Fatal

You were in love with a boy

His love was like the beginning and the end of everything

He bled sunshine and you saw him as the brightest thing in the room

He made your heart stink into your stomach everytime he said goodbye

He was golden although you faded into amber;

You were nothing compared to him

And here’s the best part

You loved him more than your life.

You jumped into the wells of his eyes as though they were beds of roses

Oh, little did you know

That there were monsters swimming just below the surface

That the dustiest attics of his minds were filled with ghosts

He was drowning in the lake of his dark miseries;

He was pulling himself apart at the seams

Nevertheless

With trembling fingers, you tried to sew him back

You offered your shaking hand to pull him back up to the surface

You did everything just so he could have hid first breath after the long dive

Darling, how didn’t you realise?

He never wanted to be saved

And even less, never by your hand

But here’s the worst-

You still loved him so much more than your own life.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Ted Talk | King Beyond Bollywood

“I sell dreams, and I peddle love to millions of people,” expressed Shah Rukh is his out of way performance.

Titled as “Thoughts on humanity, fame, and love”, Shah Rukh Khan, the king khan of Bollywood’s first ever Ted talk went online this week and it was as magnificent as the Khan himself. More than anything, it was a big surprise for the population of the Internet as the stage of Ted is famous for talks given by prestigious writers, saviors and the scientists of the world and having such a big actor there was something Ted don’t usually perform. TED stands for technology, entertainment, and design. The organization get their speakers to perform talks which last 18 minutes or less.

Of course, the way he performed and talked expressed his smartness and charisma perfectly. As the Ted’s official website quote him, “With a fan following that runs into multi-millions, Shah Rukh Khan is at forefront of the Indian film industry and continues to rule at the box office in India.”

Before delivering his lecture, SRK, who will host the TED Talks India, had expressed, “For years, I’ve been a huge fan of TED Talks.”

When the whole world was busy reported SRK as the most popular speaker of the year, speakers like Serena Williams, Elon Musk, and the Pope witnessed bewildered feelings of this man with touched beyond the life that he has in Bollywood. Even though there were many who didn’t know who he was his words combined with his amazing wit and sense humor awed all of them.  He showed us, that other than being a good actor, he was a perfect speaker too who was honest with his audience and work taking as an example, him expressing his views on aging as: “Humanity is a lot like me, it’s an aging movie star, grappling with all the newness around it, wondering whether it got it right in the first place and still trying to find a way to keep on shining regardless.” he said.

Aging with Humor

For many, it was a moment of knowing people from the age set of their fathers, uncles or teachers but in a way which can be called beautiful.

He went to talk about the failure that he witnessed over his Ra.One which he thought was going to be a revolution in the Bollywood but expressed it as a lesson that will keep him moving. People came to know about his life changing decision of his late 40s which was to begin using Twitter which turned the world upside down for him opening a whole new window of vision. “Everything I said took a new meaning. Everything I did, good, bad, ugly, was there for the world to comment upon and judge.” he explained.

He didn’t even shy out when he came out to talk about the moment when his 15-year-old son Aryan’s fake intercourse video was leaked online. It was something he had maintained silent for a long but at Ted, told everyone how his family dealt with it. He explained this miserable tale with a humorous start asking if Abram (his youngest son) was a love child of Aryan

Other than major lessons and mistakes of his life. In just 17 minutes he took the listeners to a tour of his life from the time he grew up in Delhi to when his dreams came true along with emotional moment of him remembering the time he lost his loving parents.

Talks about the Talk

However, as per our Indian habits, it was not only the Ted Talk that went trending but its trolls too. While he talked in the world’s biggest platform for English speakers and thinkers. The Facebook surfaced his BA Economics DU marksheets with 51 marks in English. It wasn’t the first time that an actor’s marksheet made it to the fans but its timing made all the difference and began a line of trolls including tweets in which many individuals claimed to have better English than the latest Ted speaker. It was released by Du Times’s Facebook page.  But what happened in the past remains in the past. In today’s growing world a simple sheet of paper isn’t enough to decide the future of any talented individual. And SRK explained the same when asked for comments by Media, silencing his trollers.

Meanwhile, Shah’s TED talk isn’t something that we can let go unnoticed. His sheer amount intelligence and tactfulness is what this talk is representing.

Charms? Check!

