Continental Drift: Battle at the Puerto Rico Trench

Chapter 1 - HIVE

Chapter 1 picks up from we end in the prequel 'The Sixth Extinction. We are at Genesis Hive in Cherrapunji. We are in a secured building 16 stories below the area's largest coal mine. The Supreme Commander of the dreaded Genesis organization is having a very peaceful breakfast while the world governments execute a global dragnet for her and her leadership team. After all, they were the architects of the nefarious plan to ignite nuclear Hellburners on the southeast coast of the United States. If you read the prequel, you are aware that the meticulously planned OP failed. We can see and feel the disappointment in her face when the evening news reported that their intended catastrophic event failed. We are also reminded of the intense grief she felt when she learned that Field Commander Jameela was among the tortured and dead. So now we are grace with the presence of Tess aka Hellgirl. Tess is back She is now a lead Field Commander. Remember her from the prequel. ' Sixth Extinction' Tess is the helicopter pilot who flew the assassination mission with Kyle and Jeff as they hunted down and killed the rogue Shepherd.

Chapter 2 - Revenge Is Like a Fine Wine

This chapter opens in the Supreme Commander's office. She is enjoying the great view of the Mawsmai Falls and their awesome display of colors and rainbows. The pleasantries end as the suspense builds as the chapter reveals unexpected and well-kept family secrets.

Chapter 3 - Strategic Operations Center

This chapter opens with a phone conversation between the Supreme Commander and the Field Marshall. This phone conversation…well it delivers another bombshell for us. We also travel abord the huge Genesis jetliner to the Hive at Hang Son Dong…the mother of all Hives to meet with High Council.

Chapter 4 - Three Traitors

We now find ourselves in the War Room with the Genesis High Council at the Hive at Hang Son Dong. Here…we gain painful insight on where or not the death of the Supreme Commander's daughter has weakened her resolve to lead. Early in the High Council meeting, we are privy to a discussion on recruits and converts. I thought it was sad commentary as to why recruit conversion was at an all-time high. The three figures with blackout head masks...who are they? And what is in Sector NGC-224?

Chapter 5 – Provenance

We open with the reconvened High Council discussing the release of the Traitors. Lead Commander Tess’ popularity just increased with the High Council and the Supreme Commander. Her idea now lives as the Provenance Strategy. Yet, we wonder…what is the end game?

Chapter 6 – America Radicalized Eddie Pearson

In this chapter, we find the High Council and the Field Marshall Mustafa contemplating on the choice of lead commanders for the ‘Provenance Maiden Voyage? The High Council decision does not sit well with the Supreme Commander. However, she is pleased with the choice to replace the Technology Officer who was killed in a home invasion while on holiday to visit his parents. No question in my mind that the guy who designed the perfect ‘Jackpotting’ algorithm that could jump different bank networks and get them to electronically route cash to a specific account or ATM should get the job. Did I mentioned he forced NASA to shut computer systems down for three weeks.?

Chapter 7 – Back to Pangaea

Everyone grabbed coffee, and they are back in their seats 19 minutes later as they all know Field Marshall Mustafa was a stickler for time. Once again there is a new face in the room. The Supreme Commander put her arms around the man in the distinct single breast white uniform. She gave him a big hug…this guy is really important. The Supreme Commander proudly introduces the brother of the legendary Captain Mark Bashir. The captain committed the ultimate sacrifice as he created the nuclear storm deep in the Atlantic Ocean. In the course of this...he took out two US Aircraft carriers. Super Continents, Pangaea, Deep Ocean Volcanism, and Plate Tectonics at the Puerto Rico Trench. As a result of Continental Drift…our Earth currently has seven 7 continents. 335 million years ago, Earth was a supercontinent called Pangaea surrounded by a single ocean called Panthalassa. Continental Drift has happened before. It will happen again. It is just a matter of time. Explained vividly and in simple terms. I could have used this info when I took my college geology classes? Yet the end game is scary. It could happen...

