What are the best trading applications for crypto trading?

Binance, US, Coinbase, eToro, Gemini, Robinhood are listed by Nerdwallet as the top trading platforms for crypto trading. These exchanges offer platforms to retailers, hedge funds, money managers, and others to trade in cryptocurrencies. Other services are also provided.

Coinbase, for instance, offers its platform to developers, merchants, and asset issuers to build applications that leverage crypto-protocols, participate in crypto-networks, and accept cryptocurrencies as payment. A majority of the exchanges are decentralized exchanges. It is a clear indicator of investor preference for privacy and desire to operate freely without government control.

Cryptocurrency Prices, Charts, And Market Capitalizations | CoinMarketCap, a market research website, estimates that cryptocurrencies stand around 15,000. The total value of all cryptocurrencies on December 3, 2021, was put at $2.6 trillion. Bitcoin is the largest, with a market cap that exceeds $1.1 trillion.

Regulation varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. In some countries, trading in cryptocurrencies is banned. In others like the US, it is permitted.

Cryptocurrencies are still a risky asset to invest in; investors should undertake extensive due diligence before investing.

Are co-dependant business models sustainable in the long run?

A business will thrive and grow with a business strategy that gives it a competitive advantage. Please take a look at your value chain the relationships between its activities. Compare these with those of your competitors.
If you observe that a competitor can easily replicate your enterprise activities, the business will get disrupted irrespective of what business model you have chosen.
Sustainability is dependent on its business model, but if it does not have a business strategy that will give it a sustained edge over competitors, you can keep changing your business model the enterprise will flounder.
I see so many businesses fussing over the business models, placing a lot of emphasis on a consultant building a killer business plan for them. On Upwork, you have so many contracts offered by SAAS, edtech, crypto, not for profits, and other companies seeking freelancers who will build a business plan or a pitch deck that they will pose to an investor. They are in the mistaken belief that a pretty business plan and pitch deck will make an investor open his purse, and their venture will fly.
It is an illusion that these businesses are running after. To build a successful business, look at the concept brought to the market, what your strategy will enable you to create a sustained competitive advantage, and then look at business models and plans.

What is the difference between natural and organic?

Organic food production prohibits the use of sewage sludge, genetically engineered or genetically modified organisms, ionizing radiation, most synthetic pesticides, and fertilizers. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, and dairy products must be free of antibiotics and growth hormones. Animals require to be fed on organic feed only. Organic regulation prescribes specific requirements for feeding, housing, and breeding. Animals need to be raised in natural, humane conditions.

Most regulators like the USFDA require agricultural farms to adhere to organic farming practices for three years before the farm output can be certified as organic. It ensures that crops are not contaminated with substances prohibited in organically produced food. National Organic Programs put standards that need to be adhered to to be certified organic.

The certification covers cultivation and storage, processing, packaging, and shipping. Standards for certification can vary from country to country. In some countries, certification is overseen by the government. In other jurisdictions – like the US and in India — certificate is provided by notified private institutions. Farmers engaged in organic farming must maintain an audit trail to allow inspectors to visit and keep the farm organically certified.

Certified organic foods do not necessarily need to be free of all pesticides; they do permit the use of some pesticides. Organic certification is issued to producers of agricultural and farm products, seed suppliers, food processors, retailers and restaurants, and all those who deal in organic farm products.

The food industry’s use of labels — natural, all-natural, free-range, or hormone-free — should not be confused with organic; the two are not synonymous. The use of natural, free-range, hormone-free is simply a statement describing the property in the food item. The natural label will mean minimally processed and could include non-use of artificial flavors and colors, preservatives, and other artificial ingredients.

What are NFT and Metaverse?

Metaverse is the next step in the evolution of the internet. It will be a virtual world that will make it possible for new use blockchain technology-based use cases like NFTs, cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, immersive gaming, and others all will be able to thrive, expand and communicate.
Blockchain technology probably arose from the need to democratize internet access, make it more cybersecure, and enable users to operate on the metaverse-based internet.
Industrial applications have already been conceptualized, keeping the Metaverse in view. Facebook has already renamed itself and is now calling itself Meta. Microsoft will have its next generation of enterprise solutions based on Metaverse.
There is still a lot of fuzziness around the concept of Metaverse. Depending on the use case – gaming, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, virtual interaction, and communication, we perceive this emerging way of virtual communication.
The technology will evolve, change and grow. One thing is clear, five years from now, the way we use the internet will have changed. The impact of the Metaverse will have a major effect on devices. Will the Metaverse be a brave new world of the internet? Technology enthusiasts are gushing all over the Metaverse. I believe the Metaverse will be one more step in the evolution of how we communicate virtually.

Are organic foods healthier?

It is also understood that organic farm produce is more nutritious, contains little or no pesticide residues. Organic farms provide more employment, improve soil biodiversity, show better crop pollination, have better soil structure, less soil erosion, and are more energy-efficient.

A comparison of the nutritional value, sensory qualities, and food safety of organically and conventionally produced foods were made. Except for nitrate content, there is no strong evidence that organic and conventional foods differ in various nutrients or contaminants (Bourn et al., 2002).

On the other hand, a nutritional quality comparative assessment study for fruits, vegetables, and grains raised in organic and conventionally grown crops showed that the former contained significantly more vitamin C, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus and considerably fewer nitrates (Worthington, 2001).

