My experiences as a woman, a mother, a person with a disability - these are all things that I draw from when I'm writing. I also really love to think about how people react to the things that happen to them. I try to put myself in other people's shoes and think about how I might feel or react. I love listening to other people's stories and thinking about how those experiences might be relatable for other people (and, of course, for me). (less)

Currently, I write every day for at least an hour. While I'm writing a new book, which I am in the process of doing right now, I try to write 2-4 hours a day. I don't revise until I've brute forced the first draft out so I spend a lot of time revising. Every once in a while I think I might change things up, make my process more efficient, but as it turns out, this works for me. (less)

A New Beginning

PictureRemember to smile. The pandemic taught me to bend without breaking.

Actually, I learned many things during this chaotic time in our history. I was brought to my knees with grief and also exhilarated by new choices and opportunities. I learned that when everything gets serious it’s more important than ever to have a sense of humor. I learned to let go, and I embraced new things with open arms.
