My play, Weak Days, to be featured in The Chameleon Theatre Circle’s New Play Festival this November
In all the hubbub lately, I forgot to share that my play, Weak Days, won in the one-act category of The Chameleon Theatre Circle’s 16th Annual New Play Contest. They’ll be a reading of the play with minimal staging at The Chameleon Theatre Circle’s New Play Festival on Saturday, November 7, 2015.I love this weird little play and I’m so grateful to The Chameleon Theatre Circle for feeling the same!
The festival itself starts at 9 AM and Weak Days itself should go up around 3:30 PM directed byJe...

When it’s for you versus when it’s for them
I have no problem marketing my own stuff because if I fail, who cares? The only person whose butt is on the line is me and even when I fail, I learn from it. But it’s a whole different feeling when it’s for someone else.
I posted that video the other day about bulk updating a calendar, shared it around the usual places and… that’s pretty much it. I didn’t obsess, I never looked at how many hits it got or anything. I made it because I wanted to make and whatever come for it, come from it. I’ve...

I accepted the #NaNoSelfieSprint Writing Challenge! (and it’s FUN, yo!)
How many words can you write in a 1 minute sprint with a random prompt? Because it’s one thing to talk a good game but when you’re under the pressure and the camera is rolling… can you deliver?
Want to know how many words I can write in a minute? What kind of coherence I can possibly churn out in that small of time? Watch this!
And, frankly, I think I could do better. I may take it a second time just to see if I can beat my count.
If you haven’t heard of the NaNo Selfie Sprint Challenge, it’...

Practice your Selling Assistance service before you start taking on clients
If you aren’t selling anywhere yet or have only limited experience, you should really get some practice selling before you begin. Clients are trusting you with their items and potential profits because you’re presenting yourself as an experienced seller. If you’re really just starting out yourself, you’re going to be making mistakes that could damage your reputation before you even get started! Even if you’re a veteran seller, selling items for someone else can be very diffe...

On that blasted ankle of mine…
My husband and I decided to take the little one to Disney World a few weeks ago because it was the last year we could do it in the off season without her missing school, there’d been a lot going on so we all badly needed a break and, well, YOLO basically. We had a lovely time apart from the bit where I was frolicking happily with my daughter and my body was like, “No youthful fun for you, old lady!” and shut that downimmediatelywitha horrifying swelling purple Class 2 sprain on BOTHsides of m...

SumAll stops supporting eBay & PayPal Import, will delete historical data
Bad news for users of SumAll. The service emerged early on as the best alternative when GoDaddy Bookkeeping, formerly Outright, which was itself the recommended eBay replacement for eBay Accounting Assistant (this is getting so ridiculous, you guys) started charging for their formerly free service. But while I was expecting bad news from SumAll eventually in the form of also moving to a paid service, I wasn’t expecting anything THIS bad.
SumAllannounced that they were launching a new site lau...

Multi-Channel Consignment Selling: List your items on multiple marketplaces for greater exposure
The healthiest business is never completely reliant on any one service or tool, which is why you’ll always want to be selling client items on a variety of platforms. There are many advantages of selling through multiple channels, from having increased exposure for your items to diversifying your selling so you’ll never be so dependent on a single marketplace that you’ll live and die by its changes. Multi-channel selling can mean spreading a client’s items out across several...

How to Bulk Import Events to a Google Calendar from a CSV file (NaNoWriMo MLs, this one’s for you!)
Adding a lot of events to a Google Calendar manually, one by one, can be really annoying but there’s a really simple way to import a whole list using a CSV file. Here’s a quick video to show you how!
This advice can, of course, be used for anyone who’s looking to bulk import their events. I just tailored the video the my fellow MLs because the NaNoWriMo site forces us into using Google Calendar so we’re all stuck with it and run into this problem every year.

Your Selling Situation: Where and how should I sell my Selling Assistant items?
Well, where are you selling now? Because the marketplaces you’re already the most experienced with are your best bets for selling client items. You don’t want to be learning a whole new selling system while you’re trying to start up a new service.

Of course, as you grow into your SA service, you’ll want to experiment with how you sell so you’ll always be able to choose the right platform for the situation. Stay flexible and open to selling on a variety o...
