE to the husbandman. “...He (Jesus, the Word, the SEED) gave Himselfover to Him (God, the father, the Holy Spirit, and the husbandman who is always) judging justly...” (1 Peter 2:23 KJV).

The husbandman ensures the VINE has everything it needs through his constant cultivation. He also ensures the VINE is full of the nourishment necessary to thrive, grow, reach its God-given potential, and serve its purpose. “…I (Jesus, the true VINE) do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). “…the Fatherthat dwelleth in me (Jesus, the VINE), he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT). HOW? “…God (the husbandman and Holy Spirit) anointed (empowered) Jesus of Nazareth (the WORD, the true VINE) with the Holy Spirit and POWER, …” (Acts 10:38 NIV).

Because of God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, the WORD and the true VINE was planted upon earth by the husbandman,  cared for by the husbandman, cultivated by the husbandman, and empowered to bear spiritual fruit by the husbandman.

“…God (the husbandman) anointed (empowered) Jesus of Nazareth (the true vine) with the Holy Spirit and POWER,and …he went around ...[producing spiritual fruit by]... doing good and healing all  (HOW?)...because …God [the husbandman]… was with him…” (Acts 10:38 NIV).

“…The [Holy] ...Spirit (the husbandman) of the Lord (the TRUE VINE)  … anointed [empowered JESUS] to preach the gospel to the poor ... [empowered him] to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at libertythem that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (John 4:16-21 KJV). “… [Jesus was EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit and he] went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; [BECAUSE] ...GOD [THE HUSBANDMAN] ...WAS WITH HIM…” (Acts 10:38-39 KJV).

The Holy Spirit and husbandman planted the seed upon the earth, which became the true VINE that grew branches. “... I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV).

The VINE depends upon the HUSBANDMAN and the BRANCHES depend upon both the true VINE and the HUSBANMAN. Jesus said: “…I (Jesus, the true VINE) do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). “…the Fatherthat dwelleth in me (Jesus, the VINE), he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

But Jesus says to the branches: “…abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, exceptit abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…” (John 15:4 KJV). “…The branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. …” (John 15:4-6 NASB).

“…Apart from [the TRUE VINE] YOU (branches) can do nothing.” (John 15:5 KJV).

The TRUE VINE is totally dependent upon the HUSBANDMAN. The BRANCHES are totally dependent upon the TRUE VINE. However, the TRUE VINE and the BRANCHES are both actually totally dependent upon the HUSBANDMAN and CAREGIVER. Jesus said: “…I (Jesus, the true VINE can) do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). Jesus also said: “…Apart from[the TRUE VINE] YOU (branches) can do nothing (either).” (John 15:5 KJV).

Thus the TRUE VINE and the BRANCHES are both DEPENDENT upon the HUSBANDMAN or CAREGIVER who is God, the FATHER and HOLY SPIRIT. “... my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV).

The TRUE VINE entrusted himself to the HUSBANDMAN - to water, cultivate, prune him - by totally depending upon God’s will for his life. “…Father not Mywill, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV). “…I (Jesus, the true VINE) do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV).“…the Father(the husbandman) that dwelleth in me (Jesus, the VINE), he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “...He (Jesus, the TRUE VINE) gave Himself over to Him (God, the father, the Holy Spirit, the husbandman, etc.) ...” (1 Peter 2:23 KJV).

Jesus, the TRUE VINE had absolute, unshakable confidence, faith in, and dependency upon the HUSBANDMAN. Knowing God, the FATHER and Holy Spirit’simmutable LOVE  and CARE will cast out ALL FEAR. “...We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love (like the TRUE VINE did). God is love ...Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love...” (1 John 4:16-18 NLT).

“...[Therefore,]....I will fear no evil: for thou art with me...”(Psalms 23 KJV). “…[God, the husbandman is]…Your rock and Yourfortress, your deliverer, Your GOD, Your rock, in whom [you can] … take refuge; Yourshield and the horn of Your salvation, YOUR stronghold.…" (Psalms 18:3 NASB). “...He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “…The LORD “WILL” accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “…God..[the husbandman]... is the one who provides …” (2 Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV).

The TRUE VINE “knew,” like the branches can also “know,” that the HUSBANDMAN or CAREGIVER will NEVER disappoint them. “…God (the FATHER and HUSBANDMAN) is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV).  “…the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM  (or depends upon him) WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED…" (ROMANS 10:11 NASB). “…In You they trusted (depended) and WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED…. (PSALMS 22:5 NASB).

Jesus GAVE his life by going to the cross, dying a criminal’s death, and entering into a grave. These steps of a righteous man were ALL done with UNWAVERING faith in, dependency upon and cooperation with the HOLY HUSBANDMAN.

…Father not Mywill, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV). “...He (Jesus, the TRUE VINE) gave Himselfover to Him (God, the father, the Holy Spirit, the husbandman, etc.) ...” (1 Peter 2:23 KJV).

The TRUE VINE gave himself completely OVER to the HUSBANDMAN’S hands, trusting him, even thru death and the grave, to raise him up as he SAID he would. “…I am the resurrection and I am the LIFE…..” (John 11:25 KJV).

Jesus KNEW his FATHER, the husbandman. Nothing was impossible for him and nothing too hard. The TRUE VINE’S God and Father “… is able TO DO exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…The things which are impossible with men are POSSIBLE with God…” (Luke 18:27 KJV).  “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). 

“…I (Jesus, the true VINE) do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV).“…the Father(the husbandman) that dwelleth in me (Jesus, the VINE), he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

The TRUE VINE abides, ALWAYS, with the HUSBANDMAN and teaches and encourages the BRANCHES to do the same. Jesus says to the branches: “…abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…” (John 15:4 KJV).

Jesus lets the BRANCHES know, by experience, that ABIDING in the TRUE VINE, who abides in the loving HUSBANDMAN is a WIN-WIN situation. “…God (the Holy Spirit, the husbandman, etc.)... is love…” (1 John 4:8 KJV). “…The …HOLY SPIRIT (God, the father, the husbandman, etc.) …is the SOURCE of [your CARE]it is …God who does the work IN and THROUGH [the true VINE and BRANCHES]. The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each of ...[them] … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

The BRANCHES as the TRUE VINE are in the loving and divine hands of the HOLY HUSBANDMAN and can safely and confidently GIVE their WHOLE lives over to his CARE.

