Happy Fall!

Happy Fall Readers!
I say that because the cooler temps have FINALLY arrived here in South Carolina and they are FANTASTIC! I think fall is one of my favorite times of the year (summer is my other favorite time because I spend a fair amount at a beach somewhere in the world then). I can curl up and read with a cup of coffee or hot tea. Today’s plan is to sit and write and get the final book in the Gibson Family Series FINISHED! I had an online course end this week and am not teaching in the next term to give myself a much needed break over the holidays (online classes for some online only schools often run over the holidays, which means I never stopped teaching all year for about 10 years! I need to the break). My local classes are hitting the home stretch there with just a few weeks left in the term. I’ve checked in already this morning to see if they are on track for the day, so I am going to go back my cheesy Christmas movie marathon and work on this book and will check in again on them later.
So you know: I am loving A Gibson Family Holiday, even if it is taking me a bit longer to do because of all the characters! Almost every single Gibson character appears in them in some way, shape, or form and it is a bit time consuming. Plus you are getting the backstory on how Nita and Austin met (AWWWW… a little sappy and sweet, but I think you’ll love it) and how Brandon and Brenda met (Awwwww … and wow! There is some mystery to that one for you). I’d say about 90% of the story truly takes place over a one-week period with flashbacks tossed in.
I want to get it off to the editors this weekend (and sorry editors! I need it back in ONE WEEK because of preorder requirements on uploading). While they are working on the edits, I’m going to jump over and work on my next project for you and you’d’ better hold on to your seat! One editor said, “Move over 50 shades!” Yep, I’m getting steamer and MORE mystery. Don’t worry, for those that didn’t like those books because of the content, these are not quite the same in terms of the bondage and stuff, just a WHOLE LOT MORE STEAM and a LOT MORE MYSTERY. The first book in the new Liaisons Series is titled Liaisons. And for those of you who read the Gibson Family Series and the first book in the Because of You Series, you’ll finally (YES, FINALLY) get Jon’s story. It’s not a backstory, but rather it takes place about the same time as Someone Like You in my Because of You Series. Truthfully, when Jon emerged out of left field while working on the Gibson Family books, I didn’t know what to do with him. He’s pretty mysterious to the entire family despite the fact that he’s been involved with many of the situations they encountered and has spent some time with the family in a nonprofessional manner (hanging out watching games or as you will see in the Gibson Family Holiday he attends the boys night). I always pictured him sexy nerd (think computer genius that is totally drop dead gorgeous but doesn’t know it).
Alright, well this post is probably long enough! I need to get to work writing!
Have a good day readers!

Working on book 4...

Good morning friends! I'm sorry I've been gone since Read an eBook Week ended. I've been juggling classes and writing. I am excited that I have a few days off next week and plan to get some wonderful ideas for Book 4 out of my head and onto the page. I am really enjoying getting to know Samantha and Adam. They are two very special people. Take care!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Friends,

Personally, I call this day Icky Love Day. I have for a long time...however as a romance author, that probably isn't the best phrase to use today.

I'm busy working on Book 4. Starting off is usually kind of slow going until I get to know my characters. Adam Gibson, is one I haven't focused on too much in the series and that is on purpose--he is kind of a loner since his divorce. So developing him has been fun.

Samantha Winters is a new character that is incredibly heartbroken and confused as things progress. Not the easiest thing to deal with in this time of love, hearts, and flowers that currently surrounds us from the advertising world. But I am working through that. She is a little bold and has a backbone to be slightly envious of. :)

These two are going to be incredible together...when they finally get there!

Back to the day...happy reading friends!

The day before publication...

Good morning friends! Third Time's The Charm is out TOMORROW! Ebooks will be available, print copy might be. I'm still waiting for the final print cover. It took a little longer this time because it is a custom cover for the book. I should have it today.

I thought I'd share a snipit here of Third Time's The Charm...

**

Tony was busy the next several days. Between the team meetings, the games, practices, and helping Kat move the shop before leaving town for another game, he found very little time to dwell on their relationship. His family stepped in and even though he had to leave on Sunday for the game Monday, he helped right up until he had to be at the airport.
They talked each evening he was gone, but he could tell she had something on her mind. She seemed distant, and when he asked her about it, her response was they would talk Saturday. A round of endorsement events kept him away until late Friday night. Saturday morning he woke up feeling energized and looking forward to two weeks off--well some practices thrown in, but for the most part two weeks off. Mentally thinking about his plans for the night, he reviewed the checklist he created to help ensure they had a romantic evening. He planned it down to the last detail. Steaks were marinating, the potatoes baking, salad mixed, and a red wine breathing. He even got a chocolate desert from a desert place he remembered Graham’s mother raving about.
Freshly showered and dressed in a pair of slacks and a button-down shirt left strategically open at the collar, he paced the floor waiting for Kat to arrive. He was nervous for some reason. After checking his watch for the fifth time in three minutes--and she was late--he settled into a chair. Just as he got comfortable, the doorbell rang.
Opening the front door, he mentally braced himself for the little pang that still hit him every time he saw her. What he saw, though, alarmed him. While she was dressed in a long skirt and sweater and appeared to have her makeup on, she was extremely pale and had dark circles under her eyes. Reaching out, he hauled her over the door jam and into his arms. “What’s wrong?” He asked trying to calm his rapidly beating heart.
“We need to talk,” was her muffled response because she had buried her face in his chest. When he tried to get her to look at him, she resisted.
“Kat, tell me what’s wrong. We can fix whatever it is,” he assured her, trying to push her away to look into her face.
She finally looked up, her eyes bright with tears, “Tony, I’m pregnant.”

Time to start working on Book 4 with Adam and Samantha's story. After some suggestions from my editors and plot people (I really need a name for them--hmmm...), I am kicking around the name Supposed To Be.

Oh well, off to get start on my day. Have a good one friends!

The first entry...

Hello, friends!

I am about to start editing my third book! I am so excited about the wonderful opportunity self-publishing has given me.
I do recommend reading the first two books as it will give you some background on the characters and story line.

Take care and I'll post again soon. :)

Book 1: Falling For Ann

Book 2: Temptation

Book 3: Third Time's The Charm
