Six Postcards Home
With less than a week to go before the publication of Six Postcards Home I am delighted to have a copy of it in my hands and it feels great. I’m very excited about this book as it will be a trip down memory lane for many who grew up on the Northside of Dublin in the 1980′s.
The Jacksons have been travelling again but closer to home this time. We spent a lovely few days in the North of Ireland and if you are looking for things to do up North you might like to check out my article here in the sundayworld.
More recently the Irish Examiner ran a feature about my books and the inspiration for them. It all started after a weekend in Biarritz with one of my friends from my old school days, Catherine. She also had a part to play in bringing Six Postcards Home to life, as she had kept all the letters that I had sent her in the 1980′s, making my research for the book a whole lot easier. What’s in a name?
Like many authors I was amused by the recent revelation that JK Rowling had written a crime novel under a male pen name – you can read my musings on this in The Journal if you click here thejournal. I have also been scribbling about my recent fab trip to the Big Apple with my son and it featured in yesterday’s Sunday World newspaper – the link is here www.sundayworld.com.
If you would like to read more about New York my second novel is still available on Amazon as an ebook for the very special price of 98p for a limited time only! Link to it is here www.amazon.co.uk with a fresh new cover

Many thanks to all the lovely readers who have sent me kind messages about my books this summer – if you really enjoyed maybe you could post a wee review on amazon or goodreads

Lovely Lisbon
I am recently back from a lovely few days in Portugal. We stayed in the seaside town of Cascais which is my favourite place in Portugal. I finally got to see the remarkable town of Sintra and the Pena Palace which is like a fantasy dream. My children however couldn’t wait to get back to the pool at the hotel. Lisbon is a gorgeous city and I’ve posted a pic of the family below.

When I arrived home I found three lovely articles waiting for me – The Irish Mail on Sunday had posted my travel feature on Perth and U magazine had done the same.

I have to admit I was blushing when I re-read my new Sex in Suburbia article for Suburbia Magazine featuring the fab Graham Norton on the cover – look out for it because there is also an article from me about cruising with three generations!
