Remembering God

Isaiah 46:9-10

9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Here lately I have been thinking about remembering God. It’s not that I forget about God, it is just me thinking of everything who he truly is and how powerful he is. We forget that he always was and always will be. Nothing happens without his approval and if he decides for something to happen, nothing can stop it. We having a problem remembering that. We fail to realize that God may let things hit us, but it is to make us stronger. Always remember that he is God and even if we don’t like what he has planned, we have no choice but to accept it.

Curse To A Blessing

Deuteronomy 23:5

5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

Often we hit bad times and we think we are cursed. Their is an old song that goes he will make this trial a blessing. We forget that at times. We forget that no diagnosis put on us nor any curse thrown at us can cross God. He can take that curse and turn it into a testimony unlike anything ever heard. At times we forget that he is God and that he will sometimes let the enemy attack just to then show up and turn it all around. So, when you feel cursed, know that at any time he can turn it into a blessing.

Teaching A Generation

Titus 2:3-4

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

This verse is telling a woman how to live life and raise the next generation of women. It is telling the older to teach the younger. In today’s time you can not tell who is the older or the young. Mothers have decided to be their daughters friends instead of raising them in God. They do not want to upset or hurt their feelings. It is a sad day. The older generation of women should care about these young souls coming up. They should want to see them follow God. It is okay to goof off with your daughter, but you need to raise them in God. Teach them that they are special and that if they follow God he will give them a Godly man. Teach them to love their children more than themselves. It is time for the older to once again teach the younger in the ways of God.

The Holy Spirit

John 16:13-14

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The Holy spirit/ghost is what was sent to lead us to God. It is the guiding spirit and the voice of truth. The question is, how do we know if it is the exact thing speaking to us? Well, I do not think the enemy will tell you to go to church, pray for the sick, and testify of your God. However, it goes so much deeper than that. Whenever you are reading your Bible and feel like there is something you just have to read, pray that God guides you. The Holy spirit will lead you to the exact thing you need to read. Learn to let the spirit lead you and walk in it. It will lead you closer to God then you ever thought possible.

Hated For The Truth

John 15:22-24

22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

If you despise the teaching of Christ, then you in turn hate the creator, God. The truth is, Jesus was the perfect sacrifice. He died for our sins. Yet many still hated him. He had performed amazing miracles and yet they hated him because he told them the truth. He did not pat them on the back and tell them it was all okay. No, he told them the truth and did not back down. Sounds like how many act today. Let someone teach the word in truth and see how many get upset with them. If you are one that are hurting feelings with the truth keep it up. You may be hated but you may be the only person they hear it from. Do not stop because someone gets upset.

Using What God Taught Us

James 1:22-25

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

This is like owning tools and not using them. You can go buy yourself the best tools and store them in a fancy tool box. You know what they are and how to use each one of them, but you never get them out. They become useless. It does not matter how expensive they were. If not used, they are paper weights. However, if you put those tools to use, you can build something amazing. When we hear the word and never put it to use, it is just like that tool in the tool box. We have to get out and put the word to use. When we get to using the word and things God teaches us, we can build something truly beautiful. If we use what God has given us, we can see people healed of addiction, sick become well, and even sinners turn from their wicked ways. Once you have learned the word, it is time to get to work. Start praying again. Start having faith again. Just get out and testify again. Let’s get back to taking what we have learned and teach others.

Both Good And Bad Days

Philipians 4:11-13

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

In life you will have hard times. There may be a day that you do not know where the next meal is coming from. Bills are passed due and the collectors are calling. Then, there will be days when being hungry is far from you mind. Your bank account is full and you have not a care in the world. These days have one thing in common, the strength Christ gives you is what helps you through them. Im the bad days he will give you the peace and patience to make it through. He provides the way for the food on your table and the bills to be paid. On those good days Christ is what keeps you grounded. He helps you stay humble so your pride does not swell. You may think that you have done it all on you own, but you have not. It is Christ who gave you the strength on the days you were to tired for work to get up and go. It was Christ that as you cried those silent tired wrapped his arms around you. Christ is the reason we have those good days. So, no matter good or bad day, always remember it was Jesus who gave you the strength to make it.

The Glue In The Marriage

Genesis 2:24

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Marriage is a simple concept, you find the one you love ask her to marry you, and then live happily ever after. However, it is not an easy task. You will have fights and hurt each other’s feeling almost everyday. Husband will do things the wife despises, like leaving shoes in the middle of the floor, and wife’s always have to be right, which is not always true. It is challenging at times. Let’s not forget about the in-laws that think they always know best. They will tell you what they would do and not know a thing that they are talking about. Yea, marriage is like a bed of roses, thorns and all. There is a secret to make it work. There is an easy way to make the arguments fade. Keep God in your marriage. He is the glue that holds things together. When you are arguing about a decision, pray together and ask God for guidance. I promise he is not going to lead you down different paths. When you take that vowel it is to one another. It is not to the wife’s parents, nor the husband’s. It is to one another and to God.

Time To Be A Man

1 Timothy 5:8

8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

In today’s world it is sadly becoming common for men not to work. It is becoming to common for men to find a way out of work. Now, do not get me wrong I know there are people who just cannot work, but most can and choose not to. Trust me I would love to stay home and spend the day with my kids, but God wants a man to be a man. I am not saying you have to be the only one working nor that you have to bring home the most money. However, I am saying, you need to be supplying for your family. I know this is not popular in a day when men are supposed to be in touch with their emotions, but God does not change to fit today’s standard. God told us that we would have to work to receive our harvest by the sweat of our brow. I know you get tired at times and I know layoffs happen. If that happens ask God to give you another way to supply for your family. When a job gets to hard to work, do not quit, instead pray for God to help you or give you another job. It is real simple guys, put your big boy pants on and be a man it is what God ordered us to do.

Live To Show Proof

2 Corinthians 13:5

5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Can you prove to me that God Exist? Can you prove to me that you are saved? How about you prove to me that Jesus died on the cross. I know you are wondering why is he saying these things. Well there is a reason. Do you have to prove these things to the world? Well you can try but the world will have fifty other challenging questions the minute you answer the first one. All we must do is prove to ourselves that we have faith. Look deep inside and ask yourself if the faith is there. Think if the most unimaginable thing happened, would God be the one you turn to? If you can say yes than a spark of faith is there. If you believe one hundred percent that Christ died than you are there. Prove it to yourself. Set it in stone then just live the life of faith. The world will try to question you until you lose faith, but if you walk in faith eventually they will see the proof without you opening your mouth.