“...He (the husbandman) careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “... thou (the husbandman) art with me...”(Psalms 23 KJV). “…[God, the husbandman is]…Your rock and Yourfortress, your deliverer, Your GOD, Your rock, in whom [you can] … take refuge; Yourshield and the horn of Your salvation, YOUR stronghold.…" (Psalms 18:3 NASB). “...He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “…The ..[husbandman]...“WILL” accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “…God..[the husbandman]... is the one who provides …” (2 Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV).

 “…I (the husbandman) will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I (the husbandman) will guide thee with mine eye…” (Psalms 32:8 KJV). “…My (the husbandman’s) Presence will go with you…” (Exodus 33:14 NIV). “…I (the husbandman) am with you always, to the very end…"(Matthew 28:20 NIV). “…[I, the husbandman will] ... Never leave nor forsake you…” (Hebrews 13:5 KJV).

“…I (the husbandman) am the Lord, I (the husbandman) change NOT” (Malachi 3:6 KJV). “…he (the husbandman) remains faithful…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NIV).

“...He (the husbandman) careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).“…[The husbandman has] ...loved [you]...with an everlasting love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). By the grace of God (the husbandman) I am (you are) what I am (you are)” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

I AM LOVED AND CARED FOR BY THE HUSBANDMAN.

YOU ARE LOVED AND CARED FOR BY THE HUSBANDMAN.

In order to be ALL IN, the BRANCHES must also surrender their trust, their independence, and their human will to the TRUE VINE and the HUSBANDMAN.

BE ALL IN: “… present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service…” (Romans 12:1 KJV).

JESUS, THE TRUE VINE WAS ALL IN: God “...[Jesus]... said, It is finished (I went ALL IN. I have provided the atoning sacrifice, according to your will)…” (John 19:28-30 KJV). “I [laid] down my life... [AS YOU COMMANDED, HEAVENLY FATHER] ” (John 10:17-18 KJV).  Jesus “… give His life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). “… HE WAS [spiritually] RICH, yet for your sakes he became [spiritually] poor, that ye through his poverty might be [spiritually] RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).“I [laid] down my life... No one [took] it from me, but I [laid] it down of my own accord (my choice). ” (John 10:17-18 KJV). “….Christ pleased not himself…” (Romans 15:3 KJV).  “…[HE WENT “ALL IN”] ...to give His life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV).

…Father not Mywill, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV). “...He (Jesus, the TRUE VINE) gave Himselfover to Him (God, the father, the Holy Spirit, the husbandman, etc.) ...” (1 Peter 2:23 KJV).

God, the husbandman, ensures and empowers the growth, development, and fruitfulness of the BRANCHES as with the TRUE VINE.

As, the husbandman and caregiver, KEPT his promises and gave his immutable LOVE and CARE to the TRUE VINE, thru death and the grave, he will give it to the BRANCHES.

No matter what the BRANCHES go through, no matter how deadly it appears, and even if it seems as dark as the grave, the HUSBANDMAN’s immutable LOVE and CARE will bring them through it all VICTORIOUSLY.

Jesus died and enter the grave, BUT he ROSE again like the husbandman SAID he would.“...I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore..” (Revelation 1:18 KJV). “...he is risen...” (Matthew 28:6 KJV). “...We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him...” (Romans 6:9 NLT).

Jesus entrusted himself to the husbandman. He went through death upon the cross and entered into the tomb with unwavering faith in the husbandman. “... it is written, [that]... Christ... [would suffer and]....rise from the dead the third day...” (Luke 24:46 KJV). “...he is risen...” (Matthew 28:6 KJV). “...After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered he had said this, and they believed both the Scriptures and what Jesus (the TRUE VINE) had said...” (John 2:22 NLT).

God, the husbandman, MADE Jesus, the TRUE VINE, what he was MEANT to be. “….the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve othersand TO GIVE HIS LIFE as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28). “... I the LORD (the true vine) am thy Saviour …” (Isaiah 60:16 KJV). “…You (TRUE VINE) are ... my savior…” (Psalms 40:17 NLT).

“…the Father [the husbandman] that dwelleth in me (the TRUE VINE), he doeth (empowers) the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “... my Father is the husbandman...” (JOHN 15:1 KJV).

The husbandman will ALSO make, every branch, what it is MEANT to be as well. HOW? “…If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE ” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [New creations]… are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus (the true VINE) unto good works …” (Ephesians 2:10 KJV). “…it is God (the husbandman) which worketh in [new creations]” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…NOT that [new creations]… are ADEQUATE IN [THEMSELVES]… to consider anything as coming from [themselves]… but [THEIR]… ADEQUACY IS FROM GOD (the husbandman)” (2 Corinthians 3:5 NASB). “…Now GOD (the husbandman) GIVES [new creations] many kinds of special abilities … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “… The ... Holy Spirit (the husbandman) ... is the source of ... all ... [growth, development, pruning, or cultivation of new creations]… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…There are different kinds of service to God …but it is the same GOD (husbandman) WHO “DOES” THE WORK IN AND THROUGH ... [new creations]... who are his… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…The Holy Spirit “displays” God’s power THROUGHeach [new creation]… … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…It is the ... Holy Spirit who gives [new creations]... all these gifts and powers, deciding which each one of [them] should have… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

 “…It is God(the husbandman) who works IN YOU (branches)” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). BRANCHES can say: “by the grace of God I am what I am” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

“… [New creations, branches, etc.]… are HIS (the husbandman’s) workmanship (husbandry), created in Christ Jesus (the true VINE) unto good works (fruitfulness) …” (Ephesians 2:10 KJV).

May ALL branches CRY OUT to God, the husbandman these words: “…work IN and THROUGH ...[me indwelling Holy Spirit] … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

THE INDWELLING SPIRIT RESTORES SPIRITUAL LIFE TO YOU

…God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them…” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV).

“…The Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people…” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV).