162 studies, of which 137 examined nutrient quality in crops and 25 livestock products, were analyzed. Conventionally produced crops had a significantly higher nitrogen content, and organic crops had a higher phosphorus content and higher titratable acidity. The scientists also noted no evidence of a difference in nutrient quality between organically and conventionally produced foodstuffs. Small differences in nutrient content between the two could be related to differences in production methods (Dangour et al., 2009).

Why am I not losing weight doing yoga?

People suffering from obesity may not lose weight by only eating less and doing exercise.

Three factors are externally responsible for obesity and obesity control. These are:

Nutrition: Certain foods, such as refined carbohydrates and unsaturated fats, contribute the most to obesity

Medicine: Certain prescription medicine, including anti-depressants, steroids, contraceptives, medications for diabetes, hypertension, migraines, seizures, bipolar disorder, allergies, insomnia, and a host of others, are associated with weight gain.

Sleep: Disrupted sleep or less than 7 hours or more than 9 hours of sleep can lead to obesity. Difficulty in breathing can also be a reason for disturbed sleep.

Obesity appears as a polygenic condition. It is affected by environmental factors (mainly unbalanced dietary patterns and physical inactivity). We will have to consider genetic factors in the fat reduction process. These are associated with a negative energy balance. (Martinez et al., 2008)

Simplistic prescriptions like eating less, creating a calorie deficit, doing yoga, or going to the gym, no wonder, do not yield results.

My research on Natural Solutions for Obesity taught me to look at this phenomenon holistically. The solutions are holistic, multi-disciplinary. They are a combination of measures that help the body address underlying issues and then resort to the standard eat less, creating calorie deficit solutions that everyone talks about.

What are the medicinal properties of holy basil, and what elements are found in it?

Holy basil, also locally called tulsi, is the common name of Ocimum tenuiflorum. It is a popular Indian medicinal plant. The herb is mentioned in Charaka Samhita. There are monographs of O. tenuiflorum published in the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India (Vol. II, 1999, and Vol. IV, 2004), Unani Pharmacopoeia of India (Vol. V, 2008), Thai Herbal Pharmacopoeia (Vol. I, 1995), Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia (1st ed., 1983), and World Health Organization (WHO) Monographs (Vol. 2, 2002).

Most of these systems of medicine recommend the use of the Holy Basil to treat arthritis, respiratory ailments, fever, influenza, stomach ailments, etc. Tulsi is a common ingredient in many Ayurveda and Unani medicines.

Ocimumosides A, B, and ocimarin are three compounds isolated from the extract of holy basil leaves that were proven to have anti-stress effects. The anti-stress properties of the herb have been validated in multiple studies (Archana et al., 2002; Samson et al., 2006; Samson et al. (2007 and Ravindran et al., 2005). Its neuroprotective properties have been observed in multiple studies (Yanpallewar et al., 2004; Siddique et al., 2007).

The antioxidant properties of tulsi were observed by Subramanian et al., 2013) and), who also observed that it caused a reduction in oxidative stress in the brain. It has been seen that tulsi possessed an amelioration property when the sciatic nerve was cut to induce neuro-dysfunction in rats (Muthuraman et al., 2008). This property could have value in finding treatments for the dysfunctions caused by damage to the nerves.

The plant contains alkaloids, glycosides, phenols, saponins, tannins, terpenes, etc.

Bidders can now bid for NFT tagged pieces of art in safety and security. Price of any asset – NFT tagged or other- reflects a customer’s perception of its value. The more secure the investor feels, his willingness to pay is higher.

They also understand that adopting the technology will bring about transformational change to how financial management is done. The technology can make huge efficiency gains and give national and global financial management a quantum leap.

Trading in crypto-assets, including cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and others, is done on exchanges. Broadly there are two types of exchanges – decentralized where no KYC information is asked, and the investor can invest anonymously. Centralized exchanges capture investor KYC data.

Central Banks and governments in most parts of the world are against anonymous trading. Some jurisdictions like China have banned trading in cryptocurrencies completed.

Nearly all major central banks, though, want to leverage the technology and are in the process of creating national digital currencies. They are unanimous that cryptocurrency should not become a haven for money laundering.

I, therefore, believe cryptocurrencies will gradually gain wider acceptability as an asset class, but with government regulatory control.

The future in investing in blockchain technology-based assets probably belongs to other assets like NFTs and others. Blockchain-based digital networks will slowly and surely replace existing investment networks for investment. These networks will be more secure. Will cryptocurrencies become the dominant asset class that rides on these networks is a question on which the jury is still out.

How do investors value NFTs?

NFT is just a digital tag on a product. It is unique and non-replicable. The tag represents and authenticates a product, prevents duplicates and fakes from being created.
A Picasso, for instance, could be tagged with an NFT. Now the owner wants to sell the Picasso in the market. You do not require to carry the painting and display it in an auction house. Instead, you can digitally sell the Picasso’s representation- the NFT.
NFTs, therefore, assist in trading products of value. It is the use of a secure technology blockchain that is aiding safe trading in products digitally.
Because blockchain technology is new, people try to complicate products created using the technology. Often, it is for leverage. It has become a means to mystify something that will become commonplace in a few years.
Valuation of an NFT will therefore happen like any other product. Investors use two popular methods to value stocks, companies, and other valuable products. These are discounted cash flow or relative valuation methods.
