Wow! Just…wow! How’s that for a review? But that is truly the thought I
had after reading Apocalypse: The Memoir, the first book released by
author Chantelle Oliver. Have you ever read a book where, after you
finished it, you just wanted to meet the author in order to find out how
her mind works? Well, this book is one of those. Following the 15-year-old
author as she crosses the country towards Las Vegas to find her father,
right in the middle of an apocalypse of massive proportions, the book is
full of humor, action, adventure, excitement and again, just…wow!

Author Chantelle Oliver has an incredibly interesting and unique writing
style, one which I certainly have not run into before. And I do a lot of
reading. Her story grabbed me from the first page, and I could not put
the book down. Oliver has an great way with words and is extremely
skilled with descriptions, so the reader will truly feel as if they are in the
scenario, experiencing all the things that our protagonist did. This read
was very different and exciting and I enjoyed it completely. Apocalypse:
The Memoir is a book that would be best enjoyed by any reader who
enjoys extremely creative writing, a fast paced, fun, and exciting read, or
just an intriguing book in general. I recommend this book, and am
certainly looking forward to seeing what creative work author Chantelle
Oliver puts forward next!
