Blast From the Past by Angela Verdenius

Woot! Angela Verdenius has a new release, and I'm so excited for her, I wanna scream it to the world.

Have you met Angela yet? If not, let me tell you about this incredible Aussie author:

Angela is one of those authors who just knows how to write. She captures her characters' essence so unbelievably well, before you know it you are a part of the book, living the story right along with her characters.

Ang is just naturally talented when it comes to story telling.

The first book I ever read of hers was Operation Seduction, which originally appeared in the Boys Down Under Anthology, and later released as an individual novella:

From that instant on, I was hooked on her work.

She has an incredible Sci Fi series, called Love Heart and Soul, and has established a huge following, with readers crying out for more books.

Now, Ang has a new release with Eternal Press, called Blast From the Past.

BLAST FROM THE PAST: The Blurb

When a five-thousand-year-old woman is discovered in hibernation, no one, especially the cool, calm and collected Captain Alsandair Amirov, had any idea the trouble she was going to bring once she was revived.

Emotional turmoil, a womanizing treasure hunter, the rise of a predator and, oh yes, trouble in the form of a reptilian race out to kill her…

This blast from the past was going to have an impact…big time.

—————

Wanna know another reason I'm so excited about this new release from Angela?

Well, check out her dedication:

To Jess Dee, who got me started on writing this novella!

To Brenda Edde and Maureen De Rosario for listening to me moan, and to Theresa O'Hagan for having the biggest, softest, kitty- lovin' heart around.

See? Of course I have to love the book.

:D

Now, go and discover the wonderful world of Angela Verdenius for yourself!

I promise, you will never look back.

Full House – A Teaser

Thought I'd post a little teaser from Full House tonight.

The cover is so gorgeous (see the previous post), I think it deserves a hawt, little excerpt to go with it, don't you?

Now, a word or two of warning:

If you're not yet eighteen or older, do not read this. And if you're not so partial to m/m romance… well, than this one isn't for you.

FULL HOUSE:

A full house beats a pair any day.

—————-

It took a while before Trev's eyes opened, and when they did, the dark lust seeping from them almost undid Max. How was it possible Trev could be this aroused—and Max knew when Trev was aroused, he'd spent two years studying the phenomenon—if things were complicated?

"Yes or no?" Max asked, his voice a whisper, his heart clenched in a vise. God help him, he needed Trev to say yes.

Trev froze.

The merciless grinding of cock against cock ceased. For endless seconds neither man moved. Trev stared at Max's mouth and Max stared at Trev's eyes. Muted laughter filtered through the door.

His balls ached, burning with pent-up desire.

"Shit." Trev released him with a curse and stepped away. He rubbed his groin as though in pain.

Max could relate.

"Shit," Trev swore again and walked backward until his butt hit the bench top, then he swung around so fast he knocked over a silver bucket.

The resounding clatter of ice crashing into the sink did little to relieve the pressure in Max's neck or dick. He breathed deep and rolled his shoulders, wishing he didn't feel like a tightly wound coil.

"I want you to stay the night."

Trev's words were soft, but Max heard them. Exalted in them. "You do?"

"Christ, yes," Trev snapped. "I want you to fuck me so bad I can hardly breathe from it."

Joy flooded Max's system, so intense it almost knocked him sideways.

Trev shook his head. "But you can't."

A blow to the nuts couldn't have hit harder.

It took Max a good few seconds to find his voice. Recovery from rejection took time. Finally he raised his hands in acceptance, pretending everything was cool. Then he dropped them. Trev wasn't looking his way and the effort of holding them up about killed him. "Whatever, mate. It's your call."

Trev spun around, disbelief blazing in his face. "Whatever?"

"Yes, no, it's your choice." Christ, how did he present such a calm façade when his insides were shriveling? "You said no. No worries."

"No worries?" Trev fisted his hands at his chest.

A fighter pose or a protective one?

"No worries?" Trev said again, his voice loud in the small room. He swore and spoke more softly. "I've spent six fucking weeks waiting to see you again. Six weeks fantasizing about you and your damn dick, and all you can say is no worries?"

"What the fuck?" There went Max's rational thought again. If Trev had spent six weeks fantasizing, then why the hell didn't he want Max spending the night?