Chapter 8 – Amassing Wealth

Here we find ourselves on the Supreme Commander's VIP business jet. As we cruise at 569 mph at thirty-nine thousand feet, we find her enjoying breakfast and reading the digital morning news from a local paper. We are headed to Jekyll Island Georgia for the organization’s periodic financial report meeting. Hmmm...the Iranian Navy chasing a US Guided Missile Destroyer. Kind of like a dog chasing a car. What will he do when the car stops? Just a thought....just a thought. We are witness to what happens when someone or an organization breaches Genesis trust…Particularly when it comes to loyalty and money. The Supreme Commander once said, “When death is imminent, men look at their lives in reflection. They often seek redemption. If they have embezzled Genesis money…I offer none.” We now understand why the rogue High Commander Roble aka ‘Secretary Bird is an important part of financing Genesis defense and dark operations. We begin to gain insight into why financial storms are more effective than the inhumanity of nuclear storms. We listen in as Field Commander Aslan explains his plan to hide within plain sight and do recon at the very same military installation were Field Commander Jameela was tortured and killed by hostile interrogators. A brilliant plan by the way…

Chapter 9 – Black Onyx

This chapter finds us with Commander Tess and Commander Aslan in a rental car enroute to Savannah Georgia. We must ask if there is a special bond of friendship growing between them. The very dangerous type. In this chapter, we are introduced to Black Onyx…hmmm. Black Onyx has origins from ‘Black Stars’ which is straight from the primordial soup immediately after the Big Bang almost fourteen billion years ago. Dark Stars are children of dark matter. The dark matter fuel in a dark star is likely to power that star for millions or even billions of years How does all this tie into the advanced Gravito Magnetism propulsion system they were recently made aware of. We found out when we are introduced to the continent killer ‘Blackstars.’

Chapter 10 – Eagles

This chapter finds us in the city of Annapolis which lies within 30 miles of Washington DC and Baltimore. Home to the United States Naval Academy. Today is graduation day for the 40 Cyber Operations Midshipmen that will be assigned to the USS Cooper Barksdale to provide cyber support in the hunt for Genesis and its dreaded Hives. We experience Admiral Steve Anderson motivating and aspiring remarks a graduating class of Cyber Operations Midshipmen. The legend of Admiral Steve Anderson is quite impressive. If you started your journey with the prequel, "The Sixth Extinction…" you know exactly what we are talking about. Well now...the Americans have not been sitting on their thumbs. We have built the father of all Warships...the USS Cooper-Barksdale. A fierce hybrid ‘Carrier-Destroyer. We are not surprised that Captain Sara Parrish is now the Captain of the Flagship in the United States Naval Fleet. We are surprised that she left her high-profile position at Naval Intelligence. The biggest surprise was the introduction to the biggest Naval secret ever…The amphibious Eagle drones…only twelve have been built and we own them.

Chapter 11 – The Secret of the Calderas

The chapter begins on the USS Cooper Barksdale with Lieutenant Commander Hunt radioing the Admiral. He is urgently needed in the Eagle Drone Center. It appears they have found that will lead them on of Genesis Hives or operations installations within a shield volcano. We witness the incredible beauty of Calderas through the high Definition lens of the Eagle Drones. Then it turns ugly. We are witness to an aerial gunfight that most warfighters would say could not happen until the 22nd Century. The Eagle Drones open fire on the drone pilots called oversized ‘Flying Devil Rays’. What they had encountered were Genesis Black stars.

Chapter 12 – Tommy

Missions completed…Commander Aslan and Commander Tess arrived at the Savannah Hilton Head airport in time to have coffee together. From there they depart separate ways. Tess on holiday and Aslan on mission. This is a chapter that reminds us that with the birth of every child comes God's gift of forgiveness and the possibility to correct the sins and wickedness of mankind. Will Tess’ cousin Tommy emerged as such a child…stay tuned.

Chapter 13 - What Was That

This Chapter finds Aslan is on a mission a world away in the Mediterranean city of Izmir. The Chapter opens with Aslan on a secured call with High Commander Mustafa. Aslan is informed the command decision was made. Commander Jeff was chosen as the Cruise Director for the Provenance. Once his mission here is completed…he is to rendezvous with Commander Tess in Fort Lauderdale and delivers the news to Jeff. Tensions build as Jeff contemplates the offer. What happens if he refuses? We see 'Tommy' issues bubbling up. Jeff and Tommy in the same photos. What are the odds of that? We look on hopelessly as Miami experiences a 4.7 earthquake. This earthquake was an 'Oops?'" Are you kidding me?

