Join Me in Creating True Happiness and Well-Being

Dear Beautiful Souls,
Many of us have fond memories of summer as a time of freedom, joy, and exploration. We remember spending long days outdoors, soaking in the warm sunshine and
playing with our friends late into the evening. For children, summer represents an idyllic break from the classroom routine. It’s a time of renewal. When school begins again in the fall, there is
a sense of a fresh start.
When we reach adulthood, summertime may take on a different feel. We may find it stressful to juggle the children’s summer camps and programs, as they (and we)
adjust to one new routine after another. Vacations may bring some strain of their own, when the stress of travel makes family members irritable with one another. Summer asks a certain
flexibility of us, and we may find it a relief to go back to our usual routines.
It doesn’t have to be this way. I invite you to reclaim summer as a time for relaxation and renewal, a time of expansiveness and possibility. Today marks the
beginning of a series of blog posts about creating true happiness. Over the summer months, I’ll guide you in a journey of cultivating deep and
lasting well-being. You’ll feel a childlike sense of wonder. Your own state of being ripples outward and touches those around you, so by nourishing yourself, you’ll also
be sparking joy in those around you.
We can achieve true happiness and well-being only when we attend to the three primary needs of the soul:
1. To find and connect to Source.
This takes place in four distinct phases: The soul longs to find and connect to Source. Then it wants to know Source, to align to Source, and
finally to surrender to Source. Surrender is not a strategy that we are forced to exercise at times of crisis; rather, it is a daily practice that comes
from the deep understanding that develops as the soul goes through its spiritual journey. The spiritual path of the soul is the topic of my book, The Art of
Surrender.
2. To find its own unique ways of being in the world.
The soul seeks situations and experiences in which it is being its fullest self. It also seeks to release old ways of looking at the world. Ways of being, for
the soul, include the experience of positive emotions and frequencies such as love, joy, freedom, compassion, truth, beauty, serenity, peace, and trust. Each soul comes with a unique signature
blend of these states, which define its distinct essence, and so it thrives in this life as it seeks these states.
3. To find ways of expressing itself and its beauty in the world.
Every soul comes with a figurative fingerprint, a blend of God-given gifts and talents. The soul seeks ways to express this uniqueness. We are most in
touch with our unique and innate gifts in childhood. What were some of your childhood dreams? Perhaps you had some favorite activities or realms of imagination. These can
be understood as early manifestations of your gifts. Ways of expression can vary, from speaking your truth about a certain situation to finding the courage to stand up for yourself to finding a
hobby that makes you feel expansive.
We take the first step in meeting the soul’s needs by creating practices to nurture ourselves on the physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual
levels. Your soul can shine fully only through a body that is nourished by authentic foods and beverages, sunshine, and time outdoors. We create emotional resilience as we strengthen our
self-awareness and grow stronger from the inside, developing greater compassion toward ourselves and others and treating challenges as opportunities to create a different
reality.
The brain and mind are nourished when we engage in the delightful process of inquiry into the nature of the universe and the Divine. By focusing
on our relationships with friends and family, we gain a sense of support during tough times and discover opportunities to exchange love with others as we express our unique ways of
being in the world. And finally, we nourish ourselves spiritually by cultivating the daily practices that support us in hearing and voicing the truth of all there is. We expand into the
natural state of joy.
Remember that these nourishment are not optional acts of self-love; in fact, they are the building blocks of a well-lived and balanced life. They give you
the resilience and strength to meet the needs of your soul, go after your dreams, and fulfill your purpose. Once your soul’s needs are met, it can freely give its fruits,
nurturing the world in return.
I’ll write more about each of these topics in a future blog post. I invite you to join me on a summer journey of exploration and renewal!
Action Item: To begin, think about what summer means to you.
What are your goals for this time? What elements of your well-being do you intend to focus on? For instance, if you’d like to nourish your physical well-being, you
could plan to spend more time outdoors. Share your goals in the comments below.