Trev glowered at him, his expression incredulous and conflicted.

Max stalked across the kitchen, getting in Trev's face, pressing his chest against Trev's fists, squashing them between their two bodies. "You think I don't wanna spend the night?" There was nothing he wanted more—except perhaps a lifetime of spending the night with Trev. "You think I don't wanna fuck you?" Wait. He didn't. "Make love to you?" Ah, that he did. He shuffled back an inch and cupped his hand none too gently over the bulge in Trev's pants.

Trev jerked beneath his touch and made that same animalistic sound deep in his throat.

"You think I haven't spent the last month thinking about this?" Christ, he loved Trev's dick. Touching it again, even over his jeans, was doing mad things to his breathing. Trev was every bit as hard as he was. "Damn it, I'm having wet dreams about you. Fucking wet dreams." Sleeping alone in hotel rooms was no fun. Not when the huge double beds rattled with emptiness. "So don't get pissy with me, mate. You said not tonight. Not me."

Trev's hands uncurled, and he turned them so his palms were pressed against Max's chest. "I said it was complicated." Trev closed his eyes.

Max forced his mind away from Trev's touch, away from the cock in his hand. "And just what the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"It means I have to tell you something."

He dropped his arm, releasing Trev's dick. If those weren't the deadliest words ever invented—

Hawt, sexy new cover

I finally have it. My new cover.

It's the awesome artwork from Scott Carpenter, and it is gorgeous. (Yep, even my hubby was drooling over it.)

Full House is the third book in the Three of A Kind Series.

Wanna know more about it? You can check out an excerpt at Samhain Publishing, and here is the blurb:

FULL HOUSE

A full house beats a pair any day.

Three of a Kind, Book 3

It's been a long, lonely business trip for diamond dealer Max Ashberg. He's missed his lover like crazy, and he's come to the realization that he's ready to take the next step: nominate himself to be Trev's new housemate. Except when he gets to Trev's place, there's someone living in "his" room. A woman—with the face of an angel.

Six weeks shouldn't make a huge difference in a man's life, but in that time lawyer Trev Greenfield has realized two things: He wants much more than a standing Friday night "date" with Max. And he's falling heart-over-head for his new housemate, potter Grace Miles.

Grace never meant to fall for Trev, but when a power failure turns their chemistry into live electricity, there's no denying the spark. There's also no denying the shock when Grace discovers a naked man in her new home.

With Grace poised to run and Max teetering between confusion and growing lust for the delicious possibilities, Trev has his hands full trying to hold the two loves of his life together…before they slip through his fingers. Leaving them all with shattered hearts.

Product Warnings: There's a lot of sex in this book. I mean a lot! Hot sex. Sweaty sex. Gay sex. Straight sex. Ménage sex (M/M/F and M/F/M). Oh, and romantic sex. Lots of romantic sex. Hot romantic sex. Sweaty romantic sex. Gay romantic sex… You getting the picture

Full house release at Samhain on the 12th of April.

All my bags are packed

I'm ready to go…

Yeah, okay, so I suck at singing. But I'm still humming that song out loud! Because my bags are indeed packed. And tomorrow I get to go away for two whole lovely weeks.

So if things are quiet from my side, don't worry. I'll be lying on the beach, soaking up some sun. (Er, if the rain ever quits, that is).

Now, if you're wondering what's happened to the Samhain Publishing and My Bookstore and More sites, here's your answer:

Samhain is undergoing a massive revamp. They're remodeling the site.

So, if you're looking for a book of mine, and you can't get onto the Samhain site, fear not.

Check out Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books On Board or  All Romance Ebooks.

Search for Jess Dee, and you'll find all my books there.

Have a happy two weeks.

Floods in Queensland

Rhian Cahill said it all in her post over at International Heat.

