EVERY DAY GOD DESERVES OUR THANKS
THE EXCHANGE
“For Christ also died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust (the exchange), so that He might bring us to God...” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor (the exchange), that ye through his poverty might be rich…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).

To EXCHANGE is to give something to someone and they give you something back, or it is the act of giving something to someone and they give you something back of equal value.
In the case of God’s FAVOR; he created Jesus Christ to give his LIFE in EXCHANGE for the life of the SINNER.
Jesus literally took the sinner’s LIFE and the punishment they actually deserved (FAVOR). He willingly died for them (FAVOR). “….the Son of Man came ... TO GIVE his life as a ransom for many..." (Matthew 20:28 NIV). “...Christ also died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust..” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners...”(Romans 5:6-8 NLT). “…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).
It was an EXCHANGE of the righteous for the unrighteous, the just for the unjust, the sinless for the sinful, the Holy for the depraved, the innocent for the guilty, or the spiritual LIFE for the spiritually DEAD.
Jesus’ SUFFERINGS, upon the cross, ATONED for the offenses of sin charged against the SINNER, which meant he took their place and punishment.“…Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies (according to your FAVOR) BLOT OUT “MY” TRANSGRESSIONS (sin). WASH ME THROUGHLY FROM “MINE” INIQUITY (sin), and CLEANSE ME FROM “MY SIN.” For I acknowledge my TRANSGRESSIONS (sins): and “MY SIN” is ever before me. AGAINST THEE (God), THEE ONLY, HAVE “I SINNED” AND DONE THIS EVIL IN THY SIGHT…” (Psalms 51:1-4 KJV).
The FAVOR of his FORGIVENESS.: “…Who isa God like unto thee, that pardonethiniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth nothis anger for ever, because HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…” (Micah 7:18 KJV).
The FAVOR of his MERCY: “..O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is GOOD; for his mercy endureth for ever” (1 Chronicles…” 16:34 KJV). “…It is of the Lord's MERCIES that we are not CONSUMED, because his compassions FAIL NOT. They are NEW EVERY MORNING: great is thy faithfulness…” (Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV). “…REPENT yetherefore, and BE CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord…” (Acts 3:19 KJV).
The FAVOR of Jesus Christ: “Herein is LOVE, not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED USand sent His Son...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners”(Romans 5:6-8 NLT). “…God SO LOVED the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).
WHAT DID JESUS DO? “…Christ died for [your] SINS (CURED you by FREEING you) according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).“….the Son of Man came ... TO GIVE his life as a ransom for many..." (Matthew 20:28 NIV). “...Christ also died for sins ONCE for all (CURED you from your sin/sinful nature, by FREEING you from sin ONCE for ALL TIMES), the just for the unjust..” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB).
The FAVOR in Jesus’ DEATH: “…Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe. And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands….Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away…” (John 19:1-16 KJV).
“…And he bearing his crosswent forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him…” (John 19: 17-18 KJV).
“..After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: (those who are saved by grace through faith WILL BE “CURED” by their FREEDOM from sin through JESUS) …” (John 19:28-30 KJV).
“…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).
The FAVOR in Jesus’ willingness to EXCHANGE his life for yours: “… I lay down my life... No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. …” (John 10:17-18 KJV). He willfully “…[gave]... his lifeas a ransom for many…” (Matthew 20:28 ASV).
The FAVOR in Jesus” attitude while SUFFERING. “…Because of the JOY awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame…” (Hebrews 12:2 NLT). “…my righteous servant (Jesus) will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT). “... But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied.And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT).
The FAVOR of REDEMPTION: “…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV). Jesus willingly EXCHANGED places with the SINNER to CURE them by FREEING them from sin. “... For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT).
“... He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed...” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT).
The FAVOR “IN” Jesus’ SACRIFICE: Jesus bore the world’s SINS (which FREED you from them) by offering HIS LIFE (as the CURE). “.. Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many...” (Hebrews 9:28 KJV). “... we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all...” (Hebrews 10:10 KJV). “... Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree..” (1 Peter 2:24 KJV).
The FAVOR of God’s immutable LOVE: God “…spared not his own Son, [from suffering for our sins] but delivered him up for us all?” (Romans 8:32 KJV). “... Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation(substitute, atonement, cure, etc.) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV).
Jesus did not, personally, become a sinner or develop a sin nature, but the SINS of the world were credited to him, as though he actually committed them.
For instance, you stole the car, but Jesus takes the blame and is credited for stealing the car. In addition, he willfully takes the punishment, so you can go FREE.
Not only did Jesus experience a physical death, but he also died like a criminal. “...he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV). “...all sin is contrary to the law of God...” (1 John 3:4 NLT). “... He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross..” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT). “…[Jesus tasted] ... death for every man…” (Hebrews 3:9 KJV).
Jesus took the weight of ALL sin upon himself. He took your sins, your punishment, and God’s wrath on “your” behalf. “...he hath made him, who knew no sin...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV). God “…spared not his own Son, [from suffering for our sins] but delivered him up for us all?” (Romans 8:32 KJV).
Your sins were credited to him and his holiness was credited to you. ANYONE who accepts God’s FAVOR in Jesus’ atoning sacrifice will RECEIVE it! “… AS MANY as received him, to them GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD…” (John 1:12 KJV). “…WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved...” (Romans 10:13 KJV). “…REPENT YE, AND BELIEVE the gospel…” (Mark 1:15 KJV).
The sinner, that accepts his gesture of GRACE/FAVOR becomes righteous before God while Jesus becomes charged with their sin “...he hath made him ... who knew no sin.. [to be sin for us.]...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV).
Did Jesus actually become a sinner? No, he KNEW “NO” sin.
Sin was CREDITED to him, which means he was charged, like sinner, for sins (yours) he did not commit. “... He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross..” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT).
“... But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief ... his life is made an offering for sin...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT). “...he hath made him ... who knew no sin.. [to be sin for us.]...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV).
Jesus “KNEW” no SIN, but he was CHARGED with mankind SINS. “…all [of mankind]... have sinned…” (Romans 3:23 KJV). .“…all [of mankind] ...have ... come short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23 KJV). “…the wages of [mankind’s] sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “...the soul [of mankind]... that sinneth, it shall die...” (Ezekiel 18:4 KJV).
However, Jesus’ atoning sacrifice FREES the repentant from the penalty of sin, which is DEATH. Jesus willingly choose to be executed as a criminal, even though he was guilty of NOTHING, so your DEBT of sin could be PAID IN FULL (atoned for). “..After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished (ATONEMENT), that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith ... It is finished: …” (John 19:28-30 KJV).
“…God commendeth (expressed) his love toward us … while we were yet sinners [HOW? When] Christ DIED FOR US…” (Romans 5:8 KJV). “…YOU were dead in your sins and ... [NOW]…God made you ALIVE with Christ. He forgave [you]… all [your]… sins…” (Colossians 2:13 NIV).
“...You were dead because of your sinsand because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross...” (Colossians 2:13-14 NLT).
“...He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all...” (Isaiah 53:3-6 NLT).
All YOUR sins, all the accusation against you, all the guilt, all the wrath, all the deserved punishment for your offenses, all your rebellions, all your brokenness, and all your sorrows, hurts, or disappointments Jesus CARRIED to the cross.“... there is (NOW) no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus...” (Romans 8:1 NLT). WHY? “... He personally carried our sins (affects & consequences) in his body on the cross..” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT).
GOD’S FAVOR is clearly witnessed in his GREAT, immutable LOVE demonstrated through Jesus, who carried mankind’s sin, in HIS body, upon the cross! THE EXCHANGE: his life for yours! “... Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends...” (John 15:13 KJV). “...There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends...” (John 15:13 NLT).
Though Jesus died a physical death, as a criminal; his DEATH had a spiritual significance. God uses natural examples to help empower you to understand a spiritual truth.
The penalty for sin goes FAR BEYOND mere physical death and reveals a more SERIOUS kind of death; spiritual death. Spiritual death is SEPARATION from God, the Holy Spirit NOW and FOREVER.
Some people are still physically existing, but are spiritually dead. The restoral of spiritual life is the MOST important reason why Jesus EXCHANGED places with mankind. “...the soul that sinneth, it shall die...” (Ezekiel 18:4 KJV).“…all have sinned …” (Romans 3:23 KJV). .“…all have ... come short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23 KJV). “…the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).
In order to be SAVED from eternal death, Jesus was charged with your sinful offenses against God. He choose to willingly lay down his life, as an atoning sacrifice, and EXCHANGE places with you. “...He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV). “…without shedding of [Jesus].. blood is no remission (forgiveness of sin)...” (Hebrews 9:22 KJV).“This is my (Jesus’) blood (spiritual life) of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28 KJV).“….We have redemption through his blood (spiritual life), the forgiveness of sins…” (Ephesians 1:7 KJV).“... it is the [Jesus’] blood (spiritual LIFE) that maketh an atonement for the soul…” (Leviticus 17:11 KJV).“…Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE ... life…” (John 14 6 KJV). “…There is SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE…” (Acts 4:12a NLT).
“…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures; And …he was buried, and … rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV). “… I will bring them home again,” says the Lord….” (HOSEA 11 NLT). “...Christ also died for sins once for all,the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us [back].. to God...” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). "…Therefore REPENT AND RETURN, “SO” that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB).
Sin SEPARATES God, from mankind. When Jesus’ BORE the sins of ALL of mankind, he experienced that separation FOR YOU. Remember, “...at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34 KJV).
. “…[God, the Holy Spirit] can not look on wickedness with favor…” (Habakkuk 1:13 NASB). “…[God, the Holy Spirit’s]... eyes are too pure to approve evil…” (Habakkuk 1:13 NASB). “…Because of YOUR SINS, [God, the Holy Spirit has] … turned away …” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).“…Your INIQUITIES … separated … you and your God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).
“...[Jesus]... personally carried our sins (affects & consequences) in his body on the cross..” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT). “...at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying ...My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34 KJV).

