LANCÔME X PROENZA SCHOULER
When I first heard that Lancôme was collaborating with Proenza Schouler I was so excited to see how they would collaborate. What I discovered was a bright and electric colour collection. The packaging is so fun, bold and eye catching. Who doesn’t love a mod moment?
The Collection
The Lancôme x Proenza Schouler collection contains two variations of an Eye Palette (£50) which are available in a cool or warm option. Each palette has a variety of ten shades with all different finishes. I personally love the warm palette because I think the orangey tones would look gorgeous this coming Autumn. I can’t believe I’m talking about Autumn either…
I was also super excited to see a Cushion Highlighter (£30) because by now you know I love cushion products more than anything in this world. The formula of this highlighter is sheer, but buildable and I love that it’s so easy to travel with. I love cushions so much because they create the ultimate glow.
There are also four shades of L’Absolu Rouge Lipsticks which cost £25.50 each, three shades of the iconic Matte Shakers (£19.50), four shades of the Lip Kajal Duo (£25.50) which are cool because they come with a lip pencil and matte lipstick at one end, and a satin gloss at the other, four shades of Ombre Hypnôse Kajals (£20) and last but certainly not least a burgundy shade of the Monsieur Big (£21).
Although the collection is bold and bright it’s all so wonderfully wearable. I have to say I’m still drawn towards the nude lipstick, but I also lovvvvee the multi-use kajals! They can be used as liners or all over for a super easy to do smokey eye. I personally have been loving the minimal brown shade but I think the grey one is also really unique and neutral.
This collection is available exclusively at John Lewis here.

MY BEACH DAY ESSENTIALS
Affiliate links are marked with an *
I don’t know about you guys, but as soon as the Summer starts I have an overwhelming urge to head to the BEACH! Luckily for me, I’ve already had the chance to spend a couple of weeks by the ocean, but now that I’m back home in London, I’ve been suffering with a serious case of beach FOMO. I spent some time in the sand when I went back home to Canada (watch the vlog here!) and I was also grateful to spend some time by the ocean in the US over the 4th of July celebrations. Since then, I’ve become a bit of a pro at packing my beach bag with everything I could ever need, so I thought it would be fun to show you what I can’t live without for a day by the sea.
Of course I can’t head to the beach without a bottle of sunscreen, and for me the *Shiseido Expert Sun Ageing Protection Lotion (SPF50+) is the one that makes the cut. What I love about this stuff is that it never feels heavy or sticky on my skin; it’s a dream to apply and soaks in pretty much instantly! Alongside the sunscreen, I’ll always pop a face mist in the bottom of my bag. This *MV Organics Rose Hydrating Mist gives my skin a boost of extra hydration, helps to lock in moisture and feels super refreshing on a hot, sunny day. It’s also packed with rose petal scent so it smells incredible!
It’s easy to forget that lips are vulnerable to sun damage too, so I always make sure to have one of the *Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Protectant Sticks in my beach bag. What’s great about this is that it’s nourishing, soothing and has SPF15 within the formula. I’ll apply this whenever my lips feel like they need some extra hydration. To keep the sun out of my eyes (and hide my tangled beach hair!) I’ve been reaching for my favourite *Outdoor Voices ‘Doing Things’ Hat pretty much everyday this Summer! It’s super comfortable and I just love that simple design. You’re going to see me wearing this A LOT over the next few months…
Speaking of Outdoor Voices, *this super cute pink bikini has been my go-to over the past few weeks. I tend to go for the more sporty style swimwear pieces, and this bikini fits the bill. I love love LOVE the different shades of pink and the way this baby fits makes me feel comfortable and and confident! I also love the way my favourite *BKR water bottle matches perfectly (IKR, it’s the little things!). For haircare I always make sure to pack my bottle of the *Ouai Wave Spray with me to the beach. Just a couple of spritz’ keeps my beachy waves under control and gives me that surfy vibe. My *mini Wet Brush also makes sure to keep any tangles at bay.
I don’t tend to wear any makeup to the beach, but if I do happen to pop a little summin’ summin’ on, I’ll usually just stick to the basics. My favourite *It Cosmetics CC Cream has been a constant in my beach bag this Summer. The formula is super buildable so you can really achieve the level of coverage that you want. It also gives me a gorgeous, glowing finish and feels super lightweight and comfortable. I like to apply mine with a damp *Beauty Blender and just work it onto the areas of my skin that need it rather than covering my whole face.
