I've been a Buehlman fan since his debut, and this is without a doubt his best yet.

It's the ultimate road trip novel...if you're idea of a good road trip is traversing plague-infected Europe, battling lake monsters, thwarting murderous ghosts, evading ravenous statues that come to life at sundown, and witnessing battles between angels and demons that leave the countryside in ruin.

Terrifying and captivating...a wonderful read.
