"My Lucky Life In and Out of Show Business" by Dick Van Dyke

My Lucky Life in and Out of Show Business written by Dick Van Dyke was an enjoyable read. The Characters, Plot, and Story Arc were good because it's an Autobiography. All Persons within the story are/were real people. The Story Arc was Mr. Van Dyke's life events, and the Plot was the twists and turns throughout his life and career.

His story is one laced with comedy, heartache, and uncertainty. This is a book that I highly recommend.

Review of Lord of the Flies by William Golding

Lord of the Flies written by William Golding was an amazing read. The Characters, Plot, and Story Arc were all well described, built-up, and portrayed.

The Characters were built-up well enough to be believable and the reader is able to love or hate them accordingly. They were also diverse in mannerisms, personality, strengths, and weaknesses.

The Story Arc had a set beginning and end with well built conflict and resolution throughout the story.

The Plot was well thought out and kept the reader interested and entertained while reading.

A lot of the Narrative Descriptions within the book were eloquently written This is a book that I highly recommend and will read again in the future. Pick up a copy for yourself today.

Review of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks was a pretty good read. It had some action and was pretty well written.
Character, Plot, and Story Arc were are all good. I would recommend it for a good read.

My only issue with the book (which I thought would be the opposite) was the interview style writing of the book. Due to this writing style (for me) there were times when the story seemed to lag and I got bored and distracted.

Here is the link on Amazon if you're interested in picking up a copy:

Review of Dead Man's Prayer by Jackie Baldwin

Dead Man's Prayer written by Jackie Baldwin is a superb read! The story follows Detective Frank Farrell and his investigation into the murder of a Parish Priest that Frank knew and studied under. Frank had attempted to put his life as a priest in his past. Father Boyd's murder and the investigation plunged him head first into his past life once again.

With well structured characters, plot twists, and a story arc that keeps the reader guessing, Dead Man's Prayer is a must read. Even some of the minor characters were well placed within the story and cause more intrigue as to who was involved in the crime(s).

Definitely be sure to pick up a copy for yourself. (http://a.co/5lbTm1r) The Author is currently in the process of editing the next story!

Review of Broken Pieces of Tomorrow by Soulla Christodoulou

Broken Pieces of Tomorrow: Strong women don't give up...They find a way through tears and thrills to love again... written by Soulla Christodoulou is the story of Georgia and her struggle through a declining marriage and her struggle to rise again from the ashes and rediscover herself.

The characters, plot, and story arc were all great. The story was well written with a good balance between narration and dialogue. The writing itself was excellent with few spelling errors or grammatical issues.

Broken Pieces of Tomorrow contains a mix of love, romance, mystery, drama, and suspense. I highly recommend picking up a copy of your own.

As always, be sure to leave a review to let the Author and Future readers know your thoughts.

Review of Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee

Go Set a Watchman written by Harper Lee is the sequel to the beloved classic To Kill a Mockingbird and sees Scout return to Alabama during the beginnings of the civil rights movement in the US. Throughout the book she sees everyone in a truer light without the veil of innocence of youth masking her perceptions.

This book, for anyone that loved To Kill a Mockingbird, is a little difficult to get through. The book deals with the common mistake most of us make when we have human, childhood heroes. We are blinded by hero worship and can't see what we grow to better understand in adulthood...they are human. Our heroes make mistakes because they are human. This book is an emotionally difficult read for that fact alone. Anyone that read TKAM in their youth and grew to think of Atticus as a hero, now sees him portrayed in a different way, more human and in the eyes of an adult and not a child. For that reason, this book is made even better because it makes the issue of the book more personal to the reader.

I highly recommend this book. You may feel depressed at times while reading it, but the lessons are very real.

Review of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee, is one of those novels that enraptures its reader throughout the story. It is loved by many generations of readers. It is a story about Scout, a little girl growing up during the days of segregation and racial division in the south during the early 1900s. Her and the family are being thrown into turmoil as her father (Atticus) defends an African-American man accused of raping a white woman, and the struggles of trying to represent his client amid the racial tensions directed at the family.

Unfortunately, this book has been recently added to the banned literature book list in numerous American schools due to racial epithets used within the story.

This book is a must read for anyone who is into a great work of fiction, as well as, a great analytical read.