After adding a little base, I’ll usually tie things together with a sweep of mascara and some colour on my lips. My go-to mascara for this Summer HAS to be the *Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara. You guys know I’m already a huge fan of the regular *Monsieur Big, so when I discovered that they had a waterproof version…I was shook! I did soooo much swimming back in Canada and this stuff never failed me. My lashes stayed perfect all day and didn’t crumble or run whatsoever. Amazing! For lips I’ve been obsessed with the Revlon Balm Stains. This one in the shade ‘Just Bitten’ is a dream and was my go-to during the 4th of July celebrations in NYC.
Make sure you watch the video down below if you want to hear more about my beach day essentials! Leave me a comment and let me know what you couldn’t live without in your beach bag. I’ll keep it in mind for my next Summer trip! Now get me back to the ocean…

A WEEK IN CANADA!
Affiliate links are marked with *
A couple of weeks back I packed up my suitcase and hopped on a plane back home to Waterloo, Ontario, in search of some serious ~ chill~ time. It had been a whole 6 months since I was last in Canada, so I was super excited to spend some quality time with the fam, catch up with a few pals and cure those poutine cravings.
I’ve missed my family every day ever since I moved to London all those years ago, but since living in my new apartment I think I’ve started to miss them even more! I can’t tell you how nice it felt to spend a whole week at my Mom’s house with her and my Grandma (and Louis Duncan of course!) and just do nothing at all. Ahhhh….! I also went for Taco Tuesday with my brother and his friends and went road trippin’ with Eric and my Dad to go and see my Grandmama.
The UK has been experiencing a heat wave these past few weeks (IKR, shock!) so I was kinda worried that I’d miss out on all the sunshine while I was back home. Luckily for me, the weather was beautiful pretty much the whole time I was there and I spent most of my days on my cactus floatie in the pool…bliss! Mom and I also went on a cute little road trip to Grand Bend and spent all day paddling in the ocean and reading our books on the sand. I’m SUCH a Summer baby and I felt so content soaking up that Vitamin D in my bikini!
Me, my Mom, my Brother and my Cousin all have our birthdays during the Summer, so on my last night at home my Grandma threw us the cutest little birthday party in our back yard and made her *infamous* lamb cake (check out the vlog to see how it turned out! Lol!) I had the best week with my fam and I already can’t wait to book my next trip back home. I just wish I could bring my lil man Reggie with me!
I actually vlogged the whole time I was in Canada so defo make sure you watch the two videos below if you want to see what else I got up to while I was out there! I’d love to know what you guys are up to this Summer and if you have any vacations planned. Leave me a comment and let me know what’s on your radar for the next few months!

LUXURY PRODUCTS WITH AN AFFORDABLE PRICE TAG
Affiliate links are marked with an asterisk *
Although I’m a sucker for luxury products, you might have noticed that a lot of the most used (and most loved) items in my beauty collection are actually things that I’ve picked up from the drugstore, or gems that I’ve discovered while doing the weekly grocery shop. Luxury beauty doesn’t always have to mean luxury prices, luckily for us there are TONS of beauty brands out there who are amazing at creating luxe-feeling products without the luxe-looking price tags. I’m always stumbling upon new beauty products that feel just as amazing as some of the more expensive items in my skincare cabinet or haircare drawer. For this blog post I thought I’d tell you guys about some of my favourite affordable beauty products in the stores right now.
Let’s kick things off with one of my all time favourite brands…Burts Bees. The *Burts Bees cleansing oil is one of my favourite affordable cleansers in my collection. It’s one of those products that gives you instant results as soon as you use it; it’s amazing at removing every trace of makeup and always leaves my skin feeling super refreshed afterwards. Another *Burts Bees product that I’ve been obsessed with for YEARS is the *Intense Hydration Treatment Mask. This is one of the best affordable treatments that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried A LOT) and it’s also great if you suffer with sensitivity (like me) because it’s really gentle and nourishing. I can literally feel my skin thanking me whenever I’ve used this treatment, it’s one of the most hydrating affordable masks you’ll try, trust me.
