✨Hello lovelies! ✨My first writer’s post is up on my blog (link in bio). I loved reading through your comments yesterday—thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me! I felt like quite a few of you wanted to know more about plot, so that’s the first theme I’ve tackled. And since plot is such a vast topic, I honestly feel like I only scratched the surface with my thoughts. ✨ I’m planning to keep sharing the “For Writers” posts on Fridays, so if you have any other thoughts or requests, simply let me know! I will definitely plan to have a post about my agent—how I found her, how I queried her,etc— but I’ll probably share that one a little bit later down the road. ✨ Happy Friday! ✨

For a while now, I’ve wanted to draft a few blog posts about writing to help guide and encourage aspiring authors. The past few months have been busy for me as I’ve been editing THE QUEEN’S RESISTANCE and drafting my third book, but I am so happy to say that I finally have a little down time. And while I’m trying to make myself take a break, I’ve found that it’s really difficult for me to do. My mind is constantly scheming and dreaming, and I like to be working on something at all times. So, all of this to say…I’m very excited to plan and share a few posts on my website blog about writing! I’m hoping to publish a post every Friday, and I’d love to kick off the first post tomorrow. But I need your input! Aspiring authors, let me know in the comments the sort of posts you’d find most helpful! It can be anything from my tips on drafting, how I revise, how I plot, how I got my agent, etc. I’ll do my best to fashion the posts according to the requests.

And copy edits for THE QUEEN’S RESISTANCE are done! ✨This book is so close to being a final draft and I can’t even believe it. Taking a moment to celebrate with wildflowers in my hair and a cloud on my shoulder before I jump back into cleaning up my messy first draft of Book Three.
