I was born in Staten Island New York and received a B.S. in Biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, an M.A. in Biology at the University of Northern Colorado, and an M.Ed in Education at The Ohio State University, and most recently, an MFA in Creative Writing at National University. I am most proud of this last accomplishment, as I chose to listen to God, rather than my own voice, and pusue the writing of poetry to minister to others.

Response to Life's Circumstances

I am curious as to how others respond to life's circumstances, particularly the ones we quickly label as adverse and downright ugly.

I was faced with one of those ugly circumstances, as we all will be at one time of our lives or another, when my wife of eight years, and mother of my two children, Nyah, age four, and Sebastian, age, six, was diagnosed with advanced stage four lung cancer.