Rather than writing a new blog, I'm taking the liberty of posting her words here:

Nature is a fickle woman. For months people in north-eastern Australia have been complaining about a lack of rain and now it seems there prayers and wishes have been answered and then some. In Queensland and New South Wales flooding is taking a toll. A big one. Whole towns have been washed away and many communities have been cut off by rising waters. Those of us in the writing community have the privilege of meeting people from all over the world and at times like these there are more than a few of us that have friends caught in the disaster. While I wait for word of a close writing friend I know many others are receiving devastating news on loved ones and friends. My heart goes out to all of them. I can only imagine the distress of not knowing and at the moment there are quite a few Aussie's unaccounted for. The crisis isn't over, waters are still rising. For those in Australia and around the world wanting to donate to the flood relief go here  http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html

As rain continues to fall and water levels continue to rise I hope and wish for no more lost lives. Things, cars, houses, TV's, can all be replaced. People can't. To everyone in the disaster zone, stay safe.

Risking It All is now available

Just over a year ago, two of my novellas released in quick succession as e-books at Samhain:

A Question of Love and Going All In.

Now I am seriously delighted to tell you those same two novella are available in one tempting package, a print book called Risking It All.

RISKING IT ALL

When it comes to love, it's a safe bet you'll lose your heart.

A Question of Love:

Four years ago Gabe Carter left Tina Jenkins as a matter of honor, destroying the passionate threesome they'd both enjoyed with Gabe's best friend, Connor. Now Gabe's back, armed with promises of love and forever. Picking up where they left off is tempting, but Tina wants the whole package—which includes Connor—and Gabe wants her all to himself. It's up to Gabe to prove that he is the only man Tina will ever need.

Going All In:

Julia Savage's weekly poker games are not the only thing she's betting on. She's also gambling on the love of two men. Hunter Miles and Jay Baxter are happy to double up and share both Julia's affection and her body, but their attraction to each other may threaten the budding relationship between all three of them. Now it's decision time: all or nothing?

Are you ready for a combination game this hot? Double up for a taste of the edgy world of Jess Dee.

Warning: These novellas contain a whole lot of hunky heroes, heroines worth betting on, sizzling hot m/f love scenes, even hotter three-way action (m/f/m and m/m/f), adult toys, anal sex…and romance that will leave your heart pounding.

Quick Excerpts from the two novellas:

A Question of Love:

"Christ, T, I've dreamed of seeing you again." His massive hand was on her cheek now, and he dragged his thumb over her lower lip. "Kissing you again."

A wave of dizziness washed over her. Never mind the powers of speech, she couldn't think straight.

"Dreamed of touching you." His thumb traced the curve of her upper lip. "Tasting you."

Her breath caught in her throat.

"I've dreamed of you. Every night for four years." Even as he said it he bent forward. She watched, spellbound, as he closed the distance between them. With a soft groan, he pressed his mouth to hers.

She turned to mush. Standing on the footpath beside his car, with his lips on hers, she couldn't breathe. She couldn't think or talk. She could hardly hold herself upright. Her bones dissolved in her legs and her arms lost all structure. Gabe's lips were on hers—warm, soft and seductive. Gabe. Oh, dear Lord, Gabe.

He drew back to stare into her eyes. "Christ…" he whispered. "I've wanted you for four years." And then his mouth was on hers again, his tongue slipping between her lips, and she melted into him.

God help her, she hadn't meant to respond, but how could she resist the temptation that was Gabe Carter?

Sensing her capitulation, his arms closed around her, pulling her in even closer, and she lost herself in his immense size, in his taste, in his familiar, spicy scent. Had anyone ever made her feel the way Gabe and Connor did?

All it had taken with them was one kiss, and she was reduced to a trembling wreck. Nothing had changed. Shivers raced through her as Gabe deepened the kiss, reminding her how each cell in her body had always responded to the two men, how every nerve fiber had stood to attention when they touched her.

He lifted her up, curving her body into his. His chest was a solid mass against her breasts, his legs thick and muscled against her thighs. In this position it was impossible to ignore the girth of his erection straining against her belly. Its very presence made her weak-kneed and lightheaded. It also made her horny. Very, very horny.

His tongue danced with hers. His taste filled her mouth. Sex and man.

No one had tasted quite so enticing as Gabe or Connor.

Going All In:

God help her, she needed to step away. Needed to extricate herself from the deluge of testosterone that muddled her thoughts and jammed her senses. Needed to look her parents in the eye tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. She put her hands against Jay's chest to push him away but grabbed his shirt and clung for dear life instead.