The *Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser is another affordable cleanser in my beauty collection. You can use this cleanser during your morning and night time routine, but since my skin is so sensitive and this stuff gives such a deep cleanse, I tend to use it once a day before I hop in the shower in the evenings, it does a fab job at ridding my skin of ‘the day’ if that makes sense. Another Pixi product that I can’t get enough of is the *Hydrating Milky Mist. For me, mists are one of those products that scream luxury, and this is one of the BEST and most affordable options in my skincare wardrobe. What I love about this mist is that it’s super lightweight. It’s one of those formulas that absorbs into your skin really quickly so you can go ahead and apply your *serum or *day cream without having to wait around for the product to dry. Love both of these!
Of course I couldn’t put this post together without mentioning the *Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. You guys know by now that this stuff is my holy grail and if you don’t…where have you been lol! I literally couldn’t imagine my skincare routine without this stuff. I always get the bottle that’s targeted for *sensitive skin, but they also do a couple of other versions for *dry, *oily and combination complexions. I’ve been using this cleansing water for years and it’s something that I’ll probably still be using when I’m 90 years old! If you haven’t tried it yet, you MUST!
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned the Mixa Restoring Body Lotion in a fair few favourites videos over the years! My good friend Alessandra recommended that I try this lotion and I haven’t stopped using it since I picked up a bottle! I actually used up all of my Restoring Lotion so I’ve been using the Mixa Soothing Body Lotion for the last couple of weeks. This lotion is perfect for dry and sensitive skin since the formula is enriched with with tons of dreamy ingredients like calming oat milk and nourishing shea butter. Mixa lotions feel super duper silky smooth to apply and leave your body feeling baby soft from morning till’ night. LOVE THESE!! Pick up a bottle next time you’re at the drugstore, you won’t regret it!
Natural products can often be on the pricier end of the spectrum but the Yope natural shower gel is an inexpensive green beauty product that I’ve been using for years. Right now I have the geranium shower gel in my bathroom which I love because it smells sooo fresh and floral with a zingy citrus hit (just the kinda scent I like). This stuff feels so luxurious!
Onto hair stuff now and if you’re looking for some seriously luxury-feeling but totally affordable haircare you neeeeeeed to give the *Ganier Ultimate Blends range a whirl. Honestly I LOVE this stuff and I know that I’ve mentioned the *Garnier Ultimate Blends ‘Honey Treasures’ shampoo & *conditioner a billion times but I simply couldn’t leave them out of this post because they’re truly amazing. The Honey Treasures shampoo and conditioner are actually strength restoring haircare products which means that they’re perfect for you if your hair is dry or damaged. When I started dying my hair I noticed how fragile it started to feel and that’s when I discovered my love for the Honey Treasures range, this shampoo and conditioner really gives my hair the boost of health and resilience that it craves. (P.s. I am also crazy in love with the *Honey Treasures leave-in-mask. I love to use a scoop whenever my hair needs some extra TLC. The definition of luxurious!)
Let’s finish things up with the haircare…of course I had to mention the trusty *Batiste Clean & Classic Dry Shampoo because who doesn’t love this stuff? I honestly do not know what I would do without it, not only does it do an amazing job at making my hair look and feel totally refreshed, it’s also great for adding extra volume and texture into my style. You’ve probably heard me talk about the *Ouai Texturising Spray (which is uhhhhmazing) so many times and I feel like the *Batiste Dry Shampoo is the perfect affordable alternative. To use this stuff I’ll just separate loads of different sections of my hair and spray some dry shampoo into the roots before giving it some extra volume with my fingertips. I’ve used tons of different dry shampoos in the past but Batiste will always be my holy grail.
I hope you guys enjoyed getting the inside scoop on some of my favourite affordable products in my beauty collection! If there’s anything that you think I should know about then please leave me a comment down below and tell me what it is that you recommend. I’m always looking to try new things so I’m excited to hear your suggestions!

AN INTRODUCTION TO HAECKLES
Affiliate links are marked with an *
*‘Haeckles’ is a natural fragrance and skincare brand that I’ve been swooning over for years, so a little while back I decided to bite the bullet and pick up some things to try for myself. Their beautiful natural skin, hair and body products are all made from local ingredients and formulated in their clifftop lab just a stones throw away from the store. I’ve heard a ton of people say how amazing their products are so I knew I had to pick some up and see if they were worth the hype. I’m super excited to give these a whirl at bath time.