[FOR YOU] …” (John 10:17-18 KJV). Jesus came to earth “…to giveHis life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). “... Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us (FAVORED US) and SENT His SON to be the propitiation (substitute, atonement) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…There is no greater love …” (John 15:13 NLT).
You can clearly SEE God’s FAVOR through “… the graceof our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though HE WAS [spiritually] RICH, yet for your sakes he became [spiritually] poor, that ye through his poverty might be [spiritually] RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).“… I [laid] down my life... No one [took] it from me, but I [laid] it down of my own accord (my choice). …” (John 10:17-18 KJV). “….Christ pleased not himself…” (Romans 15:3 KJV). Jesus came “…to give His life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). “…That they might have (spiritual) life … more abundantly…” (John 10:10 KJV).
Jesus went ALL “IN” to secure your SALVATION and to make the EXCHANGE, so YOU could LIVE “FREE” from the affects and penalty of SIN.“…Because of the JOY awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame…” (Hebrews 12:2 NLT). “…my righteous servant (Jesus) ...[made] ... it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he [bore]... all their sins…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT). “... But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief ... his life [was made]... an offering for sin...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT).
It COST Jesus’ EVERYTHING to become God’s FAVOR to YOU. “… the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ .. though HE WAS [spiritually] RICH, yet for your sakes he became [spiritually] poor, that ye through his poverty might be [spiritually] RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV). “... his life [was made]... an offering for sin...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT). “...Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...” (1 Timothy 1:15 NLT). “...Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him...” (Hebrews 7:25 NLT).
God’s ULTIMATE FAVOR came through JESUS: “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). “….The Word [of god] (Jesus) ...became flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14 NASB)
“…In the beginning was the Word, and the Wordwas with God, and the Word was God … (John 1:1-4 NASB). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…THE WORDS... THAT [Jesus SPOKE] ... unto you, they ARE SPIRIT …” (John 6:63 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).
“I (Jesus, the Word) and the father (God, the Holy Spirit) are one (and the same)...” (John 10:30 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in [Jesus, the Word], he (God, the Holy Spirit, himself) doeth the works (of atonement)…” (John 14:10 KJV).
“... Though he (Jesus, the Word) was God (in a human vessel),...he gave up his divine privileges[and]... he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form...” (Philippians 2:5-7 NLT). “…HE WAS [spiritually] RICH, yet for your sakes [HE]... became [spiritually] poor, that ye through his povertymight be [spiritually] RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV). “... his life [was made]... an offering for sin...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT).
“….the WORD was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV). Jesus was the WORD of GOD in an earthen vessel.
JESUS is The WORD of GOD. “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).
The WORD of God is SPIRIT. “…THE WORDS ... they ARE SPIRIT …” (John 6:63 KJV).
God is Spirit. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).
Jesus (the word) is SPIRIT too. “…The Lord is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).
God is Spirit and Jesus, the Word, is Spirit. “… I and my Father are ONE…” (John 10:30 KJV).
The words, not the human vessel, are SPIRIT. The Word of God is “NOT” human. . “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, theyARE SPIRIT …” (John 6:63 KJV). “…God is not human “…God is Spirit …Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill…” (Numbers 23:19 NIV & John 4:24 KJV).
Through, Jesus, you witness, with your OWN eyes, the POWER of the WORD of GOD in ACTION. “…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth (HOW?) with the Holy Ghost and WITH POWER…” (Acts 10:38-39 KJV).
When the WORD of GOD “SPOKE” through Jesus, the WORD ACTIVATED the confirming WORK of the Holy Spirit. “…The [Holy] ...Spirit of the Lord (the WORD) … anointed [empowered JESUS] to preach the gospel to the poor ... [empowered him] to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at libertythem that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord…” (John 4:16-21 KJV). “… [Jesus was EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit and he] went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; [BECAUSE] ...GOD [THE HOLY SPIRIT] ...WAS WITH HIM…” (Acts 10:38-39 KJV).
The credibility of Jesus, as the WORD of GOD, was solely dependent upon the WORKS “DONE” by the Holy Spirit, which was the SOURCE of Jesus, the Living Word’s POWER.
Jesus, also named the WORD of GOD, gives CREDENCE to the calling upon his life and his purpose. “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).
The VOICE of God is heard in Jesus’ every WORD. When Jesus (the Word of God) PREACHED, his WORDS had the POWER to SAVE. “… [The] Good News about Christ (or the WORD of GOD)… is the power of God at work (miraculously), saving everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…BY THE WORD of the Lord [you are SAVED through the BLOOD of the ATONEMENT]…” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).
“…All things came into being (including Jesus, the atoning sacrifice) through Him (the WORD of GOD), and apart from [the WORD of GOD] nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).
God, the Holy Spirit, literally, indwelled within Jesus and he became the ATONING SACRIFICE himself. “…the Father that dwelleth in [Jesus, the Word], he (God, the Holy Spirit, himself) doeth the works (of atonement)…” (John 14:10 KJV). “... “He (Jesus, the Word) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV). “…which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV). “…HE GAVE his only begotten (specially created) Son …” (John 3:16 KJV). ).“….The Word [of god] (Jesus) ...became flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14 NASB). “...Whosoever believeth in him (depend upon him) should not perish, but have everlasting life…” (John 3:16 KJV). “… [There is] … one … who can reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus (the word; the atonement)…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).
Jesus, the specially created, human vessel, FELT every moment of his SUFFERING. “... Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour...” (John 12:27 KJV).“…Father,… take this cup from Me; … …" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV). “…Father …not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV).
God didn’t let ANYTHING or ANYONE persuade him from going to the cross FOR YOU. “...From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead. But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. “Heaven forbid, Lord,” he said. “This will never happen to you!” Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! In addition, Jesus didn’t even let his “own” suffering STOP him from going to the cross and becoming you atoning sacrifice. “... [Nothing]…will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord…” (Romans 8:31-39 NASB). “…Because of the JOY awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame…” (Hebrews 12:2 NLT). “…my righteous servant (Jesus) ...[made] ... it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he [bore]... all their sins…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT).
For Jesus, there was no other option, but to become your SALVATION and ATONING SACRIFICE. “…For I have come down from heaven ... TO DO ...THE WILL of him who sent me…” (John 6:38 NIV). “….the Son of Man came ...TO GIVE HIS LIFE as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28).
GOD’S WORD “ALWAYS” DOES WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO! “…So shall [his]… word be that goeth forth out of [his]… mouth: it shall not return unto [him]… void, but it shall accomplish that which [God]… please[s], and it shall prosper in the thing whereto [God]… sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). “…Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made … failed; all came to pass…” (Joshua 21:45 NASB). God is “…watching over [his[… word to perform it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).
God’s immutable LOVE, clearly demonstrated through Jesus Christ, was the ULTIMATE FAVOR. Jesus could have easily took the easy way out, he didn’t have to become our atoning sacrifice. However, “...He (Jesus, the Word) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV). “…which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV).

God’s ULTIMATE FAVOR is the GREAT EXCHANGE: Jesus’ LIFE for YOURS at any COST! It caused him sorrow, “...He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death...” (Matthew 25:38 NLT). As important as Jesus is to the Gospel message, his particular message focused on “preaching the gospel of the kingdom.” “...Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people...” (Matthew 4:23 KJV).
He TAUGHT that the RULE (Kingdom) of God had come upon the earth. “...his kingdom rules over all...” (Psalm 103:19 NLT).

Water is used figuratively to represent the Holy Spirit and its cleansing power. “... The water represents, the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. Jesus had another name. “… His name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). “…THE WORDS ... they ARE SPIRIT,…”(John 6:63 KJV). “...[Jesus] ... gave up his life for [mankind, to make them] ... holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s Word (the Spirit)...” (Ephesians 5:26 KJV).

The Kingdom of God is his RULE over ALL the universe, it has COME upon the earth, it is presently active, it is within God’s people, and God, the Holy Spirit’s, complete, supreme REIGN is coming soon.
The Kingdom of God or the rule of God is witnessed in his absolute power and authority over sin and the sinful nature, the defeat of the evil one, the triumph over spiritual death.
Every, redeemed, child of God, has experienced the restoral of spiritual life. They are redeemed people and new creations, who are “RIGHT NOW, citizens of the Kingdom of God.
God, the Holy Spirit, GREATLY demonstrates his absolute power and authority (RULE), over SIN and SPIRITUAL DEATH. “...The sting of [spiritual]...death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ...” (1 Corinthians 15:56-47 NLT). “... Giving thanks unto the Father (King of kings) ...Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son...” (Colossians 1:12-13 KJV).

“ ... in the PROCESS of TIME “IT” CAME TO PASS…” (Genesis 4:3 KJV).
In the present and future “KINGDOM of GOD” God, the Holy Spirit is the supreme KING, the WORLD or universe is his territory, the REDEEMED are the citizens of the Kingdom’s territory, and the laws of government are God’s WORD or SPIRIT.
HOWEVER, “...If a man (woman) abide not in me, he (she) is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned... without me ye can do nothing (you cannot get into the kingdom of god...” (John 15:1-10 KJV). “...Thy kingdom come...” (Matthew 6:10 KJV). WHERE “...Jesus Christ ... is Lord of all. ( Kingdom citizens)..” (Acts 10:36 KJV).
Spiritual FRUIT emphasizes and PROVES the GOOD NEWS of the God’s Kingdom has come and that Jesus is truly LORD and KING over the lives and hearts of his redeemed citizens.
REDEEMED citizens DO righteous works and display spiritual fruit WHILE looking forward to the coming of and complete consummation of God’s Kingdom.

TRUST GOD AND LET HIS PROMISES RESTORE YOUR DEAD H O P E!!
IS YOUR HOPE DEAD?
“…they TOOK away the STONE from the PLACE “WHERE” the DEAD was laid…” (John 11:39-41 KJV).

