This is who I am, dear friends.

A storyteller-mystic,
tender of souls,
an innocent though worldly one

transcendentalist poet
Irish bard and troubadour—

has vividly portrayed
what others long to learn.
Wise as a crone,
though living young,
a helper and a healer
who may, on occasion, lose her way
in the shadow of others’ purposes

yet a pillar of strength
when she reaches high enough

to let go all other voices
except the holy one that sings perpetually
of compassion and forgiveness
in the secret chambers of her heart.

A finisher, she is—
who dares to persevere to journey’s end,
wearing a moss-green cloak
that shimmers violet within
and gives off flecks of gold
as she walks toward a peach-hued sky

Weather permitting, I go for a walk and ALWAYS take a notebook with me. I once spent 30 minutes leaning against a tree writing furiously because the ideas I needed came pouring out as soon as I was 2 blocks from home.(less)

“Sometimes things don't change the way we expect or want. But that doesn't mean the Universe is not hard at work on our behalf. It just means that life has its own way of helping us. And that often means bringing outworn patterns of thought or behavior to our attention so we can move closer to that deep, authentic Self we long for and that is always already present.”
