Nobody's Perfect
Being a Christian doesn't make you better than anybody else, and it doesn't give you a license to judge. There has only ever been one perfect person. The saddest thing in the world is when Christians push people away from Him. Your faith shouldn't be a weapon used to condemn; it should be an open invitation to God's love. Show people who He is by being LIKE HIM. But don't fool yourself into thinking you're perfect. Everybody messes up and everybody needs forgiveness, but everybody is welcome at the table.

People Are Gifts
Why do we treat our blessings as burdens? Why are we so quick to get annoyed or frustrated with the people closest to us? Why are the people we love the most, often the ones we treat the worst? Maybe it's because we give so much of ourselves to them, or maybe it's because we know they still love us at our worst. Whatever the reason, the truth is that people are our greatest gifts from the Lord.
I want to do my best to look at them through my Father's eyes, giving them all the love He so freely gives to me. They're not perfect, but neither am I. Unconditional love doesn't have strings attached, nor does it ever get tired. Lord, make me an instrument of your love.

Love God, Love Others

I hope you're all raising your hands😉
Unfortunately, there seems to be a disconnect between those things. We love God, but we leave it up to Him to love others. We're too busy, too superior, too scared...whatever excuse we can find. Loving others isn't a priority in our lives, even though we know God calls us to do it. In fact, the two greatest commandments are to love God and to love others.
And loving others is actually an extension of our love for God. Treating His children with kindness is a way of honoring and worshiping Him. He delights in His people when they unite and hold each other up. He created us to help each other through life, not make it harder on each other. Love is not an option; it is a command.

End the Cycle
You can't control other people's actions, but you can control your reactions. When someone hurts you, you can continue the cycle by hurting them back. Or you can rise above it, be better, end the cycle. You can walk around hurting others because you've been hurt. Or you can refuse to let the pain cripple you. You can make an active choice to be different than what's been done to you. You can decide to spread kindness and positivity, even if you're treated poorly. You can't control anybody else. But you alone can decide what YOU do. End the cycles, break the chains, be the difference.

Life as a Christian in today's world can be tough, and that's why we all need to stick together. Our first priority should be pointing others to Christ through our actions and our words. Following His guidance includes Biblical understanding and active prayer. Through this blog, I hope to offer wisdom, insight, and relatability to others. Much love to all. XOXO