I am writing this book because of the MANY who have lost their HOPE, somewhere, along the way. It is my PRAYER that God will take you BACK to the PLACE where you BURIED your HOPE so you can RETRIEVE it and RUN ON to the FINISH Line. “…loose him and let him go (run on)…” (John 11:44 KJV).
The trials and tribulations or “…this sickness…” was NOT supposed to cause the DEATH of HOPE, but it was for the “…glory of God…” (John 11:4 KJV). “…This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God…” (John 11:4 KJV). “…Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God…” (John 11:4 NLT).
Several things happened before God’s glory was manifested: Jesus’ purposeful delay; returning to the place where the DEAD was buried; rolling aside the stone at the tomb of the DEAD; listening to Jesus’ prayer; and finally, seeing the glory of God by witnessing the DEAD restored to LIFE. Also, one last thing; removing the grave clothes.
“Let us not become weary in doing good…” (Galatians 6:9 NIV).
DELAY: “…When he heard, therefore that he (Lazarus) was SICK, he abode two days in the same place where he was…” (John 11:6 KJV).
GOING BACK TO THE PLACE WHERE THE DEAD IS BURIED. “…and said ‘Where have ye laid him?’” (John 11:34 KJV).
ROLLING AWAY THE STONE. “…They took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid…” (John 11:41KJV). “…So they rolled the stone aside…” (John 11:41 NLT).
THE NECESSARY PRAYER. “…men ought ALWAYS to pray and NOT faint…” (Luke 18:1 KJV). “…Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me…” (John 11:41-42 KJV). “…And the prayer of faith SHALL save the sick (even the sin sick soul), and the Lord SHALL raise him up…” (James 5:15 KJV).
THE REMINDER. “…Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” (John 11:40 KJV).
FINALLY, THE GLORY OF GOD. “…when he thus had spoken (prayed), he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth…” (John 11:42-43 KJV).
REMOVING THE GRAVE CLOTHES. “…the dead man[‘s]…. hands and feet … [were] … bound in graveclothes …Jesus told them, “Unwrap himand let him go!” (John 11:44 NLT).
The 11th chapter of John is not simply about the physical death of Lazarus, but it is about DEATH period and how DEATH does NOT have the final SAY. “…Jesus said…I am the resurrection and I am the LIFE…..” (John 11:25 KJV).
TIME, EVENTS, and EXPERIENCES will influence you to think DEATH has won “…Jesus said…I am the resurrection...” (John 11:25 KJV). Jesus will ASK you: “…where have ye laid him?...” (John 11: 34 KJV). “…they TOOK away the STONE from the PLACE “WHERE” the DEAD was laid…” (John 11:39-41 KJV).
HOPE starts to DIE when Jesus seems DELAYED. “…When he heard, therefore that he (Lazarus) was SICK, he abode two days in the same place where he was…” (John 11:6 KJV).
Delay simply means to slow down a time of arrival, or put off, or stop moving toward a destination for a while, or linger, or prolong, or tarry. “…My Lord delayeth his coming…” (Luke 12:45 KJV).
The problem with delay happens when someone is waiting for your arrival. Delay can cause disappointment, on the part, of the people waiting for the one who is delayed, especially if it seems to be a matter of life or death.
Delay can turn seconds into minutes; minutes into hours; hours into days; days into weeks; weeks into months; and months into years. Delay is one of the BIGGEST killers of HOPE.
Delay requires waiting. “…For the vision [is] yet FOR AN APPOINTED TIME, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, WAIT FOR IT; because IT WILL SURELY COME,it will not tarry….” (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV).
“… They that WAIT UPON the LORD shall renew [their] strength…” (Isaiah 40:31 KJV). “…WAIT ON the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: WAIT, I say, on the LORD…” (Psalms 27:14 KJV). “…The LORD [is] good unto them that WAIT FOR HIM…” (Lamentations 3:25 KJV). “…THOUGH IT TARRY, WAIT FOR IT….” (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV).
YOUR HOPE CRIES OUT DURING GOD”S DELAY. “…How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?” (Psalms 13:1 NASB.
“…Since I am afflicted and needy, Let the Lord be mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God… (Psalms 40:17 NASB).
“…I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God…” (Psalms 69:3 KJV).
Delay causes you to go through unexpected events and experiences before you SEE the manifestation of God’s glory. Martha and Mary experienced Lazarus’ sickness, death, and funeral. “…Lazarus is dead…” (John 11:14 KJV).
Job experienced the loss of family, wealth, and health. “One day when Job’s ….donkeys were grazing nearby …the Sabeans attacked and made off with them.…another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and …another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeansformed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and …yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” (Job 1:13-20 NIV). . “…Satan….smote Job with boils from the sole of his feet unto his crown…” (Job 2:7 KJV).
Joseph experienced mistreatment from his brothers, being thrown into an empty, dark pit, and being sold as a slave. “…And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit ... And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it … Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt…” (Genesis 37).
The Hebrew Boys experienced controversy for standing up for their faith and being thrown into a fiery furnace. “…Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. … Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace…” (DANIEL 3).
Jesus experienced mistreatment, dishonor, and physical abuse. “Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe. And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands….Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away…”(John 19:1-16 KJV).
However, after a set period of DELAY, they ALL saw the manifestation of the Glory of God. “…After you have suffered … [or been delayed for]… a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation” (1 Peter 5:10 NLT).
“…After you have suffered...[or been delayed]… a little while…” (1 Peter 5:10 NLT). This verse implies that there will be “a little while” or a delay, but there will be an “after.” Delays, no matter how severe, are temporary and the bible says, “…the suffering …[or delays]… of this present time ARE NOT worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us…” (Romans 8:18 KJV).“…For our light affliction …[or delays], …which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…” (2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV).
PROOF: “….Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth…” (John 11:42-43 KJV). GLORY to GOD!
PROOF: “…The Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: … So Job died, being old, and FULL of days...” (Job 42:12-17 KJV). GLORY to GOD!
PROOF:“Pharaoh sent for Joseph,and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. …“ You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.”…So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” … Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt…”(Genesis 41 NIV). GLORY to GOD!
PROOF: “…Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego…. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon” (Daniel 3 KJV). GLORY TO GOD!
PROOF: Jesus is “highly exalted” with a “name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9). In addition,“…at .the name of Jesus EVERYKNEE SHOULD BOW, of things in heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11 KJV). GLORY to GOD!
However, Job, Joseph, Jesus, the Hebrew Boys, and Martha and Mary ALL had to live through and experience a DELAY. “…After YOU have suffered …[or been delayed]… a little while…” (1 Peter 5:10 NLT).
Delay is God’s decision. Delay is about God’s love for you and NOT some kind of punishment. Delay is NOT about God’s denial, condemnation, or deprivation of you or your needs. Delay has a divine purpose. Delay is meant to be a holy and intimately dependent experience with God. Delay is NOT about your will, but God’s will.
While DELAY makes people focus on what is happening on the OUTSIDE, God is focusing on the HEART. “…The LORD looks at the heart…”(1 Samuel 16:7 NASB).
God took Israel through the wilderness (trials or tribulations) for forty years. One reason he did it was to “….know what was in [their]…heart…” (Deuteronomy 8:2 KJV).
Many believers claim to be God’s people, yet have not truly turned or repented from MANY of their wicked ways. “…If My people which are called by My name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,…” (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV).
“...God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart…”(1 Samuel 16:7 NASB). God is looking at the “…hidden man of the heart…” (1 Peter 3:4 KJV). “… From within, out of the heart of man, proceed evil thoughts…these … come from within, and defile a person.” (Mark 7:21-23 KJV). God KNOWS the heart “…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked…who can know it [except God?]…” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV).
No matter how righteous or upstanding you think you have become, God will loving remind you: “….There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10 KJV). Therefore, “…Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought…” (Romans 12:3 NIV).
Job forgot “….there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not?” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV). In addition, “… there is none good but one, that is, God” (Mark 10:18 KJV).
Job had developed a whether high opinion of his righteous self-image. God used Elihu to tell Job. Elihu heard Job say, “…I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me” (Job 3:8-9 KJV). BUT, “…Elihu spake …, and said, Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?” (Job 35:1-3 KJV).
Job didn’t think his experiences were fair or just, because he was such a righteous person. God, in his sovereignty, knew Job needed some DELAYS in his life.God asked Job a question: “Have you understood the expanse of the earth? Tell me [Job], if you know ALL this..” (Job 38:18 NIV). (Job 42:3).
Job loss sight of God’s sovereignty and that his ways “…are past [our ability] to [find them] out…” (Romans 11:33 KJV). AND “…Job replied “I have declared that which I did not understand…” (Job 42).
Job had declared that, “…[his] righteousness [was].. more than God's? … [and thought], …What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?” (Job 35:1-3 KJV).
Job judged God’s “sense of justice” or “fairness” in making, an “already” righteous man, such as himself, go through such a harsh experience.
Do you agree with God’s imposed “days of adversity or delay” on Job? Are many of God’s people not judgmental of God for their negative events and experiences? “… [Job thought], What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?” (Job 35:1-3 KJV). However, “…Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall…” (Proverbs 16:18 KJV).
Job truly was blameless and upright as God said, but he still needed to experience some delays. God knew Job’s heart. God had already decided “…that all things [would] work together for good [for Job]… [because Job loved God and was called]...according to his purpose …” (Romans 8:38 KJV).
God also knew, “….He that hath suffered (through DELAYS) in the flesh hath ceased from sin…” (1 Peter 4:1 KJV).
Through his delays, Job was further enlightened about God’s truth and gained a deeper respect for God’s sovereignty. “Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.You asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’It is I—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me. You said, ‘Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.’I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance” (Job 42:1-6 NLT).
Job teaches us something about experiencing delays. “…Not [to]…think of yourself more highly than you ought…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). NOT “why me?” but, “why not me?” “…Hath not the potter power over the clay...?” (Romans 9:20-21 KJV).
No matter how righteous you THINK you have become, you have need for DELAYS.“...O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay...?” (Romans 9:20-21 KJV).
Job finally humbled himself and repented. “…[God DELAYS his coming] … for our profit, that we might be partakers (participants) of his holiness...” (Hebrews 12:10 KJV). God is pleased when we become participants in his holiness!!! “…be holy, because I am holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).
During his DELAY Job recognized the sin in his heart and confessed, “…I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance” (Job 42:1-6 NLT). As a result, “…the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: ….After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons and his sons’ sons, even four generations. So Job died, being old, and FULL of days...” (Job 42:12-17 KJV). GLORY to God!
It’s a DELAY not DEATH.
Getting back to John 11, HOPE had already died when Jesus TOOK Martha and Mary BACK to the PLACE where they BURIED it. “…the PLACE “WHERE” the DEAD was laid…” (John 11:39-41 KJV).
“…Jesus said…I am the resurrection and I am the LIFE…..” (John 11:25 KJV).
DEAD HOPE can be brought out of BURIAL CHAMBERs with a pray of faith that God HEARs. “…Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” (John 11:41-42 NLT).
DEAD HOPE can be totally revived or returned to LIFE by the COMMAND of the GOSPEL (which is JESUS, the LIVING Word). “…Lazarus COME FORTH…he that was dead came forth…” (John 11:43-43 KJV).
DEAD “HOPE” can be brought BACK to absolute spiritual health and the GRAVE CLOTHES are removed. “…He that was DEAD cameforth, bound, head and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, ‘Loose him, and let him go.’” (John 11:44 KJV).
Grave clothes represent EVERYTHING that your HOPE was bound or wrapped in such as: doubt, disappointment, what you saw, what you heard, what you lived through, what didn’t happen, what did happen, the enemies lies, the weapons the enemy formed against you, and weariness.
It is easy to see how HOPE DIES, especially with so many DELAYS, but God intends for you to make it to the FINISH LINE. “…He will keep you strongto the end…” (1 Corinthians 1:8 NLT).
Go BACK and RETRIEVE your faith. God’s knows you are weary, but don’t GIVE up! “Let us NOT become weary in doing good, for at the PROPER TIMEWE WILL REAP A HARVEST if we do not give up”…” (Galatians 6:9 NIV).
“…If God is for us, who isagainst us? …” (Romans 8:31-39 NASB). …Jesus told them, “Unwrap …[your hope]… and let [it]… go!” (John 11:44 NLT).
“…Jesus saith unto them, ‘Loose him, and let him go [or let hope go]…..’” (John 11:44 KJV).