As a self confessed fragrance and candle addict, the piece from my Haeckles haul that I’m most excited about is this *amazing chalk room diffuser! I’ve never ever seen one of these before but basically the chalk diffuser comes with a little bottle of essential oil which you pour into the brass bowl that the chalk is sitting in. Once you’ve poured 50ml of liquid into the bowl the chalk will slowly begin to absorb the oil and release a scent into your room. As with all Haeckles goodies, the chalk used for this diffuser was gathered from the nearby Kent coast line before being taken into the Haeckles lab. I love finding cool new ways to inject fragrance into our home so I’m totally in love with this magical diffuser!
You guys know by now that I’m a total bath person, so when I saw this freaky little bag of seaweed in the store I knew I just HAD to have it! This is basically a *traditional seaweed bath and all you do is pop the bag into your hot bath and leave it in there while you soak. Seaweed is said to be jam packed with natural antioxidants and essential vitamins and has been used for generations to repair skin, help fight signs of ageing and even battle cellulite, arthritis and eczema. What’s great about this is that you can use the seaweed again and again; just leave it to dry and use it within 3 days. P.S. Once you’re done with your seaweed you can also pop it in your garden and use it as a fertiliser! I’m probably going to try sprinkling some in my cactus pots and see what happens! Cool right!?
As someone who suffers with dryness (especially during the winter!) I’m always on the hunt for an exfoliator that will nourish and protect my skin. I picked up one of the *exfoliating seaweed blocks and I’m really excited to see how this works! This is made from a vegetable based, vegan formula and is jam packed with with lovely natural ingredients like coriander seeds and peppercorns which help to scrub away yucky dead cells and keep your skin feeling silky smooth. All you do is use this like you would use a normal bar of soap; moisten the block and massage it onto your skin in gentle, circular motions. A one stop shop to soft, supple skin. I’ll keep you posted on this one!
Of course I couldn’t leave Haeckles without picking up a candle, right? What made me fall in love with the Haeckles candles was the fact that they’re named after the GPS co-ordinates at which the fragrance was captured! Amazing huh!? I had a hard time picking which one to take home since they ALL smelt incredible! I’m really happy with *the one I chose (which smells really woody and earthy) but I also have my eye on the *elderflower scent which apparently smells like sweet elderflower and fresh apple, yum!
One product in the skincare section that I got especially excited about was the *Eco Marine Extract facial cream. This is a soothing, anti-inflammatory formula, rich in omega 3 and strerols. Apparently this stuff is great at reducing the appearance of fine lines (hopefully something I don’t need just yet!) as well as providing TONS of hydration (something I definitely DO need!) I’m excited to give this a go, it looks like it’s going to feel super duper dreamy on my skin.
The last thing I picked up was one of the gorgeous *seaweed and sea lavender lip balms. I’ll be honest, I totally picked this up entirely for the cute golden tub, but I’m also really intrigued by the use of ‘sea lavender’ within the balm. I’m always suffering with super dry lips during the winter so I’m looking forward to popping this in my bag and giving it a whirl. Curious to find out what sea lavender smells like!
I’m super intrigued by all of the products I picked up and I can’t wait to try them out for myself. Do any of these Haeckles goodies tickle your fancy? Let me know in the comments which one you’re intrigued by!

LET’S TALK ABOUT CLÉ DE PEAU
Affiliate links are marked with a *
I remember when I first started making YouTube videos EVERYONE was raving about the *Clé De Peau Concealer. It was so expensive back then and is STILL sooooo expensive right now, but Clé De Peau was one of those beauty brands that was always on my bucket list to try. Until a few weeks ago I never even knew where I could get my hands on some Clé De Peau goodies, but while I was in the airport I spotted a Clé De Peau counter staring back at me from duty free and I just had to pick up a few bits to try. Of course I made it my mission to grab myself one of the infamous *concealer sticks but I also picked up a *foundation, *powder and *lipstick to try too. I’m so happy I was finally able to get my hands on some stuff from a brand that I’ve been swooning over for years
The stand out product for me has to be the *Radiant Fluid Foundation. It’s prreeeettyy expensive not gonna lie, but I feel like this is such a special product to have in my makeup collection. This is a super duper lightweight base that gives my skin a really natural-looking dewy glow. It’s blended with luxury ingredients like Japanese Pearl which gives the skin a satin smooth finish, Theanine which evens tone and Golden Silk Essence which improves clarity and suppleness. This is a foundation that I’m going to be saving for extra special occasions!