Chapter 14 - Phoenix is Reborn

The Chapter opens with us at Central Broward Regional Park. Yep...we are still in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Smart move by Aslan to invite Jeff to a game in a sport he loves. Even buying VIP tickets. Before the games begin, we observe a very macho altercation between Jeff and Aslan. Ah...sweet revenge. We now understand that revenge is best served on a very cold plate. Tess and Jeff walk to the concession stand for drinks. They have a quiet talk. We watch Jeff fall against the wall in grief. What did she tell him?

Chapter 15 - Feelings

This chapter finds us 'on mission' in Saint Nazaire, France. Commander Tess and Commander Aslan took advantage of a few free days. We enjoyed the stop at the Angers Castle as Tess and Aslan were on their way to the International Paris Air show. A beautiful and exciting day at the air show. It seems that even rogue terrorist agents will stop and smell the roses. And they should. They never know how quickly it will end. You agree or disagreed? It is a long drive back. They are caught in a fierce summer storm. So, they pulled off in Le Mans and rented the only available room? What happened or what is happening between Aslan and Tess?

Chapter 16 - Manchurian Soldier

We open this Chapter in Fort Lauderdale as Jeff reluctantly prepares to leave for France. Jeff will assume the duties of the ship's Cruise Director with Tess as his second in command. Aslan will be the ship's Security Officer. I am very curious as to how this plays out. Do you think this trio Tess, Jeff, and Aslan will play well together? So, Colonel Werner (now Brigadier-General Werner) introduced Tommy and Jeff at a military installation ...what a web we weave. So how did Tommy end up as Staff Captain on a Genesis ship? Okay…who is the Manchurian Candidate…Jeff or Tommy?

Chapter 17 - Saint Nazaire Shipyard

This chapter opens with Jeff arriving at the Shipyard earlier than Tess and Aslan. Was this intentional. Do you think he left early to have breakfast with Captain Bashir? The first familiar face he runs into was Tommy. Imagine that? Siseneg Investment Management is mentioned more than once. Now spell Siseneg backward...what did you get? Tommy and Tess finally run into each other. Awkward...

Chapter 18 – Deck 13

The chapter opens with Staff Captain Tommy busy in his office with blueprints that detailed the massive modifications on Deck 13 of the Provenance. He and Commander Quasar had released the regular shipbuilders. The shipbuilders loyal to Genesis had completed the modifications. They were reviewing the completed work the welders and electricians did on the landing and departure platforms. Genesis High Council had approved Provenance’s special decks and equipment. I never knew you could have a problem on Interstate 95 on a cruise ship at sea…it seems you can. The real surprise was Deck 13. No… I will not even give a hint of a spoiler. You must experience the adventure for yourself.

Chapter 19 – Greenlit

The chapter finds us with Field Marshall Mustafa who was having a closed meeting with the High Council. He then walked over to the touchscreen. He pressed the ‘Live World News.’ icon. “This is Emilía Maugnusdottir reporting the evening news for the Iceland Monitor. You are aware that Iceland has no Air Force or armies of its own. We have a Coast Guard of about 250 members. Iceland is defended by the armies of NATO members such as Canada and the United States. I mentioned that because it was an interesting night for the city of Reykjavik and the Royal Canadian Air Force as they responded to hundreds of calls from tourists about weird lights and threatening-looking ‘Devil Rays… Why is Genesis Blackstars in Iceland.? Another salient question that is emerging on the Provenance. Who can we trust? Jeff? Tommy? Both…or neither.

Chapter 20 - Provenance Maiden Voyage

This chapter finds us on the day that has been prepared for several years. The day of the maiden voyage of 'The Provenance.' The boarding process has started. Captain Bashir is briefing the bridge staff. We listen in awe as the gigantic cruise horns of the Provenance signal her majestic departure. It is amazing to see the Supreme Commander in a role we are unaccustomed to. Dinner host for a very special dinner for the G20 Finance and Central Bankers? Are you not just a wee bit curious why? Stop the tape. Deck 22...The Kentucky Derby on the deep blue ocean with Egyptian Arabian horses. Now that is first-class entertainment. Wish I was there. The FBI has jurisdiction on the High seas. Did you know that?