“[God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

The Holy Spirit is the ONE SOURCE we need for ALL things and is the POWER of God. The HOLY SPIRIT manifests the works of God, performs the works of God, and empowers mankind to do the same. From the beginning, the acts of creation displayed the mighty works of the Holy Spirit. “…In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth .And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God MOVED upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:1-3 KJV).
The earth was without form, it was void, and dark, but the Holy Spirit MOVED filling it with LIGHT. Many of us, whether consciously or unconsciously, are looking to be fulfilled by something or someone. We can spend a lifetime chasing after what can never satisfy.Unfortunately, “….Human desire is NEVER SATISFIED…” (Proverbs 27:20 NLT). Until you realize only “…God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB) AND “…[Only God will]… satisfy …” (Jeremiah 31:25 NASB) – you will keep chasing.
Chasing, chasing, and chasing only to discover after many days, weeks, months, or years; “….Human desire is NEVER SATISFIED…” (Proverbs 27:20 NLT). Some will die with the unsatisfied desire in their hearts. Others will give up. There will still be others that become complacent Christian martyrs who – bless their hearts – sacrificed their desires for Christ. And finally, the fortunate few, will stop searching, because they have finally found that “ONE true SOURCE.”
The unsatisfied soul approaches life like a leech seeking whom they can suck the life from, but won’t be satisfied. "The leech has two daughters, 'Give! Give!' they cry. "There are three things that are NEVER SATISFIED, four that never say, 'Enough!'…” (Proverbs 30:15 NIV). Like a hustler on the corner with a cup, we hustle for our needs from other hustlers. Yet, “….Human desire is NEVER SATISFIED…” (Proverbs 27:20 NLT). “…No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content…” (Ecclesiastes 1:8 NLT).
Whatever is broken, dysfunctional, or unsatisfied internally cannot be made right by a “thing” or a “person.” Whatever you feel is a lacking or missing part of you cannot be recovered, fixed. or fulfilled by a “thing” or a “person.” “…What is wrong cannot be made right. What is missing cannot be recovered…” (Ecclesiastes 1:15 NLT).
When God allows you to go without or experience a period of LACK for days, weeks, months, or years…there is a reason.“…To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose …” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV).
“…the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV).
After you suffer for a while, God will “….make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you…” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV). God will perfect you by removing hindering defects that keep you for living a full, wholeness Godly life. God will establishyour heart to the point you will not be easily shaken by every unexpected situation or circumstance. God will strengthenyou so you will be able to stand against the wiles of the enemy and his forces of darkness. God will settle your heart and mind in peace, joy, love, and safety by giving you a firm, stable, solid foundation in his Word. These benefits are often gained after “…you suffer (LACK)… awhile…” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV). “…after that ye have suffered a while, [God]…make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV).

Yet, something happened “…after [he]… suffered a while…” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV). “…Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt…” (GENESIS 41).
The Hebrew Boys suffered through a LACK of religious freedom, LACK of justice, LACK of escape from the fiery furnace, and LACK of certainty whether God would rescue them. Yet, something happened “…after [they]… suffered a while…” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV). “... Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Mary and Martha suffered through a LACK of Jesus’ presence when their brother was sick, LACK of Jesus’ presence when they buried him, LACK of Jesus’ comfort after their brother died, and LACK of hope for their brother’s human life. Yet, something happened “…after [they]… suffered a while…” (1 Peter 5:8-11 KJV). “…Jesus said…I am the resurrection and I am the life…..” (John 11:25 KJV). “…..Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” (John 11:40 KJV). “…where have ye laid him?..’ (John 11:34 KJV). “And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go...”(John 11:43-44 KJV).
In EVERY single instance you clearly see Satan “…intended to harm [them]… but God intended it for good to accomplish what …[was]…done, the saving of many lives” Genesis 50:20 NIV). Their stories are still teaching us to this very day. “…For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that …through patience and comfort of the scriptures [we]…might have hope” (Romans 15:4 KJV). “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition…” (1 Corinthians 10:11 KJV).
In each story, LACK was a part of it, but each individual offers you some wisdom for keeping the FOCUS on the SOURCE during a period of LACK. “…Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame…” (Hebrews 12:2 NLT). “….Christ pleased not himself…” (Romans 15:3 KJV).Jesus said, “… I lay down my life... No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. …” (John 10:17-18 KJV). “…Father, …not My will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV).
Job said, “...though he slay me, yet will I trust in him…” (Job 13:15 KJV). “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord…” Job 1:20-22 NASB).
Joseph said, “… [It was]…intended to harm [me]… but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives…” Genesis 50:20 NIV).
The Hebrew boys said, “…“O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up…” (Daniel 3:16-18 NLT).
Mary and Martha: “…Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” “Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God…” (John 11:15-17 NLT).
Whatever the LOSS or whatever the LACK, like Jesus, they “…[entrusted themselves]… to HIM who judges justly…” (1 Peter 2:20-23 NIV). Paul said, whatever is LACKING or MISSING, “….is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus [our]… Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ” (Philippians 3:8 NLT).
However, God is SO loving and merciful, when you give up your life, especially through various losses, for his SAKE, he will replenish your sacrifices. “…‘We’ve given up everythingto follow you…” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT). And Jesus said to him, “…I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brother, sisters, mothers, children, and property – along with persecution. Listen to what God says about your LOSSES and your LACKS: “…I assure you that EVERYONE who has given up… [whatever] …for my sake and for the Good News, will receive NOW in returna hundred times as many …[whatever]…– along with persecution. When Jesus was exalted above all others, or Job was doubly blessed, or Joseph was elevated, or the Hebrews boys were promoted, or Mary and Martha received their brother back from the dead – who was the SOURCE? Does a “thing” or “person” get the credit? A RESOUNDING NO!!! “[God’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (2 Corinthians 12 NLT).
When you are expecting to receive from God - “…NOW in return a hundred times as many … [of whatever]…” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT) - NOTHING and NOONE with provide a sign or symbol for those promised blessings.
The ONLY sign and symbol that God will return untold blessings to you; IS HIS WORD!!! When you look for signs and symbols for God’s blessings, outside of his Word, you will be disappointed EVERY time. “….Don't put your confidence in … people [OR THINGS]… there is NO HELP for you there….” (Psalms 146: 3 NLT).
However, “…WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED…" (ROMANS 10:11 NASB). “…and HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT… (ROMANS 5:5 NASB). THEREFORE, “…TRUST in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…The LORD will accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB).

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH
“…Now THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH…” (NEHEMIAH 8:10 KJV).

Hopefully we have learned that JOY is God-given gladness, merriment, exultation, well-being, great delight, cheerfulness, excitement, happiness, rejoicing, or laughter OVER the GREAT things God has DONE. “…Rejoice and be glad, For the LORD has done great things…” (Joel 2:21 NASB).
People experience many of the above emotions when they hear the “GOOD NEWS” of the Gospel on Sunday mornings. “… [The]…good news that will cause great JOY for all the people…” (Luke 2:10 NIV). “…The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy…” (Psalms 126:3 NIV).
This response is called “the JOY of the Lord” which stems from the heart and comes from knowing, understanding, and being aware of, “… the … [great things] … LORD has done …” (Joel 2:21 NASB).. “…The JOYof your salvation…” (Psalms 51:12 NIV).
“…And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly REJOICE with JOY inexpressible …” (1 Peter 1:8 NASB).
STRENGTH stems from God-given JOY. God-given JOY is indwelling, supernatural POWER. “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “….Look, GOD IS ALL-POWERFUL …” (Job 36:22-33 NLT). “… There is NONE like unto thee, O LORD; thou artGREAT, and thy name isgreat in might.…”(Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “… POWER belongeth unto God...” (Psalms 62:11 NIV). “…There is NO POWER but of God: THE POWERS that be are ordained of God…” (Romans 13:1 KJV). “….[God]…changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings…” (Daniel 2:21 KJV).