“I’ve learned that whatever moves you, whatever urges you to create, build, whatever keeps you from failing, whatever helps you survive, is perhaps the oldest and the simplest emotion is known to mankind, and that is love. You may use your power to build walls and keep people outside or you may use it to break barriers and welcome them in. You may use your faith to make people afraid and terrify them into submission. Or you can use it to give courage to people, so they rise to the greatest heights of enlightenment,” the actor said.

Concluding his efforts, he turned out to be the funniest speaker we have seen on that stage in a while who kept blowing his audience’s minds away whenever he could with smart punches filling up the gaps in his talk. As it’s believed and motivated in the TED network, the public saw the other side of the larger than life movie star, the side which one can’t really hate but can easily relate to and understand that regardless of how much we came come across his philosophical side, he’s one such show stealer who can turn every event in to a light-hearted and emotional full stand-up act.

TED Talks India: Nayi Soch

After the talk, our expectations are sure to go up and for that, the Star India has got us covered with their upcoming TV series which will be hosted by no one other than Shah Rukh Khan. The program will air on Star India and marks the first-time TED is collaborating with a major network to produce a TV series featuring original TED Talks in a language other than English—Hindi.

As quoted on the Ted’s official blog, “It’s incredibly exciting to be bringing TED to India in this form,” TED curator Chris Anderson says. “The country is teeming with imagination and innovation, and we believe this series will tap into that spirit and bring insight and inspiration to many new minds.”

“The sheer size of Star TV’s audience, with more than 650 million viewers, makes this a significant milestone in TED’s ongoing effort to bring big ideas to curious minds,” adds Juliet Blake, head of TV at TED and executive producer of the series. “Global television is opening up a new frontier for TED.” Adding up to the hype of the talk. Shah Rukh Khan has gotten everyone very excited and thanks to Ted that this time we’ll be getting something amazing and useful unlike the cliched movies like ADHM.

Have you seen the original talk? If not, what are you waiting for? You can check the original talk at the Ted’s website or by clicking here.

What makes an Idea great?

Is it its uniqueness, its practicality or its power? According to me, the greatness of an Idea can be measured by the challenges it has to overcome. In other words, an idea isn’t good if no one want to challenge it.

And people (smart people) only challenge those ideas which have something in them. The only ideas that are challenged are the ones which can create the history of the future. The idea that was once thought about 30 years ago by a patient of Dyslexia (learning disorder) about a box of wires that can accompany us in most of our daily tasks sounded way stupid to people and was challenged, of course a hundred times by a million people, but created history when overcoming these challenges, this idea gave birth to first ever Mac computer launched by the Dyslexic man, Steve Jobs.

Actually, these challenges are designed to help our ideas to improve & develop. They are like our reminders for the minor parts that our ideas need to run but are missing them. An idea’s existence depends on 3 main ingredients i.e. passion, hard work and opposition. 2 of these (hard work and passion) automatically increase when we try to reduce the third one.

This whole challenge thing may work perfectly, but we don’t have many examples in real life to prove it. The reason behind this is the lack of braveness and power of acceptance. We need to be brave enough to accept a criticism, examine it and then learn from it. But we do exactly opposite, we choose to deny every criticism, curse it and run from it. This needs to be stopped right now only then the good ideas can survive.

So, how many challenges does your big idea have? Tell me in the comments. Don’t forget to like, share & subscribe for more stuff like this. And follow us on Facebook to keep yourself updated by all our work.

Grammarly: The Life Saving Tool for Bloggers and Writers

Being a non-native English speaker makes people like me cautious of grammar and spelling when writing anything in English. So today I’m going to share a bit about the friend who saved me from this problem. The program is called Grammarly, I immediately decided to give it a go when I found out about it.

I first started using the free version, which was impressive, even with its limitations. But for this review, I will discuss both the premium and basic features of the software. I personally prefer the premium which is available for as low as $11 per year which isn’t even equal to your toilet paper budget, but lower and let you experience the full features of Grammarly.

Roses

Once there was a girl

Who plucked a rose from her garden every time she started loving someone

As though they were tiny parts of her heart

One for the little kid with his red ball and kites

One for the old lady who lived down the lane

One for her best friend whom she had planned a sleepover with

And so on

Time flew by and the people she loved grew

(As the roses in her garden decreased)

One for the blonde guy on the basketball team

Who got really angry when his team lost

And sometimes whose house she left with a bruise or two

One for the lead singer in her high school band

Who smoked cigarettes and played an electric guitar with angry fingers

One for the boy with the dreamy eyes

Who she believed to love her right

But no

He burned out her soul like a firewood hearth

Broke her like the windowpane of that old cottage

Sharp at the edges

Leaving an empty void in the place of her heart

Now she puts her roses to a better use

One for each slit on her arm

The color of the dripping blood deeper than the petals of the flower

So now there is a girl

Who plucks a rose every time she’s falling apart.