“…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (God, the thinking Spirit), the Word (Jesus, the speaking Spirit), and the Holy Ghost (the working Spirit): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV). God, the thinker informs or directs. Jesus, the speaker speaks the information or direction out loud. The Holy Spirit does what he is informed or directed to do.

In other words, God commands; Jesus “SPEAKS” what God commands; the Holy Spirit “DOES” what Jesus SPEAKS and God commands. “…The Father (God), the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (Spirit)…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

God is the Sovereign Father. Jesus is the Word of the Sovereign Father. The Holy Spirit is the Power of the Sovereign Father. “…THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

God INFORMS or DIRECTS. Jesus SPEAKS the INFORMATION or DIRECTIONS. The Holy Spirit DOES what is INFORMED or DIRECTED.

The FATHER’s (God, the informer or director) WORD (Jesus, the speaker) is POWER (Holy Spirit, the doer) and they are ONE. “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost (POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE: “…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB). “…Then God (God, THE FATHER commanded), SAID (Jesus, the WORD spoke his command); “Let there be light” AND THERE WAS LIGHT (The HOLY SPIRIT, the POWER, did God’s command spoken through Jesus) …” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

The commanding, speaking, and doing is all happening immediately and simultaneously (altogether), not separately. : “…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).

“…In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).

The FATHER’s (God) WORD (Jesus) is POWER(Holy Spirit) and they are ONE. “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost (POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

Therefore, “…There is ONE … God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all….” (Ephesians 4:4-5 KJV). “… There is but ONE GOD…” (1 Corinthians 8:6 KJV). “….The LORD is our GOD, the LORD is ONE…” (Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV). “…There is no God, but ONE…” (1 Corinthians 8:4 KJV).

One day God commanded, “….LET US MAKEman … after our likeness…”(Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body),and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

Which part of MAN was MADE in God’s “image” and “likeness?” “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).   “…And the LORD God … breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Himself=SPIRIT)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “…The Spirit of God dwell[ed] … in … [the male and female]…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).

Thus, “…man (woman) became a living soul …” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

The PRESENCE of God, his Holy SPIRIT, was ONE ( or IN uninterrupted UNION) with man’s SOUL within the BODY. The BODY and SOUL was spiritually ALIVE and it was very good!!  “….God saw … it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

God created man with a body, soul, and his SPIRIT! “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV).“….Apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

AGAIN: “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body),and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw … it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

The RELATIONSHIP between God and the man he’d created “….was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV). ALL WAS WELL!! God informed and directed MAN by SAYING: “…of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: BUT of the tree of the knowledge of good and evilTHOU SHALT NOT EAT OF IT …[or] … thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).

However Satan came along with his LIES SAYING:  “…ye shall not surely die.…” (Genesis 3:4-5 KJV).

 “…The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it.” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).

The woman’s decision was MAJOR. Her decision was CATATROPHIC. Her decision ALTERED her path. Her decision KILLED her UNION with God. “….God saw … it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV). Thus, “… ONE sinner destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB). SATAN said: “…ye shall not surely die.…” (Genesis 3:4-5 KJV).

Nonetheless, Adam and Eve DIED spiritually at “THAT” very moment as God HAD said. … Thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).

 “… [Their] … iniquities … [immediately] … separated[them]… from God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…Every man (or woman) is tempted, when … [they are] … drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it BRINGETH FORTH SIN: and sin, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH…” (James 1:13-15 NLT).

 THAT day “Sin entered into the world, and DEATH through sin, and so DEATH passed to all men—“(Romans 5:12 KJV). Sin was INVITED into Adam and Eve’s environment and spiritual DEATH come along with it. “…SIN IS the transgression of the law….” (1 John 3:4 KJV). “…The wages (payment) of sin is death (spiritual death)…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

GOD said through a SPOKEN WORD to Adam and Eve: “…THOU SHALT NOT EAT OF IT …[or] … thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV). “…[Their]... INIQUITIESseparated … [them]... and [their]... God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).  Even through, “…And the LORD God ...breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). Adam and Eve’s soul were “... SEALED ...WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE (the breath of life).…” (Ephesians 1 NLT).  YET, “... the word of God... thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV)]...  is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,....” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB).

In addition, “... Everyone who practices sin also practiceslawlessness; and sin is lawlessness...  the one who practices sin is of the devil ...   anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of GOD...” (1 John 3:7-10 NASB).

Adam and Eve were ONE SPIRIT with God, the Holy Spirit, but the WORD said they WOULD “die” IF they ate of the forbidden tree. The SOUL AND SPIRIT separated Adam and Eve from God. The PRACTICE of SIN will CUT you OFF from God, the Holy Spirit. “…You have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s GRACE…” (Galatians 5:4 NLT). “…Your INIQUITIESseparated … you and your God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).

God NEVER changes. “…I change NOT” (Malachi 3:6 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that … [will] ...cut you off from God…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT). . “…Your INIQUITIES[will separate] … you and your God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? [NONE]...And what communion hath light with darkness? [NONE]...And what concord hath Christ (the Word of TRUTH) with Belial (the DEVIL or Father of LIES)? [NONE]...Or what part hath he that believeth (depends upon God) with an infidel (one who doesn’t depend upon God)? [NONE]...” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV).

 “…God asked the woman, “What have you done?” (Genesis 3:7-13 NLT). “… ONE sinner destroy[ed] … MUCH GOOD” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB). “… [They were] …separated… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). They were NOW “…DEAD in trespasses and sin (sinful nature)…” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV). “Through … [Adam and Eve] … sin entered into the world, and DEATH through sin, and so DEATH passed to all men—“(Romans 5:12 KJV). NOW “…All have sinned (have a sinful nature only) and fallen short of the glory of God (do not have the indwelling Holy Spirit)…” (Romans 3:23).

 “…The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’” “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wantedthe wisdom it would give her ” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).

 “…So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too…” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).  IMMEDIATELY, Adam, Eve, and ALL of mankind became “…separated from the (spiritual) LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV).

God commands. Jesus Speaks, and the Holy Spirit does what God commands and Jesus speaks. God, the Father commanded Jesus, his Word to say this: “…in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV). God, the Father commanded the Holy Spirit, his POWER, to separate soul and SPIRIT. “… [They] … separated from the LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…At that moment their eyes were opened” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).