SINCE “JOY” comes from ABIDING in the UNION with God through Christ, then your “STRENGTH” “IS” the Lord’s indwelling JOY, which FILLS you. “… That … “my joy” might remain in you….” (John 11:15 KJV). “…Jesus Christ (God’s JOY) IS IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…Christ in you,…” (Colossians 1:27 KJV).
Strength, therefore, comes from the JOY, who is Jesus, himself. You are STRONG because: “… [He will]…strengthened … [you] …with MIGHT by his Spirit in the inner man…” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV). “…God… works IN [you]… to will and to act …” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…God …EQUIP[s] … [YOU] with everything good for doing his will, and … work]s] … IN [you]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ,” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “… [He]… IS “ABLE” to do exceeding abundantly above all that [you]… ask or think, according to the POWER that worketh IN [YOU]…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN [YOU]“WILL” “PERFORM” IT “UNTIL” the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV). “….Apart from Me (Jesus) ..[YOU could]… do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). The SECRET of your STRENGTH is within YOU always. “… HIS SECRET is with the righteous…” (PROVERBS 3:32).
God PROMISED: “….I will give thee … HIDDEN RICHES of SECRET PLACES…” (ISAIAH 45:3). God has “… [MADE] KNOWN… [TO YOU]...the RICHES of the glory … which is Christ IN YOU…” (Colossians 1:27 KJV). “…Jesus Christ IS IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…THE SECRET of the Lordis with [YOU]…” (PROVERBS 25:14) “…Christ in you, …” (Colossians 1:27 KJV).
Therefore, Paul said: “…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want…” Philippians 4:11-12 NIV).
“…I have learned the secret …” Philippians 4:11-12 NIV). “…I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me….” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…THE SECRET of the Lord is with them that fear him…” (PROVERBS 25:14). “….The JOY of the Lord is your strength…” (Nehemiah 8:10 KJV).
Whether you are weak or strong, the indwelling Spirit of JOY supernaturally and amazingly increases the NECESSARY strengthbefitting for a child of God. “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “….Jesus Christ maketh thee WHOLE…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). It is NORMAL to grow tire and weary on the Christian journey, but feelings of fatigue, sadness, grief, deep sorrows, weakness, or reasonable doubts doesn’t STOP God’s indwelling SUPPORT. God’s “…grace [becomes] … sufficient for [you]…” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV). “…[He is] .. with you always, to the very end…"(Matthew 28:20 NIV). “…Take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when … [you are] … weak, then .. [are you] … strong..” (2 Corinthians 12:10 KJV).
“…Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we DO NOT GIVE UP…” (Galatians 6:9 NIV). God says: “… [I will] … never leave nor forsake you…” (Hebrews 13:5 KJV). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).

He is your STRENGTH, your REFUGE. …He alone is my refuge, my place of safety…For he will rescue youfrom every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover youwith his feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.… If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. …The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. God is your STRONG TOWER.“…The name of the Lord is a strong tower (REFUGE); The righteous runs into it and is safe…” (Proverbs 18:10 NASB). “…God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble…” (Psalms 46:1 NASB).
God is eternally STRONG and POWERFUL and in turn will strengthen the believer. “…It is God who works in [the weak]… to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). God causes them“…to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man…” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV). THE WEAK “…can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth … [THEM]….” (Philippians 4:13 KJV. “….Apart from [jesus], [the weak]… can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…Now may the God of peace … that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip … [the weak]… with everything good for doing his will, and may he work IN [the weak]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…according to the POWER that worketh IN [the weak]…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN [the weak]… “WILL” “PERFORM” IT “UNTIL” the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV).
On the Christian journey God allows plenty of opportunities for the believer to cry for HELP and SUPPORT and STRENGTH and COMFORT. “…So that … [they] … will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which … [they themselves] … are comforted by [God and people God sends their way]…” (2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NASB).
Some believers do NOT want to be dependent on anyone for strength, not even God. “From within, out of the heart … proceed evil thoughts… pride... All these evil things come from within...” (Mark 7:21-23 KJV). “… Everything in the world—the pride of life—comes NOT from the Father but from the world…” (1 John 2:16-17 NLT).“…The wicked, THROUGH THE PRIDE of his countenance, WILL NOT SEEK AFTER GOD: God is not in all his thoughts…” (Psalms 10:4 KJV).
God has ALWAYS warned his people against the pitfalls of pride. “…A man’s [or woman's] …pride shall bring [them] low…” (Proverbs 29:23 KJV). “…Pride [goeth] before destruction…” (Proverbs 16:18 KJV). “…if a man [or woman] …think [themselves] …to be something, when [they are]… nothing … [they] ... deceiveth [themselves]…” (Galatians 6:3 KJV). “…Let another [person].. praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips…” (Proverbs 27:2 KJV). “…Seest thou a man [or woman] …wise in [their]… own conceit? [there is] more hope of a fool than of [them]…” (Proverbs 26:12 KJV). “…Those who walk in pride [God]… is able to humble…” (Daniel 4 NIV).
In order to accept God’s strength, when needed, a man or woman voluntarily chooses to “humble themselves.” “HUMBLE YOURSELVES in the sight of the Lord…” (James 4:10 KJV). “…HUMBLE YOURSELVES therefore under the mighty hand of God…” (1 Peter 5:6 KJV). “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…” (Philippians 2:5 KJV). “…I am gentle and HUMBLE IN HEART…” (Matthew 11:29 NIV).
The believer can CHOOSE to RELY on God’s indwelling STRENGTH at ANY times. “…God is able to make all GRACE abound toward [the WEAK]; that [he or she will]… always having all sufficiency in all things…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).
“…[They]… can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [them]….” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…Apart from [Jesus, they] can do nothing….” (John 15:5 KJV). “…God will supply all [the strength they need]…”(Philippians 4:19 NASB) AND “…The LORD will [take care of]…that which concerns [them]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “….[God] careth for [them]… (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).
“…[God’s] grace is sufficient for you, for [his] power is made perfect in weakness. …” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV).

The bible says, “…And BE NOT conformed to this world: BUT BE YEtransformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God…” (Romans 12:2 KJV). Here we can clearly decipher that there is a clear distinction between being conformed and being transformed.
It is pretty obvious that the believer or follower of Christ is not to copy life patterns from the world, but aim, instead, for an higher, transformed lifestyle which is in accordance to the will of God.
To be conformed to the world is to copy life patterns from men and women who do not know Christ or the Living God of creation and are considered heathens from a biblical perspective. “…Thus saith the LORD, Learn NOTthe way of the heathen…” (Jeremiah 10:2 KJV). “…And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you…” (Ezekiel 11:12 KJV). “…I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols…” (Ezekiel 23:30).
The way to avoid copying the patterns of heathen lifestyles is to renew your mind. The mind houses all that’s in the heart, which includes evil thoughts. “… For out of the HEART come EVIL THOUGHTS—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander…” (Matthew 15:18-19 NIV). Therefore, the mind, before Christ, is basically an instrument of evil.
The bible says, “…as he [or she] thinketh in his [or her] heart, so is he [or she]…” (PROVERBS 23:7 KJV). What this verse tells you is that thoughts are in the heart thus “…thinketh IN his heart…” We’ve always understood that thoughts are associated with the mind. In addition, the thoughts are IN the heart. “…..out of the HEART come EVIL THOUGHTS—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander…” (Matthew 15:18-19 NIV). The thoughts, from your mind, are IN the heart.
The renewed mind, after salvation in Christ, is to become an instrument of righteousness influenced by the Holy Spirit and thus making you able to make choices based on what the will of God is in order to behave accordingly.
The renewed mind will reveal behavioral actions for the believer that proves God’s will and what God considers a good and acceptable lifestyle. The acceptable lifestyle is the perceptive part of Christianity. It is what makes you a true Witness for Christ like Christ was for God.
A heathen lifestyle will always, no matter how big or small, be in opposition to God’s will for your life. "…A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough…" (Galatians 5:9 NIV). A holy lifestyle is all that will be acceptable with God and no other. God does not endorse straddling the fence, where you are part-time heathen and part-time believer. "… You must purge the evil from among you…” (Deuteronomy 21:18-21 NIV). God is ONLY pleased when his people live holy and separate themselves from all forms or appearances of wickedness. “…Abstain from all APPEARANCE OF EVIL…” (1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV).
When the word says be NOT conformed it is not an option. “…Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “…And do not touch what is unclean…” (2 Corinthians 6:13-17 NASB). It literally means NOT to copy, in any form or fashion, the heathen lifestyle.
This includes habits, fashion patterns, behaviors, actions, practices, or speech. Whatever the current, wicked and idolatrous culture and age; do not conform to it. “…ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. …” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV).
God wants his people to be influenced and governed by the biblical lifestyle and pattern their lives after the example of Jesus Christ. Many believers think they are NOT conformed to the heathen lifestyle and are in fact transformed from it, but either consciously or unconsciously they are indulging in many of its patterns and practices. “…thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and …art polluted with their idols…” (Ezekiel 23:30).
Most non-believers, especially from the 21stcentury, find so-called followers of Christ to be hypocritical and are turned off from Christianity. Some believers still cherish patterns of thinking and practices from the heathen lifestyle. “….These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me…” (Matthew 15:8 NLT).
Their mind is still devoted to some aspects of the heathen lifestyle and they either secretly or overtly follow carnal pleasures whether than aim at wholly cultivating the biblical lifestyle. “.. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:16-17 NLT). A little sinful thinking is still some sinful thinking and some sinful thinking is too much.
Therefore, the one solution to this problem is to transform the mind by renewing it in order to cultivate a spirit of holiness and holy living in the world. Believers are to influence the heathen lifestyle; not the other way around. “…LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE before men, that they may see your good works…” (Matthew 5:16 KJV), “…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven…” (Matthew 5:16 KJV).
Renewing the mind will result in a change of heart, affections, emotion, lifestyle patterns, and other heathen practices. “…In this world we are like Jesus…” (1 John 4:17 NIV). In reality the believer is a new creation. “…Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
Without renewing the mind the believer would be useless to the Christian lifestyle and would most likely be full of hypocrisy. “….apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness… ” (Matthew 23:27 KJV).
Being full of hypocrisy is the result of a continual conformity to the world and limited to external conduct and habits NOT impacted by transformation that comes ONLY from REnewing the mind. “…thou …art polluted with their idols…” (Ezekiel 23:30).
Whatever your mindset is you are proving to those witnessing your lifestyle who’s WILL you are choosing to follow. Only a wholly devotion to renewing the mind will prove you are God’s disciples. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
A divided mind, still embracing the heathen patterns of thinking is, unfortunately, unsuitable for truly demonstrating the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God.“…A double minded man is unstable in all his ways…” (James 1:8 KJV).
The whole mind is renewed for the purpose of doing the will of God and it is the renewed mind that is suitable for truly demonstrating the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God. “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).
The renewed mind that is enabled to do the will of God is proved through one’s conduct. The renewed mind that seeks God’s guidance in all matters of life will commit their actions to him. The renewed mind that wants to demonstrate God’s good, perfect, and acceptable will aims to promote God’s honor and glory in the world. "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).
The effort that goes into renewing the mind is for the purposes of allowing God to remove the defects and stains of sin from the former heathen lifestyle. “Create in me a clean heart, O God…” (Psalms 51:10 KJV). The heart “…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked…who can know it [except God?]” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV).
The EFFORT, on the part of God's people, is to willfully and voluntarily CHOOSE, by faith, to trust and depend upon God's WORD or "not". God's WORD says if you RENEW your mind; you will become TRANSFORMED in your conduct. YOU CHOOSE!
This effort is pleasing to God, because it also influences holiness and separation from sin, which ultimately honors and glorifies God in the world. . "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so PROVE to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV). Therefore, “…BE YE transformedby the renewing of your mind, that ye may PROVEwhat is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God…” (Romans 12:2 KJV).