Heat zinged between her legs, and she would have moaned out loud had her mouth not been taken by Jay's in a heart-pounding kiss.

Hunter pressed his lips to her neck, covering it with sweet, sensual kisses.

How could she resist? How could she push either of them away? For four months she'd been unable to choose one over the other, and here they were taking the choice away from her. Here they were offering her another solution altogether.

She loved two men, and both seemed determined to be with her. How could she not accept them?

Then again, how could she? What would happen to the three of them if she slept with both men at the same time?

But why did kissing them both feel so incredible? So right? Perhaps this was what fate had had in store for her all along. Perhaps she'd never been able to choose one because they were both her destiny.

Bullshit. No woman was graced with two men as her destiny. Not in this day and age, in which she and almost every woman she knew, whether career-oriented or not, was raised to want marriage and the customary two-point-six children.

Jay ran his tongue over hers, nipped her lower lip and pulled away.

Aw, fuck. Who cared what every other woman she knew wanted? She yanked at his shirt, pulling him right back to her, and kissed him again.

Hunter growled in her ear. "It's time to up the stakes."

As Jay continued to bamboozle her with exquisite kisses, Hunter moved with a shuffle behind her. The next thing she knew something warm and moist touched the back of her thigh, just below the edge of her skirt.

Winter Fire and Triple Dare Release at Samhain

I'm thrilled to announce the Red Hot Winter Anthology is now available at Samhain Publishing.

This is a doubly thrilling release day because I get to celebrate two special releases from the antho:

My novella: Winter Fire and Lexxie Couper's Triple Dare.

WINTER FIRE:

Guilty pleasures can heat the coldest winter night…

A Red Hot Winter story.

There's never been any question in Rachel Ashberg's mind. Jackson Brooks is the one, and they both know it. The problem? Thanks to his unbreakable rule—never date his twin sister's friends—he's completely off-limits. Even if they can't imagine being with anyone else.

It's been over two years since their last encounter, when they gave in—just once—to their passion. Now, as the Brooks twins' milestone birthday approaches, Rachel and Jackson are about to meet again at a gorgeous mountain resort. Needing something to take the edge off the desire that has never faded, she indulges in a fling with sexy stranger Garreth Halt. He even makes her forget Jackson for a while. Or…maybe not.

When she mentions Jackson's name in passing, Garreth picks up on all the hidden undertones in her voice. And he brings Jackson into their bed, if only in a fantasy they play out together. Funny thing about Garreth's fantasies, though. Even the most improbable, impossible ones have a way of becoming reality…

Warning: Enough heat is contained within these pages that you won't even notice the winter cold. You might fall in love with Jackson—the real-life hero, determined to protect his sister from further pain—but it's the handsome stranger, Garreth, who'll take your breath away.

TRIPLE DARE:

Two men, one woman, one momentous dare.

A Red Hot Winter story.

Serious and determined, Joseph Hudson isn't Australia's businessman of the year for nothing. So now he's asking himself, how did he get lost on the side of a mountain in the Colorado Rockies—in the middle of winter—with night fast approaching? Three simple words. I dare you.

Fear isn't in Rob Thorton's vocabulary. Life is for the taking, and Rob uses both hands. Challenging his best mate to take an impromptu snowboarding trip to the U.S. is just the latest in a lifetime of dares. Besides, he has an ulterior motive for the trip. And a plan…

Park Ranger Anna McCarthy knows what trouble looks like, and it's written all over the two Aussies she first encounters in the ski lodge. Instinct has her following them onto the mountain, and sure enough, they end up needing her winter survival expertise. But not even her skills can stop her body from responding to the sexy muscles she finds beneath their ski suits.

Stuck in a remote cabin until the storm passes, the temperatures rise until all bets are off. And a double dare turns into a triple threat—to their hearts.

Warning: Contains lots of scorching boy on girl on boy action, a heroine who knows what she wants and two sexy-arsed Australian heroes to really work up a sweat over. Oh, and a soul-deep love story with a revelation that may make you cry.
———
I sincerely hope you enjoy these novellas as much as Lexxie and I enjoyed writing them.

Happy reading.

Jess
