BALD-FACED LIAR follows the daily life of Elizabeth May, a charming woman who spies on strangers and lies to everyone she meets. Her curious habits are a shield, meant to protect her after the childhood trauma of a Satanic panic trial. Praise for Bald-Faced Liar
The first reviews are coming in for Bald-Faced Liar!
“I sat down to read just the first chapter and didnt get up until Id finished the book. Only Victoria Helen Stone could deliver a heroine so complex, so damaged, and so damned funny. Bald-Faced Liar is a whip-smart ride you wont be able to put down. Deanna Raybourn, New York Times bestselling author of Killers of a Certain Age
Hysterically, mindblowingly great. Theres so much of this book that I loved, and by so much I mean everything. Characters, plot, theme, voice, world-building. Sinking down into Elizabeths world was so delightful. What a fun, exhilarating ride.” New York Times Bestselling Author Suzanne Brockmann

Suspense or Thriller?
Open question, GoodReads readers! What do you feel is the difference between suspense and thrillers? I classify most of my books as suspense. In fact I get grumpy when a review dings a book with “this isn’t a thriller.” Exactly right! I actually refer to my books as “psychological suspense” because I love suspense that gets deep into internal POV and personal issues.
One of the adages I’ve heard is that with suspense, you have no idea who the bad guy is. With a thriller, you often know exactly who the antagonist is and the thrill lies in the chase. (That definitely applies to my Jane Doe thrillers.) Then, of course, there are police procedurals, crime fiction, mysteries, spy games, etc.
WHAT’S YOUR TAKE? How do you define suspense vs. thrillers?