Chapter 21 - We Own 33 Liberty Street

We open the Chapter with the 'Trio' having breakfast at Lila's place. From what we hear...the view of the Ship's gardens and parks is spectacular. We also see the Supreme Commander at her best as she and Mustafa map out they will garner the votes to take over 33 Liberty Street. Lila is a brilliant leader...a strategist. Now we know why Roble (Secretary Bird) was confined to Sector NGC-225. Dissatisfied with the G20’ day two board meeting, the High Commander gave a direct order to Captain Bashir to release the 'Ground Jay.' Now enter the FBI...by video conferencing of course. They want answers. Will they get them? Why is the FBI involved?

Chapter 22 - Where Is Jeff

This chapter finds us back in Savannah Georgia where Brigadier General Werner is stuck in traffic as he heads home. Is this the former Colonel Werner so hated by the Genesis organization? If your read the prequel ‘The Sixth Extinction’…you already know the answer to this. So why the urgent call from Captain Sara Parrish. I think that life just got complicated again. Meanwhile, the Provenance has dock Casablanca. Great idea Staff Captain Tommy had t give the crew a holiday. Jeff left for the town of Casa with a few of his staff...ahead of everyone else? When Captain Bashir and company walked into a restaurant and see Jeff is sitting there with four blue suits…he must have thought. “Does this guy have a death wish? Or did he simply ran into old acquaintances?

Chapter 23 - The Cover-Up

In this Chapter we open with Tess alone on a dark road...trying to make her way undetected back to the Provenance. She appeared overwhelmed by the deed. But the deed needed to be done. She found solace in this. Once back aboard the Provenance, they all meet in the Captain conference room So now we find ourselves with Commander Aslan headed to the Blackstar Drone Center on Deck 13. What he saw surprised him. We are as well. What about you? Aslan was connecting the dots. He warned everyone that the Americans were sending a warship. Genesis Intelligence called shortly thereafter and confirmed his fears and more. Is this a reason to assemble all 1,200 soldiers and possibly blow their cover?

Chapter 24 - The Third Hive

We open this Chapter about deep in the ocean near Puerto Rico. We are with Genesis Chief Geologist Navid and we are asking ourselves and each other, " Is this real?’ As we move along the ocean floor and approach the Mid Atlantic Ridge, it's like we are in another world. Later we find ourselves on an island boat build for tourists. It is winding its way through 4 hours of choppy waters to the largest of three islands located in the Mona Passage. Once unloaded, we began to explore and run into some pretty dreadful-looking creatures. When the ground shook...hard. then Harder...then oh my God! The Windward Islands and the Leeward Islands are moving at s rapid rate toward Africa. We thought…That can't be good? Your thoughts.

Chapter 25 - Operation Blue Whale

The chapter finds us in the Gold Room at the United States Pentagon. Special guests ( code for 'have your butt in the chair or we will come get you' ) include Army Brigadier General Werner and Navy Captain Parrish of the USS Cooper Barksdale. Standing ovation from the Joint Chiefs...imagine that. So...they admit that Genesis technology is superior to ours? We are doomed. What say you? Up to now, we have experienced decisions made at the command level. Now we are in the Pentagon...kinda awesome. All while the questions and revelations ate flying around the room Captain Parrish is silent. She is puzzled, "The cruise director...Jeff. Where is he in all of this? Would you be curious as well? We attended the Navy’s defense briefing on the ‘Blue Whale'...are you kidding me. Absolutely amazing. This is the new power platform for the United States Navy. Nothing can stop us now!

