Bests and Worst of 2022

This year flew by, didnt it? Its that time again. Time for me to pour back through my reading list from the last 12 months and decide which books I loved the most and which books I could have done without altogether. S...

What Lies in the Woods: Kate Alice Marshall

I have a lot of feelings about this audiobook. First, it was beautifully narrated by the amazing Karissa Vacker, whom I have enjoyed in other books. Great job, superb voice acting.

The Good Daughter: Karin Slaughter

After reading this, I agree with Gillian Flynn. "I would follow her anywhere." Immediately adding Karin Slaughter to the very short list of authors who I will buy books blindly without reading the blurb. The Good Daughte...

Last Breath: Karin Slaughter

Last Breath is the prequel to the book, The Good Daughter. This is a novella, but don't let its length fool you. This is my first book by Karin Slaughter, and it absolutely didn't disappoint.

Fairy Tale: Stephen King

Of all his books that I have read now, this just might be my new favorite. It's got book hangover written all over it. The sort of story that you can't wait to see how it unfolds but are sad to see that you have turned t...

Verity: Colleen Hoover

Wow, that was a wild ride. WILD. This is my first Colleen Hoover book and I hesitated for a while before picking this up. But eventually (it was inevitable) I succumbed to the pressures of dark thriller booktok and picke...

Jar of Hearts: Jennifer Hillier

Well, that took quite a turn. I don't know how to feel about this main character, she's almost likable, but as you read the more you find out about her, and what she's hiding, what she's lied about, and how it all came t...