MADE ONE SPIRIT, WITH GOD, THROUGH JESUS, BUT INTIMACY COMES THROUGH CHOICE
YOU ARE ALREADY ATTACHED, BUT DO YOU WANT TO BE INTIMATE WITH GOD?
"…ONE SPIRIT...?" (John 5:6 MSG).

I like to start my books out with some food for thought. If you are reading this book I assumed you desire to experience a deeper intimacy with God and other love ones in your life. What is this intimacy? Let’s get sex out of the way.
Sex is not the intimacy that lasts or matters most. It is an act of intimacy; that was meant to express the intercourse that has already taken place; between two hearts. True love allows intimacy to develop in the heart first and is why real lovers wait for the proper time to engage in sex.
When intimacy is developed in the heart, first, love will be easier to maintain in the long run of the relationship. The bible doesn’t have you sustain from sexual pleasure, pre-marriage, as a punishment, but so you don’t miss out on what truly matters in the area of intimacy: two hearts becoming one, not simple two physical bodies.
If you shape your experience of intimacy around the act; you will find intimacy limited to that act. However, if you shape your intimacy around the intercourse of two hearts, it will outlast the act, which will eventually alter with age anyway.
No matter who you are, no matter how good you are sexually, no matter how liberal you are in engaging in the sexual act – you will come looking for real intimacy one day.
So let the “one spirit’ attachment to God teach you and train you in regard to what real intimacy is while the spring still blossoms in May “…He(she) that is joined unto the LORD is ONE SPIRIT…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).
For when the winter comes and it will; the heart may be too tattered or hardened by the “act” to know real heartfelt intimacy. The human heart may not be able to find heart-to-heart intimacy, or even recognize it staring right in one’s face.
Even deeper, is the intimacy that happens between the soul and the Spirit (God and you through Christ), not two bodies. If you are “one spirit” with God, you are already intimate with Him, but you may not be experiencing the depth of that intimacy.
Let me give you a quick analogy. If God wanted to make a cake, he would mix flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and so forth together. Once those items are mixed or joined together; they cannot be unmixed or un-joined. They are NOW one.
Those ingredients are forever attached and together they have become something altogether different: a cake. Those who are joined with God through the Lord are forever attached to Him and thus have become altogether different “in” Christ’ a NEW CREATION.
Those who are joined to God through the Lord are “one spirit” with Him; an intimacy with God that literally transforms an individual completely “…He (she) that is joined unto the LORD is ONE SPIRIT…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).“…Therefore if any man(woman) be in Christ (one spirit), he (she) is a NEW creature: …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
“…God’s (Holy) Spiritdwells inyou?...” (1 Corinthians 3:16 NASB). God says: “… I AM HOLY..” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “...Therefore if any man(woman) be in Christ, he(she) is a new creature...” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “...old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new...” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
“…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body),and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man becamea living soul (soul)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV).
God said: “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he (God, the Holy Spirit) them…”(Genesis 1:27 KJV). “...and ...[God, the Holy Spirit]....breathed into his(her) nostrils the breath of life (His “own” Spirit)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).
“...and man (woman) became a living soul…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV). Being attached to God is a HOLY covenant, form of intimacy, that BINDS, together, the soul and SPIRIT.
In addition, intimacy with God is TRANSFORMING. You become “...one spirit...” with God. You become a “...new creation...” in Christ. You become a “...a living soul...” You become “...whole” again (body, soul, and Spirit).
“…May God himself, … make you holy and whole, put you together … [again]—spirit,soul, and body…” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).
The original God IMAGE returns. In Genesis God said: “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he (God, the Holy Spirit) them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “...and ...[God, the Holy Spirit]....breathed into his(her) nostrils the breath of life (His “own” Spirit)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “...and man (woman) became a living soul…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).
In the New Testament: “…[God]…sent His Son...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “… [He sent the] …one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). God said: “…I will put a new spirit “in” you …” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT).
SO, “…God … sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “...Therefore if any man(woman) be in Christ, he(she) is a new creature...” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
“…He (she) that is joined unto the LORD is ONE SPIRIT…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).
“…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE …” (John 3:6 NLT). “….Apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole…” (Acts 9:34 KJV).
Intimacy with God is not about his knowledge of you or your knowledge of him. He KNOWS “everything” about you and you may know a lot about him.
“... O Lord, You have searched me and known me.You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue. Behold, O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is toohigh, I cannot attain to it. Where can I go from Your Spirit?Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Accepting salvation in Christ is similar to accepting a person’s marriage proposal. God chose you to be “IN” a holy covenant (intimate) relationship with him, personally. If you accepted his invitation, spiritual intimacy begins.
In the Old Testament: “...[God, the Holy Spirit]....breathed into his(her) nostrils the breath of life (His “own” Spirit)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “...and man (woman) became a living soul…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

Knowledge helps you know ABOUT something or someone. INTIMACY helps you “KNOW” something or someone. Knowledge is information, intimacy is experience.
“…God … sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). God has put himself in the place (your heart) where intimacy, with him, can begin. “…He that is joined unto the LORD is ONE SPIRIT (with God)…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…God’s Spiritdwells inyou?...” (1 Corinthians 3:16 NASB).
God’s indwelling Holy Spirit is proof that you are already ATTACHED to God. “…Jesus Christ IS IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…God has given [you] HIS [holy] Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you].” (1 John 4:13 NLT).
So the question to you is “Do you want to be intimate with Him?” If the answer is yes, then it is time to move beyond, simply, knowing about God to experiencing God through his presence, his goodness, and his power. “And this is life eternal, that they might know [be intimate with] thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3 KJV).
By getting to “know” God, through experience, you will begin to SEE, for yourself, his glory (presence, goodness, and power) working in and through your OWN life.

For God’s people the GOVERNING AUTHORITY is the LIVING WORD of God, Jesus, who is designated as KING of kings, LORD of lords, and PRESIDENT of presidents. “… His name (Jesus Christ) is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). “… Jesus (the WORD of GOD) …came and SPAKE, unto them saying, “All POWER is given unto me IN heaven and earth…” (Matthew 28:18 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit, GOVERNS the Kingdom of Heaven and its citizens, which means HE is in charge of the government of that Kingdom. “...For to us a child is born, to us a son (God’s LIVING WORD) is given, and the government will be on his shoulders And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace...” (Isaiah 9:6 NIV).
God, the Holy Spirit is also responsible for making laws for the citizens, managing their OVERALL well-being in all domains, and controls the supplying of their community of needs. God’s people are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. “...the government will be on his shoulders...” (Isaiah 9:6 NIV). “…[God’s people]... are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. [They]... are members of God’s family. …” (Ephesians 2:19-20 NLT). “...[their]... citizenship is in heaven...” (Philippians 3:20 NIV). “...you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household...” (Ephesians 2:19 NASB).

God, the Holy Spirit, through Jesus, his LIVING WORD takes upon himself the ROLE of KINGLY LEADER to his people, the citizens of HIS Kingdom.
Jesus, the LIVING WORD, was SENT into the hearts of God’s people to SEAT on the throne and RULE over them. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God has sent forth the Spirit of [HIS WORD]... into [the]...hearts...[of his people]...”(Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…The Spirit of God dwelleth in [his people]...” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “ …[God’s people]…have this treasure...[Jesus, his WORD in their]…earthen vessel(which God sent into their hearts)...” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV). “… [Jesus’ other] name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).
“…God hath said, I will dwell in [my people], and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people...” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV).
Thus, God establishes the governing authority, through HIS WORD, for the CONDUCT of his citizens. “...For to us a child is born, to us a son (God’s LIVING WORD) is given, and the government will be on his shoulders And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace...” (Isaiah 9:6 NIV). “...God, the blessed and ONLY RULER, the King of kings and Lord of lords ... To him be honor and might forever. Amen...” (1 Timothy 3:13-16 NIV).
From the beginning of creation, God administered “governing authorities” that were meant to GOVERN behavior and they were policies established by God’s HOLY LAWS (HIS WORD). “…In the beginning was the Word (established authority), and the Word (established authority) was with God (the holy spirit), and the Word (established authority) was God (the holy spirit). He (Jesus, his LIVING Word and established authority) was in the beginning with God (the Holy Spirit). All things came into being through [the established authority], and apart from [the established authority] nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB)
God was ALWAYS and STILL IS the governing RULE over “HIS” people. God’s people are part of HIS KINGDOM and the “governing authorities” are HIS WORD. “...He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness, His ruling authority (his WORD) will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He’ll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom. He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going With fair dealing and right living, beginning now and lasting always. The zeal of God-of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this...” (Isaiah 9:6 MSG).
The Kingdom of God is RULED by God, the Holy Spirit, whose POWER is NOT limited by human laws or restrictions made by mankind or those chosen and put into positions of authority through an election by the populace. “...his kingdom ruleth over all...” (Psalms 103:19 KJV). “...[Jesus] went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing (revealing) the glad tidings (good news) of the kingdom of God...” (Luke 8:1 KJV).
Jesus, God’s LIVING WORD and “governing authority”, established and announced the Kingdom of God had come to earth. “...the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing...” (Luke 9:11 KJV). “...And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed...” (Mark 6:56 KJV). “...Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there...” (Matthew 19:2 KJV). “...the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all...” (Luke 6:19 KJV).
“... The word of God spread....” (Acts 6:7 NIV). “... the word of God continued to spread and flourish...” (Acts 12:24 NIV). “... So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed...” (Act 12:20 KJV). “...God’s word [was un]chained...” (1 Timothy 2:9 NIV). “... the word of God [was un]bound...” (1 Timothy 2:9 KJV).
Most people, including God’s people, have come to believe that “governing authorities” are merely human beings who are part of political parties, or organization, or other entities who have been PUT into man-made POSITIONS of authority to govern temporarily.
God, the “governing authority” told King Nebuchadnezzar, the mere man - who was PUT into a temporary POSITION of authority- THIS:“…Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue…” (Daniels 4 NLT).
Nebuchadnezzar DIDN’T listen. .“...God, the blessed and ONLY RULER, the King of kings and Lord of lords ... To him be honor and might forever. Amen...” (1 Timothy 3:13-16 NIV).:
SO “...This is what is decreed (by God’s Word & governing authority) for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. …” (Daniel 4 NLT).
“… Immediately what had been said (through God’s Word & governing authority) about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled …” (Daniel 4 NLT).
God’s people know the devil ONLY comes to STEAL, kill, and destroy, so it’s no surprise that his has STOLEN the concept of “governing authorities” and reduced it to MERE flesh. “…The thief cometh not, but to STEAL, and to KILL, and to DESTROY…” (John 10:10 KJV). “… ONE sinner (the devil) destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD…”(Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).
Because Apostle Paul in Romans 13 tells God’s people that “governing authorities” were God’s idea and established by HIM. However, they, like everybody else, SEE the “governing authority” as a MERE human being and NOT God, the Holy Spirit’s, WORD.
“...Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God...” (Romans 13:1 NIV).
“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). God is the Holy Spirit. He told HIS people: “…ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lordam holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. …” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV).

