Kindle Vella, Here I Come!
Quickly popping in here to say that I decided to publish my sci-fi romance on Kindle Vella. If you read episodes on Vella, I hope you take a moment to read mine. It's a dual POV, lightly spicy (although this subjective, so YMMV) sci-fi romance set in another universe where humans aren't very popular...except with their alien romantic leads.
If you aren't on Vella, no worries! I will eventually publish the book in its entirety - plus extra content! - on Kindle Unlimited.
CWs include: cheating (not MCs), death of a parent, drugs, gambling, illness/plague, infertility, prostitution, sex, and xenophobia.
Now, go read a book! 📚

NaNoWriMo
It's November, and you know what that means! It's National Novel Writing Month. Writers everywhere will be highly caffeinated, stressed, and babbling about plots for the next few weeks.
It has always seemed odd to me that NaNoWriMo is in November, a notoriously busy time, at least here in the States. Between all the holidays and prepping for December holidays, family time, and general busyness of life, it isn't the best month to aim for 50K words!
But I'm game. This year, I'm trying something a little different. I'm tackling a sci-fi romance. I've written sci-fi before, but the plot had romantic elements. They weren't the main plot point. And this book will be adult. (And you know what that means...spice.) I've got everything plotted out, so we'll see how it goes.
Wish me luck!

X-Born
Guess what? I'm working on edits for the third and final book in the Earthborn Series...X-Born. After I do a couple of rounds, I'll send it off to my editor. Then, it won't be long before the conclusion of Addy and Brock's story is in your hands! I'm so excited for everyone to read it. I love Addy so much. She struggles with her identity and her duty, and at the same time, she brings out the best in others and learns from her mistakes and shines like the stars she comes from.
I love my little half-alien!
And did I mention the book will include a bonus short story? Yeah, there's that too.
Have a great day...and go read a book!

Tickety-Tock, Baby!
I went and did something silly. I opened a TikTok account (@authorpmhernandez). I only have a few videos up, because I'm busy having too much fun watching other people's content. Oops! Anyway, if you're there too, drop your handle in a comment to this post and I'll give you a follow. I'm officially obsessed.

Guess What?
I have news!
The final installment of the Whitewood Journals - Fire and Frost - is with my editor. (internal screaming) I'm not so organized as to have a launch date yet, but stay tuned. I'm working on it...in between bouts of freaking out.

Keep It Touch
For those of you who had the pleasure of experiencing high school yearbooks, you probably had a few people write "KIT" or "keep in touch." Or maybe you were the one writing KIT in someone else's yearbook. It's what we said when we had nothing to say, right? A phrase only slightly less awful than "have a great summer."
Well, I have plenty to say! Sadly though, I don't say it all here on Goodreads. If you're curious about other places to find me spouting off, here are the links.

Creative Year So Far
Don't mind me. I've just come here to drop a quick brag or two. My 2021 book stats are looking mighty fine!
1. I've read 14 out of 30 books on my Goodreads challenge. I might have to increase my goal. (pats self on back)
2. I finished the first draft of X-Born, book three in my Earthborn Series. (high-fives self)
3. I actually sent out an author newsletter. (cheers)
Seriously, WHO IS THIS PERSON?!
If you're reading this, let me know what YOU'RE proud to have accomplished so far in 2021. You should celebrate your successes, no matter how small.
