It's a prequel to Born of the Phoenix giving an insight into Ravage and…moreI'm currently working on a short story for my blog call The Crimson Sapphires. It's a prequel to Born of the Phoenix giving an insight into Ravage and Patsy's lives before the events in the first novel. Ravage and Patsy have been friends since childhood and Crimson Sapphires helps to cement the catalyst for the defining moment in which they decided to go on this epic adventure across Sapphiron together. I'm also designing the story and plot for the sequel to Born of the Phoenix which has been really fun. Phoenix is my first novel and I'm excited about continuing the story and evolving as a writer.(less)

David Murray Forrester The idea surrounding Born of the Phoenix evolved from my love of strong, soulful and opinionated female protagonists from my favourite books and movie…moreThe idea surrounding Born of the Phoenix evolved from my love of strong, soulful and opinionated female protagonists from my favourite books and movies. Especially Red Sonja, Teresa from Claymore and Youko from The Twelve Kingdoms. As a young teen I read Joe Dever's Legends of Lone Wolf and became totally absorbed in fantasy worlds. I wanted to recreate that feeling by creating my own world with its unique history and lore and then place my characters into this living thriving world. (less)
