A Little Snippet ...

Hi all,

Thanks for returning to my little cozy writer's cave. Today I've decided to share a short snippet of SOUTHERN FANGS: JOURNAL OF A SOUTHERN VAMPIRE. It's a short piece, but just enough for you to sink your teeth into (pun intended):

         Staring up into his sinister eyes, my own widened as disbelief seized my mind. Rumors spread of those who walked the night for the past few years but they’d been only that…rumors. At least that’s what I’d believed. 
Until now. 
My heart seized once, painfully halting in my chest. I inhaled sharply and tried to free my hands again. 
        Then time itself stilled. 
        I watched a firefly halt in mid-air, its formerly yellow tail caught in everlasting darkness and I sadly accepted the little bug’s fate as my own. Once a fierce burning light, my soul was now reduced to never-ending darkness. 
       Once my heart stopped, it never pumped again and previous warmed blood turned to icy sludge in my veins. My last breath as a human came out as an oath. Antoine had killed me and with every fiber of my being, I would make sure I delivered his eternal death with my bare hands.   

Don't wanna toot my own horn - but hey, I'm gonna toot! That was awesome, right? Well, it's on pre-order now and set to release on November 15th.

This book actually has a funny origin story. It began about ten years ago as a blog book. I formatted it so that one blog entry equaled one journal entry. Each day I wrote an entry and posted it on my blog. So, you could say that I began writing it completely online!

However, after one VERY AWESOME friend pointed out that it would make a good book (cough-AleicaMetoyer-cough) I decided to take it down and mold it to perfection and publish it.

What you see here is the fruit of that. It's set for release on November 15, which just so happens to be my birthday.
