“The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone. She was very old, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.”

For Writers Part Three is up on the blog today! One of the things I get frequently asked is how I got my publishing deal, and the answer is simple: it’s all because of my incredible agent, Suzie! ✨ Today I’m talking about how I found my agent, the steps I took to query her and I’m also sharing the resources that helped me along the way. I hope you find it helpful and encouraging, because I know querying is a very hard place to be! Link to the post is in my bio.✨ A quick note about this picture: It was taken this past October when I went to New York to visit my agency and publisher for the first time. So I had literally just met Suzie IRL after working with her for 2 years when this photo was taken! Hence why I’m holding my ARC so awkwardly. I was very excited.
