Thank You and What's Coming Next

Hey all. I just wanted to thank you for making Tina a bestseller, as well as the fantastic reviews. I feel fortunate to have such great readers. I truly appreciate you.

Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and print.

There's no rest for the wicked (me). I'm already working on the next project, Clan Companions: Gabriel.  Here's the inspiration for Gabriel himself (credit: Wilkilmages). Pretty, isn't he? Clan Baknu certainly thinks so.

If you've forgotten, Gabriel makes a couple of brief appearances in Clan Companions: Joseph, as part of his support group. He teases a tiny bit of the story you'll see hopefully no later than fall. I do have other obligations that might slow the writing of this book, so bear with me. I'm working as fast as circumstances allow.

Again, thanks for your support of Clans of Europa: Tina. Hugs to you all!

Excerpt from Clans of Europa: Tina (Now on Sale)

A rescue gone wrong...

Osopa stood up straight again, scowling as he examined their surroundings. “How long since you saw the Tragoom, Zac?”

“The thing with the pig face? A few minutes, but I could hear it just before you came by.” He crept closer to Tina, his head poking out from the pile of rubble.

Osopa had his blaster at the ready. His obvious alarm frightened Tina. “My Nobek?”

“Usually, you can’t smell anything but them if they’re in the vicinity. The stench should be drowning out Zac’s, but if the wind is coming from the wrong direction—”

He took off without finishing his statement, racing around the hill Zac hid within. A hoarse animal shriek, unlike anything Tina had ever heard before, echoed through the landscape.

Shoo-wup! The sound of a percussion blaster firing.

More shrieks, then the furious shout of a man. A pair of figures lunged from behind the hill, grappling with each other.

Tina had seen only stills of Tragooms in the past. They’d been ugly enough in static poses, but the creature grabbing for and swinging at Osopa was a nightmare on cloven feet.

Its face resembled that of a wild boar, complete with tusks curling out of its lower jaw to bracket its snout-shaped nose. Warts growing bristled hair sprouted all over its heavily jowled visage. Triangular ears on top of its skull and tiny eyes completed the porcine vision.

It was immense, as gray and appearing as impenetrable as the concrete slabs sheltering Zac. Its legs were thicker than Tina’s waist, and what swung into view beneath the ragged loincloth it wore wasn’t much thinner. Remembered tales of human women being raped by Tragooms sprang into Tina’s mind.

No one could survive that.

It was far larger than Osopa, and it didn’t react to the blows the fast-moving Kalquorian rained on it. Tina realized he no longer had his blaster, and she cried out in horror.

Clans of Europa: Tina Now on Sale (NSFW)

 Good morning

Warmth against her pussy. A slow, deliberate lick. Tina moaned. Tried to open her eyes.

She was blindfolded. When she attempted to move, she discovered she couldn’t. Slight pressure on her wrists and ankles told her she’d been immobilized by hovercuffs. Arms and legs spread wide. Her pussy open and vulnerable.

The mouth on her continued to work. A tongue thrust deep into her. Retreated. Flattened as it traveled up her folds. Flicked her clit.

Then gorgeous, incredible sucking. She cried out.

Yorso spoke. “Hush.”

He went back to work, shoving fingers inside her. Fucking her that way, rubbing the sensitive part within, making her crazy as he continued to draw hard on her clit. A wash of heat traveled throughout as he forced excitement on her. She arced higher and higher, biting her lips together to contain the noises rising in her throat.

Mouth retreating. A hum. Insistent vibrations pressed to her clit, demanding her surrender to orgasm. As always, unable to comply without permission. She arched, her body straining.

“Come.”

Sweet release, pulsing, throbbing. Nothing else to worry about. Nirvana, streaming through her, carrying her from her concerns.

Clans of Europa: Tina Now on Sale

When a Dramok loves a woman...

He was in love. He wanted to tell her. He wanted to scream it at everyone he saw. The right situation hadn’t yet arrived, since the site was still working out the logistics of evacuating its corner of Washington’s outlying areas. Most days ended just in time for Tukui to eat dinner and fall into exhausted sleep.