Chapter 26 - Lightning Bolt

It appears we have arrived at one of the most revealing and pivotal chapters. We are back on Deck 13 and standing in the eastern quadrant. One Thousand, two hundred Field Commanders and associates are assembled and preparing for war. There are three nations’ ships headed for the Provenance at breakneck speed. Their citizens were killed on this mighty ship and the nations they are from want clear answers. This could be a prelude to a nuclear event of epic proportions. The enemy is now at the gate. Helos are hovering over the Provenance. Captain Bashir's idea, "Find a passenger with a dark record." Will it work?

Chapter 27 - RATS

The chapter opens with Captain Parrish F/18 Super Hornet catching up with the Provenance steaming toward the United States. Back on the command deck, the Officer of the Deck briefed her. Then the Admiral requested her to report immediately to the Combat Direction Center (CDC). It seems General Werner had his own intelligence agency. If so. We thank God for small miracles huh? Remote Access Trojans (RAT) are real. They will help? Why does Captain Parrish want the Provenance medical team brought to her ship and locked in the brig immediately?

Chapter 28 - Compromised

This chapter opens with the Supreme Commander safely enjoying her day at the mosque in Casablanca. She has lodging there with a great view. It took over seven years and 10,000 craftsmen to construct the Hassan II Mosque. Although it is only the 7th largest mosque in the world, Hassan II claims the title of having the largest minaret in the world. There are several reasons the High Council sheltered her in place there.

Steaming toward the United States is the Provenance. At the same time…there are four F35s military jets headed toward the Provenance on a recon mission. The real question: Will they take the Provenance out if they need to. The FBI and the forensic team are in the midst of a tense meeting with Captain Bashir and deck officers when Tess and Isabella walked in uniforms that highlighted their girly figures. Why is it that men are always distracted by sex...even as the world is accelerating toward a new normal? Why lord...why? I would love to see the scene on the big screen where the medical crew is asked medical questions they can't or refused to answer. Then see them handcuff and hand-delivered to the brig on the USS Barksdale-Cooper for their day of reckoning. How about you?

Chapter 29 - The One Called Quasar

The Chapter opens with Captain Parrish on the flag bridge with Admiral Anderson on video conferencing with Brigadier General Werner. The F35s have been ordered back to the USA Barksdale-Cooper. New orders from Pentagon. "Head at top speed to the Puerto Rico Trench." Is this where World War III begins and ends? Earthquakes again. They are getting worse. Now a 10.2. Blackstars at work? Is this related to the Puerto Rico Trench? Quasar is in quite a pickle at this point. He will be known as the one called Quasar.

Chapter 30 – Today's Menu...Humans

Keystone Species is a species on which other species in an ecosystem largely depend, such that if it were removed the ecosystem would change drastically. ~~Humans

This chapter finds us at the Sea Watch level on the SeaHive. We are at the Bathypelagic Zone…the midnight zone at thirteen thousand feet below sea level. We are watching the fish and creatures that produce the only visible light that you can see. Suddenly light motion tells us we on the move….to the Puerto Rico Trench. From the Sea Watch level…we can see the twelve menacing-looking Devil Rays escorting in a ‘V’ formation. Their sleek black underbellies glowing distinct circles of purplish hue. As the Sea Hive continued its path towards the Puerto Rico Trench…we witnessed huge floating landmasses. We grimaced as we saw thousands of Tiger Sharks feeding on the thousands of bodies…men, women, and children of all ages as they floated back to the surface. Joining this gruesome feast were 12 foot long, 500 pound Bull Sharks…

It seems that today, America and its allies are on the menu.

Chapter 31 - Battle in the Midnight Zone

This chapter finds us in the midst of battle preparation. We are in the CDC on the special bridge and the Submarine Captains on the converted subcarrier are definitely in command. The USS Alaska sits 3,000 feet deep on the west side and the USS North Dakota sits 3,500 feet on the east side of the Puerto Rico Trench. Equipped with 'Red Mercury' enhanced nuclear warheads. Sounds to me that they will kill anything they don't recognize or understand? Eagles shielding the Subs...locked in freefall and battling the Devil Rays. Can the Submarines make this strategy work before they reach zero barriers at 13,124?

Chapter 32 -The Reckoning at Achilles Arc

This chapter opens with the High Council in various secured locations watching the latest images transmitted by the Devil Rays. The Submarines USS Alaska and USS Dakota nukes hardened by red Mercury destroyed the Devil Rays. If the Anegada Trough is the gate of Hell. Why is Genesis SeaHive there as the host and welcoming committee?