“…At that moment their eyes were opened (to an existence without the indwelling PRESENCE of the Holy Spirit of God)” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).  “… [They immediately became] … separated from the [spiritual] LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). The Holy Spiritseparated from mankind. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… [Their] … iniquities …separated [them]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…between us and you a great chasm (barrier) has been set in place…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB).

 “…God asked the woman, “What have you done?” (Genesis 3:7-13 NLT). “… ONE sinner destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).

God, the INDWELLING Holy Spirit SEPARATED from mankind. “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (Body) … [but] … the breath of life (Spirit) … [separated] … and man became a … [dead] … soul (Soul) …” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV).  “… MUCH GOOD … [was destroyed]” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).

What can MAKE mankind WHOLE again and RESTORE them to God, the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT? Who can return mankind BACK to God’s original, created “image” and “likeness” that was ONCE so VERY good? “….LET US MAKEman … after our likeness…”(Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body),and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

“…Jesus Christ makeththee whole…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “…If any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a NEW creature ” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…I WILL GIVE you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart…” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT).

Therefore, “…May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).

God WANTED “YOU” back in UNION with him (the HOLY SPIRIT). “... God so loved the world, that HE GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life…” (John 3:16 KJV).

GOD expressed, demonstrated, and informed YOU of his LOVE through JESUS’ Word and the Powerful Holy Spirit’s actions. The FATHER’s (God) WORD (Jesus) is POWER (Holy Spirit) and they are ONE. “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost (POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

 “…God SO LOVED the world, that he GAVE” (John 3:16 KJV). “…God ….GAVE his only begotten (specially created) Son” (John 3:16 KJV).   “…NOT that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US... (1 John 4:10 KJV). “….HE FIRST LOVED US” (1 John 4:19 ASV).

The PROOF of God’s loving desire to restore mankind to himself is this: “…not that we loved God, but that he loved usand SENT HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV).

GOD “SPARED NOT his own Son, but DELIVERED him up FOR US ALL” (Romans 8:32 KJV). “God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by “SENDING” Christ to die for us WHILE we were still sinners” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…There is no GREATER LOVE than to lay down one’s life…” (John 15:13 NLT).

God’s LOVE is enough to COVER over ALL that separates YOU from him. “…Love COVERETH a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs 10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV).

God’s LOVE is enough to forgive you for every single sin, big or small and cleanse (FREE) you from them all just to bring you BACK to HIMSELF again through the covenant relationship. “…If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV).

God’s LOVE is enough to ERASE and ERADICATE your record of wrongs and NEVER remember them again. “lovekeeps NO RECORD of wrongs. …” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…For I will …remember their sins NO MORE…" (Hebrews 8:12 NIV).  

God’s LOVE, for YOU, is enough to last your WHOLE life and ALL eternity. He has “….loved [you]...with an EVERLASTING love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). A “Love …[that] … never FAILS….” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). God’s LOVE, for you, NEVER weans, wavers, or is faithless. “… The … FAITHFUL love of the Lord, [for you], NEVER ENDS...!”(Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT).

God’s LOVE, for you, is so GREAT that he created a begotten SON; to be a living sacrifice in order to bring you BACK to him. “…there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit (Father), and the water (Holy Spirit), and the blood (the Word): and these three agree in one…” (1 John 5:8 KJV).

God MADE Jesus, his WORD, flesh as a WAY to express his love, demonstrate his loving care, and reveal himself to mankind. “…the Word (Jesus) was made FLESH (made into human form or flesh, or into an earthen vessel) ...” (JOHN 1:14 KJV).

“… He (Jesus, who was made flesh) had a name written, that no man knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). 

Jesus “IS” “The WORD of god.” (Revelation 19:12-13 KJV).  “…The only begotten (specially MADE) Son (Jesus, was God’s WORD)…” (John 1:18 KJV).

Jesus was a special MADE work of God, the HOLY SPIRIT. “… [Jesus, the WORD made flesh]...which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God…” (John 1:13 KJV).

“…The Holy Spiritshall come upon you (Mary, the human mother of Jesus), and the power of God shall overshadow you; so the baby born to you will be utterly holythe Son of God…” (Luke 1:35 NLT).

“…The only begotten (specially MADE) Son (Jesus, the WORD), of the Father, he hath declared (expressed, demonstrated, REVEALED, etc.,) HIM (God, the Holy Spirit) [to mankind]…” (John 1:18 KJV).“…Christ also hath once SUFFERED for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might BRING US … [back] … to God…” (1 Peter 3:18 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit wanted his people BACK in the covenant relationship with HIM. So, God sent THE ONE (Jesus, his WORD) to reconcile their LOST and spiritually dead souls and his Holy SPIRIT back together again. “… [He (God, who is SPIRIT) sent the] …one  (his WORD, which is also SPIRIT)… who can (through his POWER which is also Spirit) reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “...the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost (POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).

The lost and spiritually dead soul is RESTORED to God’s Holy Spirit again when, “…he (she) ...is joined unto the LORD [and becomes]... ONE SPIRIT…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…God … sent forth the Spirit of His Son (his WORD) “INTO” [Y[OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB).

“…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE ” (John 3:6 NLT).

The lost and spiritually dead soul is MADE whole again. “...Therefore if any man(woman) be in Christ, he(she) is a new creature...” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…Jesus Christ makeththee whole…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “... and man (woman) became a living soul (soul AGAIN)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless…” (1 THESSALONIANS 5:23 KJV).

A person is SAVED” when they become a believer or follower of Christ who has been MADE WHOLE. They have been FREED from SIN, the sinful nature, its affects, its influences, and its consequences. “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole (RESTORES YOU AGAIN)…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “... [You have been] made free from sin….” (Romans 6:18 KJV). “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed...” (John 8:36 KJV). “where the Spirit of the Lord (God’s Word is Spirit) is, there is liberty (freedom)...” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).

“…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…THE WORDS THAT I (Jesus) SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT (god)…” (John 6:63 KJV).