He was in love with his Matara, but Tukui couldn’t bear to voice it. Tina deserved better than him blurting it out as they scrambled to get ready for another day. Even the few times they’d snatched to make love hadn’t been quite suitable. He didn’t want her getting the idea such a proclamation was voiced simply because he’d enjoyed an interlude of sex.

No, he needed the proper atmosphere. Maybe when things settled down and they could catch their breath, the clan could take her to a scenic location. They could be romantic, with a picnic meal near the seashore. Or on a mountain. Somewhere nice. Somewhere special. Then he’d speak the words that had burned themselves into his heart, and she’d know he meant them with every fiber of his being.

His perfect moment would arrive. Until that magical instant, life was good despite its hectic pace. Tukui thought he might even be sorry when he had to leave Earth.

Clans of Europa: Tina on Sale Now

When a Nobek loves a woman...

He squeezed her hand. “My past can’t put distance between you and me. I have to do better. You’re my Matara. My world.”

The heartfelt statement startled her. Even more shocking was the blatant yearning in his gaze. She’d have given up everything for Osopa to mean what he said, if she’d had anything at all to give.

She tried to laugh it off, though her heart screamed for it to be real. “Your world? After so few days of acquaintance, that has to be an exaggeration.”

“It’s not. From my first day in training camp, I was taught to worship my future clan. To make its members the center of my existence. That’s the driving motivation of every true Nobek: protect our clans and the empire at all costs.”

“I can’t be that important when you barely know me.”

“No? My entire focus during the battle with the Tragooms should have been destroying them. Most of it was. But there was a part of me that couldn’t stop worrying about you, Tukui, and Yorso. Especially you, because you’re the most vulnerable. A piece of me was screaming nonstop the entire time. ‘Is Tina safe? Has she been injured?’ As soon as I could, I ran to be sure you were okay. If you’d been hurt, I’d—I’d—I can’t imagine what would have happened. It’s too terrible to consider.”

She’d done nothing to earn such devotion. After astonished silence, she managed, “I was scared for you too. Maybe you have issues showing your emotions, but you’ve been good to me.”

“I want to be better than good. I want us to be lovers in truth. Not for making babies, but because it’s torture for us to not be together. I want to be the reason you smile.”

Tina could barely breathe. Was this real? She didn’t dare hope, but hope filled her nonetheless. “I’d like that too.”

The kiss was tentative, as if they had never touched before that moment. They sank into the moment. Into each other.

The unwanted Nobek...

“Your work shows the hidden depths of a man who doesn’t prefer to emote.”

Osopa paused. Uncertainty shimmered to the surface. “That has long been a failing of mine. I do feel. Strongly.”

His unwavering gaze hinted that it might be her he felt strongly for. Tina thought of how he’d run in after the Tragoom attack despite needing to be elsewhere, how he’d reached for her and Yorso. His emotional promise to keep them safe no matter what had been spoken with passion.

He was difficult, but not impossible, to reach. She edged towards him. “I won’t laugh if you express yourself. Or reject you. You can be open with me.”

He paused his packing to regard her. “You’ve been patient with how I’ve treated you. I could have behaved better.”

“You could have acted worse. There’ve been moments when you let me peek behind that formidable stoicism.”

He chuckled and began wrapping his last piece. “I used to be far more awful. Until Tukui, and later Yorso, I didn’t think I could share much with anyone. I’m supposed to be tough.”

“Because you’re the designated warrior? Or is there more? I sense a bigger story behind the strong, silent treatment.”

He paused before speaking again, his voice low. “It started when I was set aside by my parents.”

Releases tomorrow. You can pre-order now:

Excerpt From Clans of Europa: Tina (Pre-Order Now)

 Good clean fun...

"Let me gather the shattered remains of my self-respect before I face another of my shortcomings.” Tina fell over on her side, her hand held to her brow, dropping the handheld onto the mat with affected despair.

“Fortunately, you have few of those.” Yorso crawled forward to plant a kiss on those plump, smiling lips.

“Stop, you shameless flatterer.” She pushed against his chest in pretended rejection, every inch an actress worthy of a vid drama. “How can I trust you when you lie with such earnestness?”

