M. Tyler Gillett holds graduate degrees in religious studies, with a specialization in early Christian literature, and has a bachelor's in English/creative writing. His first novella, The Testament of Judas, was inspired by reading Matthew 27:52-53,* not as a promise of eternal salvation, but as a zombie apocalypse brought about by Jesus' ritual self-sacrifice on the cross.