Being made FREE also means you recognized you were a sinner, asked God for forgiveness, and decided to REPENT by changing your mind about sin, sinful practices, and the sinful lifestyle. "…Therefore REPENT AND RETURN, “SO” that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing (restoral to wholeness) may come from the presence of the Lord (the presence of HIS indwelling Holy Spirit)…” (Acts 3:19 NASB).  “Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED” (ROMANS 10:9 KJV).

REPENTANCE is a very important and necessary part of being MADE WHOLE because a change of mind, about sin, sinful practices, and the sinful lifestyle, will result in a change of thinking and actions about sin too. “…REPENT YE (Change your mind, practices, actions, etc.), AND BELIEVE the Gospel (depend upon the power of God’s Word to empower you to live FREE from sin)…” (Mark 1:15 KJV). “…REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD…” (Acts 20:21 KJV). "…Therefore REPENT AND RETURN, “SO” that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB).

REPENTANCE is the change of MIND that LEADS to becoming MADE WHOLE in ALL that you are and all that you do. “…REPENT ye (change your mind, practices, actions, etc.) therefore, and BE CONVERTED (SAVED/MADE WHOLE), that your sins may be blotted out(that you may be DELIVERED from your sins and RESTORED to wholeness again)…” (Acts 3:19 KJV).

… [YOUR] … iniquities (sin) …separated [YOU]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED” (ROMANS 10:9 KJV). “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole (SAVES, RESTORES , AND MAKES YOU WHOLE YOU AGAIN)…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “…The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “….Apart from [Jesus or DEPARTED from HIM, YOU can]… do nothing (you cannot be SAVED or inherit ETERNAL LIFE)…” (John 15:5 NIV).

Becoming SAVED or MADE WHOLE is the WAY mankind GETS the INDWELLING SPIRIT back, which will also RESTORE the original, created “image” and “likeness” of God. “Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED…” (ROMANS 10:9 KJV). “…For WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made UNTO SALVATION…” (Romans 10:10 KJV).  “…For WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED…” (Romans 10:13 KJV). “…REPENT ye therefore, and BE CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out …” (Acts 3:19 KJV).

HALLELUJAH, “…Christ hath REDEEMED usThat the “BLESSING of Abraham” might come on … [US] … through Jesus Christ; that WE MIGHT receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…” (Galatians 3:13-14 KJV). “…The Lord is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).

“… AS MANY as received him (JESUS), to them GAVE HE … [BACK] … POWER (THE INDWELLING SPIRIT) TO BECOME THE “SONS” (“DAUGHTERS”) OF GOD (children of God) … [AGAIN]……” (John 1:12 KJV). “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” [YOUR]… HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…The Lord (his WORD) is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…THE WORDS ....they ARE SPIRIT (too)…” (John 6:63 KJV).

“…[God said:]... my righteous servant (Jesus, his WORD) ... [made]... it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he...[bore]... all their sins…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT). “…God, in his grace, freely MAKES US RIGHT in his sight…” (Romans 3:21-26 NLT). “…I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earthI DELIGHT in these things” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT). “…HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…” (Micah 7:18 KJV).

“…God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were STILL sinners(Romans 5:6-8 NLT). “… [Jesus came]…TO GIVE His life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). Jesus “present[ed his body as]... a living sacrifice …” (Romans 12:1 KJV). “… [Jesus]…humbled himself and became obedient unto death, eventhe death of the cross…” (Philippians 2:8 KJV).“…Father, not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV).

Jesus’ righteous works and spiritual fruit drew the LOST, OPPRESSED, SPIRITUALLY DEAD, and NEEDY “BACK” to God. “...the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing...” (Luke 9:11 KJV).

“...And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed...” (Mark 6:56 KJV).

“...Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there...” (Matthew 19:2 KJV). “...the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all...” (Luke 6:19 KJV).

… God  … work[ed] … in … [Jesus] … what is pleasing to him [to him]…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the Father... [that DWELT within JESUS]… he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

The righteous works and displays of spiritual fruit came through Jesus, but were performed by the POWER of God’s Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is also the working POWER of God and DOES the WORK he is commanded, by the Father, to do.… he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit, through Jesus was also the slain sacrifice called the Lamb of God, who was killed in your place and therefore becoming the atoning sacrifice for your sins. “…Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV).

Jesus’ sacrificial death was the atoning sacrifice for mankind’s sins. “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours…” (1 John 2:2 NIV).

All, who accept, can NOW enter freely into the new covenant relationship with God THROUGH Christ. “…This cup is the new covenant in my blood …which is poured out for you…” (Luke 22:20 ASV).

Jesus’ death was like the death of the slain animal sacrifices in the Old Testament blood covenants. His blood is now the blood of the new covenant, which is an everlasting covenant (Ezekiel 37:26). “...This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins...” (Matthew 26:28 KJV).

Jesus is mankind’s permanent and once-for-all substitute for sin, which allows lost and spiritually dead souls to enter into an everlasting covenant relationship with God, the Holy Spirit. again. “...For Christ also died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us [BACK]...to God, having been put to death in the flesh (as the atoning sacrifice), but made alive in the Spirit...” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB).

Jesus is both the sacrificial lamb (atoning sacrifice) and the RECONCILER, between the lost and spiritual dead souls and God, the Holy Spirit. “...For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit...” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB).

Jesus enters the relationship with God, the Holy Spirit, as the representative for lost and spiritual dead souls and opens the way, for them, to become reconciled with God. “…Jesus opened a new and life-giving way ... into the Most Holy Place…” (Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT). “...Jesus saith…I am the way…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…"This is the way; WALK in it…" Isaiah 30:21 NIV).

“…[He sent the] …one … who can reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

 

 

Thus,“… [His] … GRACE is sufficient for [you]...” (2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV).  “…For God SO LOVED the world, that he GAVE…” (John 3:16 KJV). “…NOT THAT WE LOVED, God, but that HE LOVED US... (1 John 4:10 KJV). “HE FIRST LOVED US…” (1 John 4:19 ASV). “…God ….GAVE his only begotten Son” (John 3:16 KJV).   

“…I am the Lord, I change NOT” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ is the sameyesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13 :8 NIV). GOD’S “…Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Lovedoes not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Italways protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, Love never fails…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).  