Chapter 33 - Guardians of the Deep

This chapter opens with both warships (USS Cooper Barksdale aka ‘Blue Whale’ and Genesis SeaHive) ascending to the 'Midnight Zone.' The continent slope is within range. The 'Blue Whale' is preparing to fire on the SeaHive). You might ask. “How does an aircraft carrier descend into deep ocean by design?” Well now….another reason to read the novel. Something is screwing up the Genesis SeaHive 's nukes guidance system. What Is that massive grey wall that is emitting those blocking signals? Bleeding nodes and swollen eyes are being reported shipside to the doctor on the Genesis SeaHive. What causing this? When the 'Blue Whale' bow broke surface.it must have been a magnificent experience for the global navy arriving and weapons hot...prepare to kill anything that did not yield to peace.

Chapter 34 - We Are Not Done Yet

The final chapter of this adventure finds us in Fairbanks Alaska. So why are we at the top of the world? Let me answer that. You are headed to Fort Greeley. Home to the Ballistic Missile Defense System. Somethings going on. Some kinda big. Indeed, life is a two-sided coin. We find ourselves a continent away. There is another high-level meeting going on. Do you want to take a guess who? Now we are back in the good old lower 48s in the United States. Deep in a storage facility in Bethlehem Pennsylvania...with a team of Genesis agents. What do you think the Supreme Commander meant when she said, "We are not done yet?” Well, you will not know until you join us on the adventure.

Sixth Extinction: The Reset Button - Back to Pangaea

Chapter 1 - The Shepherds

Our story starts out with the introduction of the probably the most powerful woman on the planet. Just like the beautiful blue Malayan coral snake, her venomous bite is just as deadly. We find the Supreme Commander intensely involved in what amounts to a high-level national cabinet meeting at a secluded Hive location. This high-level meeting is dominated by ‘Alpha Males on a mission and they desperately need her help. The sum total of the rogue armies they control would allow them to kill the human population of an entire continent….with sufficient resources. Genesis vast resources of course. A critical part of this back story of this chapter is that it is Ramadan. So, it is a highly religious time, as well as a celebratory one. Known as the Shepherds, they highly respect the leadership of the Supreme Commander, a few fears her power as they are a tiny minority that has a healthy disrespect for her leadership. Yet…they all stand in awe of the Empire she rules.

Chapter 2 – Jeff and Kyle

Here we find Kyle and Jeff. Here we get a feel of East Coast versus West Coast culture, yet economic strata are similar. For all their differences they have become thick as thieves. It seemed as if their racial differences melt within the sphere of Islamic Radicalization. Perhaps….maybe, you be the judge. The fact is both have become skilled commanders within the Genesis organization. And their loyalty to each other grows equally fierce. We also come to know their playful side which by the way…can change very quickly. Commander Tess appears in this chapter…equally skilled. Code name ‘Hellgirl.’

Chapter 3 - Genesis New World OrderWe now find that several months have passed and the boys have returned to their sleeper cell. Kyle and Jeff have returned to their roles in the American civilian sector. Their regular jobs...so to speak. Both are skilled mariners in their own right. We find Jeff on the high seas as he works as a seamen and Kyle make a living as a port captain at Charleston Ports in Charleston South Carolina. Whenever Jeff's ship is in port, he stays at Kyle’s place. It was during this latest visit while dining out over a plate of shrimp and grits that Kyle informed Jeff of their new mission which requires travel across Africa to a remote location. Chapter 1 - The Shepherds

Our story starts out with the introduction of the probably the most powerful woman on the planet. Just like the beautiful blue Malayan coral snake, her venomous bite is just as deadly. We find the Supreme Commander intensely involved in what amounts to a high-level national cabinet meeting at a secluded Hive location. This high-level meeting is dominated by ‘Alpha Males on a mission and they desperately need her help. The sum total of the rogue armies they control would allow them to kill the human population of an entire continent….with sufficient resources. Genesis vast resources of course. A critical part of this back story of this chapter is that it is Ramadan. So, it is a highly religious time, as well as a celebratory one. Known as the Shepherds, they highly respect the leadership of the Supreme Commander, a few fears her power as they are a tiny minority that has a healthy disrespect for her leadership. Yet…they all stand in awe of the Empire she rules.

