Ghost Writer

It has been almost three long years since my last release and five long months since my last blog post. But one thing is for sure, it has not been due to a lack of ideas.
Sometimes we struggle with our craft and our lives to find something meaningful to share with others, to make positive changes.

I write this post today to to share that a future release is certain, yet the date is a bit ambiguous at present. With my first book I feel that there was a real sense of honesty in terms of what I put into the characters and a large aspect of realism to its narrative to which people can relate. I wish the next book to have an abundance of these qualities too.

As with all authors the love of reading has not dwindled and I continue to enjoy making new discoveries and making new additions to my bookshelves.

You can follow what I am reading if you wish by finding my ‘currently reading’ and Facebook page.
While this year I look to cover some modern classics of literature which you may have already read, you may find there are many you haven’t.

As always any updates will be posted here in terms of my writing.

Page to screen vs screen to page

Blood Father by Peter Craig Yesterday I watched the film 'Blood Father' the film adaptation of the book by Peter Craig. I was not only enticed by the trailer but also by the fact that I hadn't seen a Mel Gibson film since 'How I spent my summer vacation' a couple of years ago. A film by the way which reminded me of how much I enjoyed Gibson's screen presence.

Needless to say I enjoyed the 'Blood Father' immensely and when the credits began to roll I was reminded that the story originated from the novel of the same name. And it got me thinking, there is always much talk of how adaptations differ from books (in most cases people will often read the book before watching the film).
But how many of you convert backwards and does it change your perception of which is better? Would you agree that without film adaptations would many of us find out about authors who are now household names?
After all were it not for the American Psycho motion picture I probably wouldn't have begun to read many of Bret Easton Ellis's works and were it not for the Shining or various other Stephen King adaptations I probably wouldn't have read any Stephen King either, and both are now two of my favourite authors (by the way the book has won every time).

I have already added Blood Father to my to read list but was curious as to how many of you have been lead from screen to book and if so which films and authors have you discovered?

Less than 24 hours.

In less than 24 hours, 'A Pefect Hunt' will be available to read. This is a project that is a little different from my previous releases and is something that I have enjoyed immensely. The second part is almost ready and I cannot wait to release this in the next couple of weeks.

I want to say a huge thanks to the people that are supporting me. As an indie author it can sometimes be a little difficult to get a lot of exposure, and your support it really does go a long way.
Reviews as I'm sure you are aware also help, so once you have read and have the time to share a few words, please do, it would mean the world.

You can pre-order a copy and be one of the first to read by clicking the link below.
