Tips for telling an official PayPal email from a spoof or scam (with a real example)

I got one of those PayPal spoofing emails and I wanted to share it. Let’s be clear, this email is not from Paypal. It’s a fake, designed to steal your info. If you’re ever unsure about anything you get from either eBay or Paypal, forward it to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com and they’ll verify for you if it’s real or not.

First eBay axes the Trading Assistant program then its heir apparent eBay Valet one year later

Can you believe it’s been two years since eBay announced they were terminating the Trading Assistant program? It’s particularly funny in light of the fact that they just announced they were shutting down eBay Valet, their in house heir apparently to the program.