Chapter 2 – Jeff and Kyle

Here we find Kyle and Jeff. Here we get a feel of East Coast versus West Coast culture, yet economic strata are similar. For all their differences they have become thick as thieves. It seemed as if their racial differences melt within the sphere of Islamic Radicalization. Perhaps….maybe, you be the judge. The fact is both have become skilled commanders within the Genesis organization. And their loyalty to each other grows equally fierce. We also come to know their playful side which by the way…can change very quickly. Commander Tess appears in this chapter…equally skilled. Code name ‘Hellgirl.’

Chapter 3 - Genesis New World OrderWe now find that several months have passed and the boys have returned to their sleeper cell. Kyle and Jeff have returned to their roles in the American civilian sector. Their regular jobs...so to speak. Both are skilled mariners in their own right. We find Jeff on the high seas as he works as a seamen and Kyle make a living as a port captain at Charleston Ports in Charleston South Carolina. Whenever Jeff's ship is in port, he stays at Kyle’s place. It was during this latest visit while dining out over a plate of shrimp and grits that Kyle informed Jeff of their new mission which requires travel across Africa to a remote location. But not before visiting the secretive Lobi people. Remarkably, it is something the Lobi Chief says that becomes a harbinger of crushing reality in later chapters.

Chapter 4 - THE PATRIOT

Here comes Captain John Russell, United States Marine Corp. He is best pals with Jeff's brother Daniel. JR and Daniel believe that the American way of life is worth fighting for. In spite, of her inequalities, …they believe they must help America get better for everyone. Defending her and her citizens is an honor and an obligation. JR is wealthy. Daniel is from a working-class family, yet they share the same kindred spirit…through college together as well as adults. Here we get a real feel that when it comes to loyalty. JR. and Daniel have an intense loyalty to the American way of life…patriots. Here we are in for a real treat…a celebration aboard the USS Gerald Ford, one of three of the futuristic ships the Navy has put into service.

Chapter 5 - Bumblehive

We are treated to a bit of history about the Portsmouth Naval Prison (For the benefit of the uninitiated it is pronounced Portsmith) It is not a surprise that this is the home of USCYBERCOM but what lies underneath this secured government installation. After arriving at this vast communication and command center, JR. asked himself one question: Why am I here? This chapter also reveals some rather scary secrets about ‘Bumblehive.’

Chapter 6 – Family

This chapter is titled ‘Family’ but it could have easily been titled ‘Daniel’ as it really is about him. It is also as much about his deep desire to protect his family from any type of hardships. Be it mental, physical, or financial. After the death of his father at a young age he had to become the ‘Man.’ Jeff is very close to Kyle. Daniel, however, is his big brother who he truly admires and looks up to…always has. We become aware of how important family is as we watch Jeff spend time with Daniel, Marcia, his niece, and nephew. We sense there is growing concern about Long Term Care costs for their aging mother. When Jeff mentioned he has a plan to solve his mother financial woes…Daniel became upset.

Chapter 7 – Aggressive Persuasion

Chapter 7 finds Kyle and Jeff executing Operations GenFeed in the skies of Ethiopia. From there the mission took them to a trading camp in or near Djibouti. We look on as the Commanders are given a working knowledge of Hawala...and how this brilliant money distribution system enhances Genesis' capacity to finance its operations. We get a real treat as we a historical view of this effective money transfer system. However, it gets insanely scary as the ‘Aggressive Persuasion’ session began.

Chapter 8 – The Mission Revealed

Jeff and Kyle headed to Shanghai per orders received on the last day of camp. Here we find them entering new roles as laborers at one of the Genesis-controlled shipyards. We began to see the High Command focus on them. This is apparent as their first meeting is with High Commander Mustafa. This is in fact a rare event and considered most honorable. So...it seems that as they get closer and closer to the mission Jeff seems to lose his courage and sense of purpose. Kyle smells his fear as a wolf can on its prey. Now enters Jameela... operational commander. As intelligent as she is beautiful.

