Saba Kapur's Blog - Posts Tagged "black-ice"

Hello Goodreads!

Hola! So I've finally started up a Goodreads account, which truthfully, I don't know why I hadn't done before. It's been a day and I've already found a heap of new books I want to read that I had never even heard of. It's a utopia!

This blog post is really just a short introduction. I'm Saba Kapur, hello! *waves* If you've already read my bio then you'll know the following information, but what the heck. Read on anyway! I am a 19 year old author currently based in Melbourne, and excitedly awaiting the release of my first YA novel, Lucky Me.

Now this is totally not a shameless plug, I promise, but the book does come out April 5th and I happen to think it's great, if you're into fashion, celebrities, mystery and humour. But then again, I could be a little bias.

If you'd ever like to ask me a question or get to know me a little more, then Goodreads is the best place to do it!

In the meantime, I'll get back to reading 'Black Ice,' which has me completely hooked by the way. I should have a review up in a couple of days!

Black Ice Review

Black Ice- Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick

*Contains a few spoilers*

Officially finished Black Ice yesterday, and I have to say, it was really great!

I'm not a big fan of reading supernatural love stories (even though I'm down for just about any vampire show on TV), so when I initially started the Hush Hush series, I was a little apprehensive. But Becca Fitzpatrick just has this way of drawing you into the world of her characters, and inevitably you become hooked.

Black Ice is NOT a supernatural book, but it is equally thrilling. It was so great to see strong female character (Britt) that equally vulnerable to what was happening. Mason was extremely likeable from the start, and although the twist in the book wasn't completely out of the blue, it did add a lot of suspense to the book.

I would have liked to know a little more about Mason's family/background (besides his sister obviously). But every time I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about it!

Definitely worth a read!