I also picked up one of the *Refining Pressed Powders which I’ve been really enjoying using. What I love about this stuff is that it’s super duper fine and feels incredibly silky on the face. Again, this is great for improving the appearance of uneven skin tone and generally giving the complexion a luminous finish. I’ve been using a little puff to sweep into the product before gently patting it onto my face. This stuff gives my makeup lasting power without feeling too heavy or dry. Love it!
The *Clé De Peau Concealer was the FIRST item on my list so I just had to grab one as soon as I saw it! I would kinda liken it to the *Nars Soft Matte Concealer (which you guys know I’m crazy for) but it’s possibly even dryer than that. I know I might not be making this sound very appealing but actually the dryness of the formula helps it to really stick to your skin and last all day. I usually apply this concealer straight onto my face from the stick and use my fingertips to blend it out. It gets a lot easier to work with and blend once you start patting it into the skin so don’t be alarmed by the dryness at first! I’ve been using this A LOT and I absolutely adore it! I know it’s a major splurge but I’ve always wanted to try this out and I’m so happy I finally did!
You guys know I’m the biggest lipstick fangirl EVER so when I saw the *Clé De Peau Enriched Lip Luminizers staring back at me from the shelf I knew I couldn’t leave without one! I feel like these are the luxury version of the *Surratt Lipsliques which you all know are one of my all time FAVOURITE lipstick formulas. I got mine in the shade ’Sparkling Light Pink’ which looks kinda scary in the packaging but it’s such a sheer, glossy finish and gives my lips gorgeous juicy pink sheen. I think these are around $35 so they’re a great product to choose if you want to get a feel for the brand before committing to something more expensive like the foundation. I’ve fallen in love with these Lip Luminizers!
I’m definitely a Clé De Peau convert but I would say that there are a lot of great dupes out there for these products so you really don’t have to spend a lot to get something that feels almost as luxury as the items that I mentioned. I think I was the most impressed by the *foundation and *concealer so I’m really happy that I bit the bullet and brought these home with me. If you’re looking for some makeup that feels super duper special then *Clé De Peau is definitely worth trying.

10 FRAGRANCES I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW!
Affiliate links are marked with a *
You’ve probably noticed by now that fragrances are one of my favourite things to collect. I’m one of those people that can’t walk out the door with a spritz of something on my skin, it just doesn’t feel *right*. Much like my makeup and wardrobe, I tend to switch up the scents that I reach for as the seasons change. During Summer I’ll usually gravitate towards the lighter, more floral scents in my collection, but in the winter time I love to wear something heavier, deeper and slightly smoky. I thought I’d put together a post to show you some of the perfumes that I’ve been obsessing over these past few months. I just wish you guys could smell them through the screen!
I count myself lucky to have quite a few Tom Ford fragrances in my collection and although I adore each and every one of them I have to say that the *Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme is the one I love the most. This perfume pretty much screams sexy to me! It’s super heavy and smoky and lasts all day. Noir is a unique blend of bitter orange oil, ginger extract and spice, paired with notes of rose absolute, mandarin and vanilla. This is the kind of scent I’ll usually reach for if I’m heading out for the evening or going to an event, it makes me feel super glam.
*Fresh ‘Cannabis Santal’
Despite the fact that I think this might actually be a man’s fragrance, I’ve been absolutely in love with this perfume ever since I got it a few months back! The top notes of Cannabis Santal are surprisingly citrusy (brazillian orange, bergamot and black plum) and work beautifully with the sweet and smoky bottom notes (patchouli, cannabis, chocolate and vanilla musk). I’ve been really enjoying wearing this, it definitely makes me want to add more Fresh perfumes to my collection. Obsessed!
