BRUCE BUTLER is a semi-retired professional engineer who writes about his passions: engineering, cycling, and science fiction.

He has worked in the high-technology field for thirty-five years in marine navigation, autonomous vehicles (land, underwater), vessel surveillance, telecommunications, mining automation, and remote control of construction equipment.

He is a bona fide nerd/trekkie who also enjoys trail running, cycling, swimming and doing Ironman triathlons. When not writing or exercising he likes to do home renovations.

He lives in Penticton, British Columbia and is currently working on his third book, a hard science fiction novel.

As I worked my way through the books in the Expanse series, I often wondered how the authors would wrap up the story arc. I was pleasantly surprised. The authors did a good job of tying up all the story threads.

I found the "Dreamers" interludes a bit

A freebie from BookBub.

If I manage to get through a book, it gets at least two stars. That's all I could give this terrible, amateur attempt at fiction.

The first half of the book kept me interested, but then I suddenly lost interest once the dinosaur

Dinosaur Lake by Kathryn Meyer Griffith
"This is a *terrible* book. Full of malapropisms, wooden characters, clichéed plot-devices..... The Dinosaurs lured me in, and the Crater Lake setting. And the author spins a pretty good story. Well, OK story. But, oh God, the writing! I did finish it" Read more of this review »