Chasing A Childhood Dream

Seeking has been a constant state of mine. With the ups and downs of life, I've been waiting for life to rest again. Seeking to
gaze into the grass and let my mind wonder. Seeking to witness the breaking shadows of the sun on wool carpets. The scents of citrus blossom filling the air I breathe. Looking at the clouds,
birds flying in flocks while holding my cup of afternoon tea.
There’s something magical in these moments. An invitation: to let go and just be. To immerse and be content with our surroundings. To feel into the beingness of the
soul and the dreams of our heart. A state of pure beingness with no suffering. I wonder: when we arrive to what we long for, do we see it as mundane and move on to the next thing? Is it possible
that we strip away the sacredness and the joy from our life’s experiences?
The immersion into life’s experiences has always been a dream of mine. I long for an afternoon where I wander in a secret garden or build a tree house. That’s how my
childhood used to be. Time descends from my consciousness and I am left with that which is in front of me. Immersed in the doing while my whole being is in harmony and cooperation with the goal
in mind. I could be trying out oil colors on a plain canvas for the first time. I could be pouring liquid wax into an animal shaped toy to create a candle. I could be brining three pieces of flat
wood from the neighbor’s broken cabinet to create a table to write my homework on. Or sewing clothes for my beloved Sindy doll. Free flowing easy life. I did not realize how blessed I was. When
we grow up, our life becomes the longing and seeking of these states. A blessed moment passes by and I realize that it’s not in the doing as much as in the being while creating is what counts.
The question remains: how to ‘be’ while deactivating the active brain? Where can I access the gateway to pure ‘beingness’?
The need, the wonder and the awe, inspired me to be in my body and feel into the moment. Right now, everything is provided to us. There’s no need, no wonder and no
tree to climb on. The joy of exploration and trying things out for the first time has somewhat became an outdated trend. We’ve seen enough from life that we’re not surprised anymore. We’re not
grateful to what comes our way. In fact, we expect the good and ask for more.
In reality we are all blessed. The moments that pass by where our thoughts translate into words and actions carry so much potential for us to be happy and content.
Do we actually deprive ourselves of these moments? Do we act on the sense of being unworthy? Or on the sadness we feel? What an irony. What we felt back then creates a barrier to joy. All the
resources and talents available to us to create joy in the moment, yet we are stuck in the past. What stands in the way of our creative endeavors? What stops the wonder and awe? What stops the
widening of our wondering eyes? The excitement of experiencing something new?
The wounded ego says: “I’ve figured this out before”, “been there, done that!”. What is it that will reengage our hearts? What is it that will bring us into the
silence of our beingness? Is it a battle of fighting the wounded ego or could it be that we need to rise above it and just be? Is it to choose and intend to live in pure beingness? Can we float
with our heart’s desires no matter what and where life takes us? To allow the impulses of the soul to lead? No plan, no intended outcome that will impress anyone. Only soul infusion in moments of
pure beingness. That’s the decision we are all wanting to make. Nothing more and nothing less!
An invitation: Will you join me in choosing to be infused by your essence? Will you let the sun shine again?
Will you engage with your shadows and move towards the light of the soul?
Action Item:
Reflect on your soul’s most desired states of being. What do you long to feel? What would you like to experience in your daily life? Not when life becomes perfect, but here and now. What feelings
do you long to bring about into your daily experience?

