Results of Blog Book Tour

My month long blog book tour for my novel, I Wish I Could Remember You, is over now and I'm sorry to see it end.  If was fun to read reviews from bloggers even if some reviews were not the four star or even three star review I was hoping for. What I did take from this experience was how to not let bad reviews get me down. Everyone has different tastes which means not everyone will like my novel.

Now on to the results.  I didn't see many sales from this blog tour but I did gain a few reviews. I would have liked to have seen both but I will take what I can get, so I'm happy to have the reviews.

Would I do another another book tour? I probably would but next time I probably wouldn't go for a month long tour.  It was a bit pricey for the amount of book sales I received and the reviews I received from it.
But I would do maybe a one week, or two week tour, which would be cheaper.

Would I go with BookBear again?  Yes, I would. They promoted my book on Twitter and Facebook and in their newsletter like they said they would.  They also put my novel in front of bloggers to review like they said they would.  The organizer of my tour was Alice, and I have to say she was wonderful to work with. Anytime I had a question or concern she emailed me back right away and took care of my problem.  She went above and beyond many times, so I would go with their services again.

Well those are the results of my blog book tour.  Thanks for reading.

Blog Book Tour

My month long blog book tour starts May 9, 2016.  I did research on the internet regarding blog tours.  I looked at several blog tour companies while trying to decide which one to go with. It was hard finding reviews for some of the companies but I finally decided to go with BookBear. I have read articles that blog tours have been good for some authors but other authors not so much.  I wanted to take the plunge and see for myself.  I guess it can’t hurt because any exposure at all is good, but if you hear me screaming it means it’s not going so well. lol.   I will write another post once the month is over to let you know how well it goes and if it helped me gain any sales. If not like I said before exposure of any kind is always a good thing, so I will be happy if I just receive a few reviews out of it.

Temper Tantrums

Have you ever worked on a manuscript for months and months and thought you had caught every mistake or error?  After you received feedback from your editor or beta reader you realized you had more work to do.  Sometimes when this happens to me I have a tiny temper tantrum in my head.  I think why did I ever try to write a novel? What made me think I could do this?  I have to take a small break (by small I mean a few days—lol) and then I can get back to writing and making changes.  Sometimes a break is needed so I can adjust my attitude and get back to doing what I love—writing.

Overwhelmed

My first novel was released a little over a week ago and I am excited but a little overwhelmed. Now I have to learn to advertise and market my novel. The whole process brings me back to being overwhelmed. If anyone knows any good tips for marketing and advertising let me know.  If I find any good resources I will do the same for you.

Thanks for reading my first blog post.
