Behind the Scenes | The Order’s Hierarchy

The Order purposely obfuscates itself to the world by employing archaic Church terminology that is not understood by the secular world. This will be an evolving list and I’ll add to it as I continue to the write the story.

Major Positions Archimandrion (Council): The Order’s highest authority convenes as the governing council at the Citadel, a group made up of the individual Archimandrites and Archimandrates. Presider: The person who oversees the Archimandrion for an elected term of one year...

Behind the Scenes | Averting Disaster

One of the largest planes we see flying around the New Hampshire seacoast area is the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker, a refueling support craft for the U.S. Air Force. On a given day, an entire fleet of them may land or take off at Pease International Tradeport, formerly known as Pease Air Force Base. They’re huge plans, and I’ve often wondered what would happen if one of them ever had a problem landing—short of destroying everything in its path. In real life, that would be devastating, but in Un...

Quinn and Blake’s Superhero Adventure Continues

Today, I’m proud to release Unidentified Phenomenon, the next book in the exciting Guardians superhero series. What makes this series unique is it’s LGBTQ focus, allowing for a gay superhero to rise above his surroundings and become who he needs to be, as both a gay youth and a super-powered individual.

There are too few examples of LGBTQ superheroes in popular media today and most of those are retconned or made LGBTQ with new storylines. For example, DC Comics relaunched the Green Lantern as...

Behind the Scenes | Rangeley Vintage Control Room

The original, or vintage control room that Blake and Quinn discover was built after the death of Wilhelm Reich when his home was turned into a secret facility by the The Order. The room is located underground and still runs the orgone collection system today, but an upper level control room does the modern-day programming and system monitoring. The walls of the vintage control room are lined with 1960s-era  wall-to-wall, massive computer systems that have been carefully maintained over the de...

Behind the Scenes | Secret Tunnel Entrance

[image error]I discovered this picture on the Instagram profile of Zachary Howell when I was planning the Orgonon Reactor Core break-in that Quinn and Blake made while camping with Aren and Tim.

As you can see, his image inspired the Orgonon Chamber Venting Tunnel Entrance or bunker that made its way into books 1 and 2.

Meet Blake, a Super Villain in the Making

[image error]My name is Blake Hargreaves—known to the world as Dark Flame—a stupid name I absolutely hate. It’s so friggin’ pretentious. I loathe Hargreaves as well because my parents hate each other, and I’m stuck in the middle of their bullshit, forced to listen to them scream and yell at each other well into the night. Sometimes, I think they’re just waiting for me to graduate high school before breaking up and getting a divorce. I wish they’d get it over with because it’s not fun for me.

Money’s tight...

Behind the Scenes | Rangeley Reactor Facility

The Rangeley, Maine Facility houses the world’s first Orgone Energy Reactor Core and is located underground, under Orgonon, the home-turned-museum of the late psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich. The Order, having secretly developed his orgone energy research beyond its known limitations, uses the facility to collect, convert, and store orgone from the atmosphere for ambiguous—and slightly nefarious—purposes.

The two images below represent 1) the initial sketch of the reactor core that informed the a...