*Serge Kutens ‘Un Bois Vanille’
This fragrance smells as delicious as the name would suggest. *Un Bois Vanille is a dreamy concoction of coconut milk, black vanilla absolute and caramelised benzoin. Usually this kind of fragrance would be waaaay to sweet for me (I like something with a bit of a kick) but the notes of liquorice (YUM!!), bitter almond and myrrh give this perfume its sexy, smoky edge. This is one of the perfumes in my collection that feels super luxurious to wear. I love it!
*Liquids Imaginaires ‘Sancti’
This scent is hard to describe because it’s super light and citrusy but it also has a lot of depth at the same time. Its top notes of fresh grapefruit, pomelo and tangerine work are given an earthy edge with its undertones of cedar, patchouli and nutmeg. I don’t tend to talk about this perfume all that often but it’s actually been a favourite of mine for quite some time.
*Byredo ‘Cuir Obscur’
The top notes of sweet amaretto and nutmeg in this fragrance are mixed with floral notes of ylang ylang and rose. Giving this perfume its deep, earthy undertone are notes of black leather, patchouli and musk. The *Byredo Cuir Obscur is one of my favourite ‘everyday’ fragrances; it’s super wearable and the kind of perfume that has just the right balance of sugar and spice (and all things nice).
*Diptyque ‘Eau Deulle’
The *Diptyque ‘Eau Deulle’ is one of the perfumes in my collection that I reach for A LOT during the winter months. This is one of those fragrances that I find difficult to describe because it’s blended with some really unique notes like bourbon vanilla, earthy rockrose and musky ambroxan, but to sum it up it’s a sweet, warm and sensual fragrance that I always enjoy wearing.
*Le Labo ‘The Noir 25’
If deep, musky scents are your thang then *‘The Noir 29’ by Le Labo is a fragrance that you’re going to lurrrve just as much as I do. What draws me to Le Labo Noir is that it’s really deep and kinda sexy but surprisingly fresh at the same time. Within the perfume is a combination of light notes such as bergamot, fig leaves and bay leaves, alongside deeper, more woody notes of vetiver, tobacco and musk. P.s. If you look closely you can see that my bottle has my name on it (!!!) If you buy it from the *Le Labo site you can actually get your bottle customised especially for you. I feel like that extra special touch makes it the perfect gift for the holidays!
*Escentric Molecules ‘Molecule 02’
Much like the Molecule 01 fragrance, the thing that makes *Molecule 02 so special is its unique ability to adapt its scent to each individual. I find the Eccentric Molecules fragrances super hard to describe because it’s kind of impossible to put your finger on the exact notes but I feel like this perfume compliments the natural scent of my skin and I really like that. Compared to Molecule 01, Molecule 02 is a slightly warmer, more nutty scent, making it perfect for the colder months. If you haven’t experienced the Eccentric Molecules fragrances you should definitely try them and see what I’m talking about. There’s something quite magical about Escentric Molecules!
*Maison Louis Marie ’04 Bois De Balincourt’
My good friend Carrie actually recommended this *Maison Louis Marie perfume to me and I’ve been OBSESSED with it ever since (thanks Carrie!!) What’s unique about this is that it’s actually a perfume oil so I feel like it lasts way longer than your normal ‘spray on’ kinda scent. I feel like this perfume is quite creamy but it also has notes of vetiver, nutmeg and cinnamon which give it that sensual, earthy undertone. I’m completely obsessed with this fragrance and I can’t thank Carrie enough for bringing it into my life! It’s one of my all time favourites.
*Glossier ‘You’
Similarly to the Eccentric Molecules perfume, *Glossier ‘You’ is really tough to describe because essentially it smells just like ‘you’. When I heard that Glossier were bringing out a fragrance I kinda expected it to be really sweet (sort of like their ‘birthday cake’ balm dot com) but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it and discovered that it has quite an earthy feel. The top notes of iris root and pink pepper give it a spicy, woody kick and the base notes of ambrox and musk give it a comforting, warm feel. The bright pink bottle doesn’t reflect the scent in any way but I actually really like that. I feel like this perfume has that ‘smells like me but better’ vibe to it. Try it and let me know what you think! I think this one will surprise you.
I hope you guys enjoyed learning a little bit about some of my favourite fragrances for Winter. I find it quite tricky to describe scents but hopefully you got the gist! Leave me a comment and tell me what perfume you’re reaching for lately. I’m always so intrigued to know what scent people are wearing!