 “… [Nothing] … will be able to separate … [you] … from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:31-39 NASB). God, through Christ, has “….loved [you]...with an everlasting love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “….CONTINUE IN MY LOVE….” (JOHN 15:9 KJV).  “…Love … the perfect BOND of UNITY...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB).

The indwelling HOLY SPIRIT is God. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ [his WORD, which is Spirit too]... is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

The indwelling HOLY SPIRIT is PROOF of a restored soul. “….He restoreth my soul….” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT). “I will restore…” (Jeremiah 30:17 KJV).  God is a “…restorer of thy life…” (Ruth 4:15 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE” (John 3:6 NLT).

The indwelling HOLY SPIRIT is PROOF of a restored covenant RELATIONSHIP with God. “…The believers were filled WITH … the … [INDWELLING] … Holy Spirit…” (Acts 13:51-52 NLT). “…He [or she]… that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT….” (1 Corinthians 6:17).

“…Jesus Christ makeththee whole…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “…If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature ” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…I WILL GIVE you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart…” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT).

Therefore, “…May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together …[again]… —spirit, soul, and body” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).

 The indwelling HOLY SPIRIT is God. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The … [ indwelling] … Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ is … [indwelling] … you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

You may EXIST, you may be physically ALIVE, and you may be BREATHING, but you are and can ONLY be spiritually ALIVEwhen you are reconciled, restored, and made WHOLE through the INDWELLING Holy Spirit!!! “…the body without (apart from the indwelling Spirit) the spirit is dead!!!…” (James 2:26 KJV).

THEY CHOOSE TO LEAVE THEIR FIRST LOVE

                                                           
          LEAVING YOUR FIRST LOVE

“….BECAUSE THOU HAST “LEFT” THY FIRST LOVE….” (REVELATION 2:4 KJV).

God has a complaint against the church (his people) in Revelation chapter 2. “…I have this against you …you have leftyour first love…” (Revelation 2:4). He said “

Initially you think THEY have LEFT their FIRST LOVE or THEY have left or departed from the love THEY once had for HIM, but at second glance you realized they have left or departed from the FIRST love HE had for THEM. MEDITATE ON THAT!

“…I have this against you …youhave left your first love…” (revelation 2:4) NASB). What does God mean that YOU have left "YOUR" FIRST LOVE God?

The truth “IS” no one experiences a true “first” love until they have had an experience with true LOVE; FIRST. “…Love is patient … [God’s]…love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. … [God’s grace-filled]…love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…There is no greater LOVE …” (John 15:13 NLT).

…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). God “spared not his own Son, [in order to demonstrate FIRST LOVE] but delivered him up for us all?” (Romans 8:32 KJV). “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV).

God SO  [first] LOVED the world, that he GAVE…” (John 3:16). “…Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that HE [first] LOVED US... (1 John 4:10 KJV). “We love, because HE FIRST LOVED US” (1 John 4:19 ASV). “….God SHOWED HIS GREAT [first] LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…[Nothing]…will be able to separate us from the [first] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”(Romans 8:31-39 NASB). He has “….loved [you]...with an everlasting  [first] love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). “…God is  [first] love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…There is no greater  [first] LOVE …” (John 15:13 NLT).

Whatever and whoever came before God as your “imagined” first love is NOTHING compared to his FIRST LOVE for YOU. Thus, God “IS” your FIRST LOVE.

God LOVED you FIRST. “God SO LOVED the world…” (John 3:16). He LOVED you BEFORE you were ever aware of it. “….God SHOWED HIS GREAT [first] LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT).

You DID “NOT” LOVE God, but he LOVED YOU; FIRST. “…notthat we loved God, but that he loved us...” (1 John 4:10 KJV).

God demonstrated and expressed his FIRST LOVE for you by sending his SON. “…Herein is loveGod …sent His Son to be the propitiation(substitute, intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV).

The reason God sent his son is because SIN created a barrier or chasm between you and him and he couldn’t LOVE you like he SO desired to love you. God’s eyes “…are TOO pure to look on evil…” (Habakukk 1:13 NIV). “…Your eyes are too pure to approve evil…” (Habakukk 1:13 NASB). “…You can not look on wickedness with favor…” (Habakukk 1:13 NASB).

 AND human eyes are too sinful to look upon holiness. “…Moses said, “…show me your glory … [God said,] …When my GLORY passes by, I will …cover you with my hand until I have passed by …” (Exodus 33:16-23 NIV).

His HOLiness is so PURE it is like a blinding, transparent light that is much, much too brilliant for the naked human eye. “… It shone with the GLORYof God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal” (Revelation 21:11 NIV).

As a child you were told not to look directly at the sun.  If you do happen to look at the sun with the naked, human eye, the damage to the retina is irreversible. God’s HOLinessis more brilliance than that of the sun. “… And the city had no need of the sun … for the (holiness) … of God did lighten it” (Revelation 21:23 KJV).

Looking directly at the sun damages the eyes, whereas looking at God’s HOLINESS will kill you. …You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live …” (Exodus 33:16-23 NIV).

The barrier between God and the recipients of his LOVE exists because HOLINESS can NOT and will NOT “EVER” MIX with SIN. SIN and HOLINESS SEPARATES instead; just like oil and water. “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separatedbetween you and your God (holy) …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God (who is HOLY)…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

However, God’s FIRST LOVE for you fueled him to GIVE Jesus, his son, who is like an EMULSIFIER that enables the mixture or emulsion of two unlikely substances. “…He that is joined (MIXED) unto the Lord (Jesus) is ONE spirit… [united with the HOLY God]” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).

If an emulsifier is added to oil and water it will miraculously enable them to MIX together. “…He that is joined (MIXED together) unto the Lord (Jesus) is ONE Spirit… [miraculously enabled to unite with the Holy God]” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).“…. Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

Jesus miraculously enables the HOLY God and SINFUL mankind to MIX together and become ONE [unbreakable] SPIRIT. “…What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate…” (Mark 10:9 NASB). “…Love… is the perfect BOND of unity...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB). “…He that is JOINED unto the Lord is ONE Spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…Let no one split apart what God has joined together…” (Mark 10:9 NLT).  

