Not Over
I am apparently pulling a George Martin on my final book of the Children of Dreki series. Please know I am still planning to release it.
Since I started the series I have been married and had my first child. I have found these challenges made writing difficult. I won't forget or abandon the series though.
I apologize for the long wait!!!

THE GIVEAWAY!
The giveaway is over and it went very well! Two lucky people are receiving free paperbacks of TYR. The tricky part will be getting them mailed out as I am on a crazy work schedule but I will get them in the mail ASAP.
Thank you to everyone who entered! I hope to have another giveaway in the near future.
Peace!

The Third Children of Dreki Novel
War changes things...
No, wait, that's the introduction to Fallout 4.
Initially I made the decision to write all three Children of Dreki novels BEFORE pursuing publishing or even editing. What resulted is a TYR that looks slightly different than it's first draft and a SYX that only vaguely resembles it's original form. RYN, the third Children of Dreki novel, can no longer be used. The entire first draft has to be chucked and completely rewritten.
I still think drafting the entire series before editing was good because it allowed me to map out the story and figure out what I wanted to do but editing changes things. Sometimes, drastically.
So what does this mean? Initially I wanted to release RYN in the spring of 2017 but because I now have to completely rewrite the entire novel the release day will be pushed back. We're looking at a Fall 2017 release now. Maybe later if myself or my editor run into any snags.
In the meantime TYR and SYX are live and would love some attention (if you haven't reviewed, please do!) and I have some other stories that I hope to release in the spring (surprise! Not telling what they are yet).
Follow me on Facebook (N.R.Tupper) or on Twitter if you want to be kept updated as to RYN'S progress. Especially on the Facebook page I tend to talk about how things are coming along.
Peace!
And have a GREAT Christmas and an even better New Year!

SYX Edits
The edits for SYX are coming along slowly but surely.
My life has been pretty hectic since the launch of TYR. I'm so glad I made the decision to write the entire series before publishing. It was mostly because I was excited about the story and wanted to get it out but I had been told that it can be difficult to write a second book after the first one is released. People get discouraged, or intimidated based on the response.
In my case I am overwhelmed with the wonderful support of my community but also of those online who decided to just give my book a try, despite not knowing me.
Thank you to everyone who has read TYR. Hopefully you liked it, and if you did, hopefully you told a friend about it.
I am working hard to get the second book published this Fall at earliest and this winter at latest!

TYR Book Launch
My local library very kindly offered to host a book launch for my debut novel. Prior to their offer, I had been thinking I needed to do a signing, or a launch, but I was struggling with gathering the courage to take the next step.
The thing is, and I don't talk about this too often, I tend to get anxious in crowds. I'm not so vain that I think this thing is going to draw a huge crowd but there is that small off chance that lightning will strike and that small chance is enough to fill me with abject terror.
When I started this journey (publishing) I made the conscious decision to stop letting my fears control my life. And so, with heart in throat and eyes rolling back in my head (dead mental faint), I accepted their offer.
Tonight I go where no introverted socially anxious bookworm should go ... but I know I will be surrounded by good people, kind people, and somehow it will be okay.
Here's to conquering one more fear.
Here's to grabbing one more dream.
Here's to never giving up, no matter how scary the world seems.
Here's to you, joining me in this uphill climb.
Don't ever let your anxiety stop you from living. Better to be temporarily uncomfortable than permanently miserable because you're too afraid to move.