Jesus, the Word said: “… I and my Father are ONE (Jesus and God’s were the SAME)…” (John 10:30 KJV). Jesus also said: “…All authority has been given to [HIM, God’s WORD)in heaven and on earth … [therefore,] the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth [submit to HIS WORD (the governing authority) too] …” (Matthew 28:18 NASB & Daniel 4 NLT).
From the beginning God GAVE mankind his “governing authority” to assist in GOVERNING righteous and holy behavior. The “governing authority” was NOT a human being, but it was God’s HOLY STANDARDS for mankind’s CONDUCT upon earth.
The WORD of GOD was the “governing authority.” God, the Holy Spirit GAVE the first LAW ever! “…of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: BUT of the tree of the knowledge of good and evilTHOU SHALT NOT EAT OF IT …[or] … thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).
God’ standard of holy and righteous behavior was NOT to eat of the” tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” They were to SUBMIT, by choice, to the “governing authority,” because God had established the holy law and it existed because HE had established it! “...All things (governing authorities) came into being through [God, the Holy Spirit’s, established authority], and apart from [the established authority] nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).
The Hebrew Boys were perfect examples of submitting to the “governing authority,” which is God’s WORD and NOT to those who were merely PUT into temporary POSITIONS of authority
God’s WORD, the “governing authority” in the LIVES of the Hebrew Boys SAID THIS: “...Thou shalt have no other gods before me...” (Exodus 20:1-4 KJV). “...Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth...” (Exodus 20:1-4 KJV).
The MERE human who was PUT in a temporary POSITION of authority REQUIRED THIS of the Hebrew Boys: “...Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?...” (Daniel 3:13-19 KJV).
The Hebrew Boys’ conduct was GOVERNED by the “governing authority” of God’s HOLY LAWS (his WORD) and answered: “...Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up...” (Daniel 3:13-19 KJV).
TO THE APOSTLES IT WAS SAID: “...We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God [and his Word (his governing authority)]... rather than human beings! The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross...” (Acts 5:28-30 NIV). “...Peter and the apostles answered, “It’s necessary to obey God rather than men. The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, the One you killed by hanging him on a cross. God set him on high at his side, Prince and Savior, to give Israel the gift of a changed life and sins forgiven. And we are witnesses to these things. The Holy Spirit, whom God gives to those who obey him, corroborates every detail...” (Acts 5:30-32 MSG).
Therefore, “...Let everyone (of God’s people) be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God...” (Romans 13:1 NIV).
“…[ALL] power belongs to God (not humans)…” (Psalms 62:11 NASB).
“...Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves...” (Romans 13:2 NIV). According to bible scholars there are over 600+ laws of God in the Old Testament, which include the ten commandments and the Mosiac laws.

God,the Holy Spirit, instituted laws that instructed his people on HOW to GOVERN themselves in life and worship. Most of God’s people DIDN’T listen.

God, the Holy Spirit, put Adam in “…a deep sleep... [took] one of his ribs...[made him] a [physical] woman, and … [bought] her [to him]” (Genesis 2:21-22 KJV). “…So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place…” (Genesis 2:21 NASB). “…The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man…” (Genesis 2:22 NASB).

God, not Adam said it was NOT GOOD for man to be alone. It was God, not Adam who MADE him a suitable companion. “…Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man…” (1 Corinthians 11:9 KJV). “…For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man…” (1 Corinthians 11:8 KJV). “…For Adam was first formed, then Eve…” (1 Timothy 2:13 KJV).
Two REASONS stand out as WHY God created Eve. He said it wasn’t GOOD for Adam to be ALONE and he needed a SUITABLE HELPER. SO, “…the LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man…” (Genesis 2:22 NASB).
“….God saw everything he had made……and, behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV). However, God said: “…It is not good that the man should be alone…” (Genesis 2:18 KJV).
In the spiritual realm GOOD is equivalent with God. There is NONE GOOD, but GOD, the Holy Spirit. “… there is none good but one, that is, God...” (Mark 10:18 KJV). So can we say: “…It is not good (godly) that the man should BE ALONE…” (Genesis 2:18 KJV).
Adam had LIFE and LIVING creatures ALL around him and he was communing with God, the Holy Spirit.
There was NO indication or implication that Adam felt ALONE since God was his companion, but God, the Holy Spirit is omniscient.
Research shows that ALONE can also be translated to mean “separated” or “segregated” from. God KNEW that even though Adam wasn’t alone yet, he would be. “…Your INIQUITIES (sins) … [can separate] … you and your [spiritual companion]... God [the Holy Spirit]…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).
Adam and Eve were both originally CREATED WHOLE (body, soul, and God’s Spirit (the breath of life)). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit);and man became a living soul (soul)…”(GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, [said] … it was VERY GOOD…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).
Then SIN separated them from God, the HOLY SPIRIT leaving them ALONE without HIM. “...Wherefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and (spiritual) death (alone, separated from God) through sin, and so (spiritual) death (alone, separated from God) passed to all men, for that all sinned (all are born alone without the HOLY SPIRIT)—“(Romans 5:12 KJV). “...For all have sinnedand fall short of the glory (presence) of God” (Romans 3:23 KJV).
People FEEL physically ALONE with someone dies, leaves, divorces them, or gets a long-term illness, but spiritual ALONENESS is death. “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV).
Adam and Eve died, but it was not a physical death where the soul is separated from the body, but it was a spiritual death where the soul is separated from the “Holy Spirit” within the body. They and their descendants were LEFT ALONE without God.
When someone’s physical presence is GONE, we miss them, but keep on living physically. But when God’s spiritual presence is GONE, we usually don’t miss him, but keep living physically while being spiritually dead.
Being LEFT ALONE physically makes the separation extremely HARD to endure, but being LEFT ALONE spiritually is WORST!
“…It is not good that the man should be alone…” (Genesis 2:18 KJV). “…I will make …a helpmeet for him”…” (Genesis 2:18 KJV).
HOWEVER, the Holy Spirit says: “… I am God, and there is none else… I am God, and there is none like me…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV). “… there is NONE like unto thee, O LORD; thou artgreat, and thy name isgreat in might.…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “… there is none good but one, that is, God” (Mark 10:18 KJV).

People LEAVE us ALONE PHYSICALLY all the time, but if you have God, the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT, you are NEVER alone.

GOD'S WORDS ARE SPIRIT; NOT MANKIND'S LANGUAGES

GOD’S WORD IS SPIRIT AND NOT HUMAN TRANSLATIONS, VERSIONS, AND LANGUAGES.
“…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV) “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).