God’s FIRST LOVE for sinful man was FULLY expressed when he SENT his son. “…He loved usand sent his Son …”(1 John 4:10 NIV).

SENDING his SON was an act of GRACE fueled by his LOVE. Sending his SON also enabled him to be reconciled into a covenant relationship with SINFUL mankind again. “… [He sent the ] …one… who can reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

The barrier of SIN is REAL!!! It PREVENTS God’s HOLY LOVE from being FULLY expressed, or accessed, or reached. “… [Only]…onecan reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “….Apart from [the man Christ Jesus], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

God MADE a way for YOU to experience his FIRST LOVE toward you through salvation. God “….[was] …not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV). “… AS MANY as received him, to them GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, evento them that believe on his name…” (John 1:12 KJV). “…WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved...” (Romans 10:13 KJV). “…YE ARE “ALL” CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH “IN” (or dependence upon) CHRIST JESUS. …There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for YE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS…” (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV). “…God SHOWS NO FAVORITISM.  In every nation HE ACCEPTS those who fear him and do what is right. This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel—that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all…” (Acts 10:34-36 NLT). “…Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no RESPECTER OF PERSONS: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)…” (Acts 10:34-36 KJV).

 The significance and IMPORTANCE of being made HOLY is about removing the barrier so you can experience having an uninterrupted, bonding relationship with FIRST LOVE (God)! “…There is no greater love …” (John 15:13 NLT). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [REAL]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [FIRST]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [HOLY]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).  

FIRST LOVE (God) has highly expressed his love by MANY acts of GRACE. “…[He could]… not look on wickedness with favor…” (Habakukk 1:13 NASB).  “…YOUR SINS … hid his face from you … he [could]… not hear… [you] …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “… [SO He sent- through an act of GRACE - the] …one … who [could]… reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

When there is a BARRIER it separates the natural realm from the supernatural realm, it creates an impenetrable chasm. This chasm separates you from God, cuts you off from him, and he can’t even hear you. FIRST LOVE’S (God’s) holiness WON’T allow him to mix or show favor with SIN. “…You can not look on wickedness with favor…” (Habakukk 1:13 NASB). “…Your eyes are too pure to approve evil…” (Habakukk 1:13 NASB).“…Because of YOUR SINS, he … turned away and can… not listen anymore…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

HOLINESS simply can NOT bond, MIX, or be yoked together with SIN or SINNERS. The HOLY God desired to be yoked together with mankind, but SIN created a chasm. “…Be ye NOT unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV).

Remember the biblical story of the poor man and the rich man? “…The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm(barrier) has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB).

Without Jesus, there “WILL” ALWAYS remain an impenetrable BARRIER or CHASM between mankind (SIN/oil) and God (HOLY/water). However, because of FIRST LOVE’S (God’s) act of GRACE: “…There is … one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…The grace of our Lord was poured out (transferred) on [mankind]… abundantly, along with faith and love that are in Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV). “…BY GRACE have [mankind]… been saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF … [them]SELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF [FIRST LOVE]…GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Jesus - God’s GREAT act of GRACE - OPENED the way for FIRST LOVE (God) to express his love to mankind by providing a WAY for them to unite with him in a bonding and intimately connected, covenant relationship!  “…By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place…” (Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT). “Jesus saith…I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6 KJV).

“… [There is] … one… who can reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “… Apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “… [You] … can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth … [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…It is God who works in [you]… to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

Jesus’ sacrificial death was FIRST LOVE’S (God’s) act of GRACE that atoned for mankind’s sins, removed the barrier, and enabled them to receive, access, and benefit from the MANY blessings of his love. “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 2:2 NIV). “…Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV). .“…God so loved the world, that HE GAVE his only begotten (specially created) Son” (John 3:16 KJV). “...Whosoever believeth in him (depend upon him) should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). “… [There is] … one … who can reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…This is real love…” (1 John 4:10 NLT). “…God is [REAL]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…There is no greater love …” (John 15:13 NLT).

God is your FIRST LOVE.“….HE FIRST LOVED US” (1 John 4:19 ASV).  “…not that we loved God, but that he loved us andSENT HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…[God] … SPARED NOT his own Son, but DELIVEREDhim up FOR US ALL” (Romans 8:32 KJV). “God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by “SENDING” Christ to die for us WHILE we were still sinners” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “the just for the unjust, that he might BRING US to God…” (1 Peter 3:18 KJV).  “…There is no GREATER LOVE than to lay down one’s life…” (John 15:13 NLT).

“…BY GRACE … [you are] …saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “….God …now commandeth all men every where to REPENT…” (Acts 17:30 KJV). “… REPENT AND RETURN, “SO” that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB). “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV). “…BY GRACE … [you are] …saved …not of WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Therefore, “…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE spirit (or united with the HOLY God)” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). HOW? “…The Lord (the emulsifier) is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…God [sends]… forth the Spiritof His Son “INTO” [YOUR]… HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…Jesus Christ is … [NOW] … in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanseusfrom all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “… [God]… [considers]…us ACCEPTED in the beloved (Jesus Christ)” (Ephesians 1:6 KJV). Therefore, “…if Christ be in you… [then] …the Lord …[is] … in your presence (and “YOU” are in his presence)” (Romans 8:10 KJV & Exodus 33:16-23 NIV).  “… [Jesus sets]… me in [god’s] … presence forever…” (Psalms 44:12 NASB). “…YOU (God) MAKE HIM (her) “MOST” BLESSED foreverin YOUR PRESENCE…” (Psalms 21:6 NASB).

“ …[you] … have this treasure (his holy indwelling spirit)  in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us...” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV).

“… [God’s indwelling Spirit is]…for our profit, that [we] might be partakers (participants) of his holiness...” (Hebrews 12:10 KJV).  “…there is none like unto thee…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). He is “…majestic in holiness” (Exodus 15:11 KJV). “[God is] … very GREAT;[He is] … clothed in SPLENDER Covering [Him]self … with LIGHT as with a cloak…”(Psalm 104:1-2 NASB). “…there is none like unto thee” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “…His radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand…” (Habakkuk 3:4.NASB. “… His … [Holiness] … is above earth and heaven” (Psalms 148:13 NASB). “…. the whole earth is full of [your HOLY]…glory” (Isaiah 6:3).

