Hey everyone! I'm slowly but surely turning things around here on Goodreads. It's my goal to keep this account as up to date as possible, including new releases.
I'm taking full advantage of NaNoWriMo while finishing up the third book in my Pirates of Barra series, Promised to Ewan. Even though I'm just getting started, I'm already completely in love with these charaters. I can't wait to share Ewan and Claire's romance with you:)

November was a tough month for me and my family, but somehow I still managed to get started on my WIP! I'm so excited to be writing in the world of my pirates again. I didn't think I'd be able to get anything written while we're homeschooling, but writing in sprints and after the kids have gone to bed really helped. Now I'm rounding the corner on 15k - not quite the 50 NaNo encourages, but a huge step for me.
I think my favorite part about this book is the forbidden love aspect. It's a new trope for me, one I've never written in before, and I find that oddly satisfying. Claire is such a strong character, and so clever, that makes her rebellious heart all the more interesting. The hard part was writing a male counterpart that deserves her. I adore this heroine so much, and in some ways, it's like being a parent - you want them to be happy and find a good match, who will bring out the best in them.
I'll be continuing to write over the holidays to have the manuscript ready by Valentine's.
