"Corryville" audio book

My western, "Corryville", is now available as an audio book from Solstice Publishing. This is my first audio book and I'm pretty excited about it. Should I be? How do you, as a reader, feel about audio books?

And it's all coming together...

Ahhh. That's the sigh you hear when a writer passes the 45,000 word mark AND finally ties an errant chapter to the rest of the story at the same time. There'll be an even bigger sigh (and possibly a sip of some tasty beverage) when I see 50,000. The sequel to "Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light" grows ever closer!

Progress

Finally blasted through a major sticking point in the sequel to "Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light". Raced through another thousand words in pretty short order. It was so easy, I can't believe I didn't see it sooner. Time now to start tying it all together and begin working my way towards the end.

Writer's Work Ethic

I WILL finish the sequel to "Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light" on time. Writers who won't finish a story when a publisher is waiting should at least consider doing something else with their time.

"Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light" sequel

I just passed the 40,000 word mark on the sequel to "Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light". After the short hiatus that was brought on by my schedule over the holiday season, it sure feels good to be writing again. And to see some progress!

Progress

Getting some more writing done today. I figure I've got about 20,000 more words to go, give or take a scene of witchy detective noir or two.

Transitions...

Just wrote a pretty good scene for the sequel to "Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light". Now if I can just make a logical transition to the next one and continue to move the story forward. Details, details...

Random House/Penguin merger

Looks like Random House and Penguin are going to merge. I wonder if this a good thing or a bad thing for writers, readers, other publishing houses, small press, etc.

Radio Interview

If you missed my discussion of "Jasmine's Tale" on this morning's "Amy's Table" radio show (and the rest of this great Halloween theme episode) and you have even a smidgen of interest you can listen at your leisure at this link...

Book signing

A reminder: Thursday, October 25th at 7:00 pm, I will be at the Joseph Beth bookstore in Crestview Hills, Kentucky to discuss and sign my book "Jasmine's Tale: Darkness And Light". Fellow Post Mortem Press author Patricia Gligore will also be there with her novel, "Mixed Messages". This is the first signing for Jasmine, and was very hard to put together, so a good turnout would be great!