The Real Mard

MARD. A poem by Javed Akhtar.

Jiski aankhon mein hai jagmagati hui jaise gehri sharaafat ki ik roshni

Jis ke andaz mein ek tehzeeb hai

Jis ke lehjay mein narmi hai

shabdon mein tameez hai

Jis ke dil mein bhi aur jis ki baton mein bhi

aurat ke vastay poori izzat bhi hai poora aadar bhi hai

Jis ko aurat ke tan man ka, jeevan ka sammaan hai

Aurat ke aatm-sammaan ka jisko har ek pal dhyaan hai

Jo kabhi ek pal bhi nahin bhoolta aurat insaan hai

Jis ko apni bhi pehchaan hai

Jis mein shakti bhi hai

Jis mein himmat bhi hai

Jismein Gaurav hai, aatm-Vishwas hai

Jo agar saath hai

Jo agar paas hai

Uske hone se aurat ko apni suraksha ka ehsaas hai

Wo jo aurat ka ek sacha saathi hai, Ik dost hai, Ek hamdard hai

Sach Toh ye hai

vohi mard hain

The Secret Formula to a Perfect Life.

We’re taught to work and study hard since our childhood for a better tomorrow, but I feel that it’s the time for me at least, to stop and reflect how it works and if it’s the right way to live.

People around the globe, most of them, think it’s worth their while to work hard today for wealthy years of retirement in distant future. But is the ability to have fun received in the age when one can’t barely walk by himself is worth it? These people usually end up losing joyful stuff to only realize that good times aren’t ever materialized.

I suggest everyone, to aim for the “unrealistic” things like traveling the world which will set you apart from people thinking “realistically” and settling for mediocrity Plus, with most people aiming for the good stuff, the great stuff is available for a lot less fierce competition.

Unlike people who spend living away from their dreams, taking safe roads of hard work with an illusion of joyful retirement. This has to stop because the perfect moment as per the people who are successful as well as happy to live your dreams is NOW.

This fantasy-like life is nowadays more easily possible which only one thing that everyone needs; an automatic income: a source of money that can be managed effortlessly from anywhere on the planet with along an income that you can earn while sleeping. The best examples are people in Photography, writing, music, art business who can create their works anywhere and share using our super technology to anywhere with earning while the stuff is being sold everywhere even when they are in their sleep.

Living a true life, from my experience is doing stuff that may seem unworthy but is Fun, because we only live once, having hard conversations which are Important because they’ll set you free and Disregarding conventions that others stick to because doing so will make you different.

Which way of living are you gonna choose? What do you want me to write about? Tell me in the comments. Don’t forget to like, share & subscribe for more stuff like this. And follow us on Facebook to keep yourself updated by all our work.

Yes! I am crazy and you should be too | Here’s why!

On the scale of 10, how will you rate your craziness? Mine is the mountain gorilla because for me, it’s the stage of living with super powers and who don’t need them?

Just think about the crazy (in medical terms) people’s mind like a video game in which some have to face a scary land and others their childhood from which many don’t want to come out. How beautiful is it just being able to think like that? Many of you have already started suspecting me to be one of them, but I or no one on the earth really does care about it. How much care and attention do you expect from a population who even suspect god?

Anyways, who don’t want to enter the fictional world of Harry Potter or Narnia? (even for a moment) And we have to confess that all of us, now or then travel into one of these worlds, maybe not physically, but in our daydreams or the books we read. This according to me in the craziness; the state of stopping to run from our wondering mind and travelling along it to the place we know don’t exist. People in asylum go mad not because of depression or something like that but because the real world has stopped engaging their interests and their minds need a new place, no matter good or bad to run to. This craziness is also that secret weapon that writers like J.K Rowling uses to create worlds like Hogwarts; by switching to the mode of thinking that have no prejudice or borders and make the things, creatures and places that can never exist. In other words, you can’t create a character like Dumbledore, Zelda or Minions if you aren’t crazy enough.

All this isn’t only about travelling to these dreamlands from time to time which will keep you sane & human, but also about turning them real. How, you may ask? By writing, painting or programming them to life.

So, which new world are you giving birth to? Tell me in the comments!