God is your FIRST LOVE and DESIRES to EXPRESS his HOLY LOVE to YOU through his indwelling Spirit. “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…He said to [them].., "You are My Servant, Israel (HIS PEOPLE), In Whom I will show (express) My GLORY (HOLY NATURE)…” (Isaiah 49:3 NASB).

You are the recipient of God’s LOVE. He DESIRED to show you His HOLY glorious LOVE so he sent Jesus. “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “….The Word (Jesus) became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we [can see] His (God’s) GLORY  (HOLY nature)” (John 1:14 NASB).

God’s HOLY LOVE is expressed and witnessed through Jesus. “… The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God’s GLORY (HOLY nature) and the EXACT representation of his being….” (Hebrews 1:3 KJV).

God’s FIRST LOVE is generously poured into your heart through his indwelling HOLY SPIRIT, which BONDS you to him forever. “…God’s lovehas been poured out INto our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us…” (Romans 5:5 NIV). “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…[Spiritual]… Love[is]… the perfectBOND of UNITY...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB).

God's LOVE is "IN" you through the indwelling Holy Spiritwho has been given to YOU. “…God’s love has been poured out INto our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us…” (Romans 5:5 NIV).

Therefore, God’s LOVE is experienced and expressed, within you, through HIS indwelling Holy Spirit.  “ … [You] … have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the POWER may be of God, and not of us...”(2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV). “…Know ye not your own selves …that Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians KJV). “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV).

“… We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jarscontaining this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves…” (2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).

God said: “…I will put a new spirit in you (an emulsifier). …” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… inyou…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put (or MIX) you together—spirit,soul, and body” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole (HOLY)…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). NLT).

 “…Ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy…” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do nothave the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)….” (Romans 8:8-11 NLT).

FIRST LOVE’S (God’s) indwelling Holy Spirit MAKES you HOLY too!“… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “…you areA HOLY NATION…” (1 Peter 2:9 NASB). “…be holy, because I am holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).  “by the Grace of God … [you are what you are] ” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).  “…work at living a holy life, for those who are not holywill not see… [God] …” (Hebrews 12:14 NLT).

God is inherently HOLY and mankind can “ONLY” become HOLY through the emulsifier, Jesus Christ or the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…It is Godwho works IN YOU to will and TO ACT” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….Apart from [Jesus]…YOU CAN DO NOTHING…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). …May … God … WORK IN US what is pleasing to him, THROUGH Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

FIRST LOVE (God) supplies HOLINESS to his people through the INDWELLING SPIRIT. “…God will supply all [your need for holiness]…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB). “…God will generously PROVIDE (give) all you need (holiness). Then you will always have everything you need (holiness) …” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT).

HOLINESS does NOT naturally MIX with SIN. Therefore, HOLINESS is NOT SIMPLY a behavior, action, or some ideology of perfection.  It is imparted, to the believer, through the indwelling Holy Spirit. That why God can confidently say to his people: “…be holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).  “…ye shall be holyunto me: for I the Lord am holy…” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV). “…It is God who works (holiness) IN YOU ” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

Thus, HOLINESS is “NOT” something you DO. “…the Father that dwelleth in … [you], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…Godworks in you TO ACT in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).  “ … God … equip you with everything good for doing his will” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV)

HOLINESS is something you become through the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to… [HOLINESS]…”(John 3:6 NLT). “The Spirit of God dwelleth in you” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…[The holy God] …  dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

HOLINESS is something you can practice as you are empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit. “… God  … work[s] … in … [you] … what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

First love’s (God’s) HOLINESS sets, those who BELONG to him, apart for purposeful and honorable USE. Apostle Paul said“…you areA HOLY NATION…” (1 Peter 2:9 NASB).  He, himself was“….set apart for the gospel of God...” (Romans 1:1 NASB).  “…God anointed (set apart) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER…” (Acts 10:38 NIV).Thus, “…you areA HOLY  (set apart) NATION…” (1 Peter 2:9 NASB).

YOU ARE no longer dominated by the LIMITATIONS of the  sin nature UNLESS you CHOOSE to be. “…The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to [the sin nature]. …I don’t really understand myself, for I wantto [be holy] …but I don’t [allow myself to depend upon God’s indwelling Spirit]... Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is [the sinful nature]… living in me that does it.  And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to [be holy) … [which]… is right, BUT I CAN’TWho will free me from this life that is dominated by [impurity and unholiness]?” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). 

“…The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…(Romans 7:14-25 NLT).  “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed…” (John 8:36 KJV). “….Apart from [the indwelling spirit],.. [you]… can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).  

Jesus, therefore, EMPOWERS you to be Holy. He will “…strengthened [you]… with might by his Spirit in the inner man…” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV). “… [He strengthens you]…according to the POWER that worketh IN [YOU]…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “… God  … work[s] … in … [you] … what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the Father … he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

HOLINESS is the HIGHEST standard of human conduct and without the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT it would be IMPOSSIBLE for mankind to be holy on their OWN. However, “…The things which are impossible with men … [are] …POSSIBLE… [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).   “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN [YOU]… “WILL” “PERFORM” IT “UNTIL” the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV).

Remember SIN created a BARRIER between sinful man and the HOLY God. This barrier will ALWAYS cause a SEPARATION. “… And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm(barrier) has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB).

God DESIRES to express his unchanging FIRST LOVE, but you voluntarily and willful choose to accept, receive, and depend upon that love. “…I am the vine, you are the branches…” (John 15:1-11 NASB). “…abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…” (John 15:4 KJV).

God made a WAY (Jesus) to express his FIRST LOVE to YOU. It is obvious, by all he has done, like sending his son, that he DESIRED to demonstrate that FIRST LOVE too.

God’s LOVE for YOU “IS” YOUR “FIRST” love. “…HE FIRST LOVED[YOU]” (1 John 4:19 ASV). “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…There is no greater LOVE …” (John 15:13 NLT). “HE FIRST LOVED us…” (1 John 4:19 ASV).
