"This is a review for the final part of the trilogy also titled Eustace and Hilda. I've reviewed the first two parts elsewhere.
This final part brings everything back to the beginning, indeed after the majority of the book takes place in Venice with se" Read more of this review »

I will just repeat something I wrote to a friend about my father, and this book, (which is, to me, right up there with the new biography of Guagin.) True Nature is very good, and also, honest about a gifted, charismatic and extremely difficult person ...more

"So what's this about? The close relationship between a brother and sister. This is not something I can relate to in my own family. The strength of this book is found in the author's ability to make their relationship come alive for me, and individual" Read more of this review »

Wilhelm Reich
“You don't believe that your friend could ever do anything great. You despise yourself in secret, even – no, especially – when you stand on your dignity; and since you despise yourself, you are unable to respect your friend. You can't bring yourself to believe that anyone you have sat at table with, or shared a house with, is capable of great achievement. That is why all great men have been solitary. It is hard to think in your company, little man. One can only think 'about' you, or 'for your benefit', not 'with' you, for you stifle all big, generous ideas.”
Wilhelm Reich, Listen, Little Man!