Welcome to Soulful Learning

Dear Beautiful Souls,
Welcome to my blog. In this world we live in, there are many paradoxes present in our reality that may or may not show us the path
towards the truth. The one single consistent place you can look for it is inside of yourself. Each human is equipped with a spiritual GPS that allows us to navigate life in order to find meaning
and purpose. At a time like this, when disconnection is apparent on the individual and collective level, we are hungry for true and authentic human awakening. In fact our very own survival
depends on it if we are to leave a better future for ourselves and our children.
In my own spiritual journey, I have learned to recognize when disconnection is present in my life. There will be times when you are not sure whether you are aligned or not. I’ve been there personally, and to me it felt like spiritual numbness,
a place that didn’t quite feel right. For example, you might not feel like praying, or you might want to hide in a cave, feeling isolated from within. In states of disconnection, you may
experience one or more of the following:
You feel disconnected from inside yourself and have a hard time relating to others or the
natural world.
You feel a deep sense of anxiety and unease that you cannot explain.
You feel abandoned somehow and unsupported in life.
You have a hidden sense of anger and rage that may be accompanied by despair and
hopelessness.
You are in your head a lot and find it difficult to access emotions in your body and
heart.
Your mental state is dominated by negative commentary and thoughts that cloud your judgment.
Your life is moving in a direction that seems scary or out of control, and you feel
helpless.
It is hard for you to access your intuition.
You seem to forget your prayers or hurry through them without feeling them in your
heart.
Here's my invitation to you: I am dedicating this space for spiritual learning, the type that comes from you and not from others. I will share insights, ahas, stories and most importantly exercises
to help you tap into the truth for yourself. I'd like to invite you to participate in this space on the hope to making it a live community for the active spiritual seekers. The more we wake up to
the truths around us, the more our lives begin to harmonize and align to universal truths. My main vision and mission here is to help awaken the self's ability to live in peace
and harmony by embracing the universal truths that make this world thrive.
Action Item: reflection is a
valuable tool on your spiritual journey. Buy a dedicated journal just for your insights, ahas, learning and reflection. Let this journal be the witness to your growth and dedication to living a
good life.
Reflection Question: on a
scale of 0-10 where 0 you feel complete spiritual numbness and 10 you feel 100% spiritually aligned and content. Where do you fall on the spectrum? Let this be the first answer you jot down
on your journal to measure your progress. When you do you are going to take the first step in your spiritual education and evolution.
Discussion Question: share in the
comments below common symptoms you know of that represent spiritual misalignment and or numbness.

A Call To Modern Day Humans

The potential to find and connect to Source is readily available to us in every waking moment of our life. This potential
can become our future; all that’s required is that we exercise our willpower to create a life based in truth. With the current state of humanity and the world, we have a long way to go in terms
of our development and the future of our planet. However, the awakening of a single human being has the potential to create a significant ripple effect on that person’s family, friends,
community, and planet. A drop of water joins other drops to create an ocean. In there lies your power as an individual to lead a life of truth and alignment. Instead of riding as a passenger in
the car of life, you become the driver once you awaken to your soul’s most pressing needs.
Time after time, humanity has been divided in the name of religion. Stereotypes have created an us-and-them mentality,
throwing flames of hatred and rage across the planet. The division has brought us further from the path that leads to the truth. We have shifted our modern lives into a space where we practice
religion or spirituality behind closed doors, then put on a mask and go to work, pretending to be confident and whole humans. Meanwhile, on the inside, our hearts are breaking into pieces from
the pain of loneliness. Our souls suffer for not recognizing what’s missing in our lives.
What if the veil is lifted? What if we all, across all religions, colors, and backgrounds, acknowledge the oneness of our
Creator? How will our lives be different? How will the planet look? How will such alignment affect the way we interact with each other? How will we as individuals behave in the world? How will
our communities be transformed by the feeling of unity? How will our collective well-being change when we recognize that when one of us is hurt, all of us are hurt, and when we deliberately bring
harm to someone, we bring it to ourselves?
Humans in particular exemplify the polarity of creation. We are conflicted in our being; we move between states of alignment
and misalignment to the universal truths. God could have created conforming and aligned humans. We could have been given the path to the truth and thus not be lost. We are not angels; instead, we
are created with the intention and the blueprint as well as the potential to find the truth for ourselves. We are honored with the gift of choice, and that is a great distinction given to us by
the Divine.
I invite you to look within and empower yourself by accepting the privilege of choosing your path. Your life is a
precious gift that should not be wasted in blindness. Our responsibility to find the truth will stare us in the face when we are at the end of our lives. Living a life in fullness is the best
gift you could give to yourself and those around you. Let this be your time to wake up and create a magnificent ripple that touches your life and every other life on the planet. Every human’s
life counts. Every contemplation, every word of truth you say, and every action in service of others counts.
When the time comes to meet your Creator, you see clearly. Nothing is said. Nothing is out of alignment. Nothing is out of
order. Falsehood ceases to exist. Your body speaks of its experience in the physical realm. Your soul dances in joy, as the time has come. Eternal life is your new reality.
While modern life distracts us from these truths and persuades us to think differently, the key is to allow the soul to take
its natural course and awaken. When that happens, the soul finds, knows, aligns with, and surrenders to the Divine. Living in Divine presence is your portal to everlasting contentment and joy. The question is, will you lift the veil and step through the door?