He fell into her improvised scene, delighted to play along. “You’re my goddess, my everything. I worship you.”

She flung her arms around his neck. With breathy exaggeration, she cried, “Then take me from all this war and pain. Free me from this room that’s only big enough for the bed. Give me cruises on the endless ocean and suites filled with roses. Give me mountaintops from which to shout your adoration.”

“I’m but a poor cultural liaison. But I’ll take you as far as I can—which would mean the shower over there. I’ll carry you the entire distance.”

“That’s a nice way of telling me I smell bad.”

Yorso bellowed laughter at her surprising sally. She huffed, then dropped the act to grin at him. His heart melted.

He was falling for his Matara. There was no doubt about it.

“Suggesting the shower was a bid to get you naked and wet, along with an excuse to dodge coms from Captain Tranis and Dr. Degorsk. I won’t have to fight Tukui and Osopa for the privilege of joining you either.”

Excerpt from Clans of Europa: Tina (Pre-Order Now)

Romancing the girl and hazards of a popular clanmate:

Yorso considered. They were almost to the dining hall when he stopped Tukui. “We have to elevate her. Treat her as if she’s the Mother of All Herself.”

“Aren’t we already doing that?” If Tukui were the sort to cry, he’d be doing it.

“The Earthers have a saying. Something about putting the cart before the—the—oh, it’s their equivalent of our kestarsh. Anyway, our current situation is backward. We had no opportunity to romance Tina before asking her to clan. We clanned her first.”

“You think we should court her? After the fact?” Though as he thought about it, it began to make sense.

“Praise her, bring her presents, adore her—win her love. As if it were an arranged clanship—but that’s not quite right. If we’d had a promised Matara, we’d have had years to work on the relationship before she joined us. You get what I’m saying though, right?”

“I get it. We praise her already,” Tukui mused. “Presents would be nice, but rather hard to come by in our present circumstances.”

“We can show her what we’ll buy her when we get the chance—oh, and there’s something else. Come on.”

Yorso hurried away, turning from the dining hall. His sudden enthusiasm was great enough that Tukui had to run to catch up.

“Where are we going?”

“To visit Dramok Cres.”

Tukui scowled to hear the name of another former rival for Yorso. At least Cres kept a respectful distance from him now that he was clanned, or so Tukui had thought. “There’d better be a good reason to visit him.”

“Stop it. I heard from another of the full clans he might be able to give us some help.”

“You haven’t talked to him yourself?”

Yorso slowed to punch Tukui in the gut. He telegraphed his intentions, giving Tukui a chance to brace for it. It didn’t hurt…much. “I was told about the fight you had with Zevs, so don’t pass judgment on me. Unlike my short-tempered Dramok, I haven’t done anything wrong.”

Tukui growled but kept from offering a rebuke. For Tina’s sake, he’d see what Yorso was up to.

In over their heads...

He stopped and grabbed Osopa to make him halt too. “You were right, my Nobek. I failed to consider Tina’s situation as thoroughly as I should have. She’s traumatized, and my thoughtlessness threatened to make it worse. And I still don’t have a clue on how to comfort her.”

Instead of giving him the tongue lashing he deserved, Osopa gazed at him with sympathy. “If it helps, she’s behaving better than most of them. She’s not crying constantly or fighting us. Maybe we’re doing okay.”

“I wish she would fight. I wish she thought well enough of herself to tell us off. To spit at us, call us names—something. She’s so beaten down, my Nobek. Afraid, no matter how hard we try to show her there’s no reason to be.”

“What do we do?”

Tukui was the Dramok. It was up to him to lead them to the answers. He cast about for any route that might lead him to a solution. “Your sister went through some issues. Then she became your mother’s caretaker, so she still has challenges to work against. You don’t have any insight?”

“She’d be more than happy to tell you how inept and useless I am when it comes to comfort and care. I’m—I’m out of my depth when it comes to our Matara.”

He allowed his emotions to show, telling Tukui how miserable he found their situation. He was as aware of his shortcomings as Tukui was.

That left one other option. “I’ll take Yorso aside. Imdikos tend to be more successful with sorting out emotional stuff.”
