On the Wilder Ride Podcast

It was my pleasure to join Walt Murray and Alan J. Sanders over @TheWilderRide for some commentary on UFOs, writing and social situations including a chance to rattle off an Animal House quote. Give it a listen.

Blogging for Atheists Alliance International

I’m honored to have been brought on to contribute regularly at the Atheist Alliance International blog. The purpose of said organization is to educate its members and the public about atheism and critical thinking, and to support atheists around the world who are discriminated against and criminalized. Special thanks to Executive Director, Michael Sherlock, for recruiting me to join an exceptional team of writers.

General Nathan F. Twining And The Flying Disc Problem Of 1947

In 1947, the United States was dealing with reports of flying discs in its airspace. Were they a secret U.S. program or of foreign origin? General Nathan F. Twining signed a letter confirming the existence of the discs but admitted to not knowing their origin. Did the discs ever really exist?

My latest, in Skeptical Inquirer. And as always, thank for reading!

On the Micah Hanks Program

Monday, January 13th, I joined Micah Hanks on his program to discuss issues ranging from ancient astronaut theory to atheism, politics, and UFOs. We talk about what led to me writing my novel, Chasing Disclosure, where UFOs, ancient alien theory, and other paranormal themes are par for the course. We talk about all of these ideas, and more, including my personal correspondence he once shared with Zechariah Sitchin.

A Beastie Revolution

Today was the day to reflect on my teenage years. It started with my sister-in-law’s birthday party this past Saturday where the consumption of pinot noir and some peach moonshine turned into a Doordash order for White Castle then wrestling with a Doberman and then making Alexa play all the hits from when my brother and I were teens in the 1980s. And by that, I mean Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Kennedys, some Elton John, even an Elvis piece just to be eclectic. But then the entire Beastie Boys, Licensed to Ill album. And the question turned to, when was the last time we heard from them?

Difference Between Writing and Getting it Down

Here in Michigan, we can generally count on three months of warm weather – June, July and August. We’ll get a couple eighty-degree days before and after but the only constant warm weather is right in the middle of the year. So for three months, since 2018, I’ve been able to enjoy the sport of paddleboarding. I first tried it around 2012 and finally bought my own (instead of renting) in May of 2018. And I can’t recommend it any higher as a relaxing, yet full body workout engagement with nature. I don’t share this hobby with anyone so I tend to go alone but the hours I spend out on the water, exploring small islands and the bottoms of lakes when I go in for a swim, is the perfect time for writing.

The Pareidolia of Mars

It could have been 1989 or 1990 but at some point, with my interests expanding regarding ancient Egypt, and friend of mine involved in astronomy casually said, “You know they have pyramids on Mars?” My response was probably like everyone else who ever heard that, “What?”
