Ha publicado más de treinta libros y ha colaborado en más de cincuenta publicaciones de diversos países. Ha recibido varios premios nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos el premio nacional de cuento infantil “Juan de la Cabada”, el premio nacional de cuento “San Luis Potosí”, el premio nacional de cuentos sobre el mar “Timón de Oro” y el premio internacional de relato histórico “VI Continente”, otorgado en España. Parte de su obra ha sido antologada y traducida al inglés, al francés, al italiano, al griego, al portugués, al húngaro y al urdu.
