The Final Story - An Author's Commentary
Five books down, and one story left to tell before I end my first book series. I am honestly having trouble believing that what began as a way to pass time during a time of recuperation has turned into my life. After thinking about what I could do to celebrate this momentous occasion, I decided to take some time to reflect on my Darks Descent Series for a little author commentary.
I wrote Darks Descent in a week. I stayed up through the night typing away on my cell phone (this was before I

Flail Number 06: Lost As Usual
I have virtually no sense of direction. When I first got my driver's license, I had to GPS my way from home to school and back everyday for the first three months at least (not that was much help half the time). You see, one key characteristic of GPS is that sometimes it gets a little slow and you miss a turn. Then, it recalculates.
Recalculating... the GPS equivalent of giving the map to the kid
Anyway, I have countless recalculating stories, including the time I started onto the highway and

Going in Style (2017) Review
"You're never too old to get even." reads the tagline of Warner Bros' remake of "Going in Style" starring Morgan Freeman,Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin as three old friends facing hard times. Rated PG 13 for crude language, the film explores the adventure of three lifelong friends, who after years of being stepped on and shoved to the side, decide to get back at the one who has hurt them the most: the bank. "Going in Style" is an amusing movie thatproves crime comes in all ages.

Beauty and the Beast Live-Action Remake Review
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale, story, and Disney movie. That being said, I was very excited to hear about the live-action remake with Emma Watson. I was not disappointed. Here are my thoughts, void of any major spoilers.
The Backstory Scene
The movie begins with the tale of how the Beast became a beast, and we get to see it unfold before our eyes. This was a definite good move because although the stained-glass window method used in the animated version was great, this allows

Flail Number 05: Wake Up
Sometimes I have to wake up very early in the morning. No, I am not being overly dramatic either. When I have a Science Olympiad Competition, for example, we leave school on the bus at five in the morning. Well, I like to be early, so I arrive at 4:30. Also, I like to have lots of time, so although I live 15 minutes away, I am ready to leave by four. In addition, I am very slow. That is why I wake up at least an hour and fifteen minutes before I leave on any given day. I woke up at 2:45 in the

Flail Number 03: My Open Door Policy
I dont get gas often. Ill actually drive as much as I can on empty before I finally go to the gas station. This is due partly to the fact that my car is good on gas, and partly to the fact that I dont like to pump gas. Theres this full service gas station down the road from my school and it is great. I always go there because they pump for you, the gas is cheap, and sometimes they will mess up and put in an extra two or three cents for FREE! BONUS!!!

Flail Number 02: I'm Really Not That Bad of a Driver
Everyone has bad days, but I seem to have them more than others.
Dont get me wrong, Im not some old grumpy pessimistic my-life-is-
terrible kind of guy (like my father), I just flail very frequently. Im not
complaining; I know how to laugh at myself. (Otherwise I wouldnt be
writing this, now would I?)
