Title: Come What May (Heartbeat #2)
Author: Faith Sullivan
Expected release date: June 4, 2013

Book Description:
Adam is through with love.
He unravels blaming himself for what happened with Katie.
His final moments with her echo through his nightmares.
She owns him body and soul.
To dull the pain, Adam invites a string of women into his bed. Fueled by alcohol and desperation, his meaningless hook-ups provide little comfort. When he closes his eyes, it's Katie he sees.
The only one who helps to ease his guilt somewhat is Jada. But as his new ambulance partner, Adam considers her off limits. He doesn't want to get seriously involved with anyone, much less her. Yet he can't stop fantasizing about the feel of her caramel skin against his.
Despite his intentions, Adam's bond with Jada deepens as they respond to a series of emotional calls. Their mutual attraction becomes undeniable. But how can he give his heart to Jada when it still belongs to Katie?

Random Things about Author, Faith Sullivan:
- She was so much smarter as a teenager.
- She's a slow reader.
- She tends to like a book more for its characters rather than its plot.
- She appreciates people who are genuinely kind and come through when you need them.
- As a creative person, she's not always fun to live with, but she keeps things interesting.
- She misses the days when all she had was a rotary phone that didn't even have an answering machine.
- She's a child of the 1980s, and a teenager of the 1990s.
- She loves her dog.
- She likes to travel and see new places - when her limited budget allows.
- She thinks in another lifetime she lived in the UK somewhere by the coast.
- When she feels an emotion, she feels it deeply. It's a curse.
- She has an overactive imagination. Writing helps alleviate that problem.
- Nine times out of ten, she believes a good book trumps reality.

Five Ways to Help Me Launch My Next Book
I happen to know I have the world's best fans. You guys are amazing and you've made a massive difference in my life. As I gear up for the launch of
Love in Darkness
, I could use a little help, if you've got a minute or two. Here are five ways you can help set my book up for a successful launch:
1) Add the book to your to-read list on Goodreads - if you plan to read it. I'm not advocating anyone game the system or stuff any ballot boxes, but more adds leads to more visibility of the book. Here's a button to add the book to your To Read list:
2) Enter the giveaway for a signed copy of the book. Even if you're family; even if you know you'll see me in person sometime soon and be able to get your copy of the book signed. Goodreads works on link associations, so the more people who sign up for the giveaway, the more visible it will be on the site. You can enter the giveaway by clicking here:

Goodreads Book Giveaway
Love in Darkness by Emily Mah Tippetts Giveaway ends May 23, 2013.
See the giveaway details at Goodreads. Enter to win 3) Listopia lists on Goodreads. These take more time, but essentially, there are lists on Goodreads that are put together by readers and writers that organize books by topic. Now, I'm quite happy to put my books on lists that are descriptive, i.e. Love in Darkness is on most of the "books about mental illness" and "books about schizophrenia" lists. I do not, however, put my book on lists like "Best Indie YA/NA Books" or "Highly Anticipated Books of 2013". Nor do I vote for my own books on lists like "Indie Authors to Watch." Because if every author did that, those lists would be pointless. A lot of breakout indie hits, though, benefit from fans who do this. So if you have a spare five minutes and you feel the book belongs on any of these lists, if you could add it/vote for it (if it's already added), this again is a tremendous help.
4) When/if you buy the book, use the Amazon tool to tweet that you bought it. Those of you who have your Amazon account linked to your Twitter account, you will have the option when you buy any book to tweet, "I just bought X book." In general, if you do that, this helps the book's visibility. Now, you may not want the world knowing about every book you buy as that can seem like more information than the world has the right to know, but every time you click that button, you help the author of the book.
5) Leave a review. Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, etc. All of these sites enable you to leave a review. I know it takes an extra few minutes, but any review is a big help. Obviously good reviews help more than bad ones, but I'm sincerely grateful for every review I get, because I know it takes a bit of time to do.
This year there are more books competing to climb the sales ranks than ever, so any little edge makes a big difference. I appreciate all of you who've stuck with me through this whole journey. You're the best, and I look forward to writing many, many more books for you!

Next Book Announcement: We're All Getting Tattoos and Helping Fight AIDS!
Do I even need to elaborate on that post title? It's all perfectly clear, isn't it?
Okay, fine. No, the title of my next book will not be "We're All Getting Tattoos and Helping Fight AIDS." We don't all have to get tattooed, but we can if we want because I've enlisted the services of Leslie Mah Tattoo to do some work on the main character of my next novel. Which character is this? Kyra Armijo.
That's right, Jason Vanderholt's wayward niece is stepping up to take the lead of her own novel, and is getting inked, for real. And you can too, because that tattoo that Leslie's designing? It'll be printed up as temporary tattoos, so we can all wear Kyra's tattoo.
What is the tattoo of? What's the significance? All in good time. I actually want to take this announcement in a different direction, the fighting AIDS direction. Leslie won't let me pay her. She's mean like that, but she happens to be raising money for AIDS LifeCycle. Here's the post from her personal LifeCycle page:
She and I have already discussed ideas for the tattoo, but the details will be revealed at a later date, along with other details like the release date of the book (likely October or November) and the title (current working title, BREAK IT UP). And yes, I had originally planned to do the next FAIRYTALE installment next, but that would be my third sequel in a row, so I'm going to write Kyra's novel, which will be a stand alone, and then the next FAIRYTALE book directly afterwards.
To donate to Leslie's LifeCycle Fund, click here, you'll support a good cause, and a good person (not that I'm biased in the least ;-)

I'm Riding to End AIDS, again!
I signed up yet again! Having my community support me on this ride makes me feel like a super hero, one that actually saves lives. Please support my fundraising for HIV/AIDS services and research. Thank you!So as you can see, Leslie is a giver, and I've donated to her LifeCycle Fund. Now I'm asking fans to consider doing the same. It doesn't have to be a lot. This is crowdsource funding. Drop in a dollar or five and help my cousin (er... yes, did I not mention that? Leslie's also my first cousin) raise money for HIV and AIDS research.
From June 2-8, 2013, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.

Lindi Maqhubela Interviews Me on Inspiration for Creation
I know I look a little worse for wear from a long day writing and mothering, but that's pretty much what I always look like. This is the first video interview I've ever done, and Lindi was a fantastic interviewer asking all kinds of interesting questions about writing.