Translations and versions of the BIBLE serve the purposes of providing a VOICE, OUTLET, or CONDUIT for God’s WORD. The BIBLE has been recorded in different languages and offers people a clearer revelation of who God is throughout the WORLD.
When the WORD came through earthen vessels it ALWAYS spoke in the language of the people that God sent his MESSAGES to.
There is an ongoing debate over the proper, or the better, or the more authentic, or the best translation or version of the bible.
The importance of the BIBLE is “NOT” the human debate over the better or most authentic, human translation or version.
The most important purpose of the BIBLE is God’s MESSAGE and its miraculously ability to sustain God’s POWERFUL WORDS which are SPIRIT as well as HOLY. “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).
It is the HOLY SPIRIT that gives LIFE. It is the SPIRIT of his WORD that has the POWER to SAVE and TRANSFORM lives. It is the SPIRIT of the WORD that transforms the human life and the human mind.
No matter how great human translators are or how careful they try to keep the authenticity of the biblical text, without God, it would be impossible! “….Apart from Me (God, the Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…our great power is from God…” (2 Corinthians 4:5-7 NLT).
“…NOT that [you]… are ADEQUATE IN [YOURSELVES]… to consider anything as coming from [yourselves]… but [YOUR]… ADEQUACY IS FROM GOD…” (2 Corinthians 3:5 NASB). “…Human effort [alone]… accomplishes nothing.” (John 6:63 NLT). “…the flesh profiteth NOTHING…” (John 6:63 KJV “….THE WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT,…” (John 6:63 KJV).
“…It is… GOD WHO “DOES” THE WORK IN AND THROUGH all of us who are his. The Holy Spirit “displays” God’s power THROUGH each of us…” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).
It is God, the HOLY SPIRIT, ALONE that SUSTAINS the ANOINTING POWER inherent in the WORD. AND regardless of flawed humanity and the various translations and versions of the bible; its POWER is FROM God! “…our great power is from God…” (2 Corinthians 4:5-7 NLT).
It is NOT too hard for God, the HOLY SPIRIT, to SUSTAIN the anointing POWER of his WORD; nor is it IMPOSSIBLE! “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). “…The things which are impossible with men … [are]… POSSIBLE [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV). “…he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…In him ALL THINGS …hold together…” (Colossians 1:7 NIV).
The MIRACLE in having multiple translations and versions of the BIBLE is NOT in the human effort to sustain the best translation or version. “…In him ALL THINGS …hold together…” (Colossians 1:7 NIV).
The MIRACLE of having multiple translations and versions of BIBLE is God’s ANOINTING POWER to continue to SPEAK, in spite of human flaws and weaknesses and SUSTAIN his POWER to SAVE and TRANSFORM lives “…The things which are impossible with men … [are]… POSSIBLE [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).
The SOVEREIGN God manages to SPEAK his WORD through these translations, versions, and languages with enough SUSTAINING POWER to SAVE and TRANSFORM. “…he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV
If you DEPENDED upon a WORD from God to SAVE you and if you depended upon a WORD from God that also filled you with the INDWELLING Holy SPIRIT; God has PROVED the SUSTAINING POWER of his WORD. Therefore, NOTHING is “too hard” for God’s POWER. “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).
Thus, you can DEPEND UPON the indwelling Holy Spirit to LEAD and GUIDE you into the truth! “… The Spirit of truth (the WORD) …will guide you into all the truth. …” (John 16:13 NIV). “…BY THE WORD of the Lord … [GOD GUIDES HIS PEOPLE] …” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).
Nonetheless, there are multiple translations and versions that create conflict and division among God’s people, but God is a God of order NOT confusion. “…God is not a God of disorder but of peace…” (1 Corinthians 14:33 NIV). “…Let all things be done decently and in order….” (1 Corinthians 14:40 KJV).
God WANTS mankind to KNOW him. God WANTS to, particularly, REVEAL himself to his people. Remember, the WORD drew you to God through love and kindness. “… I … WILL DRAW all men unto me…” (John 12:32 KJV). “…I have drawn youwith unfailing kindness…” (Jeremiah 3:13 NIV). “… I … [love] you with an everlasting love…I …[draw]… you with lovingkindness…” (Jeremiah 31:3 NASB).
The controversy and issues over translations and versions is a human problem that has caused division in God’s churches for years and years. “… [Everyone] … who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. [They]…are [ALL]… part of the same body, and enjoy the promise of blessings because THEY BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS…” (Ephesians 3:6 NLT). “……There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female…” (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV). “…God SHOWS NO FAVORITISM. In every nationHE ACCEPTS thosewho fear him and do what is right…” (Acts 10:34-36 NLT). “…God is no RESPECTER OF PERSONS: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him…(Acts 10:34-36 KJV).
Search, investigate, inquire, study, and depend upon the indwelling Holy Spiritto help you discover a translation or version that SPEAKS to YOU. “… The Spirit of truth (the indwelling Holy Spirit) …will guide you into all the truth. …” (John 16:13 NIV). “…let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. …” (Galatians 5 NLT).
One of the translations or versions WILL SPEAK to your indwelling SPIRIT. God WORKS providentially to SUSTAIN and HOLD together HIS SALVATION and TRANSFORMING message. “…In him ALL THINGS …hold together…” (Colossians 1:7 NIV). “… [God is]…sustaining ALL THINGS… by his powerful word…” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV).
The BIBLE, therefore, that is RIGHT for you will DRAW you CLOSER to God and you will BECOME loving like God (1 Corinthians 13). “…Every one that loveth (others and themselves) is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not (others or themselves) knoweth not God; for God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV).
BECOMING loving is a SIGN (the fruit of the SPIRIT is LOVE) that YOU ARE getting to KNOW GOD. “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).
Godly LOVE is a SIGN you ARE BECOMING A true disciple that is GROWING and DEVELOPING in God’s GRACE and KNOWLEDGE (with inherent SPIRIT and POWER). “…A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another…” (John 13:34-35 KJV). “…Beloved, let us love one another (including yourself): for love is of God; and every one that loveth (others and themselves) is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not (others or themselves) knoweth not God; for God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV).
“….THE WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, and theyare life…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…MY WORD …shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV).
DESPITE the many translations or versions of the bible God’s true WORD is “STILL” and always will be…SPIRIT!! “….THE WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… The Spirit of truth …will guide you into all the truth. …” (John 16:13 NIV). “…Thy WORD is truth…” (JOHN 17:17 KJV).
You can be CONFIDENT that GOD’S WORD is TRUTH and it WILL accomplish its PURPOSES; such as SAVING and TRANSFORMING! “…MY WORD …shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV).
God PROMISES you that if you SEEK him you will FIND HIM and find his directions for your life. “…ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart…” (Jeremiah 29:13 KJV). “…If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me…” (Jeremiah 29:13 NLT). “…I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye…” (Psalms 32:8 KJV).
“Trust in (depend upon) the Lord with all thine heart; and LEAN NOT unto thine own understanding…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into [the human]… heart … the things which God hath prepared for [those who depend upon his guidance]....” (1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV). Some of “…his ways [of guiding, his people, are]… past finding out…” (Romans 11:33-34 KJV).
He will lead and guide you into ALL TRUTH and the right translation and version of the BIBLE. TRUST and DEPEND upon God. the INDWELLING SPIRIT. “… The Spirit of truth (the indwelling Spirit) …will guide you into all the truth. …” (John 16:13 NIV). “…BY THE WORD of the Lord … [GOD GUIDES HIS PEOPLE] …” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).“…All things (revelation and knowledge of God) came into being through [THE WORD], and apart from [the word] nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).
Remember THE WORD of God is not just the WRITTEN word, but ALSO the LIVING WORD which is INSIDE you. (through the indwelling Holy SPIRIT). “…It is God (the indwelling spirit) who works in you…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…The God of peace … that great Shepherd of the sheep, … work[s] in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ (the word)…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…I can do all things through Christ (the word) which strengtheneth me…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).
Thus, the INDWELLING Holy Spirit is there to guide you. “…let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. …” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…“I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.…” (Psalms 32:8 KJV). “…God is [the HOLY] Spirit…” (John 4:24 KJV).“…the [HOLY] … Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).Therefore, “… the Lord your God, …teaches you what is best for you, [and]…directs you in the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17). “I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will fix My eyes upon You…” (Psalm 32:8)
“…I have shown you how you should find the way in which you should walk…” (Isaiah 48:17). “…So I say, let the [indwelling] Holy Spirit guide your lives. … …” (Galatians 5 NLT).
There will ALWAYS be multiple translations, versions, different languages, diverse opinions, and endless interpretations of the bible, but there will ALWAYS and ONLY be “ONE” God and HOLY SPIRIT. “…There is ONE … God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all,and in you all….” (Ephesians 4:4-5 KJV). “… There is but one God…” (1 Corinthians 8:6 KJV). “….The LORD is our GOD, the LORD is ONE…” (Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV). “…There is no God, but ONE…” (1 Corinthians 8:4 KJV).
Most of God’s people PREFER to be DIVIDED by their DIFFERENCES instead of being UNITED by WHAT and WHO matters MOST: Jesus, the WORD.
DIVISION is about the FLESH and UNITY is about the HOLY SPIRIT.
DIVISION, for one reason or another, is the reason there are so many different churches
UNITY, of God’s SPIRIT, bonds by love, connects through the HOLY SPIRIT, and shares purpose through Jesus Christ. “…Love… is the perfect BOND of unity...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB). “…He that is JOINED unto the Lord is ONE Spirit…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).
It is important, but NOT as important to agree on translations and versions as much as it is to agree on LOVE and UNITY. “…LOVE one another, even as I have loved you…” (John 13:34-35 KJV)."…In everything, therefore, TREAT people the same way you want them to TREAT you, for this is the Law and the Prophets…” (Matthew 7:12 NASB).
TRANSLATIONS VERSIONS, LANGUAGES, INTERPRETATIONS, CULTURES, and INTELLECTUALISM have become CHASMS and BARRIERS between God’s OWN people.
God’s OWN people FAIL to remember there was ONCE an impenetrable CHASM and BARRIER between themselves (sinful mankind) and GOD (Holy Spirit). Yet God’s LOVE made a WAY to REMOVE the DIVISION instead of sustaining it. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). . “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separated between you and your God (holy) …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God (who is HOLY)…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT). “…between us and you a great chasm(barrier) has been set in place…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB
“…what fellowship (COMMON GROUND) hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion (COMMON GROUND) hath light with darkness? And what concord (COMMON GROUND) hath Christ with Belial? Or what part (COMMON GROUND) hath he that believeth with an infidel?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV).
“…God is not human …” (Numbers 23:19 NIV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…. [Yet], YOU THOUGHt i, (God, the HOLY SPIRIT) was EXACTLY like you….” (Psalms 50:21 NIV). “…between us (the spiritual world and you (the natural world) a great chasm(barrier) has been set in place…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB).
God DID NOT allow the DIVISION to continue on and on. he SENT his Son!! “…[God]…sent His Son...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). God …sent His Son to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…He gave his only begotten Son,…” (John 3:16 KJV).
“…For Christ … died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us [home again] to God…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB).
GOD PREFERS UNITY THROUGH THE BOND OF LOVE. . “…the Lord loves His people …” (2 Chronicles 2:11 NASB). In “… His love and in His mercy He redeemed them…” (Isaiah 63:9 NASB). “… I have loved you with an everlasting love…” (Jeremiah 31:3 NASB). “… Indeed, He loves the people…” (Deuteronomy 33:3 NASB).
“… I will bring them home again,” says the Lord….” (HOSEA 11 NLT). “…[He sent the] …one … who can reconcileGod and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).
.“…Great is his love … and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD” (Psalms 117:2 KJV). “…[GOD] remembered his covenant with them(THROUGH ABRAHAM) …” (Psalms 106:42-48 NLT). To Abraham he said: “…I will BLESS thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a BLESSING: And I will BLESS them that BLESS thee …in thee shall all families of the earth be BLESSED…” (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).

God suffered and died to bring people together. “……There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female…” (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV). “…God SHOWS NO FAVORITISM. The WRITTEN Word of God was FIRST translated into Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. The King James Version and other translations and versions came later.
However, regardless of the human strengths or weaknesses of those translations and versions, the DIVINE VOICE and DIVINE WORDS of God miraculously continue to SPEAK!!!
The PURITY (HOLINESS), of any translation or version, is revealed when the HOLY SPIRIT’s POWER to DO the ANOINTING WORK of SALVATION and TRANSFORMATION is experienced.
God’s WORD is SPIRIT and it is NOT limited by human translations and versions. It is the ANOINTING of the HOLY SPIRIT that makes ANY translation or version EMPOWERED to SPEAK the SALVATION message that SAVES or the TRANSFORMATION message that TRANSFORMS.
It is WONDERFUL and PRAISEWORTHY that bible scholars make every attempt to sustain the translation or version that has made the MOST impact, but they are NOT to lose SIGHT of WHAT makes “THAT” impact.
God’s WORD is, first and foremost, SPIRIT!