Chapter 9 – Tunnels and Satellites

Kyle and Jeff are settling into their new shipyard jobs in China. We see their 'commando' training has intensified. We become keenly aware of how the North Vietnamese deployed Sun Tzu's strategies with great efficiency against the United States. We are awed by the power of Genesis’ Apophis Tablets.

Chapter 10 – Perfect Storm

The chapter finds Jeff and Kyle en route from Savannah to Charleston in a rental car. They are getting ‘boy’ time in as they travel to get final orders for the mission ahead. On the way, they stop for gas and they encounter a horrific event that they correct just in time to save an innocent. We are also introduced to ‘Red Mercury’…is it real?

Chapter 11 - Bad Boys

Omaha Nebraska…middle America. Jeff’s brother Daniel and his wife are visiting JR and his wife. The ‘College World Series is in town and both couple kids are either participating in special baseball camps or just excited to be cheering their favorite teams on. Two families bonded by friendship and enjoying the stuff that America is made of. Ballgames and great steak restaurants. It was under the light of a full Nebraska moon in JR’s wife's garden and over a glass of Jack Daniels that JR shared a deep dark secret concerning Jeff and Kyle.

Now, Chapter 12 - The Widowmaker

So, the chapter finds us jumping continents…to Europe. Jeff was selected to rendezvous with ‘The Widowmaker’ in Bucharest, the capital and largest city of Romania. He was the most likely candidate for this mission as there was little risk of detection and since he oversaw security on his ship…no problems with securing a critical component of Genesis' mission.

Chapter 13 - Arrested as Terrorists

In this Chapter, we find Jeff back home in China. The morning after arriving, he must complete his mission essential task. Also as a bonus, ...we will find out if the Supreme Commander is Field Commander’s Jameela's mother. Suddenly ‘Knock’ ‘Knock.’ Jeff's worst nightmare becomes reality.

Chapter 14 - Black Site

This chapter takes us to the ledge as we look over the cliff down into the unimaginable. The chapter begins with Captain John Russell stopping off in Savannah for the weekend. He is due at the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort on Monday. No sooner than he gets there...his cell phone rings...it is Colonel Werner. He has orders to return to base…immediately! This is not unusual to JR. What is unusual is that he finds himself under direct orders to bring Daniel with him.

After Chapter 15 - Inconvenient Interrogators

Daniel and JR are taken to a black site. Head masks were required which caused uneasiness in Daniel. The pace quickens with excitement and the real reality of how the US government deal with suspected spies and terrorists. It ain't pretty folks…

Chapter 16 - We All Bleed Red

Daniel and JR find themselves as Inconvenient Interrogators. Who are they interrogating? It is in this chapter that JR and Daniel’s friendship is severely tested…

Chapter 17 - Secretary Bird

‘The Event’ was revealed by Jeff. The plan was so horrific that the fiercest warrior in the room grew afraid. In Chapter 3, the African Burkina chief told Kyle and Jeff a story that ended in him giving the boys a bit of advice, He said "Be very afraid…sometimes the old ways will not give you up." In this Chapter…in the middle of the most horrific time in Jeff's life....he remembered the chieftain advice. Is it too late?

Chapter 18 - Operation Oglethorpe

Chapter 18 finds us at an Amy operational complex in a very high-tech conference room within NSA's spy network buildings located around the country. After the briefing, everyone realized that Genesis has raised one of the fiercest military forces on earth and they are about to 'Bring it.'

Chapter 19 - Hellburners

This chapter finds us still at the conference table at the NSA complex. This chapter seems to take a deep dive into the legacy of fireships. The name Fireship Savannah keeps bubbling up. What does this mean?

Chapter 20 - Get the Armada Out to Sea

In this chapter, we sense a flurry of activity centered around Carrier Strike Groups' readiness and deployment. I felt the excitement of being on the command flight deck. The sea breeze blowing as we look toward the sky for signs of the F18 squadrons. It appears that the greatest international sea hunt is about to get underway.
